And we were loving every minute of it!
So let get this started before my eyes pop out. Where did you grow up?
Quite a few places! I was born in Newport, RI, moved to Mclean, VA until I was 12, moved to Westport, CT and Manhattan, NY, attended boarding school in Vermont, spent my summers in Newport, RI and then headed out to Los Angeles, CA for College where I have stayed ever since. But now as a model I spend two weeks a month in NYC.
We know your father was a senior official in the Reagan administration. What was it like for you, growing up?
I grew up very cosmopolitan, very fast paced and very well-mannered. Education and hard work were emphasized very strongly in my household.
How did you get the name Malibu Barbie?
When I was competing for the title of Miss Rhode Island USA, all of the contestants said I looked like “Malibu Barbie” and the nickname stuck. Since then people actually buy me Barbies, it’s a long running joke!
Tell us what baby talk and your first name has in common?
My real name is “Katharine.” I am the youngest of 4 siblings. When I was 8 my brother had a beautiful blonde girlfriend. He was 17 at the time and her name was “Kaki.” After that, I became Kaki!
I know what I'd say your best asset is, but what would you say your Best Asset is?
My long legs are my best physical asset. They are 36 inches from hip to toe! Men have always loved my legs; actually women compliment me more than men on my legs. I have had strangers stop me in the street to ask me how long my legs were. Crazy, huh?!
How'd you get into modeling?
I started modeling at 14, got signed by a huge agency in NYC and it took off from there. It has been a lot of highs and lows. But at the end of the day it is my passion. I have achieved so much success for a young woman. I own two cars and a million dollar condo so it has paid me handsomely, not without my lows, let me assure you of that.
Do you like acting or modeling better?
In modeling I become a character with my looks and wardrobe. I literally become someone else, whether it be a sultry supermodel, a happy-go-lucky girl in a bikini or a seductress in chains. Acting is my release. I keep a lot to myself. When I get into character I can express and let go of all my inhibitions. I can morph into someone else so completely that it takes me a while to get back to being “Kaki.” I get so intense, I re-read my scripts, don’t answer my phone. All I care about is my acting. Some would call it “method” acting.
So what have you learned NOT to do since you've been in the biz?
Do not take anyone’s word for it. Any guy can go to Kinko’s and make up a card that says “producer,” “photographer” and “director.” My BS detector has become extremely accurate.
Where do you want to go with your modeling?
I grew up with Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell and Christy Turlington’s picture on my wall. I wanted so badly in 8th grade to emulate their careers. To be a supermodel, to be the face of national clothing campaigns, to walk the catwalk for Versace and Gucci. That is my ultimate goal to bring back the glamour of being a supermodel. To be the face of L’Oreal and to land the Versace campaign.
You're an actress as well, I see. We happened to catch you on CSI. Can you tell us about the other acting rolls you've had?
Recently, I filmed “The Bronx is Burning” for ESPN, it’s their new mini-series. I am also on the next season of “Entourage” playing a high-maintenance model girlfriend to one of the main characters.
If you could have any job in the world other than modeling or acting what would it be?
To be a mom or wife. I have always wanted to be a trophy wife and a great mom. So if I was not modeling or acting, I would gladly be a devoted wife and mommy. Trust me, I have had a very self-obsessed career and full life. It would be such a joy for me to take care of others and take the focus off the superficiality of my looks and model body.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
In ten years I see myself still working as a model and having my own skin care line and hawking it on QVC. Then flying home to my family and doing a lot of charity work. I also plan to have my pilot’s license. I would like to have a life similar to Angelina Jolie, a public ambassador, a mom and an actress.
Do you have a website?
Yes! www.KakiWest.com
Now we know you took dance like ballet, jazz and tap. But can you get your groove on in the club?
Yes, but only if I’m behind a velvet rope with my bottle service! Give me vodka and yes I will be shaking it with you!
Would you ever spice things up by dancing for your man?
I have danced for my man on several occasions.
What's the wildest thing you've ever done?
I could tell you, but then I’d have to kill you. I’m not kidding.
What's the wildest ting you ever saw?
Marines on a recent mission, war firsthand.
So, does looks mean a lot to you when you're looking at the opposite sex?
I appreciate a man who takes care of himself. We all like to look at beautiful people. But at the end of the day I want substance, I want my heart to beat, I want to admire my man not for his looks but for his essence.
So was it odd dating when guys find out what your father did for a living?
Oh, I am a daddy’s girl. So trust me, I would keep most of the boys away if I could! I have brought very few men home to meet my father. I adore my father, he is my hero. So if I bring you home, it’s a HUGE deal.
What type of man do you like?
I like a man’s man. I like the alpha dog. That is my type. I like street-smart, sexy and very brave men who are athletic. I like to feel protected, to feel taken care of. As a model I have to deal with a lot of unwanted attention. So I like a man who makes me feel so secure and makes me feel like his princess in this cold world.
Are you the romantic laid back type or are you a wild child?
I am romantic. I am writer so often I will write you a love letter or leave you a note. I will light candles, go to Victoria’s Secret. I definitely spoil my man. I will buy gifts because you’re always on my mind. I love surprising and spoiling my man. I would give you the shirt off my back, it you were my man.
Turn ons:
Confidence, intelligence, courageousness, muscles and killer smile.
Turn offs:
Gold-diggers, laziness, stupidity, and people who have no sense of drive or purpose.
What’s the worst pick up line you've ever heard?
“Are you a model?” Trust me, I get this all the time and I really hate it.
How do you let a guy know you're really not interested?
I change my number. There is a saying “shoot the puppy in the head.” I believe that, let’s not waste each other’s time. Because my time is precious.
Have you ever had your heart broken?
Oh yes, I have had my heart broken. When I love you it’s all or nothing. So when it ends, inevitably it’s going to hurt like hell.
Okay, let’s change gears. What's your favorite gadget?
My BlackBerry, my iPods, my Mac laptop and my navigation system in my car. I love gadgets. I had the iPhone but I went back to my Crackberry!
Yeah it's totally and addiction to have a BlackBerry. So I hear you're a big music lover. What do you like to listen to?
I adore music. I always have something playing in the car, in my house, in my hotel rooms. I am very demanding on my shoots about what it playing, usually I bring my own iPods so can groove out during hours of shooting. All types from rap to country. Seriously, whatever pulls at my heart strings is what I will listen to.
What's in your CD player now?
Gwen Stefani, Eagles, Kanye West, Akon, Robin Thicke
Nice collection. What did you listen to growing up?
Everything, my first tape was Paula Abdul!
You seem like a happy person. Is there anything that really pisses you off?
To really piss me off is to be completed unfair to me. I use the word “fairness” in a general term. We all know right from wrong. Just be fair to me. When you go the opposite direction of what is good and right, I despise you.
What makes you the most happy?
I am most happy honestly with the triumphs in my careers. I am a Type A and work so hard. I never stop to realize my success, may they be small or big. So when I achieve my goals it brings me so much satisfaction and joy in my efforts. I am also filled with joy whenever I leave church on Sundays, it gives me such a sense of peace in this chaotic world.
What do you do for fun when you're not modeling?
For fun I see my friends, I go out to restaurants, take vacations, go to the spa and retail therapy my little heart out!
Are you a designer label type of girl?
Yes, I am a very designer label girl. I grew up as a high fashion model. I was wearing Gucci in the 8th grade. Yes, my purses range from Chanel, Gucci, Prada, YSL, and Dior. I love Jimmy Choo shoes. Rodeo Drive and I are very close, I live in Beverly Hills!
If I gave you the floor to do shout outs, promotions, or whatever, who would make that list?
“Success is a journey never traveled alone.” So thank you first and foremost to God, my family, my late grandfather whom is my guardian angel, my man, my amazing PR company Levine Communications Office, Amanda, Emily, Sabrina, Kimmy and Christina. Last but not least, VBlazin for giving me this amazing opportunity. And George Hoffman who is the best photographer!
Well thank you for stopping by. I hope you'll come back and let the fans know what your up to sometime in the future.

