Charles Humphreyson, General Partner, HO2 Partners

In 1985 Charlie and two associates founded Contact Software, the developer of the ACT! contact management system. Charlie helped develop the program code for ACT!, created the ACT! Certified Consultant distribution channel and served as company Vice President of Operations/Finance. In 1996 he co-founded Richman Bradley Holdings, a NASD registered securities broker/dealer and business advisory firm. He and Dan Owen formed HO2 in late 1997 and launched the HO2.1 Funds in December 1999.

HO2 Partners
We cultivate long term co-investment relationships with like-minded venture firms, helping to build strong syndicates and cohesive portfolio company boards. HO2's first fund, launched in December 1999, ultimately raised committed capital of $35 million. HO2.1 Funds made investments in a total of eight ventures and currently has five growing, well-funded, well-managed companies in its portfolio.

Annette Finsterbusch, Director, Applied Ventures, LLC

Annette Finsterbusch is a director for Applied Ventures in the Corporate Business Development group of Applied Materials since 2004, responsible for identifying, recommending and managing venture capital investments. She is also a Kauffman Fellow.

Prior to joining Applied Materials, Ms. Finsterbusch was the CEO at MindShadow.com, a technology spin-out of DaimlerChrysler's Research and Technology Center. Prior to that position, Ms. Finsterbusch was an investment manager for DaimlerChrysler Venture Capital since 2001, responsible for enterprise software investments. Ms. Finsterbusch also had previously worked for Applied Materials, leading its business development efforts in Russia, Belarus and Armenia from 1996 through 2000, chartering the company's first office in Moscow.

Ms. Finsterbusch's philanthropic directorships include seats on both the Board of Directors for the Junior League of San Jose and the Exception Women Executives of San Jose State University.

Ms. Finsterbusch received a Bachelor of Science in economics and geology from the University of Houston and a Master's in Business Administration in Strategy and Finance from San Jose State University, where she was honored with the Graduate of the Last Decade (GOLD) Award in 2004.

Neal Hansch brings over a decade of experience in venture capital, technology operations and investment banking. The Band of Angels is Silicon Valley's oldest organization still dedicated exclusively to funding and advising seed stage startups. The Band is a formal group of more than 100 former and current high tech executives who are interested in investing their time and money into new, cutting edge, startup companies. Band members have founded companies such as Symantec, Logitech, and National Semiconductor and been senior executives at the likes of Sun Microsystems, Hewlett Packard, and Intuit. The Band meets monthly to formally consider three startups selected from among the more than 50 that are screened each month by the Band Deal Selection Process. Entrepreneurs can expect a thorough examination and, occasionally, an investment from some of Silicon Valley's most accomplished entrepreneurs. The Band of Angels Venture Fund, L.P. is a $50M venture fund comprised exclusively of institutional partners including three corporations, two university endowments, and a large pension fund. The fund currently has a single general partner and coinvests in deals that are subscribed by members of the Band of Angels. The Fund focuses on seed/early stage high technology deals but is generally category agnostic. In fact, a goal of the fund is to maintain a diverse balance among the categories of semiconductor, biotechnology, software, telecommunications, and industrial. Initial investment sizes are typically $300,000 with total commitments for successful companies reaching $2.5M.
