Steve Brotman, Managing Director, Greenhill SAVP

Steve Brotman is a Managing Director of SAVP. Prior to founding SAVP in 1998, Mr. Brotman was the founder, CEO and Chairman of AdOne Classified Network, the nation's leading classified ad web site. AdOne has since merged as an equal partner with PowerAdz, and renamed PowerOne Media. While at SAVP, Steve was a finalist for the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2000, named in Crain's 2001 Tech 100. While at AdOne in 1997, he was selected for Crain's Top 25 Players Shaping Silicon Alley and the 1995 Top 40 under 40 among New York businessmen. Steve received his undergraduate degree in Economics from Duke University and a joint JD/MBA degree with honors from Washington University. In between degrees, he worked for Andersen Consulting as an associate doing systems design and integration and enhanced workflow and productivity projects. Steve currently serves on the boards of Critical Mention, Cosential, Game Trust (Observer), and Knovel (Observer) and has previously served on the boards of Medidata (Observer), DataSynapse (Observer), 7thOnline and Bla-bla (acquired by UGO in 2001). In addition, Steve has served on the board of the MIT Enterprise Forum and as a mentor and judge for the Columbia Business School Lang and Greenhouse Funds.

Tim Foster, Business Development Manager, Edison Venture Fund

Tim Foster serves as Manager of Business Development. Tim is responsible for managing and expanding Edison's referral source network of service provider professionals and financing sources in the Mid-Atlantic region (PA, DE, MD, VA, DC, NJ, NY, CT, MA) Tim identifies and builds new relationships for mutual referral opportunities. This includes trading deal flow and facilitating lead sharing with referral network contacts and sourcing Edison deals and portfolio company opportunities to service providers. In addition Tim represents Edison in the market on behalf of the regional investment teams. He increases awareness of and reinforces Edison's brand and strategy in each market. Tim regularly attends regional trade, venture and networking events and works closely with entrepreneurial and technology-related organizations such as ACG, MAVA, ETC, and the NJTC.

Tim previously served as the Manager of Industry Development for 1SYNC. 1SYNC is a not-for-profit subsidiary of GS1 US which specializes in data synchronization. In his role, Tim was responsible for expanding data synchronization adoption across targeted industries and global regions as well as customer relationship management. Mr. Foster brings to Edison many years of proven experience in the software and technology industry. Prior to joining 1SYNC in October 2003, he served as Director of Sales and Operations for Consolidated Business Services. He has also served in several sales and account management roles with SAP and Princeton Softech.

James Robinson IV, Managing Partner, RRE Ventures

Jim Robinson is a co-Founder & Managing Partner of RRE Ventures. He has been active within the technology community for over twenty years as a venture capitalist, entrepreneur and banker.

Since co-founding RRE in late 1994, Jim has been responsible for over thirty technology investments, with a focus on digital consumer, enterprise and financial services technologies. He is currently a Director of AdaptiveBlue (semantic personalization) GoMobo (mobile order systems), iCrossing (e-marketing technologies), Mixed Signals (digital broadcast monitoring), m-Via (mobile remittances), OpenPeak (home infotainment platforms), SmartPay Jieyin (mobile top-up & payments in China), Vivre (luxury brand retailing), and WisdomTree (developer of indexes/ETFs).

While earning a dual degree in Computer Science and Business Administration at Antioch College during the early 1980's, Jim worked as a programmer for state government, and later founded and was President of IV Systems Inc., a firm that created small business applications for unix workstations. In 1986, Mr. Robinson joined JP Morgan & Company, where he spent four years working on technology-related assignments, first within the group charged with building global risk management systems, and later as an investment banker in corporate finance. Mr. Robinson earned an MBA from Harvard in 1992, and subsequently joined Hambrecht & Quist Venture Capital in San Francisco. While at H & Q he led investments primarily within the software and communications sectors.

Jim is involved in several non-profit endeavors, with a particular interest in children's issues and rights. He is also involved with the New York Software Industry Association (NYSIA), the New York City Investment Fund's Information Technology Group, and as a member of the Advisory Board of the National Association of Drug Abuse Problems. Jim has been a member of the Young President's Organization since 1998.