Issue 68

As promised we bring you the heat with the hot and sexy Nancy DiNino. She's known as the Italian/Venezuelan Bomb shell around the VBLAZIN offices. The body is like a rock, but it's a rock that I'd definitely like to hold very close to me. Welcome to the VBLAZIN couch ma! Where did you grow up?
I actually grew up in Canada although all my family lives for the most part in the US, (some in Italy and Venezuela too). Years ago my father landed a great job opportunity in Canada so we had to move. It just meant more traveling. Were you into fitness when you were growing up, or did that come later?
I was always a hyperactive kid and athletic growing up. I started with at 7-year gymnastics career but interesting enough once the genetics set in and the Latin curves; it was very hard to maintain the ideal gymnast physique. Ha-ha! Throughout grade and high school I was an energetic bomb being captain of the cheerleading team, played volleyball and did Track & Field. More seriously though I would have to say I was born to dance and therefore had to continue my dance training which originally came from my gymnastics and I was dedicated to establishing a dance career. Boy, everyone knew that I could throw it down on the dance floor with a natural ability to drop a Latin or hip hop move! Crazy I say! It came so natural that I continued with my dance training in hip-hop, jazz and Latin Ballroom...with a sick addiction to hip hop and Salsa dancing. And once I put my mind to something, it's a done deal. Before you know it I auditioned for a Latin Dance Company called “Strickly Salsa Latin Dance Company” and we performed all over. Dancing with the stars...move on out! Ha-ha! Our team was very fortunate to be invited to perform at the infamous Bacardi World Salsa Congress in Puerto Rico and if any of you are familiar with the Latin scene you would know that is like the “All Star NBA weekend”. This whole time of my life was wonderful performing and travelling on tour with the team. I do believe I was a born performer and once we were finished I decided to take a break from the dance world. Well that didn't last long as I was in the gym one day and someone approached me with the suggestion of doing fitness competitions since I already had all the ingredients of dance, gymnastics and a performer's personality....it was a go from there...but a long journey to get my body lookin' tight! Damn! A birdie told me that you go to a lot of fitness shows. But I know there's a softer side to you. Can you tell us about that?
Well I guess I couldn't keep my mouth from rollin' in the last question..but yeahhh! I am a Fitness athlete. But what people got to remember is that is a look that I only have for a very short time period while “on season and training for shows” which on season runs around 14-18 weeks. It's impossible to keep in that shape and level of conditioning for longer, your body is way too tired. It's short lived , a goal that is attained and then I get back to where I came from and where my body usually sits at with a leaner upper body but a very soft and voluminous lower body...there ain't nothing that can keep this Latin Booty away...It's here to stay! Besides my shapely curves is what sells my modelling, keeps the peeps wanting more! How'd you get into modeling?
When I was a little girl I remember looking at magazines and watching the movies and wishing I could be a supermodel, but always believed (especially growing up and in my teen years) that I would never be one since I didn't have the look that depicted the 80's & 90's era..being the blonde hair, blue eyes, all American Fara Fawcett ..Heidi Klum and the girls who where a size 0 and about 5'9 tall. But I tell you I am so glad that over the years the world and the media expanded their ideal of beauty and started recognizing women who came in different shapes, sizes, backgrounds and ethnicities. I have such respect for people like Tyra Banks who pushed the envelope and paved the way for recognizing beauty “outside” what the media portrayed. Once that happened I used my outgoing personality, exotic look and “fit physique” to market myself and brand myself accordingly. I see myself as my own “walking billboard” and trust me when I say that my personality and drive opened many doors for my modeling career. Remember modeling isn't about just you, but it's about what you can do for the company, publication or product at hand.
So what have you learned NOT to do since you've been in the biz?
Great question! I have not learned to deal with the sometimes “on the fly and last minute arrangements” or bookings. Yes I do realize that often in the business, castings and bookings are last minute, however, I am such a perfectionist and my days from the moment I get up are often very organized and structured, so I get a little stressed with someone throws a little 'unexpected change' into the mix. Oh and if I may add politely, I have not yet mastered the art of “kissing a**” just to land an assignment. I will always stand for my morals and my integrity...having a strong ethical mind to personify my image and talent and will not jeopardize that in any way.
Where do you want to go with your modeling?
Modeling is modeling. But what intrigues me is the “Art of Modeling” That comes from my artistic nature and the performer that I am. When I am in front of the camera, I am in a sense an actor in a role trying to portray a certain look and feel to the reader. Funny as this is a concept that I wish more women would grasp. A lot of women call themselves models, even if they are opportune to getting published, but when you pick up a magazine, you know in the first few seconds at a glance whether someone is a model or someone who tries to model. Modeling is not just , thinking you got a tight body and therefore you hit the camera up with a bunch of T&A shots. That is just un-classy and somewhat trashy if I can be direct. (yes I will tell it like it is). Modeling is about a “feeling you create and a look you present” to the audience. And how that is done is through your personal expression, your facial features, your body language, your ability to be versatile in your looks and expression, ability to make your audience feel a certain sense of emotion and being familiar with how your body moves fluidly. This is where the true essence of “professional modeling comes to play” If you look at the top models you will see, sometimes the simplest look or photo will speak millions.. So having said all that, I really just want to continue to work on improving my abilities and the art of modeling, the diversification in modeling and expand into more fashion, artistic, black and whites and unique still or mode modeling. This way I can reach out to a greater mass of people and their satisfactions. That is why I see myself as a chameleon as I take a wide range of photos and you will see how different my body or expressions may be in each of them. Additionally, I want to continue to grace the international scene with some more covers.
If you could have any job in the world other than modeling what would it be?
To be a bigger and better TV and Radio host then I am now. I would love to have my own show, I feel so comfortable in front of the camera. It would include something with dance/sports/music and entertainment. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
To be honest I never look into my future and say “ I hope to have this or that”..all I can say is that I hope to be happy with financial freedom of course, to have a great quality of life, and spend it with someone who cares about me and great family and friends to spend my days with. As for my career I will always be striving for more, bigger and better within the industry. It's all a journey. I am somewhat of an insatiable person so once I achieve what I have put my mind towards, then I reach for the next big thing. I always THINK BIG AND DREAM BIG, and live like it's already here!
Do you have a website?
Yeah! Of course! www.myspace.com/nancydininothemodel
Now ya know we have to ask you about your fitness show. Can you tell the readers where they can hear it?
I am the Co-Host of Living Beautiful Radio (along with Dr. Navarro) Funny because it certainly isn't just about fitness...you need to listen to the segment we have on the SEX Files! (wink, wink!). In all seriousness, yes Living Beautiful Radio is a show dedicated to the modern-day, multi-faceted women who crave the most cutting edge information in health, beauty, nutrition, fitness, medicine, living lifestyle and the “science of Living Beautiful”. The goal with the show is to be able to reach out to a wide range of women of different ages, backgrounds and lifestyles in so the information we provide can relate and reach out to a diverse audience. And our listeners are very diverse. Living Beautiful Radio airs on WWNN 1470AM Radio, Palm Beach Florida, and Sundays at 6pm EST. The show is also available for a worldwide broadcast replay segment on www.LivingBeautifulRadio.com
I heard you're a great Salsa Dancer. I'd love to check out your moves someday. I find that extremely sexy. Have you been in any dance competitions?
Didn't I tell you I can't keep a secret! I think you know by now that I can blow up on a microphone since all my answers are bleeding into the next. And that is what I talkin' bout...some Latin moves that are just sexy and sultry. As you know salsa dancing is very sensual and pleasing to the eye...makes everyone want to get down and dirty if you know what I mean...But yes as I briefly mentioned before this I was part of dance company where we would get booked for various theatre productions and would perform in various competitions which included the world renowned Bacardi World Salsa Congress in Puerto Rico. By far an honorable and memorable experience.
I know that Salsa ain't the only thing on your into. What's in your CD player now?
MAN! Can't live with my hip-hop and R&B! Actually I really prefer a smooth R&B or soulful groove. Some of my favorites are Alicia Keys, Mary J Blige, Toni Braxton, Sade, R Kelly, Usher, Neyo, J Holiday, Aaliyah, Prince, Janet Jackson, Tito Puente, Jennifer Lopez, Celia Cruz WOW! I see you got some smooth joints in there. What did you listen to growing up?
Funny because “back in the day” in the 80's and 90's in my opinion still holds strong to today's beats. I love the early days of Prince, Sheila E, Janet Jackson, Bobby Brown, Guy, Teddy Riley, New Edition, Johnny Gill, Keith Sweat, LL Cool J, En Vogue, Madonna of course...those were the days that I wish where still around! So who's your favorite artists past or present?
That is a tuff one! Janet Jackson, R Kelly So let's switch gears for a sec., Cause the body's got a brotha thinking bad things. So I gotta ask. Would you ever spice things up by dancing for your man?
Hell ya! But that person has gots to be pretty damn 'guapito' for me to do that. I told you I see modeling and dancing as an expression of my personality and form of art, so I think it's a beautiful thing and would love to feed my man's visual hunger and intoxication with a classy dance, Debbie Moore's Strip Tease, move on over, the Red Storm has got something better. I can already see it in my mind as I am thinking this...I love that! I would be so in my element. But only for the real special ones, they would get that unique pleasure. Does looks mean a lot to you when you're looking at the opposite sex?
Sure it does but let me set the record straight, it's not the end all or be all. A guy can look 'hella-fly' but then as soon as he opens his mouth he creates such a turn off. The worst is that. Meeting someone who is really good looking and then he has no personality or a cocky personality..He's gotts to go! On the same page though, I take pride in my appearance from my grooming , clothing, body and overall appearance, so I expect the same in someone else. They don't have to be supa-fly and often you will meet people who are “okay looking” buts it's their personality that makes them even more attractive…I LOVE THAT SURPRISE! Know what I mean? When someone's personality is soo hype that it makes you feel good and lights a spark on them. Now that is hot! Turn ons: a quiet confidence in a man but who also has a “take charge attitude” Someone who is a true gentleman and attends the class of a lady, and is very thoughtful and giving. Someone who is independent and spontaneous. Ohh! And if you can sing...you can be certain you will be able to “woo ma attention” He has to be well kept too. I love a man who takes pride in his grooming and appearance. Sometimes a guy just has a certain type of walk that has sexiness written all over it...mm mm good! Turn offs: Guys who are cocky, over confident, who only talk about themselves and think about themselves. Ones who complain and are needy, lazy and depend on others to get things done. What type of man do you like?
I love it when a guy is so thoughtful that he thinks ahead of me! I have such a hectic lifestyle that it's nice when my man can complement my life by saying or doing something without having to be prompted or reminded. Feel me? And because I can be very intense , I find I do get along better with men who are very easy going and don't get overly stressed, but rather have an attitude of “don't worry, I will take care of it for you, or it will get done”. My man also has to be free of any jealousy or insecurities factors, especially in this industry. I can't have someone trippin' when a fan is complimenting me on a magazine cover or trying to hit me up at an autograph signing. I also love a man that is positive and lives life with an attitude similar to mine, that all things are possible, 'just do it”. Be spontaneous and one who lives outside the box of life...we can get up and roll when we want to. I also need him to be reliable and dependable. And he gotta keep his 'goods' looking tight too, well groomed and must take care of his physical appearance including dress. I love a man with passion and who loves to travel but at the same time holds strong traditional family values. Sooo...is that too much to ask for? What's the wildest thing you've ever done?
Hmmm..... can't think about a good one right now, but maybe ask a couple of past limo drivers (wink! wink!) With the shape your in I guess you don't get a lot of chicks wanting to test your patients when you go out huh?
I either get a look of inspiration and envy or jealousy. The down to earth ones will come over to compliment me and I am more than willing to engage in conversations. The haters...well..keep hating. People don't realize that my body is my temple and I work hard to look a certain way, and trust me it's a lot of work whether being soft and shapely or a having a body lookin' tight.
Did you ever get in to fights growing up?
A couple here and there. I need to be really tempered for me to get physical like that.
You seem like a happy person. Is there anything that really pisses you off?
Yes I love to live life inspired and really follow my heart. I never want to be one that will fall victim to the “I wish I could or I can't because...”. Tell that story to someone else....So I guess I get really irritated by people who live life off fear and excuses for themselves as for why they don't do things. I also can't stand liars, people who keep me waiting, or people who are unreliable/undependable and say they will do something and don't follow through. I take that as an insult and gotta say see ya! I have no time for that craziness. What makes you the most happy?
Just being around family and close friends that know Nancy for Nancy..who sees the true Nancy while I am just hanging out, chillin, laughing at stupid things. I feel most happy when I feel like I am in control of my life or what is going on in my life at the time. When I feel free to make decisions for myself and do what I want to do without feeling restricted.
What do you do for fun when you're not modeling?
Really, I love to just hang out with friends, and share some good conversation and laughter over dinner or at a nice R&B/soul lounge. I love to travel to warm places. I love my movies especially a good action or drama flick. And because I don't get a lot of time for “fun” or down time, I enjoy nourishing the spiritual side of myself so I take time for myself to relax and read motivational or spiritual driven books. I love reading books about karma and the laws of attraction ,much like the popular “The Secret” . I really believe in karma in that whatever you put out into the world, comes back to you in multiplicity and what you focus on expands.
Are you a designer label type of girl?
I can be. I love my labels but I go with whatever fits me and suits my look and image. I really like to exude much class and like to emulate that in my appearance along with a trendy spunk. I love anything from Armani to Dolce & Gabana to more urban styles of Baby Phat, Apple bottom, Dereon
Are you the romantic laid back type or are you a wild child?
There is a time and a place for everything right? Really depends and part of me and my personality is that I am so animated and versatile. Typically, I am a true romantic at heart.. I love the whole “Pretty women” story line. I love the whole anticipation of romance and pleasing your significant other. One of my greatest pleasures is seeing the pleasure I can give someone else. But on the same note, different people can bring out different sides of you and with me, when I am with the right person whom I feel comfortable with. It's any time or any place...OYE!! VAMOS!
So, If I gave you the floor to do shout outs, promotions, or whatever. Who would make that list?
Damn, where do I start? Always with God first for blessing me with so many wonderful people in my life and with many wonderful gifts of talent and opportunity. , and My family of course, my parents are my “idols” teaching me so much about this life! Not to mention her gracious looks have allowed her to appear in over 35 national commercials and campaigns from Ralph Lauren to Pepsi, lingerie, and even swimsuit catalogues. Recently dubbed the number 1 Latina music profile on Myspace.com, this beauty also happens to be a DJ. Reece’s satellite radio show, “The Buzz” is syndicated worldwide and is the number 1 hip-hop show on Nowlive.com. Looks, deejaying, and sex appeal are on Somaya’s mind.
You’re the main DJ for show called “The Buzz” on Nowlive, Satellite radio. How did you get started doing that?
I was offered a couple of spots on larger radio stations from appearing on Wild 96.1 FM in San Bernardino. But “The Buzz” gives me freedom. I actually don’t have to go into the studio. This show allows me to interact with listeners and fans. There is an interactive chat room for the listeners so it’s really involved. The great thing about that is you really get to know your fans and interact with them.
So what kinds of topics do you get into on the show?
My show is about everything you can think of. Free giveaways, whatever is on your mind, all the latest celebrity gossip, and freestyle battles judged by hit producers. Also there are interviews with celebrities and featuring undiscovered talent. There are also fun segments like my prank calls to your mom, dad, your boss and the hot or not show!
How has the internet helped you get to where your radio gigs and music are at now?
I already had experience before I promoted on the internet with ads with Colgate and Pepsi. But at the time I didn’t have money for a publicist so I used the internet. I never knew it would blow up to be what it is. Internet has been a really great vehicle that has helped me with publicity. By the time I can catch up on Myspace I will have over 750,000 friends.
Being easy on the eyes, do you find that using sex appeal works in your favor?
No, however it depends on the individual looking at it. There is nothing wrong with having sex appeal; it's how you carry it.
You said that it doesn’t help. Could it?
I don't flaunt my sex appeal nor do I use it to gain things. Some people think I don't show it off enough and others like the little I choose to show. I believe that I do what is comfortable for me. The sex appeal I choose to have is being an independent yet family oriented woman. I believe people are drawn to me because of that.
Has your looks ever effected how guys would approach you?
I never give off the vibe that I am looking for someone, so most men are scared to talk to me. It may be my height or figure who knows. I am a no makeup, jeans and hoodie kind-of-girl so I am not too intimidating. But I definitely know that although I am at the grocery store in a pair of sweats men are scared to approach me. I don't get it, I consider myself pretty friendly as long as I am approached in a respectful manner. So hello what are you waiting for [laughs]?
Do you think you have gained any jobs off of looks alone?
You definitely don't get by with looks. If it was that easy I think everyone would be famous there are so beautiful woman out there. I think many people get very confused with me personally. They look at me then look at my talent and people scratch their heads in disbelief. They can't believe a package with talent can exist but it does. I was never the pretty girl growing up so I have never looked as using looks to get gigs. I have refused many great contracts due to a "based on looks” alone gig. I am no ones Barbie I am more than that. I have something to offer the world and I am glad people see that in me. However beauty is a blessing!
You have over 600 thousand friends on Myspace. Why do you think you have such a strong following on the Internet?
The reason it began is due to my commercials on television. One in particular was a Pepsi commercial. I began a Yahoo group that was very popular and shot to be the number 1 on the web. Naturally the web is based on surface beauty and that is not a bad thing unless you are abusing of it with dirty photos and unladylike behavior. However you do not stand the test of time which I have, without having talent. At this point the popularity is growing due to the growth in my career. I self promote my television appearances, my music, magazines, radio and of course the interacting I do with my fans. So the Internet is a great thing nothing to be ashamed of considering before I hit the net I had an extensive resume.
How have you used your looks to get what you wanted?
I once used my looks to get a free bag of oranges for a homeless person does that count? I'm serious.
Do you feel women artists have lost their sexiness in hip-hop?
No! Depending on the eye of the beholder, sexy never left. There are many women in hip hop who are beautiful. Not only on the surface of beauty but their powerful lyrics hold a sexy in them. It's different these days though. Many artists I would have never thought to see in FHM or Maxim are promoting their albums in these magazines. I think that Missy, Mc Lyte, Eve, Foxy Brown, Lil Kim, and Trina are very sexy. Their lyrics matched with their sex appeal equals a powerhouse!
How do you feel about video vixens using their looks and bodies to sell sex in music videos?
Videos all look the same to me these days. However, I absolutely love to watch choreographed or character style videos like a Missy video or Chamillionaire's Hip-Hop Police. I mean those are really fun to watch because they have a certain type of value you do not get from others. I think that every woman in these new videos have a choice. They probably want to do it so I don't judge them. Some of the vixens these days will do anything to be in the videos to get with the rappers or singers. So they go all out and the video ends up looking like a short adult film. I think women's bodies should be celebrated but not in that fashion. Sex sells and I doubt it will change anytime soon! It all breaks down to the likings of the new age pop culture along with the lyrical content in hip hop these days. The videos have to match the song I suppose. I watch them, but the vixens in my videos will be celebrated as POWER and not sex.
You lived in some tough neighborhoods growing up. What neighborhoods did you grow up in and how did that make you strive to become successful?
I grew up in South Central Los Angeles and the Pico Union districts. To be honest I don't think it was a big deal because I that is where I lived I did not know any different. However I lived in the middle of a gang war, drugs, and murder. Nothing was beautiful on how I grew up it was ugly. I was taught to work hard no matter what I was a victim of drive by shootings and hate crimes. I remember almost bleeding severely on a pavement thinking I was going to die. But for some reason I survived, a few times. It was for a reason, to teach, to spread positivity, to show the world you can survive no matter what environment you are brought into. We were very poor my family is immigrants that came to this country to give us a better life. My siblings, parents, aunt all lived in a garage over dirt; it was all we could afford. The day I knew I had to get out was when I would help my mother clean mansions in Beverly Hills on the bus. I remember one of her employers yelled at us and said we were good for nothing immigrants. I was so angered I promised my mother I would be somebody and I would get us out of these situations. Not having enough food, heat, living in a garage, looking at my mother cry because she was treated unfairly launched me in a mission to success.
You are the number 1 Latina on Myspace. How did you get that title?
Somehow I ended up in the top 100 profiles and being the Latina on here. My Myspace profile launched up to the number one spots as a Latina. It's pretty cool considering there are other Latinas on here but I got the spot.
So let me get this straight, you act, model, DJ, rap, sing, and dance? What don’t you do?
I don't do dishes or wash floors! Seriously I used to get into a lot of fights with the boys when I was little. And the boys parents would come tattle tale on me to my parents. So my punishment was always dish duty and floors I HATE IT!
What’s the show all about?
Alright, let’s talk a little bit about your music. What is the deal with it and how have you progressed over time?
My music is unlike others that are out there. I am influences by Missy, JLO and Gwen. I am very involved in the making of the records, from the beat, to the writing. It is a combination of rap, singing, a little bit of punk. I used to be a b-girl so my music has that feel to it which is why I love Missy. I put my entire life experience into my lyrics and I try to make it as fun as possible. When I first started I had no idea how to do anything. I was used to doing this on the streets not in a real music studio. So I went through a lot of different ideas until I finally found my sound. I wouldn't say I ever sucked I would say I was completely inexperienced. Everyone starts from the bottom to the top. You learn on the way up. If you don't learn or develop then maybe this business is not for you.
Renaissance woman also acts. What movies and television shows have you appeared in?
I started from the bottom with no speaking parts to smaller parts to being offered films with larger scenes in them. I generally play the tough girl who is either just really bitchy or she is a kick ass type of girl. I have also played the sexy girl in comedy roles. I recently finished working on a David Ren film, Shanghai Kiss (2007) the movie is called The Girl from the Naked Eye I played the lead actors girlfriend. It is an action type of film and if all goes as planned one of my songs will go into the film. I played a music video girl 50 cents girl in season 3 of HBO's Entourage. I had a sizeable amount of lines in the TV show so it was awesome. I was in a film GB 2525 with all the boys from training day the gangsters. I play the lead gangster girl and I kick a lot of guys’ butts in the film. [Laughs] I was also in Miss Castaway a comedy with Eric Roberts and Michael Jackson. Yes, I said Michael! I play the lead actors love interest but in the film I play a very stern character she's a little bit of a mean girl. There are many more but these are my favorites.

