It  has been several years since I started into the 4-year training for Rubenfeld  Synergy Method and graduated.  I remember a very good friend of mine, who  graduated and was building her private Rubenfeld Synergy practice told me that I  would change - that if I would look back on the photos submitted with my  application, I would not be the same person.  It kind of scared me at first, but  then I was curious what did that mean?  Would I change that much that I would  fall out of love for my husband, my hobbies? &lt;br /&gt;
1.&amp;nbsp; Express your goal in terms of specific events or behaviors. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
For a dream to become a goal, it has to be specifically defined in terms  of operations, meaning what will be done. When a goal is broken down  into steps, it can be managed and pursued much more directly. "Being  happy," for example, is neither an event, or a behavior.&amp;nbsp; When you set  out to identify a goal, define what you want in clear and specific  terms.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
2.&amp;nbsp; Express your goal in terms that can be measured. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
How else will you be able to determine your level of progress, or even  know when you have successfully arrived where you wanted to be? For  instance, how much money do you aspire to make? &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
3.&amp;nbsp; Assign a timeline to your goal. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Once you have determined precisely what it is you want, you must decide  on a timeframe for having it. The deadline you've created fosters a  sense of urgency or purpose, which in turn will serve as an important  motivator, and prevent inertia or procrastination. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
4.&amp;nbsp; Choose a goal you can control. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Unlike dreams, which allow you to fantasize about events over which you  have no control, goals have to do with aspects of your existence that  you control and can, therefore, manipulate. In identifying your goal,  strive for what you can create, not for what you can't. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
5.&amp;nbsp; Plan and program a strategy that will get you to your goal. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Pursuing a goal seriously requires that you realistically assess the  obstacles and resources involved, and that you create a strategy for  navigating that reality. Willpower is unreliable, fickle fuel because it  is based on your emotions. Your environment, your schedule and your  accountability must be programmed in such a way that all three support  you — long after an emotional high is gone. Life is full of temptations  and opportunities to fail. Those temptations and opportunities compete  with your more constructive and task-oriented behavior. Without  programming, you will find it much harder to stay the course.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
6. Define your goal in terms of steps. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Major life changes don't just happen; they happen, one step at a time.  Steady progress, through well-chosen, realistic, interval steps,  produces results in the end. Know what those steps are before you set  out.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
7. Create accountability for your progress toward your goal. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Without accountability, people are apt to con themselves. If you know  precisely what you want, when you want it — and there are real  consequences for not doing the assigned work — you are much more likely  to continue in your pursuit of your goal. Find someone in your circle of  family or friends to whom you can be accountable. Make periodic reports  on your progress.&lt;br /&gt;

