India, being new to this technology take the time to accept this.Slowly sales because they take advantage of electric bikes that are not license-and no-registration. But because the technology is still in a nascent stage, there are many problems related services faced by customers and because the whole concept of electric bicycle will lose good customers.

Ultra Motors Ltd. and India-based Hero (motorcycle company Hero group) join hands and marked the successful production and marketing of electric bicycles along with a good after sales service. Although the pair successfully branded the concept of e-bikes in India, they are separated and now launch their products individually.

Ultra Motor India plans to launch three scooters, including one in the category of high speed, and import high-end models to India next year. "Electric vehicle category is becoming more and more important globally and will grow substantially in India also. We are planning to sell 55,000 units in India in 2009-10," says Ultra Motor Chairman and CEO Joe Santana.

Electrotherm India Ltd (Eil) has posted revenues of Rs.200 million in the period from July to September this year, compared to Rs.130 million in the previous quarter. During the quarter, the company reported 54 percent increase in sales of Yo-bikes.

BSA Motors, a Murugappa group company targeting the market share of approximately 18-20 percent by the end of this financial year (2009-10). The company plans to increase its dealer network from 30 present in the four southern states to about 100 within three months and subsequently increased to about 120 by the end of this fiscal. The company expects sales of about 25,000 bikes during the current financial year.

There is no way to know for sure where the car would turn into a classic. Various factors play a role in determining this. CEO of a large insurance company known as Hagerty Insurance has compiled a list of his own vehicle he thought might be a classic. Hagerty list may not match the others, but it is based on observations made in the insurance industry.

This may not seem like the type to be classics, but some people say that about the Beetle once.