Queen Diamond issue 66

Cover Story Photos By: IMPORT EYE CANDY ST
We had to go right down tha block to find one of Philly's best kept secret. And if I have a special someone at the time, he always comes first.
If I gave you the floor to do shout outs, promotions, or whatever. She's got curves to make any man sweat. But we're lucky to have her here at VBLAZIN.
Where did you grow up, and what was it like for you?
I grew up in South Baton Rouge, that's in Louisiana. I wasn't born with a silver spoon I sure can tell u that...Well my neighborhood is a hood so the usual, I had to get it on my own starting at the age of 16, It was a struggle but it made me stronger.
What was it like growing up for you?
Growing up at first was the usual. Things didn't get complicated for me until I was a teen. My mother and I weren't actually seeing eye to eye, I was kind of lost and didn't really have anyone to look up to when I needed it...It's kind of a sensitive subject
How'd you get in to modeling?
Well a friend introduced me to C. E. Wiley, I met him for a photo shoot the next day and he helped kick it off for me...since then I'm featured on BET-com's B-Girls and starting to kick my career off...Thanks Wiley!!!
How long have you been modeling?
I've been modeling for about a year now
What's some of the rawest things you've seen in the biz so far?
Oh my...I can't think of anything
The body is BANGIN!!... So what you eatin to get it like that?
I love 2 eat, so I pretty much eat anything, unless it's slimy or doesn't smell eatable...lol
What's your favorite gadget?
My favorite gadget would have to be my cell phone or my digital camera...sorry I don't have any other toys
I heard you have to calendar in the works for 2008. Can you tell us a little about that?
I'm currently working on my first calendar and my first website...I'm real excited about that...KEEP A LOOK OUT FOR TGAT!!! Now, ya know I gotta ask. Do you have a man?
Nah I'm not doing the boyfriend thing right now...I stopped looking..."GOD doesn't make any mistakes", so I guess that means he'll come to me Are you the romantic laid back type or are you a wild child?
I could be both. I am a very versatile person, and I think there is a time to be laid back and romantic and there is a time to be wild...it's all just fun!!! What's the wildest thing you've ever done?
The wildest thing I've done was kissed a girl...it was just a peck...I never really intended to do it, but it happened If PlayBoy ever came knocking, would you do it?
I never really thought about Play Boy...I guess it would have to happen before I could really answer the question...I think I would...
You don't have to name names. But do you have any juicy stories from your travels?
No. I haven't really did that much traveling yet...I went to New York City, had fun, but I didn't pack any dirty secrets in my bag.
So what's in you CD player/I Pod now?
Mostly rap and R&B, some blues...Right now the artist I admire the most would have to be, Justin Timberlake, Lil Wayne, Boosie, Webbie, Keysha Cole, Jay Z, Ciara and T.I.
What did you listen to growing up?
Growing up I think I was introduced to alot of blues and R & B music.
Did you ever want a singing career?
No, now I never thought about the singing thins, that's really not for everyone and I'm honest enough to say it's really not for me.
Are you a good dancer?
Dancing, I love dancing. I'm a good dancer, I still do that in the mirror.
Would you ever spice things up by dancing for your man?
Been there done that...I think you should do those type of things to spice up your relationship With your looks I know you get a lot of attention. But there are always the ones that don't know how to act when it comes to the ladies. How do you handle guys that come off disrespectful?
I don't...I'd rather not deal with that type, my mind is not built to tolerate the ignorance, so I'd rather leave the disrespectful ones where they are, ALONE
So, you look like you have a good career ahead of you. Do you have any advice for a new comer that may read this article?
FOCUS...It may be hard some times, people may try to distract you, leave them where they are, they don't want to see you make it...basically just make sure you know what you want and don't let anyone or anything get you off track of what you want. I know how the hating thing goes, use that for your motivation. Those kind of things will only male you stronger and work harder
What part of the industry would you say you're most recognized?
Modeling Industry...I'm a B-Girl for BET.com, I'm in the 504 Dymes calendar, I've modeled sneakers and currently working on my website and calendar
So...what kinds of things do you like to do in your spare time?
I shop and hang out with my friends when I don't have anything to work on. I love making jokes, laughing and clowning around with my family, I like to eat out and watch movies
Alright, we know that you probably get some pretty lame advances from guys...so what's the worst pick up line you've heard recently?
This one guy handed me his car keys, just cause he drove an expensive car and told me it was his engagement gift from him to me...silly...he was with a chick
What sort of advice might you give to guys who hope to one day have the chance to impress you?
Do that, impress me, be yourself. I can't stand when a guy feels he has to lie to impress me, it won't last
Turn ons: Clean; that means clothes, shoes, nails, and hair. If he works hard then I can understand a little dirt, but don't step out like that. I like my men to be a little hood, you know, not just ratchett, but hood, and he must respect his mother and sisters if he has any
Turn offs: Disrespectful, redicously lazy, and doesn't want to do anything for his self or family, or if he has no morals or confidence, he shouldn't even turn his head in my direction
Is there anything people don't get about you that you wish they would?
Yeah basically...I'M ME!!!
You seem like a happy go lucky person. But is there anything that really pisses you off?
Alot of people like to worry about the things I decide to do and why I decide to do those things. Yes everyone is entitled to there own opinion, I want some people to understand that's all it is, an opinion
This is the part of the interview where I give you the floor. To do shout outs, promotions, or whatever. So, is there anything wants to get off her chest besides my eyes?
lol...First I wanted to thank GOD, he doesn't make any mistakes, C.E. Wiley for believing in me, my mother, grandmother and great grandmother for feeding a country girl country food, my little brother Jarred, he encourages me so much in life, LOVE YOU, and all of my friends and family for believing in me and motivating me to keep trying, last but not least V-BLAZIN MAG for loving me and featuring me in their magazine, not only in, but the cover, I'm very thankful for this opportunity...LOVE

