Roadtrip Costa Blanca

Seeing Valencia was not the only thing my friends wanted to do on their trip to spain.
So we rent a car and drove south along the Costa Blanca.
Valencia->Denia->Javea->Calpe->Benidorm->Alicante->Valencia

As it is possible to see, we had there also bad luck with the weather, which changed in Benidorm at the next day.

I was quiet disappointed from Denia and Javea...so I was glad that we went there on our way to Alicante. It is more or less useless to go there only to see these cities.
About Calpe I am not shure, we just went to the coast to see the hill and the beach, so I can't really say anything about it.
Benidorm is a really bad tourist city, but it was interesting to see all the hotel "scyscapers". On eof them looked like it would stand in Gotham City

We stayed because of the really perfect water in benidorm a little bit to long, so we were too exhausted to see much from Alicante, but the things we saw I liked.

BUT ANYWAY THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CITY OF OUR TOUR WAS OF COURSE VALENCIA!!

Friends visiting me in Valencia

Some friends of mine from germany visited me in Valencia.
As a advantage from living in a flat share, we had the possibility to make the city-tourist-tour with bicicles!! And for a special offer I showed them rain in Valencia, which not every tourist is able to see.

Maratón de Madrid

As a lucky coincidence the marathon of Madrid was on the sunday of my weekend in Madrid.
It was interesting to see so many runners at the same time, but also seeing so less people watching the start although there were over one million supposed to see the marathon. OK, the distance is 42km, so many possibilities to see the runners, but anyway I think there were a lot less than supposed.
But for the good show:

Trip to Madrid

Last weekend I have visited my sister in law, who is working there for 6 months at "Robert Bosch España Fábrica Madrid".
Traveling by bus is quiet easy and cheap and even for large people acceptable. So the drive is with 4 hours not too much and the bus station is also not too far away from the city center!

I booked the Albergue Juvenil Madrid, which is really cheap for people under 25, because it is subsidized by the goverment of Madrid. It is really clean, big and new! Even breakfast is included!!

As a summery:

the city center 'round "SOL" is really good for dinner and lunch, when you like to have a little bit of a spanish flair
the king's palace is one of the most touristic-used places I have ever seen!!
the parks are quiet beatufull and good to relax, but as you are living in the inner city you have to drive long to see such really green places
if you want to see a junngle inside of a trainstation, you have to go to Madrid
the are so many, too many tourists (and it's easy to say this, beeing one of them)

As a result:

going to Madrid for a weekend is qiuet perfekt (although it is not really time enough to see everything)
living in Madrid might be hard, specially in the summer, when you have no ocean around (like in Valencia, so thumbs up for Valencia)
but anyway: you have to see the city!!!

So long time is passed and a lot of things happened, 'till I finally started blogging!
