CityCenter Choo Choo Bellagio Station

Just got back from an overnight stay at Bellagio (as suggested by reader TIavEN in our Where should we stay? post from last week) to celebrate Admiral HHH's birthday.

While peering out the Bellagio West Wing room, I noticed a couple of interesting things that are worth mentioning sharing.

Cosmopolitan looks nearly finished, at least the exterior does.

Vdara has black stripes where the building's curve faces Bellagio's spa tower and the Cosmo, presumably to cut down on the glare blasting into the other towers? It sure looks crowded over there.

Wynn $8 Chinese New Year Chips

I stopped by the casino cage at Wynn Las Vegas the other night in search of the commemorative $8 Chinese New Year chips that I had never seen before until I found them on the eBay a month ago.

Thanks to the lovely Linda, Wynn Las Vegas cashier extraordinaire, we managed to snag all four editions of the $8 chips.

Mike E's Going to Vegas

So it's been a little crazy around these parts in preparation for an upcoming trip. If there's one thing I love almost as much as Vegas, it's all the excitement of knocking down the pre-Vegas errands before heading out.

The cameras are charging, the clothes back from the dry cleaners, the car has been serviced and washed, the bags are packed (with bottles of Goose and Macallan wrapped in protective blankets), and room confirmations have been printed. Now the only thing that stands between my favorite city and me are half a tank of gas and three and a half hours...

You've all probably read about my recent exploits at Harrah's Rincon. Today I received my first mailer from them with the usual coupons and announcements. It even included a tiny bit of unintentional comedy.