Adree: Hot like fire!!!

Cover Story Photos By: Charles Williams Photography

Where did you grow up, and what was it like for you?I was born and raised in New Jersey. I love it here because i'm 15 minutes outside of NYC and can come home to peace and quiet. Growing up her was great, lots of fun things to do like Great Adventure, the shore, lots of festivals and great food!
What was it like growing up for you? I grew up in my brothers shadow so I was a bit of a tom boy. I refused to play softball and was the only girl on the towns baseball team. I did cheerleading in high school and college and also theater. I had a great diverse childhood full of wonderful memories.
How'd you get in to modeling? I took a few photos with a local photographer over 3 years ago and put them on the internet. I was entered into some modeling contests and surprised myself by winning! I was soon scouted online by a casting director from STUFF Magazine and flown out to LA for my own feature, from there its just kept getting busier and busier.
How long have you been modeling? Since early 2004
What's some of the rawest things you've seen in the biz so far? I hate how competitive it is. Some girls take it to a level they really shouldn't. I do this for fun and because I love it, but when I see how some other models act to get ahead I get very disheartened.
The body is BANGIN!!... So what you eatin to get it like that? Well to be honest I haven't been in a gym for a good 10 months, I just don't have the time. So I luckily love fruits and veggies, drink lots of green tea and allow myself to cheat once in awhile. I also love sushi.
I see beauty is not all you have going for you. You went to Rutgers University. Do you plan on going into other things like acting, music videos, etc or have you already done that? And if so, can we see you anywhere else like the if you have a web site or something like that up? My website is www.adreedesanti.com where you can view all my photos, videos and resume. I graduated Rutgers in 2003 with a degree in Journalism and Media Studies with minors in Psychology and Philosophy. I have done some video and movie work, but independent films and interview type video work. As for getting into those genres, I'm not opposed to it but I really don't have a ton of time to take on films since they require days and days of shooting.
I heard you have to book in the works for 2008. Can you tell us a little about that?I have an online poetry website called www.littlemissoptimistic.com and its a site dedicated to my passion for writing. I do motivational, free verse, poetry and have a couple hundred members on it now. I want to put out a book of my poetry by 2008.
Now, ya know I gotta ask, for me as well as all the other guys drooling right now. Do you have a man? No I am single.
Are you the romantic laid back type or are you a wild child? I'm a bit of both. I know how to be serious when its called for and let loose and have fun.
GRRRRRRRR OH BABAY!........ Um I meant......What's the wildest thing you've ever done?Bungee jumped on MTV in a bikini in Mexico.
Well If PlayBoy ever came knocking, would you do it? They have and I've declined. I don't do any nude modeling.
You don't have to name names. But do you have any juicy stories from your travels? I see a lot of crazy things, put 15 models in Vegas for a photo shoot and just imagine.
A little birdie told us that Music is your passion. So whats in you CD player/I Pod now? I work in the music industry full time so I get cds all the time to check out new music or cds before they hit stores. Right now I am loving Kanye West, Alicia Keys, Dashboard Confessional, Linkin Park, Kate Nash and Chris Brown.
What did you listen to growing up?A whole lot of Madonna, Prince, NKOTB, and tons of R&B like Jodeci, Boys 2 Men, Bel Biv Devo and New Edition.
Did you ever want a singing career? My dad is a singer so I grew up in a very musically talented environment. I've done musical theater and singing groups my whole life. I had almost gone that route but decided to focus on college and didn't have time for it. I do songwriting now but don't intend to pursue singing anymore.
So you know Spring Break has come and gone. But we love those great stories that go with SB. Do you have any wild Spring break stories to tell? Not really, I did however live in Cancun MX for a few months as a spokes model for spring break, hosting the club events and doing some fashion shows. I got to watch everyone else do the crazy stuff, its not my style to get wild in public like they do.
With your looks I know you get a lot of attention But there are always the ones that don't know how to act when it comes tothe ladies. How do you handle guys that come off disrespectful?I don't allow any man to disrespect me, if they cross the line with an inappropriate comment or gesture I speak up and make it known. But I don't make a scene, I walk away. Guys sometimes think they can get away with talking to women that way, wake up call.... you can't.
So, you look like you have a good career ahead of you. Do you have any advice for a new comer that may read this article?Be smart and keep your head out of the clouds. Modeling is a very cut throat and shady business at times so be aware. Don't lower your standards for anyone or anything, and remember that pictures don't disappear so think long and hard how you want to portray yourself. You can still be sexy with all your clothes on, trust me!
So...what kinds of things do you like to do in your spare time? I don't have spare time lol. I work full time, model and run and operate my 2 websites so im never not working. But I do love to go to dinners with my girlfriends, go shopping and sleep!
Alright, we know that you probably get some pretty lame advances from guys...so what's the worst pick up line you've heard recently?Every pick up line is cheesy!! I don't even know to say which is worse than another, they are all very lame.
What sort of advice might you give to guys who hope to one day have the chance to impress you?Be yourself! Don't try to impress girls, they see right through it, at least I do. A lot of guys think money or fancy things impresses girls, for me it definitely doesn't. I make my own money and by my own fancy things so you don't get points for that. Be confident but not arrogant.
Turn ons: ambition, drive, sense of humor, easy going, loyal, low maintenanceTurn offs: cockiness, drugs, liars, laziness, cursingSmoking, ego maniacs.
Is there anything people don't get about you that you wish they would?Im shy which most people perceive as uptight or snotty, I need to warm up to people and situation to feel comfortable. Once I do a lot of people tell me "wow you act nothing like you look" because i'm really down to earth and easy going....definitely no ego here.
You seem like a happy go lucky person. But is there anything that really pisses you off?Two faced people, competitive and catty girls, people who are rude, and lazy people.
This is the part of the interview where I give you the floor. To do shout outs, promotions, or whatever. So, is there anything you wants to get off your chest?
Thanks to all my friends for the continued love and support! I appreciate it so much. The sweet, hot, and sexy Hanina Love. And the shoot was in the FUZION Bar and Grill on 460 second street in Philly. The site of the first ever VBLAZIN Model Search event Along with Marnee of Lash Cosmetics coming September 8th 2007. Peep the sexy statz below and enjoy the view fellaz
Stats:Name: Hanina LoveAge: 22Stats: 34C, 27, 36Location: Philadelphia and Northern DelawareHeight: 5’6Ethnicity: Black and IndianOccupation: Massage Therapist and ModelSo we did a shoot for the mag in the club, and I loved working with you. You know your craft well! How was that shoot for you? It was extremely fun. I really had a great time. Between the jokes and the trouble I had walking wrapped in caution tape it was one of the best times I’ve had in a while.
How did you get your start in modeling?I did a little runway when I was 16, but then I sort of broke the mold and got into other genres of modeling. I was discovered on a site much like myspace, and from there, I had my first photo shoot! Afterwards I began to do car shows and then the rest is history. Now I am heavily into the import scene, and I am a glamour model as well.
Are you ever nervous on shoots? I'm never nervous on shoots, but I am very serious about my work. I always ask to see the photos on the camera to make sure I look comfortable in the shots. I want to make sure things are perfect during the shoot, instead of regretting it afterwards.
High school: You know it’s funny; I was the skinny one that no one paid attention to back in the day. I was on the cross country team and was in the drama club. People thought I was weird, ugly, skinny, funny looking or any other negative thing you could possibly think of. Now it’s a bit different. I have people that used to make fun of me writing me on a regular basis trying to apologize and kiss my ass! Isn’t if funny how things turn out in the long run? That within itself just makes me smile. It’s like revenge of the nerds!
Do you consider yourself more of a "giver" or a "taker"? I'm a giver, but when the time is right I will snatch the underwear right off of your booty with out you noticing!! I'm not saying I'm a thief or anything but the bottom line is that I can be both.
I know you do import car shows. Can you tell us a little about that? I can describe shows like this. Surrounding you are hot women, hot cars, and hot music. It is the ultimate experience. If you go, you are in for a kick-ass ride. There is a saying that describes it best, “It’s not a hobby, it’s a lifestyle.” Once you get a taste of a rockin’ show, you will be hooked.
What's the wildest thing you've ever seen at a show? In particular, at a bikini contest I saw a girl do a back flip and dance her butt off afterwards. It was bananas. That would be the wildest, but I have seen some hilarious stuff too! Like the “poop face” that some girls do when dancing at a competition. (Poop face\ \ˈpüp-ˈfâs\ adjective\ 1: The action of a person distorting their faces to look like they smell. something bad. Most likely poop.)
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? I would like to go to Brazil. Everyone is hot down there! Not to mention they have some killer nude beaches that I would like to “discover”.
Nudie news: I’m a total nudist! I feel totally comfortable being naked. Eh, I guess I have no shame. Luckily, I live on my own so people won’t be offended.
If you could have any car you wanted, what would it be?A Lamborghini Diablo. Those cars are hot to death!
What are your dreams and goals?I want to be the Hallie Berry of any main stream auto import show (Nopi, Hin, etc.). Normally people don't see to many other ethnicities within the import scene. I'm one of a few. I have yet to win a bikini contest, but I have come close.
Modeling Challenges: Vic, I’m going to be completely honest with you and everyone reading V-blazin Magazine. As an import model, my biggest challenge is basically trying to get noticed in a show as a professional. Being a woman of color within the import world is not easy- although I am a commodity. It is common that I am stereotyped as a ghetto girl just trying to show her ass off at shows. For example, If I happen to wear something that another model is wearing, (i.e. booty shorts) people are quicker to call me a whore than the other model just because of the color of my skin. It sucks, but it’s the way of the world. There have been plenty of times where I went through instances of blatant prejudice. Even though that may have been the case, I have never allowed myself to become discouraged and I have kept on doing what I loved to do. The hard work will pay off in the end. Hell, it’s already starting to!
What's your biggest turn on?Accents. A hot British accent, French, Spanish. Mmmmm....
How do you handle rude dudes that come at you? You know, I haven’t had that many people say anything off of the wall. Over the internet there are a few but not as many as one may think. I have had a few racist guys say or do things that are uncalled for, but I usually ignore them and keep it moving. I can't afford to concentrate on things like that when there are a million other things I could be doing constructively. Leading by example is important to me-and considering the fact that I am the captain of the SPX Kandy Girlz, it wouldn’t look all that great if I cursed at the rude dudes and kicked them in the shins. I just let the guys on my team handle it.
What's the craziest thing you've ever done?I duck taped one of my buddies to the couch while he was sleeping as a practical joke. It was so funny!
What do you like best about being a model? The result of having a kick-ass fan base, Wonderful people that support you, and the glamour of a photo shoot!
What's in your CD player right now?Esthero's "Breath From Another" She's the shiz-nyt.
Do you have any hidden talents? Don't be shy.I can tie a cherry stem into a knot in 20 seconds...I am a belly dancer, and I have some other fun talents that I will not mention.
Oh really? You can belly dance. Will you show me how you do that at the VBLAZIN Model search on the 8th? Vic, I will have even you belly dancing before the night is out. You would actually make a great male belly dancer!
LOL.... Umm... lets not go there. Also a birdie told me that you can cook. What's your best dish? What birdie?! If it’s a chicken I'm cooking it! I can make a curry chicken and naan dish that will have you on your knees. Unless you don’t like spicy food. If you like sweets, I make the craziest chocolate brownies, Reeses cupcakes, and orange juice-apple French toast that you have ever tasted.
Describe your most embarrassing moment.Ha! You think I'm gonna tell you that! Funny. No comment.
Website: I’m working on that as we speak! My process has been a little on the slow side though. The best way to reach me is on myspace. www.myspace.com/cherokeechica2 f you guys would like to see my custom auto lifestyle team, Street Pilot X, you can go to: www.spxautoclub.com.
Shout outs: I want to thank my Marnee for discovering me and introducing me to V-blazin Magazine, Dj and Angela (Owner and Founders of Street Pilot X Custom Auto Lifestyle team) for promoting and supporting me like crazy, Anneliese Lynd for giving me the courage to think big, Jimmy for loving and supporting me, and all of my fantastic and loyal fans! Thank you!
After meeting you I found that there's much more to you than just a pretty face and body. Any guy would love to take you home to meet mom. Is there anything that people don't get about you that you wish they would? I have the goofiest sense of humor and the funniest personality. I’m downright weird sometimes. You can’t change who I am. If you can’t love me as I am, then you can’t love me at all. Simple as that.
Special thanks to Fuzion Bar and Grille for the location shoot.

