I am really trying to get 'Will of the Magus' done by the end of the year. It's a one off fantasy novella. After that I am intending to finish 'The Wicca Man: Blood Born'. Although I find sequels hard as I have a short little span of attention (and the rest of the series is so long). Well, a trilogy, theoretically.

Update: First draft of Will of the Magus finished. I shall brush off the start of Wicca Man #2 and getting going on it soon.

Blackberry Summer is a solid book. Small town romance is not my favorite genre, and you can hardly move for secondary characters, but it is well-written.

The cover is a bit amusing, though. The story takes place over late autumn, winter and early spring. The only season that does not make an appearance is summer.

No blackberries either, other than as a street name.

I am not being terribly productive, but I only have two chapters to go on my current fantasy novella manuscript "Will of the Magus". So I need to decide what to do next. Probably either the sequel to Wicca Man: Tongue Tied, or the third part of Ballot's Keep (Father of Dragon, Lover of Ghosts). If you have a preference, let me know.

Aspen Mountain Press is going through some staff changes that would make it difficult to meet the planned August 8th (Monday) release date. So I have decided not to go ahead with this title at this time.

I am waiting for the delivery of a sofa that may be kind of red or kind of beige; accounts differ. It was on clearance so I don't care much either way, but it is odd not knowing.

Edited to add: Um, it seems to be off-white. Off white + dog = I need a slip cover.

On a whim I picked up a copy of the magazine: Write Your Novel in 30 Days. I am being a bit more moderate and aiming for a novella. How well with it go with a full time jobs and other things to get done? Well, we shall see. The task for day 1 is: Write a One-Sentence Summary. So here it is....
