I've only had the XV6900 for a couple weeks now, but it really bothers me how the only way I can see who is calling me is if I have a picture assigned to their contact information. Is there a way to have the phone either display the number of the person calling me? Or even better the name of the person from my contact list?

1) Ive had the xv6900 for little over a week now (upgraded from a samsung i-730 so im used to the WM sytem) and ive been using a great program called 'Live Search' and one of the map options is GPS . i cant get it to work with my phone . I thought the cdma htc touch phones had GPS ? I could be mistaken .

and

2) In all the video reviews ive seen on the CDMA version of the touch , it has the cube (alike the gsm version) . I dont know if this was taken off in an update they had on the phone or a 3rd party App. ? Its possible all the video's i saw were not final products and Verizon wanted to take more cool qualities away from their customers .

Anyone have the Verizon VX6900 and have tried transferring their phonebook over to their car? Seems this phone is compatible with Acura bluetooth, except phonebook transfers. Wondering if anyone has figured this out or if there's a software update. Thanks!

I like the phone but not like Verizon's expensive data plan. I will probably not select any data plan but as I know Verizon will charge by MBytes used over the air.

So, my question: Is there a way to configure XV6900 not use over the air connection but only sync and access internet when USB or Bluetooth is connected with computer?

Basically, I do not want XV6900 to silently connect to EV-DO over the air and accidently used over the air data to be charged.

Thanks

I'm looking at adding some WiFi access to my Touch. Does anybody have any suggestions on a Mini SD Wifi WLAN for the Touch. I traded my 6800 for a 6900 for RAM issue but I'm kinda missing the Wireless.

My XV6900 is experiencing missing calls problem. After the phone was used for several days, then it started to miss incoming calls while it is in sleep mode and the screen was turned off. The symptom is that the ringer did not ring on the incoming calls and the calls got registered on the phone as missed calls. I checked the ringer setting which is set to ring sound, not vibrate nor silent. Sometimes the ringer will ring a very short chip sound couple minutes after the call was long missed.

There are several other xv6900 users experiencing the same problem on other forums. Not sure if anybody have similar problem and what is the solution of that problem.

This is annoying and I contacted Verizonwireless tech support through email. The reply suggests me to do a soft reset of the phone. I did the soft reset and the problem went away. But after about 3 ~ 4 days, it reappeared. I then did another soft reset and it went away again. I am still monitoring how it goes. I usally ran couple application on the phone. Next time when it happens, I will try to close those running applications to see if it can resolve it. Otherwise I have to do a soft reset every 2 days to work around this problem. I sent Verizonwireless a second email specifying the problem and hope they could do investigation and give us some software upgrade.

When the phone goes into powersave mode (black screen) it stops responding. The green light continues to blink normally but none of the buttons will activate the phone. The only solution is a Soft Reset (open back and remove battery).

Could I install 3rd party navigation software such as TomTom on XV6900 and combined with its internal GPS receiver for navigation? I know that Verizon offers 'Easy Navigation' so the internal GPS must work but does verizon enable is for integrate with other navigation software?