VBlazin : We got Charlottes finest up in the spot this week. Yall saw her chocolate candy in an earlier issue of VBLAZIN MAGAZINE. Now we got Ms fine ass Shawna Michelle here in the flesh fo yall. Welcome to the VBLAZIN couch ma. We been trying to get at you for a minute!
ShawnaMichelle: I know! I have been interested in appearing in your magazine since I started modeling in October 06. I just did not feel I was ready, so I sat back and got my act together, and now here I am!
VBlazin : So did you grow up in Charlotte?
ShawnaMichelle: In a way yes. I stayed in my hometown Beaufort, SC until I was 18 then moved to Charlotte, NC to attend college. So I matured in Charlotte, this is my home now.
VBlazin : What was growing up there like?
ShawnaMichelle: Growing up in Beaufort, SC was a great experience. There is nothing much there but a bunch a beaches and fields. Everyone knows everyone, but there is a lot of love there and great food also. We have the best food on the entire east coast. Fresh seafood that you can get right out of the ocean, no one knows how to eat well like us. What ya’ll know about Frogmore Stew??
VBlazin : That's why they call it the dirty south. So, looking at your body yo mama must have fed you good growing up. At what age did you start boomin like that?
ShawnaMichelle: Yeah I ate very well, my mother made me learn how to cook, we don’t play that where I am from. I started getting my body at the age of 14. Most of the girls are shaped like me in Beaufort. We eat a lot of beans and rice!
VBlazin: Was the boys pushin up hard on you?
ShawnaMichelle: Yeah, but I was all about my education and I got a job at the age of 14. I was a go getta!
VBLAZIN: I see you work as a billing/collection rep. Have you ever had to curse anyboy out on the phone. Or been yelled at by a customer?
ShawnaMichelle: No I never cursed anyone out, I could loose my job. But I do have people curse at me, but I just ignore them. It is there credit that is going to be messed up, not mines.
VBLAZIN: I know your little girl is your pride and joy. Has she seen mommies modeling work?
ShawnaMichelle: Yeah. She is so smart. She is only one. When she is sitting on my lap while I am on the computer she will say “mommy” when she sees my photos on the computer.
VBLAZIN: Would you want her to go in to modeling when she gets older?
ShawnaMichelle: Once she turns 18 I cannot control what she does. I would not mind if she did tasteful modeling like myself, but if she goes beyond that I will be upset with her, but of course good parents love their children no matter what they do or who they are.
VBLAZIN: What advice would you give someone just starting out in the biz?
ShawnaMichelle: I would tell them to be open to criticism. Don’t go into it thinking you are Ms. Diva of the World and everyone should kiss your feet. There are a million of other pretty girls that will gladly take your place. So remain humble and appreciate people that help you along the way. You don’t know when you may need them again or who they may know that can help you.
VBlazin : Well I would've been right there like wha...So how'd you get into this modeling thing?
ShawnaMichelle: I always wanted to model since I was in middle school. I met a guy in 2006 that got me my first professional photo shoot and it was on since then. I never looked back and I learned really fast.
VBlazin : Where has modeling taken you so far?
ShawnaMichelle: So far I have appeared in a calendar, three magazines, and hosted two shows. I also gained a lot of new friends in the industry that take good care of me.
VBlazin : Do you ever get time to party it up like a rock star?
ShawnaMichelle: I don’t really party that much. I did a lot of that before I became a model. I want to party and get paid, so hosting parties would be something that I would love to do like a rock star.
VBlazin : Now that your rocketing to the top of your game. Do you get a different type of dude comin at you?
ShawnaMichelle: I have all types of guys coming at me. I a few celebrities come at me now than before.
VBlazin : What's that like?
ShawnaMichelle: its flattering and nice, but eventually it gets old because you feel they only want you for your image and not for who you really are.
VBlazin : Do you have a man?
ShawnaMichelle: No I am single.
VBlazin : So what type of men do you like? Or ladies, cause now a days you never know.
ShawnaMichelle: no ladies for me. I like a man that is confident, sincere, thoughtful, and not a liar. He must be a great love maker also. That is a must!!!
VBlazin : I gotta warn you. I don't put out on the first date unless you ask. That’s just in case I have a chance. LOL Do you have any projects coming up in the future that you want to tell us about? Such as modeling, websites, videos or anything else in the works.
ShawnaMichelle: I am currently working on getting my website. They tell me you’re no one until you have a website.
VBlazin : Have you seen any wild stuff since you been in the biz?
ShawnaMichelle: No, I have heard about some wild things. People will do anything just to make it.
VBlazin : So what's the wildest thing you've ever done?
ShawnaMichelle: I am not much of a risk taker, but the wildest thing I ever did was have sex outside, not in the car, in a neighborhood in the driveway of a house for sale.
VBlazin : Do you plan to venture into film or anything else?
ShawnaMichelle: I do plan to do movies, see where acting can take me. I would love to work with Kimora Lee Simmons’ Baby Phat clothing company as a Fashion Coordinator.
VBlazin : What type of films are you interested in?
ShawnaMichelle: Any type of films. I am open to anything, except anything too extreme.
Vblazin: What’s in your CD or IPod right now?
ShawnaMichelle: I love mixtapes, so I am listening to just about every down south artist out right now.
VBLAZIN: Are you a good dancer?
ShawnaMichelle: I am a good dancer. I am no Ciara, but I can get down.
VBLAZIN: I may have to take you to the dancer floor to test you out, and see if you can “Git it shawdy”. LOL
ShawnaMichelle: Yeah I can get it all right!
VBlazin : Would you ever do Playboy?
ShawnaMichelle: Only if it was implied nude. I just cant bare it all like that no matter how much money they offer.
VBlazin : What do you think of the "UnCut", videos?
ShawnaMichelle: I don’t think there is anything wrong with the un-cut videos. You can go to the strip clubs and see that also, or even in a regular club for the most part. I just have a problem with them being easily accessible by younger children.
VBLazin: Well we've come to the part of the interview where I give you the floor for shout outs, promoting or what ever you want. So is there anything you want to say to the people?
ShawnaMichelle: Thanks to VBLAZIN for giving me this opportunity to display who I am. Shouts to my family, friends and fans! I love you! Thanks to my friend that got me started in modeling. To all the photographers and designers I worked with, I really appreciate you with assisting me on my journey. Make sure you check me out on myspace at www.myspace.com/scncbutterfly Thanks!
VBlazin : Okay yall mutha truckaz. Get outta here. And keep checkin for my gurl Shawna to be doin BIG thangs. And VBLAZIN will be there supporting you to the fullest baby!!

Press Release for upcoming VBLAZIN event.

VBLAZIN MAGAZINE, THE HOTTEST MAGAZINE ON THE NET is teaming up with MARNEE...the COSMETIC MAGICIAN, to produce for YOU, the hottest, party of 2007!

