It is a natural part of life, especially in this world, in this time. So when planting your garden, make sure that you have herbs planted that can ease your mind and relax your body whenever you need them. These are a few of the things that I have planted for stress and tension in my garden:

1. Lavender
2. Valerian
3. Vervain

These are just my opinions. You should do your own research when trying anything on this site.

wealth, love, and success

She did not recognize them. She said, "I don't think I know you, but you must be hungry. Please come in and have something to eat."

"Is the man of the house home?" they asked. "No", she said. "He's out."

"Then we cannot come in", they replied.

In the evening when her husband came home, she told him what had happened. "Go tell them I am home and invite them in," he said.

The woman went out and invited the men in. "We do not go into a house together," they replied. "Why is that?" she wanted to know. One of the old men explained: "His name is Wealth," he said pointing to one of his friends, and said pointing to another one, "He is Success, and I am Love." Then he added, "Now go in and discuss with your husband which one of us you want in your home."

The woman went in and told her husband what was said. Her husband was overjoyed. "How nice!" he said. "Since that is the case, let us invite Wealth. Let him come and fill our home with wealth!"

His wife disagreed. "My dear, why don't we invite Success?" Their daughter-in-law was listening from the other corner of the house. She jumped in with her own suggestion: "Would it not be better to invite Love? Our home will then be filled with love!"

"Let us heed our daughter-in-law's advice," said the husband to his wife. "Go out and invite Love to be our guest."

The woman went out and asked the three old men, "Which one of you is Love? Please come in and be our guest." Love got up and started walking toward the house. The other two also got up and followed him.

Surprised, the lady asked Wealth and Success: "I only invited Love, why are you coming in?" The old men replied together: "If you had invited Wealth or Success, the other two of us would've stayed out, but since you invited Love, wherever He goes, we go with him. Wherever there is Love, there is also Wealth and Success!"

GET HEALTHY HAIR NATURALLY!

The young man demonstrated remarkable technical proficiency when he hit a distant bull's eye on his first try, and then split that arrow with his second shot.

"There," he said to the old man, "see if you can match that!" Undisturbed, the master did not draw his bow, but rather motioned for the young archer to follow him up the mountain. Curious about the old fellow's intentions, the champion followed him high into the mountain until they reached a deep chasm spanned by a rather flimsy and shaky log.

Calmly stepping out onto the middle of the unsteady and certainly perilous bridge, the old master picked a far away tree as a target, drew his bow, and fired a clean, direct hit. "Now it is your turn," he said as he gracefully stepped back onto the safe ground.

Staring with terror into the seemingly bottomless and beckoning abyss, the young man could not force himself to step out onto the log, no less shoot at a target.

"You have much skill with your bow," the master said, sensing his challenger's predicament, "but you have little skill with the mind that lets loose the shot."

"The real talent is being able to apply your skills even in the most adverse situation- without fear, hesitation, or doubt."

GET RID OF A TOOTHACHE!

You can take ground cloves and chew on it, rub it on the affected gums, or chew on the whole cloves. This is a fantastic treatment that will help significantly reduce the pain until you can see the dentist.

These are just my opinions. You should do your own research when trying anything on this site.

making a difference

First she told each of them how they had made a difference to her and the class. Then she presented each of them with a blue ribbon imprinted with gold letters which read, "Who I Am Makes a Difference."

Afterwards the teacher decided to do a class project to see what kind of impact recognition would have on a community. She gave each of the students three more ribbons and instructed them to go out and spread this acknowledgment ceremony. Then they were to follow up on the results, see who honored whom and report back to the class in about a week.

One of the boys in the class went to a junior executive in a nearby company and honored him for helping him with his career planning. He gave him a blue ribbon and put it on his shirt. Then he gave him two extra ribbons and said, "We're doing a class project on recognition, and we'd like you to go out, find somebody to honor, give them a blue ribbon, then give them the extra blue ribbon so they can acknowledge a third person to keep this acknowledgment ceremony going. Then please report back to me and tell me what happened."

