This is tag as synth-wave,don’t know really why.Minimal for sure.Love the smokey atmosphere in there and that psyche guitar sound.From 1978.

I think it was even before c.d.’s.When that guy started,he was a genus.

Peter Gordon and the good life orchestra/Lago’s escape/DFA reissue

Thanks to DFA for exhuming this treasure.Peter Gordon was handgun out in the NY 80′s with cool blocks such as David Byrne and Laurie Anderson.The production is out of sight and the music got an experimental of dance music.

For some reasons,this track reminds me the early Brigitte Fontaine and Areski productions..

Ce morceau est d’une étonnante modernité.Je rêve de recevoir de telles morceaux pour les sortir!!Ce track me fait d’ailleurs penser aux productions d’I:Cube.

Mi indus,mi new wave,mi dance.Dément quoi!

Je crois que c’est Belge et produit par une moitié du mythique Liaisons dangereuses..

Some news about our forthcoming releases…

We are glad to announce that Versatile will shortly release a 12″ by Argy – 2 tracks + 2 dubs – “The Difference” and “Daze to Come”. Solid House music for the club.

Aladdin is a new Versatile band formed by Gilbert Cohen (Château flight) and Nicolas Ker (Poni Hoax). The album, called “We Were Strong So We Got Lost”, is due to be released in May together with a 12″ including mixes by i:Cube and Botox. 12 tracks, 38 minutes, all vocals… you might be surprised! We will shortly present a track entitled “Come To The Fair”… First live appearance scheduled at La Gaîté Lyrique in May during the “Filmer la Musique” festival.

8 years after the release of “3″, i:Cube is back with a brand new album to be released in September. It contains more than 20 tracks featured as a mix on cd (as one track), with special edits on vinyl and digital. I can already say that the music spectrum covers all major dance music styles of the last 20 years as seen thru the eyes of master Chaix… heavyweight production!!!