VBLAZIN Magazine has been in production now for just a little over a year, and it is growing in astonishing proportions! In this short time, its subscribers now tip the scale at over 1.7 million! Although the magazine is geared towards men, featuring the most beautiful and exotic women from all over the country, and the world. Its female audience has grown tremendously as well do to the Ask Aquarius colum among other advise features! "Every woman in the modeling and fashion industry wants to be on the cover of this magazine!" says Janelle, one of the beautiful cover girls, "Its not only about the magazine, but its content, who owns it, and how they treat women and people in general." Their creed is “ There’s beauty in every woman if you just take the time to look for it.” That’s why you’ll find a wide array of cover models featured. From big to small, black, white Asian, you name it. VBLAZIN will show the world your beauty because we know how to find it.

"Founder and CEO of VBlazin is an astonishingly handsome and bright business man, but one that hasn't forgotten where he came from, or how to be modest or kind" says Marnee Simon, aka the Cosmetic Magician, "from the second we spoke, I knew I had to be involved somehow with Vic and the magazine. We share the same philosophies on American diversity, and the human spirit, giving all women the opportunity to be noticed and feel beautiful. He reminds me so much of Charlie, (of Charlie’s Angels), in that he is very humble and behind the scenes, yet he really cares about all of the people he deals with and he has such a keen sense in business, nonetheless. YES, he takes care of his "angels"."

As does Marnee, who has been professionally transforming women for over 15 years. As seen on NBC10,as an EXPERT in the industry, Marnee is the opitime of her title, the "Cosmetic Magician". "I have watched Marnee work many times on our models before a photo shoot, and its amazing to me what I see happen. Of course the woman now looks like a supermodel, but you can actually see the model changing from within too! Her posture is taller, her smile radiates from within. Its a self-esteem boost" says Vic, "and as fast as she turns on the creativity, thats how fast her mind races with a new marketing event or idea".

So, together, a perfect team...brains and beauty, beauty and brains.

Which leads us to THE BIG EVENT!
READY TO GET NOTICED? Its September 8th,2007 at Fusion Nite Club and Grill..located at 460 N. 2nd Street (between Callowhill and Spring Garden)...9 pm-2am...The dress code is semi-formal, so dress to impress, because BIG movers and shakers will be there! IT IS a Model Search, but we might have a few suprise guests for you to see... although Vic and Marnee are very hush hush about that until it gets closer, because the club ONLY houses 700 people. They would tell us, however, that, OF COURSE the VBLAZIN models will be there to sign autographs and greet you....many of which have moved futher into modeling or music! And Celebs are coming as well. This list is getting bigger. Models: bring your portfolios! One lucky model will win (through a drawing) a portfolio, with one of the most talented top photographers in the tri-state area, and her make-up will be done by Marnee herself! (a total value of approximately $4,000! "Our readers have been asking me for an event like this for many months now" Vic smiles, "and you know, what my readers want, is what they will get!" Marnee swears Vic will be there, as she uses the same philosophy with Vic as she does with her models or in life, "Do you want to be looked over, or overlooked?" she says with a giggle. I promise you won’t have to wait until syndication to meet either of us!"

ISSUE 54

We have the pleasure of interviewing the one and only Mandy Lynn. Model, web designer, and as you will learn she’s so much more. Mandy is 26 years old and lives in Long Island, New York. She's German / Italian, brown eyes, blonde hair, about 5 feet 2 inches tall. Happy to be chattin with ya!
So we see you’ve done a lot of things in your short 26 years. Playboy, Calendars, and much more. So lets start way back. We know you’re a New Yorker to the bone. What was growing up like for you there?
Mandy: Long island is a very nice place to grow up, I moved around a lot so it was hard to make friends.
Well I’m sure you have a lot of friends now. LOL Were you as sexy as you are now in high school?
Mandy: No, I wasn't an ugly duckling but I wasn't a swan either, I was a late bloomer, but as soon as I turned 18 I started to attract boys and realize that I was actually hot! haha
What types of jobs did you have in your teen years?
Mandy: I worked at Hooters, had a lot of jobs in the mall, shoes, ice cream , jewelry, clothes, cookies, u name it! lol
What’s the best job you had in your teen years?
Mandy: My fave? My 1st job was at a flower store down the block from my house, I loved working there cuz it was so close to my house and i liked the people that worked there, we had a lot of fun.
Were you a good girl, or did you get in to trouble?
Mandy: I was a good girl until about 10th grade, after that it was all downhill learning wise but hello popularity, boys (which is more important anyway right? lol)
How did you get your start in modeling?
Mandy: My Friend dragged me to an open casting for Playboy and the rest is history!
So were you nervous on your first shoot?
Mandy: Not really, modeling comes so natural to me so I just did my thing and the photog was happy I was comfortable cuz it made his day easier! haha
What are you doing when your not being Mandy Lynn the model?
Mandy: I pretty much always am haha But I am also very domesticated, I love planting in my garden, decorating my house, hanging out with my dogs, I am getting into scrapbooking.
Now I heard you love music. Can you name 10 songs that you listen to the most on your Ipod?
Mandy:
Like this
This is why I'm hot
Party like a rock star
Wall to wall
So krispy
Umbrella
Big shit poppin
Buy u a drank
Make me better
The way I are
What did you listen to growing up?
Mandy: hip hop, always my fave
We all have em. Is there some songs on your IPod that you don’t want your friends to know you listen to? You know like “ I’m a Barbie Girl”, and songs like that LOL
Mandy: no, yuck lol actually a song i like that doesn't fit in hip hop is "pour some sugar on me" love that song
In your pictures you look a lot taller. But being 5'2 what modeling challenges have you faced and overcome?
Mandy: I haven't faced any challenges at all, in glamour modeling u can be any height, they don't discriminate haha But people always think I am tall in my pictures, because I am thin I appear tall in pics.
Well I wouldn’t throw you outta bed for being short. So, what’s the best advice given to you?
Mandy: Never give up, when 1 door closes 2 more open.
We know you have a GREAT career ahead of you. But is there any advice you can give someone just starting in the biz?
Mandy: Don't be naive, don't rush and make stupid decisions, u have plenty of time, don't listen to the idiots to tell u u don't. watch out for the shady people in the industry just out to screw u over, just
cuz they own a camera does not make them a photog so do your homework!
Besides modeling what other ambitions do you have?
Mandy: I also do web design, photo editing and video editing and I would like to own my own business someday.
We see you have been in a bunch of Playboy special editions. How has your Playboy experience been?
Mandy: It is such an honor to be part of the Playboy family, and I feel very lucky to have made it so far, not everyone gets to start their modeling career at the top so I am thankful for that.
What was your reaction when you got informed you were going to be in Playboy?
Mandy: I was shocked since I didn't think I was going to be chosen!
You have your own website as well... ClubMandyLynn.com. How much are you involved in that site & how is it going so far?
Mandy: I am 100% involved in my site, i built and maintain the site myself, I taught myself everything I know, I was really turned off at the thought of having a webmaster in charge of it and I wanted it to have my own personal touches so it was necessary for me to learn web design and I did!I have a members area there with tons of sexy pix and videos so i hope u will all come by and check that out www.clubmandylynn.com
WOW brains and beauty. You’re turning me on here.LOL ….What's next for Mandy Lynn?
Mandy: More success! yay hehe Actually I am going to be on a VH1 reality show in october, so that is new for me, it was quite an experience thats 4 sure haha It should be a funny show so be sure to watch it, and of course just check my site clubmandylynn.com to see when it will air.
I'd be remiss if I did not mention that you list on your MySpace page that you are single AND bisexual. I take it you have a lot of fun?
Mandy: Oh yes! u can say that haha.

What’s the one thing that people don’t get about you that you wish they would?
Mandy: That I am not rich, people think models make a ton of money--I wish!
So are you working on any projects now?
Mandy: I have magazine covers, calendars, TV commercials and more all coming up so be on the lookout 4 me!
One thing people wouldn't expect about you is?
Mandy: I eat a lot, they assume I don’t since I am skinny but it is just genetics.
WOW you can’t tell from where I’m sitting. So this is the part of the interview where I give you the floor for shout outs, Promotions, or what ever. So is it anything you want to say to the people before we wrap this up, and I pass out from my excitement….
Mandy: I wanna thank VBLAZIN and all my fans for their continued support I wouldn't be here without u! make sure to check out my site www.clubmandylynn.com and add me at myspace myspace.com/sexymandylynn
Well you're welcome back anytime you'd like. So your new VBLAZIN fans can get the scoop on what you've got going on!

Issue 41

100% Sexy Rachel W.

