I had the pleasure to install a Ferrari 488 Xpel Clear Bra Paint Protection Film full clear bra installation with Xpel Ultimate Plus on this red Ferrari 488. The client came to me with clear bra already installed on the front end of his Ferrari but sadly it was a very poor job as illustrated by the pictures below showing many gaps, edges lifted and areas not wrapped around the edge like we do on a quality clear bra installation. We ended up removing all the old film, replacing it with a full coverage clear bra. Sealant works by adding a thin layer of acrylic, polymer or more recently Nano technology is being used on a vehicle paint.

Xpel Cleaner – This cleaner is rarely used in day to day ownership of clear bra on your clear bra. Its intended use is on a stain that won’t come off with regular washing, which is very rare. It’s easy to use as you only need a microfiber cloth, spray it on the cloth and vehicle on the area of concern then wipe the affected area till the stain is gone and next clean the area off with water. I’d suggest to use hot water as to help with self healing any minor scratching you may have put on the top coat of the film. Don’t do it in the sun when the paint is hot.

Conclusion:

Once myself and Robbie had time to speak we came to the conclusion to go with full front end and rocker panels with Ventureshield Ultra, as this was the best option at the time. I would currently recommend Xpel Ultimate for the best looks, self healing and coverage. The coverage was needed to help protect the value of his new Lamborghini Aventador for resale or trade in along with keeping it protected. I did go to bat for a full coverage, like the Lamborghini Aventador deserves, however with the amount of time Robbie will own it, this did not make sense to him. Preferably on the next one we can get it fully wrapped.