Later that day the junior executive went in to see his boss, who had been noted, by the way, as being kind of a grouchy fellow. He sat his boss down and he told him that he deeply admired him for being a creative genius. The boss seemed very surprised. The junior executive asked him if he would accept the gift of the blue ribbon and would he give him permission to put it on him. His surprised boss said, "Well, sure." The junior executive took the blue ribbon and placed it right on his boss's jacket above his heart. As he gave him the last extra ribbon, he said, "Would you do me a favor? Would you take this extra ribbon and pass it on by honoring somebody else? The young boy who first gave me the ribbons is doing a project in school and we want to keep this recognition ceremony going and find out how it affects people."

That night the boss came home to his 14-year-old son and sat him down. He said, "The most incredible thing happened to me today. I was in my office and one of the junior executives came in and told me he admired me and gave me a blue ribbon for being a creative genius. Imagine. He thinks I'm a creative genius. Then he put this blue ribbon that says 'Who I Am Makes A Difference'" on my jacket above my heart. He gave me an extra ribbon and asked me to find somebody else to honor. As I was driving home tonight, I started thinking about whom I would honor with this ribbon and I thought about you. I want to honor you.

My days are really hectic and when I come home I don't pay a lot of attention to you. Sometimes I scream at you for not getting good enough grades in school and for your bedroom being a mess, but somehow tonight, I just wanted to sit here and, well, just let you know that you do make a difference to me. Besides your mother, you are the most important person in my life. You're a great kid and I love you!"

The startled boy started to sob and sob, and he couldn't stop crying. His whole body shook. He looked up at his father and said through his tears, "I have been contemplating suicide, Dad, because I didn't think you loved me. Now I know you care."

The boss went back to work a changed man. He was no longer a grouch but made sure to let all his employees know that they made a difference. The junior executive helped several other young people with career planning and never forgot to let them know that they made a difference in his life. The young boy and his classmates learned a valuable lesson.

Who you are DOES make a difference.

HOW TO MAKE POULTICES!

Let’s start with a comprehensive explanation as to what a poultice is. A poultice is a medicated pad or cloth that is wet or damp and can be heated or cold which is then applied externally to: stop bleeding, ease sprains/strains, inflammations, muscle aches, etc.

Now, making one is actually quite simple. A poultice can be made out in the middle of no where or right in your home. Take a look below for two types of poultices and learn how you can treat a problem without a clinic or other emergency outlet.

POULTICE TO STOP BLEEDING:
1. For an emergency situation with bleeding wounds; first clean wound the best that you can.
2. Next apply ripped or ground (fresh) yarrow, mugwort, or better yet cayenne pepper to the wound. Dried cayenne such as found in your spice rack is perfect so take it with you on any outdoor hunting, hiking or camping trip.
3. Keep it in the wound until bleeding stops and the body will take care of it from there.
4. But be sure to rinse the wound after a few hours from the time it stops bleeding.

EMERGENCY POULTICE
1. Any thin cloth can be used as long as it is clean. This can be a thin handkerchief, cheesecloth, whatever.
2. Add the herbs in a pile on top of the cloth.
3. Fold the cloth to keep the herbs in place.
4. Pour hot water on the cloth and let cool to the touch.
5. Wrap the affected area with this poultice and tie it to stay in place.
6. The tie can be any string, but in a hurry a belt, shoelace etc. can be utilized.

These are just my opinions. You should do your own research when trying anything on this site.

last respects

The sign said: "Yesterday the person who has been hindering your growth in this company passed away. We invite you to join the funeral in the room that has been prepared in the gym."

At first everyone was sad to hear that one of their colleagues had died, but after a while they started getting curious about who this person might be.

The excitement grew as the employees arrived at the gym to pay their last respects. Everyone wondered: "Who is this person who was hindering my progress? Well, at least he's no longer here!"