VB: Yall been clammin for her every since she brought the fire to the Spot Light section of this Magazine. Now she's here to let yall know what's going on in her world. The fine, sexy, bold, and beautiful Mizz Rachel. So try to stop looking at her sexy ass pictures, and hell me welcome Mizz Rachel FIRE to the VBLAZIN couch. Welcome ma....Now I hear you've done acting and other things. Can you tell us about that, and what shows you've been involved with?I have done some work on a few sitcoms... CUTS and ONE ON ONEDo you have any behind the scenes dirt that you can tell us about?
LOL....No way...Is there any projects that you have coming up that you can tell us about?I actually just finished up a shoot for a new magazine called J'Adore. The issue I shot for is the "villan" issue... I believe it is scheduled to hit the stands in April/May, so definately be on the lookout!!How long have you been modeling? I actually started modeling more seriously, last year. I was not really intending to get as involved as I have. One of my good friends is a former model who now is on the other side of the camera. Her name is Lisa Brewer and she has been very instrumental in my career.VB: Is there a dark side to the modeling world, like back stabbing, and cat fighting?
Well, I definately think there is a dark side to everything, so modeling is no different. This is definately an industry where you have to always be on the "grind". Sometimes, pure determination and perserverance gets you (and keeps you) on a successful track. You have to be very true to yourself and determine your goals early on. If not, it can be very easy to take on projects or agree to work that can be detrimental to your career. As far as backstabbing and catfighting.... hmmmm. I would say there is a strong air of competition, so there will always be a sense of caddiness associated with the industry. I have witnessed it not only amoung models, but photographers as well!!!VB: Now, your pictures have a brotha droolin a little. If PlayBoy ever came knocking, would you do it?
I don't know. I definately enjoy pushing the envelope, but I do have a line. I love the sexy pictures, but at the same time, I enjoy the diversity in the glamour and fashion shots. I am not sure... You got me with that one!!! Let's see if they come knocking first... ;)VB: Where did you grow up, and what was it like for you?
I grew up in NC. I am actually living back here now to be closer to my family. I am the oldest of 6 chidren, so of course you can imagine what my household was like!! I am super close with my family and being back here has been wonderful for me. I get to see my brothers and sisters all the time. They are probably sick of me, but that's ok... I grew up on a farm and playing sports, so I am definately a "tomboy" at heart!! I have always adorned my athletic side, so as a child, I was much more likely to be seen riding a motorcycle or a horse, then wearing a dress or running around at the mall!!!
VB: I heard you like working with animals. Is this true? Cause I can be a tiger in the lovin department...grrrrrr...baby!! LOL....
A tiger huh???? Yes, I love animals. I am notorious for wanting and trying to save anything!!! Growing up on a farm allowed me to spend the majority of my time with my animals. As a child, I had everything from a pet snake and pets rats to horses, dogs and goats! We even had a pet turkey named Bill.... LOL... Now we have chickens, goats, horses and dogs. I enjoy working with animals and being around animals because they are such a pure form of life.
VB: Alright, we know that you probably get some pretty lame advances from guys...so what's the worst pick up line you've heard recently?
Oh my.... the worst line I have ever heard.... I really don't know. There have been some pretty bad ones. If I had to choose, I would say.... "Do you have any black in you? If not, do you want some? " LOLOL... that is beyond pitiful!!!!Now, ya know I gotta ask. Do you have a man?
YesVB: Are you the romantic laid back type or are you a wild child?
This is a tricky question.,.... I could fall under both of those cateragories, depending on my mood. I have a wild child side, but I also have a romantic side. I am a free spirit and what you see is what you get with me!!!VB: What's the wildest thing you've ever done? I promise to keep it between you, me, and the readers.
Haha... My lips are sealed!!VB: With your looks I know you get a lot of attention. But there's always the ones that don't know how to act when it comes to the ladies. How do you handle guys that come off disrespectful?
I definatley keep to myself more then not. Most of the time once someone gets to know me, they realize I am very down to earth. I do find, when I am out and dressed up, that men (and women) have a tendacy to prejudge me solely based on my looks. That drives me crazy, but I guess it is part of life! I have learned that not everyone is going to like you or think you are pretty, so I have grown to have thick skin! As for people who are disrespectful, i try to ignore it because I feel like it is a sign of iggnorance and insecurity..... 2 of my biggest pet peeves anyway!!!VB: What sort of advice might you give to guys who hope to one day have the chance to impress you?
The best advice I can give to anyone is..... be comfortable with who you are... Once you find the things that make you happy, as well as those that make you sad, you become more secure with who you are. The best way to impress me is to be you!!!!VB: Turn ons:
People who are open minded, secure and treat others with respect..... tattoos, a great body and smile don't hurt either!!VB: Turn offs:
Insecurity and lack of respect for others...... and definitely bad breath!!!VB: I checked out your website, and the pics there are HOT as HELL!! Can you tell all your new fans where they can find you online..
My website is just now getting up and running, so you can always check me out there.... www.rachelwhitted.com I am starting to get alot of projects thrown my way, so keep your eyes out!!! A few other sites you can find me on are... http://www.hhnlive.com/girlspotlight/more/4
http://www.itfactormodel.com/?p=model&id=301
http://www.bigtigger.com/index2.htm (BigTigger.com Feb 2006 kitten of the month)
http://www.bet.com/ForMen/cousinsrachelflipbook.htm?wbc_purpose=Basic&WBCMODE=PresentationUnpublished (BET.com.. cousins feature)VB: Can you tell us something that nobody knows about you?
Well, there is definitely alot that people don't know about me, but if I had to give you a little bit, I would say.... I hate amusement parks and fairs!!! I am not someone who enjoys crowds, so I steer clear of those type places....VB: So, you look like you have a good career ahead of you. Do you have any advice for a new comer that may read this article?
I would say that definitely identify what your goals are and stick to the script! People are going to try to convince you that doing "this or that" will be beneficial, but if you know what you want before you venture out, then you can weed out the bs a little easier! I also think it is good to show your diversity. It allows people to see you in different lights and will open up your opportunity in the industry. You never know what possibilities lie ahead!! STAY FOCUSED!!!!!VB: Well if you read this magazine. You know I give you the floor for promotions, shot outs, or what ever. So is there anything else you want the readers to know?
Just that I appreciate the love and support!!! Be on the lookout for me this year!!!!!!
VB: We will definitely be on the look out for you. And please come back anytime to let you new fans know what you got going on.
You’re the QUEEN, and the world is your kingdom. RULE IT!!!

Issue 50

U.K. LOVE Donatella

VBLAZIN This week we have the 5 foot tall half Brazilian bomb shell Donattella!! Welcome to VBLAZIN magazine ma. How you doin?
Donatella: I’m doing very well! All the better from speakin to you!
VBLAZIN: Awww, thanks ma. Now, you’re living in the U.K. now. But is that where you grew up?
:Donatella Yep but it's time for me to get outta here now!
VBLAZIN: Where you goin?
Donatella:Stateside!
VBLAZIN: Oh? Well you can move in with me any day!!
Donatella: Haha thanks I’ll bear that in mind! I hope the U.S. is ready cause I’m bringin the HEAT!
VBLAZIN: I don't know about the U.S. but I am. So what was it like growing up for you?
Donatella: It was wicked, I had a happy childhood always wanted to be a star! Always dancing around trying to get attention so I guess not much has changed.
VBLAZIN: Well how did the modeling thing come about?
Donatella: I was shopping one day and got scouted, But it was a lot harder than I thought!
VBLAZIN: Were you really nervous on your first shoot?
Donatella says: Yeah I was totally nervous but then once the nerves had gone I really got into, I think I was born to pose haha…….
VBLAZIN: So, what do you think of that show "Americas Next top Model", Do you get it there??
Donatella: Yeah of course I am soooooooo addicted; they are way harsher on the girls on the show compared to reality though! It's fun to watch as a model cause Tyra Banks is seriously FIERCE and you can pick up some great tips!
VBLAZIN: Would you ever try out for the show?
Donatella: I’m too tiny! The fashion industry needs to open it's eyes and realize that you don't need to be a six foot stick insect to sell clothes, surely real men don't like that? Hopefully one day things will change!
VBLAZIN: Well, I think most men like your look, better than the stick figures on the walk way. So, have you or would you ever do nude modeling?
Donatella: No I haven't done nude, although I think it can look really beautiful when done in the right way, it's just not something I would do at this moment in time! But never say never, playboy rules. Second to Vblazin of course!
VBLAZIN: Well you definitely got the body for it. I know you have a fitness video on how to get the perfect butt, and from what we see BA-DA-BOOM!!!It works. Can you tell us a little about that?
Donatella: Hahahaha well I made it with a guy from the states and it basically teaches you these unique lunges that get you a booty in no time! It's all about the booty.
VBLAZIN: ......And you can do the SPLITS 3 ways????... Man I gotta see that!!
Donatella: Haha yeah! I used to train as a dancer and the flexibility stayed with me.
VBLAZIN: So do you ever use that SPLIT technique in other thing?
Donatella: haha what do you think!
VBLAZIN: I think I need to go adjust myself. But I gotta finish the interview first. Do you consider yourself a "Wild Child"?
Donatella: Um yeah I guess so; I like to live life to the max! I party hard but I work harder!
VBLAZIN: So, what's the wildest thing you ever done?
Donatella: Now that would be telling! I'll leave it to the imagination of the readers! VBLAZIN: I guess we'll except that answer, but ya know I got a wild imagination.. So tell us about what you got going on now?
Donatella: I’m doing a movie at the moment with Huey from the fun luvin criminals and few other things in the pipeline that are quite exciting, So keep those fingers crossed for me!
VBLAZIN: What part are you playing in the movie?
Donatella: I’m playing a bad ass gangster chick, love it!
VBLAZIN: How close is to you in reality?
Donatella: In reality I am bit of a softie but I guess I have a bit of bad ass in me!
VBLAZIN: You ever been in a "Chick Fight'?
Donatella: Haha yeah I have sorry to say, I don't agree with girls fighting but there's a lot of haters out there.
VBLAZIN: What happened to get you that angry?
Donatella: Well there's been a few occasions like once a girl threw a glass at me! Totally unprovoked, I am a nice person and didn't deserve that ;(
VBLAZIN: What did you do?
Donatella: Hmmm well lets just say I’m nice to point, but when you cross the line like she did, well......
VBLAZIN: So, can we see you on the net, videos, and mags now, and if so where and what?
Donatella: Yeah I have a website www.divadonatella.com and of course myspace www.myspace.com/therealdonatella and watch this space cause soon I’ll be everywhere!
VBLAZIN: We gotta check that out. Cause from the pictures we see it's bananas!!
Donatella: haha
VBLAZIN: I just gotta ask. Are you a good dancer?
Donatella: I like to think so! I love to dance, especially shakin my booty lol! I know how to “Git it Shawdy!”
VBLAZIN: What type of man do you like?
Donatella: a wise man , he has to be a REAL man, big and strong and someone who can really look after me!
VBLAZIN: Do you have that Brazilian booty thing going on that we like so much?
Donatella: Haha yeah totally!
VBLAZIN: Would you ever consider doing any of those late night rap videos we have in the states? They're called "UnCut" videos in the states.
Donatella: haha I’d have to see it first!
VBLAZIN: You can check em out on You Tube. Well, this is the part of the interview where I give you the floor for shout outs, promotions, or what ever else you want to say. So is there anything you want to get off your booty besides my hands?
Donatella: Haha just wanna say thanks to Vblazin, thanks to all my real supporters at my forum and my wonderful personal designer at one off design! Oh and big shout out to myspace!
VBLAZIN: Well you're always welcome to come back and tell us what you got going on anytime.
Donatella: Thanks! I'll take you up on that!