Here are some ways to create a greater sense of well being during this transitional time.&lt;br /&gt;Here are some great natural remedies to reduce depression symptoms.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid)&lt;br /&gt;Vitamin C plays an important role in production of serotonin; it catalyzes the manufacturing of serotonin. Serotonin is a brain chemical, a neurotransmitter, responsible, for your mood. Vitamin C is therefore one of the valuable natural antidepressants for those suffering with depression associated with a deficiency in serotonin.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Symptoms of a mild ascorbic acid deficiency include: Fatigue, irritability and depression. Take your vitamin C supplement early, in the morning or at lunch, due to some may experience difficulty falling asleep if they take supplements later in day.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Season Affect Disorder relief&lt;br /&gt;Vitamin D (Calcifersol)&lt;br /&gt;Recent studies have shown that Vitamin D supplementation can relieve depression, especially seasonal depression.  Seasonal Affect Disorder is often caused due to the winter months the lack of sunshine can lead to or worsen mood disorders.  Vitamin D is produced in the skin under the influence of sunlight, so the vitamin D level in the body is higher during the summer months and lower in the winter.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Recommended dosage of Vitamin D in the winter months is 4000IU&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For Relief of Mild Depression SYMPTOMS:&lt;br /&gt;Drink plenty of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Listen to joyful music and sip fresh lemonade; it is uplifting for body and mind. If you do not like the sour taste of lemon juice, fresh grapefruit or fresh orange juice will also do the trick. They are also found to help relieve depression symptoms if consumed regularly.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Herbal teas to help relieve depression : Peppermint, Lemon balm, Ginger teas are lovely natural cures for depression. If you like sipping herbal teas the following are great to help imprive mood:Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis) has got its name from strong lemon scent of the plant. Leaves are collected in the summer and dried in open air. Melissa herbal teas help with depression, minor sleep problems and nervousness. Lemon balm infusion has calming; relaxing effect has the power to reduce hyperactivity and agitation. The best choice is drinking Melissa tea in the evening, after food, before bedtime. Put 2-3g of dried leaves into 1 cup of boiling water and strain.&lt;br /&gt;*Caution: avoid long term usage (1-3 months) as lemon balm may reduce hormonal activity of the sex glands.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Peppermint (Mentha piperita) leaves are harvested in the summer, when they are most aromatic. The infusion is warming and stimulating depression treatment. It stimulates brain functions and aids clear thinking. Peppermint tea clears the head helps to feel fresh and bright and ready for mental effort. Refreshing and stimulating peppermint tea is good natural remedy for depression. Put 1 dessertspoon of dried leaves into 150ml of boiling water. Leave to infuse for 10-15 minutes and strain. This means clarifying what is lacking and then  clarifying what you would like more of.&amp;nbsp; What would your ideal life  look like?&amp;nbsp; Take a minute to write down what you would love to see in  your career, in your relationships, in your personal growth and for your  health.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;2. Create&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Once you have clarified what you would like to see in your life, it  is time to create the blueprint.&amp;nbsp; Your dreams will not be realized on  their own, you need to create a specific plan.&amp;nbsp; What steps can you take?  What markers can you use at points of achievement?&amp;nbsp; What do you need to  do on a monthly, weekly and daily schedule? Create your list.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;3. Commit&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Once you have created a plan, you need to commit to the process.&amp;nbsp;  Nothing worth achieving is going to happen overnight.&amp;nbsp; You need to  acknowledge that what you are striving for is worth the time and  commitment.&amp;nbsp; Commit to doing whatever you can to increase your chances  of succeeding.&amp;nbsp; Bring on the support of friends, work with a life coach,  talk to a therapist, or work with a physical trainer.&lt;br /&gt;

When do you feel your best?  When do you feel the most insecure? Even the most confident individuals  go through periods of self-doubt. I am pretty secure in who I am and  what I believe, but there are plenty of days where everything seems to  go against me and the voice of fear pops up. As long as this feeling is  few and far between, it doesn't affect me all that much. Are there areas  of your life where you are a bit insecure? It is very natural to feel  confident in certain areas and lack the confidence in others. That means  there is room for growth! Remember nobody is perfect, so don't beat  yourself up over your flaws. There are many things you can do to improve  and boost your confidence. Just like you need to weight train in order  to build your muscles, you need to take part in daily activities to  boost you confidence. The people you associate with play an important  role in your self confidence. If the people you surround yourself with  are constantly criticizing you or your abilities, of course you are  going to harbor feelings of self-doubt. Be extremely picky in who you  allow into your life! Just remember that self-confidence is a learned  response over time. You put yourself in situations that will ultimately  boost your confidence level. Here are some tips to get you started this  week:&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;b&gt;1. Set and achieve goals&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Setting and then achieving goals will boost your confidence. Most people  however, set unrealistic goals that are difficult to achieve. When you  continue to fail in your goals, then, of course, your confidence  plummets. For now, write down some realistic goals and the steps needed  to achieve them. Crossing off even one step at a time will boost your  confidence.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;2. Participate in activities you enjoy&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
By participating in activities you enjoy, you are focusing on your  strengths and passions. Highlighting your strengths instead of your  weaknesses adds up over time. Commit to taking some time each and every  day to do something you enjoy. This seems fairly simple, but most people  don't prioritize and set aside this time.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;b&gt;3. List past successes&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Make a list of all your past achievements and success stories. It is  amazing that we spend so much time and energy focusing on what we have  done wrong, instead of remembering all we did right. Make this list and  then read it when feelings of self-doubt begin to invade your mind. Keep  this list handy and pat yourself on the back when you need a little  boost.&lt;br /&gt;