One by one the employees got closer to the coffin and when they looked inside it they suddenly became speechless. They stood over the coffin, shocked and in silence, as if someone had touched the deepest part of their soul.

There was a mirror inside the coffin: everyone who looked inside it could see himself. There was also a sign next to the mirror that said: "There is only one person who is capable to set limits to your growth: it is YOU.

You are the only person who can revolutionize your life. You are the only person who can influence your happiness, your realization and your success. You are the only person who can help yourself.

Your life does not change when your boss changes, when your friends change, when your parents change, when your partner changes, when your company changes. Your life changes when YOU change, when you go beyond your limiting beliefs, when you realize that you are the only one responsible for your life.

"The most important relationship you can have, is the one you have with yourself."

NATURAL FLOUR!

It is true!! You can make yummy flour for baking cookies and cakes by using apples and pears, or a delicious and healthy flour for breads and rolls by using spinach, and carrots, or even flour in the wilderness for purposes of survival by using tree bark and wild growing foods/herbs.

It is fantastically simple. Just clean what you intend to use and follow these steps:
1. If the fruit or vegetable has a core, remove it.
2. Slice the item, for bark shave the trunk/branch of the tree
3. Dry the slices by sun, low fire or oven
4. Grind dried pieces into flour
5. Use as you would regular flour

These are just my opinions. Every herb garden should contain herbs that will help heal external injuries which can include but are not limited to: bruises, cuts, rashes, sore muscles and inflammation. The following are herbs that I use in my herb garden for these things:
*use in creams with an aloe/lanolin/or oil (essential oils or vitamin E oil) base*

1. Aloe (cuts, scrapes, punctures, etc.)
2. Angelica (anti bacterial/fungal properties)
3. Sweet Basil (sore muscles)
4. Calendula Petals (cuts, scrapes, punctures)
5. Chamomile (rashes and dry skin)
6. Yarrow Petals (cuts and burns)
7. Hyssop (burns and bruises)
8. St. John’s Wort (bruises and inflammation)
9. Valerian (rashes)

These are just my opinions.

Germaine Greer has once again courted the unnecessary by criticising Michelle Obama and her daughters- Malia and Sasha's attire during one of history’s most memorable moments.

Yes, Germaine Greer has always been known for shooting her mouth off about things so I really shouldn’t be surprised. And I generally enjoy reading her work because even though I don’t always agree with her, she gets me riled up and thinking which is predominantly why I don’t mind writers like her.

However, I remembered reading something she had said a while ago which made this latest harangue of hers quite amusing.

Greer essentially was once heard saying that as long as women remain a slave to current trends, the chains of male dominance would forever bind us. Here is a bit of that piece:

“…Germaine was explaining that there could be no liberation for women, no matter how highly educated, as long as we were required to cram our breasts into bras constructed like mini-Vesuviuses, two stitched white cantilevered cones which bore no resemblance to the female anatomy. The willingly suffered discomfort of the Sixties bra, she opined vigorously, was a hideous symbol of male oppression…” - Professor Lisa Jardine,
Source: Wikipedia

A tad hypocritical perhaps? So, we’re a slave to male oppression if we succumb to fashion, yet if we choose to wear what we like and are comfortable in, we’re then subjected to harsh judgment.

What makes this even more laughable is this spot of ridicule comes from a very vocal, self-proclaimed feminist.

We're damned if we do and we're damned if we don't. Ms Greer seems to have thrown feminism critics quite a delicious hypocritical bone to chew.

And let's not forget these pearlers from the article in The Age- Germaine Greer on describing Michelle Obama and her two daughters’ attire:

On Malia and Shasha.. "Any colour is better than pink, but these robust choices hardly strike one as girly."

On Michelle Obama- “All black with an eye-burning red panel that splattered itself down the front like a geometrical haemorrhage."

