Even if here is the snow, I feel that spring is coming. It's not so clear, but you can see little and hide signals like little shy flowers, tweets bird, longer day and a shiny sun. It's time discover a new skin!

Life is pink

In this winter I made a lot of creations, but the most difficult was the pink coat. It took me one month of work, but at the end I'm very proud of it. I adore the pink color and the tulip shape. This is the perfect dress to say goodbye to the winter!

How can I define my 2012? It was the year of yes, but, however ... the three words that I always say. It was the year of ideas, intuitions and bitter answers. Christmas time is here, like the Peanuts theme. I just finished helping my mum to prepare tortellini for Christmas dinner and now I am going out with my friends to drink brulè in the city centre and listening good music. Every clash has been closed out the door. Merry Christmas!

Last Saturday I discover a new series on SkyTV, Pan Am. It tells the life of four hostess that work for Pan American World Airways during the Sixties. I really like the style of these girls, so polite, flawless and very Sixties, when the shape of woman was enhanced by clothes. I really like long pencil skirt, chaste blouse and the lovely gloves and hats. In this picture I seem to be one of the Pan Am hostess. Welcome on board!

Houston we have a problem

This is a precious jewellery, the sewing machine of my mum. Surely It is older than me and I'm very affectionate to it. I remember when I was a child, that I observed my mum's sewing clothes for all the family and also for me. Now I'm the one who continues to use it. But recentely it has some problems: when I do zig zag it makes a strange sounds and last time it stopped to sew!!! What can I do now? It needs of a overhaul, but I cant' stop sewing for so long time. I need of a solution....

Vintage Festival is an interesting place because, it seems to be in a completely different place instead of Padua, a quite normal city in the North-East of Italy. There are so many kind of people that probably you'll never meet in a normal day of the week.This is why I took some pics!

Although the style rockabilly was the most popular, I was surprised to also find some ethnic elements like turban, that I simply love, and strong colors such as green, also in the hair like londoners do, and the red ,in my opinion a must for blonde people for this season.

Finally Vintage Festival is here! I'd been waiting for a long time this event. It 's a fair that takes place for a weekend (14-16 September) in the center of Padua and is an excellent opportunity to find cool stuff and buy interesting things. It's a place to see and be seen.

It's just a little to understand that began school. If yesterday the streets were empty and at 8 o'clock you could hear only the church bells in the distance and I could ride my bike to work almost in the middle of the road in absolute peace, today the city was a jungle: aggressive mothers in suv looking for parking, screaming kids and the usual traffic. I liked to think a style for this particular day full of expectations.

Fabric softener

Lately I've made some ecological and healthy choices in my lifestyle, for my health and for the environment. Often we are driven by advertising false needs and the fabric softener is an example: pollutes the sea, can cause allergies, is a carcinogen (contains benzyl acetate linked to pancreatic cancer) and especially it creates a oily fouling on the fiber to soften the fabric.
That 's why I decided to replace this ugly product with vinegar and I must say I'm satisfied. However, surfing on Pinterest I found this genious adv that's able to make you forget all the bad things about softener, because it's sooooo funny!

Pina

In this moment I want to take a flight for London: not only because is my favourite city ever, but also because in this period there is an interesting exhibition about Pina Bausch costumes at Barbican centre. I'm really interest in contemporary dance. It's a quite young passion for me: I discovered it last September in an international dance festival in Bassano (Italy) Bmotion. It's a very suggestive world. The tools that dancers use, are quite simple: body, music, and stage, but the results are so passionate, vivid and intense, it's curious how body movements can talk. Through this experience, I've arrived to Pina. I can't write so much about her work, beacuse I'm a "paria" in this matter, but when I saw Win Wenders film Pina, I was fascinated by, obviously, the choreography, the ability of the dancers, but most of all, the scenography, like the costumes. The dancers wears like normal people: evening dresses like also simple tunic, high heels (also for men) instead of ballet shoes, and everything used not just as a demonstration of beauty but also of desire; of how men and women interact with each other and use their clothing to hide or reveal themselves accordingly.
I really hope in the future to see a Pina Bausch Company show, I've a lot to learn about Pina Bausch.