Issue 50

Sweet-N-Sour Candy Whitney

This issue we have the always sexy Whitney J. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to visit us So what's really good baby??Hey everyone, what's up? I'm so happy to be here!Where did you grow up, and what was it like for you? I was born in Colorado and moved to Minneapolis when I was only 4 years old. It was fun because the lakes and woods were a great place to explore and grow when I was young. I played hockey, tennis and did karate and was a complete tomboy, I loved to fish, climb trees, ride dirt bikes, etc. How'd you get in to modeling? I tried a bikini contest at a local nightclub and won! It was for Hawaiian Tropics and I ended up going to Hawaii for the National Competition. I made some great contacts and started booking jobs and didn't want to quit. The rest is history...How long have you been modeling? It’s been almost 2 years now.I love your shots. Who's your photographer?I shoot with Satio and Onyx for the most part, they both work well with my creative ideas and are so amazing to work with! What's some of the rawest things you've seen in the biz sofar?I've seen people who are very dishonest, and try to screw each other over, I don't understand why people can't respect each other and be hard workers. Is the CD you’ve been working on out yet? And can you tell us a little about that? Not quite yet, I'm trying to get a good variety in my songs so everyone can enjoy. But they will always be true to my life and what I've been through. The body is BANGIN!!... So what you eatin to get it like that?Well I work out a lot, so I have to eat frequently And I love healthy foods like chicken breast, salads, salmon, fruit etc. I do have days where I must cheat and that helps me stay on track for the long run.Do you plan on going into other things like acting, music videos, etc or have you already done that? And if so, can we see you anywhere else like if you have a web site or something like that up?I am planning on going into singing and acting, plus I still do martial arts and would love to do some professional/competitive fighting. I do have a website and also a myspace page. Go to www.whitneyjene.com or www.myspace.com/whitneyjene!Now, ya know I gotta ask. Do you have a man? Yep....Are you the romantic laid back type or are you a wild child?I'm a wild child in the way that I approach life with an attitude like I have so much to experience and do before I don't have the opportunity anymore. But I'm a romantic, and laid back when it comes to social circumstances. What's the wildest thing you’ve ever done?
Hmmmm...I don't know if I can disclose that sort of information. If PlayBoy ever came knocking, would you do it?They have, and I don't know yet.You don't have to name names. But do you have any juicy stories from your travels? Oh yes, definitely. So you know Spring Break is here. Do you have any wild Spring break stories to tell?Just that I went once to Cancun for Spring Break with Hawaiian Tropics and that was such a wild time, we partied all day and night for 7 days! With your looks I know you get a lot of attention. But there are always the ones that don't know how to act when it comes to the ladies. How do you handle guys that come off disrespectful?Well, a lot of times I get the stupid disrespectful lines, or guys grabbing at me, and I simply let them know that although that may be fine with some females, its not gonna fly with me.So, you look like you have a good career ahead of you. Do you have any advice for a new comer that may read this article?Stay true to yourself and remember who you are, when you get frustrated by the industry, compromising your morals for some extra cash may seem like an okay thing. But at the end of the day, even if you are poor, all anybody ever cares about is who you are as a person. And you'll be 10x's happier as well. What part of the industry would you say you're most recognized?Well I do martial arts so I have a following there as well as my modeling. I have been in several magazines like FHM, Plush (cover), BTM (cover), Knockput Magazine and many more, and I'm working on more covers and features as we speak!So...what kinds of things do you like to do in your spare time?I like to read, work out, watch movies, sleep, write and hang out with friends. I'm pretty busy so when I have free time I like to do relaxing things.Alright, we know that you probably get some pretty lame advances from guys...so what's the worst pick up line you’ve heard recently? It wasn't really a pickup line, but I had someone walk up to me and say, "Nice breasts" it was ridiculous! And then I had someone ask if I'd ever had any "Spanish in me" ugh...guys, be classier and more creative. That kind of stuff only makes us feel sick. What sort of advice might you give to guys who hope to one day have the chance to impress you?Be a gentleman! Do not think that because you are cute, have muscles, or money, that you don't need to treat me like a princess. Cause that's how I roll...my man has to spoil me like I'm his queen. I'm not high maintenance or spoiled but I do know that I am a great catch and demand to be treated that way. So tell me something. Do you have any thing or gadget that you can't live without? Well, it sounds cliché but, my sidekick. I also need my Ipod cause I love music. Other than that just my laptop because I travel a lot and I still need to keep on top of emails and business. What was your most embarrassing moment in you life? (or do you even want to say…LOL) I have all sorts of embarrassing moments, like I will say something that sounds funny because of what I'm thinking in my head, but people will look at me like I'm insane. Lol...once I was walking onto an airplane and while waiting in the aisle to sit down, the guy sitting in the seat near where I was standing looked up and said, "did you get it figured out?" And I looked at him and said "huh?" I was so confused because I didn't think I knew him. He gave me the strangest look and I realized he was talking on his blue tooth! You seem like a happy go lucky lady. But is there anything that really pisses you off? Disrespectful, ignorant, close-minded people, I know people from all over the world, young and old, rich and poor, and have friends of all kinds because they are good people. I also absolutely hate when girls submit to the stereotype of the dumb gold-digger, or the baller syndrome, it makes me and some of my friends like me, look bad. As women we need to be smart enough not to let men walk all over us, or turn us against each other because they are playing games. Ever had to curse anyone out? Not really as of yet but, there are several people who are at the top of my list when it does come to that. A birdie told me that you're a 2nd degree black belt in karate. Ever had to kick some chicks or dudes ass for disrespecting you? In school, it wasn't a problem, people just knew I was a hard-ass, I was intense, and played defense on the girls varsity hockey team. Which meant I spent lots of time in the penalty box for being a little too rough, but I didn't care, I liked pushing people around! My heart would start beating fast and I'd get excited when an opposing player was in front of my goalie, because that meant I got to run them over! What was it like being on the MTV show Final FU? It was an amazing experience; I met 28 amazing martial artist, and great people. The production crew and casting were so much fun and the food we had was awesome! It was like a dream that I could wake up and eat with all the fun people, fight and compete all day and talk to the cast. We were stuck with each other for 2 weeks and couldn't see anyone else so we ended up feeling like family! Turn ons: Intelligence, ambition, healthy habits (eating and working out), I like tall, dark and handsome ; ) someone who likes to go out and explore and experience new things. Thrill seekers, nice cars, sense of humor, a guy who can sing. and tattoos! Turn offs: Ignorance, mean spirited people, judgmental people, bad hygiene, laziness, selfishness. Is there anything people don't get about you that you wish they would? That I'm not after attention and fame, I'm after the fulfillment of my heart and ambition, I'm a dreamer, an achiever, a lover and a poet and I'm really not as intense or mean as people seem to think I am. I'm not dumb and I'm not superficial, I was raised by a good family to be a hard worker and I am a Christian. This is the part of the interview where I give you the floor. To do shout outs, promotions, or whatever. So, is there anything wants to get off her chest besides my eyes? Haha, well basically I'd like to say thanks to the magazine for featuring me, and all my fans, followers or anyone who took the time to read this article and not just breeze through the pictures. I'd like to say a thank you to my mom and dad and my friends who've been there through it all. Thank you to my photographers, Satio, Onyx, Timeshift, Imagezz, and anyone else I have ever worked with, for helping shape and mold my portfolio and career. I'd like to say a huge thank you to an anonymous man who has been the most help to me throughout my career and kept me grounded and focused at the same time, the man who has loved me for who I am and I love him back. ; ) And last but not least I thank God for everything I have achieved, and for my supportive family, friends and all the opportunities I have been given. Madison

BLAZIN: Lets get it out of the way right away. I love your exotic look. So you may have to excuse my drool. Thank you for stopping by.
Madi: Awww, thanks for the compliment and thank you for having me.
VBLAZIN: Where were you born?
Madi: I'm a Midwest baby I was born in Indianapolis, Indiana.
VBLAZIN: What was growing up like for you?
Madi: I was a very smart kid, I was always in gifted or advanced classes, at one point my parents had me tested and only eleven other kids in the entire nation were smarter. However, once I hit high school my rebellious phase kicked in hard :-)
VBLAZIN: Oh, so you were wild child? Because in all your photos you have a little bit of mischief in your eyes.
Madi: Well I am an outgoing person, not really a wild child (anymore) but I do tend to take on a entire different character when I get in front of the camera, I guess you could say its my way of making love to the camera.
VBLAZIN: What's the wildest thing you done?
Madi: Oh wow! I guess that would have to be the time my then boyfriend and I did our thing in a church parking lot during service...I repented everyday for a month after that :-)
VBLAZIN: WOW!! Why couldn't we have met sooner...LOL....On that same note, what's the wildest thing you ever saw?
Madi: Come on! In this day and age there are too many wild and crazy events to pick just one :-)
VBLAZIN: So what did you listen to growing up music wise?
Madi: I'm an old school R&B fanatic so I listened to a lot of Luther, Chaka, Whitney, and Al Green. But don't get me wrong I grew up in the 90's and I was all into Another Bad Creation, Immature, SWV, Micheal & Janet Jackson.

VBLAZIN: Okay we have some of the same taste. What's in your CD player or iPod now?
Madi: I've been listening to Lloyds new CD like everyday, he has a song called Incredible that I repeat like 5 times before I go on to the next song. His CD is real nice.
VBLAZIN: I'm feeling that Lloyd joint as well. Now looking at your pics, I feel myself getting hotter. Are you very comfortable with your body?
Madi: Thank you, but to be honest I don't think any woman is ever satisfied with their body. I love what God gave me and I'd rather have it then not have it but I have my days when I'm like dang I wish I could change this or that.
VBLAZIN: Do you work out, or is that all natural?
Madi: I don't have a workout regimen I just work out when I feel the need.
VBLAZIN: So, how'd you get into the modeling thing?
Madi: My mother, she modeled for 15 years and she started me at five and its been a wrap since then.
VBLAZIN: Have you ever done any nude modeling?
Madi: Playboy style no. But I've done implied nudity for an artistic shoot I did a while ago.
VBLAZIN: Do you plan on going into other things like acting, music videos, movies, etc or have you already done that? And if so, can we see you anywhere else now?
Madi: Yeah acting will probably be the next step, I think that would be fun to breath life into a character and then to watch your work on the big screen would be crucial.
VBLAZIN: Do you have any projects coming up in the future that we should look out for?
Madi: Yeah look out for my website mskandikoated.com launching this year and other products from Kandi Koated Inc. in the next year.
VBLAZIN: A little birdie tells me you Chocolate is your weakness. Can you tell us a little about other things you cant live without? (please say me!!) LOL
Madi: LOL! Yeah I looooove chocolate especially chocolate syrup because its very lickable, lol.
VBLAZIN: Now you got me blushing.LOL , We'll just have to check the VBLAZIN fridge and see if we have some in there. And if not I'll definitely send someone out for some ASAP! Are you a good dancer?
Madi: Oh yes I can get down with the best of them, I used to Janet Jackson's routines from her All For You Tour as a workout, lol
VBLAZIN: That's funny. Cause we thought you looked a little like her in her younger years. What kinds of things do you like to do in your spare time?
Madi: I love to read books, magazines, cook ( I must say though I'm from the south so my cooking isn't the healthiest but it tastes real good), and write poetry.
VBLAZIN: I gotta ask if you have a man? Demanding minds want to know. For me as well as the readers.
Madi: I'm sorry but yes I do have a man.
VBLAZIN: DANG!!....um ..... I meant..... That's great! What type of man do you prefer?
Madi: LOL...Well, I don't really have a type more like standards and its really too much to list, lol but I love to laugh so someone who knows how to put a smile on my face is a plus, and a man who is secure within himself goes a long way because in this industry you have to be with someone who trusts you or it won't last long.
VBLAZIN: So what does a man have to do to get invited in after a date with you? Cause I'm taking notes.

Madi: He can be the perfect date but he still won't get invited in, I mean what's wrong with making him work for it?

VBLAZIN: Are you the romantic laid back type or are you a wild child?

Madi: I'm a mix of both so my man never knows what to expect in the bedroom, gotta keep him guessing, lol

VBLAZIN: So, before I end this I got a few questions for the dogs that are wondering. Some people are such pervs. Umm........... Uhhh.... not me though. Are you up for it?

Madi: Ummmm, I hope so, lol

VBLAZIN: Dinner and a movie, or rent a movie and stay in?

Madi: Oh I'm a Blockbuster chick all day everyday!

VBLAZIN: ruff or gentle?

Madi: A mixture of both is the best.

VBLAZIN: Sex or shopping?

Madi: I'm going to be a girly girl and say Shopping!

VBLAZIN: real porn or Cinamax?

Madi: The real deal is always better, lol!

VBLAZIN: weed or beer?

Madi: I don't drink beer (gross!) and the greenery has always been cool with me, lol.

VBLAZIN: and last, Cuddle or go to sleep after?

Madi: Well I always fall asleep in my mans arms.

VBLAZIN: LOL.. I hope that didn't hurt too much. I think I'm in love with a "Taken Women". Well this is the part of the interview where I give you the floor for shout outs, promotions, or what ever you want. So is there anything you want to get out there? The floor is yours.

Madi: Yes I want to give shout outs to everyone reading this, my lil sis aka my LA roomie, Deja Vu Entertainment, Kandi Koated Inc., and Yawnz my web designer.

VBLAZIN: Any time you want to come back you're very welcome. Plus we want to keep an eye on your career. Cause we feel your gonna be doing BIG things.

Madi: Thanks VBLAZIN!