So please put aside that Michelle Obama would be the first Africa-American First Lady to grace the halls of the White House. Forget the fact that Barack Obama and his family have inspired millions. Forget how she is a strong woman, not afraid to speak her mind. Forget how she stands by her husband's side so proudly, yet somehow manages not to be as overshadowed as a few of her predecessors. Forget she is educated, intelligent and could prove to be a good role model for women.

No, no. Everyone- instead please look at what she is wearing. Like whatever, that is so like, not hot and not on.

DETOX WITH CHINESE HERBS

At
the end of the lesson, the students were asked
to list what they considered to be the Seven
Wonders of the World. Though there was some
disagreement, the following received the
most votes:

1. Egypt's Great Pyramids
2. The Taj Mahal in India
3. The Grand Canyon in Arizona
4. The Panama Canal
5. The Empire State Building
6. St. Peter's Basilica
7. China's Great Wall

While gathering the votes, the teacher noted that one student, a quiet girl, hadn't turned in her paper yet. So she asked the girl if she was having trouble with her list. The quiet girl replied, "Yes, a little. I couldn't quite make up my mind because there were so many." The teacher said, "Well, tell us what you have, and maybe we can help."

The girl hesitated, then read, "I think the Seven Wonders of the World are:

1. to touch...
2. to taste...
3. to see...
4. to hear... (She hesitated a little, and then added...)
5. to feel...
6. to laugh...
7. and to love.

The room was so quiet, you could have heard a pin drop.

May this story serve as a gentle reminder to all of us that the things we overlook as simple and ordinary are often the most wonderful - and we don't have to travel anywhere special to experience them.

Enjoy your gifts!

HERBAL REMEDIES FOR PROSTATE CANCER

Thankfully, there are herbs that can help reduce the cancer and eliminate symptoms. Among the Chinese medicine for prostate cancer ingredients that have shown to be effective in the fight against Prostate Cancer are Huang Qi, Yin Yang Ho, Wu Wei Zi, Nu Zhen Zi, Fu Pen Zi, Tu Si Zi, Bu Gu Zhi, Jin Yin Zi and Ba Ji Tian. These nine herbs, in the right combination have been used in a tea that tends to reduce the testosterone and slow the growth of Prostate Cancer. Especially in the oldest patients, the herbs are a much better treatment than surgery.

These are just my opinions. You should do your own research when trying anything on this site.

insults

Though quite old, he still was able to defeat any challenger. His reputation extended far and wide throughout the land and many students gathered to study under him.One day an infamous young warrior arrived at the village. He was determined to be the first man to defeat the great master. Along with his strength, he had an uncanny ability to spot and exploit any weakness in an opponent. He would wait for his opponent to make the first move, thus revealing a weakness, and then would strike with merciless force and lightning speed. No one had ever lasted with him in a match beyond the first move.

Much against the advice of his concerned students, the old master gladly accepted the young warrior’s challenge. As the two squared off for battle, the young warrior began to hurl insults at the old master. He threw dirt and spit in his face. For hours he verbally assaulted him with every curse and insult known to mankind. But the old warrior merely stood there motionless and calm. Finally, the young warrior exhausted himself. Knowing he was defeated, he left feeling shamed.

"An insult is like a glass of wine. It only affects you if you accept it."

STRENGTHENING YOUR BONES!

What foods encourage strong healthy bones in aging individuals? One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs. His bed was next to the room's only window.

The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back. The men talked for hours on end. They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their jobs, their involvement in the military service, where they had been on vacation.

And every afternoon when the man in the bed by the window could sit up, he would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he could see outside the window. The man in the other bed began to live for those one-hour periods where his world would be broadened and enlivened by all the activity and color of the world outside.

The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake. Ducks and swans played on the water while children sailed their model boats. Young lovers walked arm in arm amidst flowers of every color of the rainbow. Grand old trees graced the landscape, and a fine view of the city skyline could be seen in the distance.

As the man by the window described all this in exquisite detail, the man on the other side of the room would close his eyes and imagine the picturesque scene.