Like many, I have struggled most of my life with not being real in who I am. I learned to survive by withholding what feels real. When events happen – when someone says or does something that hurts me – I have learned in my life to absorb the hit and pretend that nothing has changed, that everything is the same. But when I did this, my energy was used up in pretending that nothing has happened and my body started to scream. &lt;br /&gt;

My body would scream to me through pain, emotional release, or upset stomach when I was suppressing what I was really feeling and could not express it in various life situations. When I learn to listen to my body’s story through Rubenfeld Synergy, I was able to experience a taste of being real. My body did not hurt, I felt comfortable to speak my truth, and it supported me as I moved through my daily life in various life experiences. You make a New Year's resolution to lose weight, or to start exercising. You feel excited about the huge changes you are going to make in your life. The first day, the first week, even, you are enthusiastic and go about your new program with all the energy of a seven-year-old kid with a brand new hamster from Santa on Christmas morning. And just like that kid, after a few weeks, the shiny factor wears off on your New Year's resolution and you realize how much work your new hamster is.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The problem is not you. You are not flaky, lazy, or weak-willed. The problem is that you are attempting to consciously overwrite your subconscious programming.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Our sub-conscious programs are part of what keeps us functioning in a busy, hectic world. If you've ever gone through a task without actively concentrating on each and every step, you were allowing your sub-conscious mind to do the work, leaving your conscious mind to think about more interesting things. If you've ever driven a car, letting your mind wander back to the pet hamster you once had, then suddenly realized you can't remember having driven the last two miles, you've personally experienced this phenomenon. When you were a teenager and you were still learning, driving took all of your powers of concentration. Hands at ten and two, you checked your mirrors (I hope!), searched for the gas pedal, pressed the pedal down, quickly backing off as the car lurched forward, clicked on your turn signal, looked out the windows, past your father nervously clutching the door handle and gritting his teeth, and checked the rearview mirror, just to change lanes. Now, you are smoothly able to do all of these things while talking to your mom on your cell phone, (that's terrible! Haven't you signed Oprah's No Phone Zone Pledge yet?) all while navigating heavy rush hour traffic and munching on a carton of french fries. So who exactly is it that is expertly driving your car while you are preoccupied with these other, much more important tasks? The answer is the subconscious portion of your mind is running on the programs that were written there after you learned how to drive.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Unfortunately, sometimes our subconscious programs have us doing things that don’t serve us. That may mean finishing your entire plate when you are not hungry or watching that TV show instead of going for a jog. Now you can see why so many New Year’s resolutions fail!&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The good news is, there is something you can easily do to make those resolutions stick. There are many names for this, the more well-known being "projection" and "transference". In essence, we play what has been said or done, or what hasn't been said or done, over, and over, until we think we come to terms with it. &lt;br /&gt;

Our body holds our life's story - the trauma that we have experienced from various aspects of our life. It is emotional content that we hold in our bodies, sometimes we hold it in our stomach, our shoulders, or somewhere else that we are not conscious of. &lt;br /&gt;

My own experience of having Rubenfeld Synergy sessions has been life changing for me. For many years, I got up early each morning about 1:30 am and found myself cleaning the kitchen, wiping off counter tops, making sure all the dishes were done, and the kitchen was spotless. It was not until I started my personal Rubenfeld Synergy sessions that I became aware of this pattern. The habit of getting up early each morning at 1:30 a.m. was linked to a tragic childhood that I was subjected to. Through working with my personal Rubenfeld Synergist, I was able to become aware of the emotional content that I held in my body, to heal and to release the emotional trauma that I held in my body. I am now in a place that I feel lighter in my body, feel safe, and I love who I truly am.&lt;br /&gt;