One warm afternoon the man by the window described a parade passing by. Although the other man couldn't hear the band - he could see it in his mind's eye as the gentleman by the window portrayed it with descriptive words. Days and weeks passed.

One morning, the day nurse arrived to bring water for their baths only to
find the lifeless body of the man by the window, who had died peacefully in his sleep. She was saddened and called the hospital attendants to take the body away. As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man asked if he could be moved next to the window. The nurse was happy to make the switch, and after making sure he was comfortable, she left him alone.

Slowly, painfully, he propped himself up on one elbow to take his first look at the world outside. Finally, he would have the joy of seeing it for himself.

He strained to slowly turn to look out the window beside the bed. It faced a blank wall. The man asked the nurse what could have compelled his deceased roommate who had described such wonderful things outside this window. The nurse responded that the man was blind and could not even see the wall.

She said, "Perhaps he just wanted to encourage you."

BENEFITS OF SUNFLOWER SEEDS!

He didn't have a lot of money and, instead of a tractor, he used an old horse to plow his field.

One afternoon, while working in the field, the horse dropped dead. Everyone in the village said, "Oh, what a horrible thing to happen." The farmer said simply, "We'll see." He was so at peace and so calm, that everyone in the village got together and, admiring his attitude, gave him a new horse as a gift.

Everyone's reaction now was, "What a lucky man." And the farmer said, "We'll see."

A couple days later, the new horse jumped a fence and ran away. Everyone in the village shook their heads and said, "What a poor fellow!"

The farmer smiled and said, "We'll see."

Eventually, the horse found his way home, and everyone again said, "What a fortunate man."

The farmer said, "We'll see."

Later in the year, the farmer's young boy went out riding on the horse and fell and broke his leg. Everyone in the village said, "What a shame for the poor boy."

The farmer said, "We'll see."

Two days later, the army came into the village to draft new recruits. When they saw that the farmer's son had a broken leg, they decided not to recruit him.

Everyone said, "What a fortunate young man."

The farmer smiled again - and said "We'll see."

Moral of the story: There's no use in overreacting to the events and circumstances of our everyday lives. Many times what looks like a setback, may actually be a gift in disguise. And when our hearts are in the right place, all events and circumstances are gifts that we can learn valuable lessons from.

FOODS THAT BOOST YOUR SEX LIFE!

But how can you get rid of them naturally without using toxic chemicals that might hurt your pet? Here are a few solutions that may help:
1. Orange oil from orange peels. Grate an orange peel with a small grater and rub the oil and small pieces of rind on your animal’s coat.
2. Mix these dried ingredients: garlic, cedar, bergamot and lemon balm. Rub into the animals coat or sprinkle in the bed of the pet.

These are just my opinions. Name the five wealthiest people in the world.

2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners.

3. Name the last five winners of the Miss America contest.

4. Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer prize.

5. Name the last five Academy Award winners for Best Actor and Actress.

How did you do?

The point is, none of us remembers the headliners of yesterday. These are no second-rate achievers. They're the best in their fields. But the applause dies. Awards tarnish. Achievements are forgotten. Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners.

Now here's another quiz. See how you do on this one:

1. Name three teachers who aided your journey through school.

2. Name three friends who helped you through a difficult time.

3. Name five people who have taught you something worth while.

4. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special.

5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with.

Easier?

The lesson?

The people who make a difference in your life aren't the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards. They're the ones who care.

ECZEMA?

But, if topical treatments are not working, perhaps you should try healing eczema with juice. Juice is an easily absorbable way to get the vital nutrients for healing this condition.

Juices: red grapes, black currants, spinach, beets and carrots. Cucumber is widely used both topically and ingested as an added ingredient.

But beware that in the beginning of fasting, or juicing the problem may seem worse before it gets better. This is due to the large amount of impurities leaving the body thus irritating it slightly. When the bulk of the problem elements are gone the condition will be eliminated.

These are just my opinions. You should do your own research when trying anything on this site.
