1968 Convertible for sale

all numbers matching, with a 327/350hp motor with less than 1k miles since rebuilt, car was completely stripped of old paint and repainted to a high gloss ralley red, the car was never hit and all the body panels are original to the car. the body of the car is lasar straight and all the gaps are correct. i have a black vinyl hardtop that goes with the car it is in perfect condition the convertible top is black and near perfect condition, the carpet and rear storage compartment doors are brand new and the seats are perfect, there are no options on this car, the odometer shows 49k miles is it actual i don't no but the corvette shop that did the paint work seems to think it is actual. i have the original radio and the original intake manifold and the original 4-speed shifter that also goes with the car. the window frames are perfect no rust. the gap behind the hood on one of the pictures is because i was working on the wipers and now they are fixed and the door is back on. any questions at all please email me I just got the car out of storage and i have more pictures of the car if you email me i will email latest pictures out,

Chrome bumpers are brand new, and the chrome exterior door handles look to be recent as well. Weatherstripping is also very nice and appears to be newer, along with the exterior emblems. Convertible top is brand new and looks great. This car wears correct '68 style rally wheels with older trim rings and center caps that are free from dings. Tires are Goodyear Eagle GTIIs and show nearly 90% tread remaining. Interior shows seat covers in very good condition with no visible flaws, and excellent door panels, dash pad, center console, and steering wheel. Gauges are very nice as well with minimal fading and cloudiness, and even the clock works! GM seatbelts are in place and function well. Correct loop style carpet is also installed and looks great. Engine compartment is very clean and appears mostly stock. Carburetor is a correct-appearing Rochester Quadrajet, which sits atop a GM intake. The a/c compressor shows a correct label. We have recently spent thousands of dollars in parts and labor to bring this car up to our standards. We have had the transmission rebuilt, replaced all brake pads and calipers as well as the rear rotors, new tach cable, gas gauge, all electrical components of the wiper system, fan clutch, radiator, headlight actuators, temperature sending unit and gauge, mufflers, alternator, and driver's mirror. A copy of a title from 1998 states the actual mileage on this car to be 92,195; current mileage shows 94,502. Paint on this car was just done, and looks very good with a brilliant shine and few imperfections. Chrome bumpers appear to be originals, and show some light patina but no major blemishes. This Corvette wears rally wheels in good condition with good condition trim rings and center caps. Tires are Tiger Paw Radial GTS with raised white letters showing roughly 80% treadlife remaining. Very much of the interior of this 1969 Corvette 427 is original, including the seat covers, steering wheel, door panels, center console, and seatbelts. There is one not-so-obvious tear in the driver's seat back, but otherwise these factory seat covers have aged well and show little wear. All other interior components are in good to very good condition, with no immediate attention being necessary. Carpet is correct loop style with little to no fading, and might possibly be original as well. The gauges in this car are in very good condition, showing no fading on the needles and faces, and relatively clear lenses. Original AM/FM radio is still in place. The engine and transmission in this car have just been rebuilt, and this car runs, drives, and stops extremely well. The only options that appear to be on the car now that were not on the tank sticker are the addition of power steering, and factory-style sidepipes. The casting date of this car's engine corresponds to August 30, 1969. Ignition shielding and correct factory aluminum intake manifold are present. Original owner's manual included. Assembled on August 23, 1971, this Corvette's trim tag shows paint code 988. Paint on this car looks to be a few years old, but still has a nice shine with minor stress cracks in the usual places. Chrome bumpers are probably original, and show wear typical of 38 year old chrome. The chrome door handles also look to be original, but have strong return springs and only minor pitting. This car is fitted with a luggage rack, which is showing some pitting. Weatherstripping appears to be older as well and has become somewhat brittle, but is nonetheless mostly intact. Original taillights show some normal hairline cracks. This 1972 Corvette wears rally wheels, which appear to be in good condition with nice shiny trim rings and center caps. Paint is a few years old, but still shows very well with tons of shine and hardly any signs of orange peel. There is one paint bubble in the common front clip area near the driver side headlight, a few hairline bubbles on the hood, a small scratch near the driver's door handle, and a few other minor touch-ups. Chrome bumpers are in excellent shape and look to be brand new. Weatherstripping is slightly dry-rotted and cracking in a few places. Wheels are rally style with nice trim rings, caps, and paint surrounded by BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires with more than half tread remaining. A luggage rack was added to this car, and it is in very nice shape with no dings, rust, or other major flaws. This is a great looking and driving '72 convertible that needs very little to be a show-winning car. Paint is overall very good with just the slightest hint of orange peel in a few areas and the common rivet dimples on the front clip near the headlights. No other obvious blemishes were found in the paint. The convertible top is older with some discoloration and scratches in the rear window, but no tears or rips are present at this time. Weatherstripping also appears older and is a little dry-rotted in some places, although it is intact and should function well. Exterior door handles appear to be original and are not perfect, but nonetheless work fine. A set of rally wheels with very good condition trim rings and center caps are mounted to the Michelin Radial XH4 tires, which look to be almost brand new. Although it does not have any pitting, dings or rust, the luggage rack does have a somewhat dull finish. Seat covers look great with no tears or splitting. Driver's door panel is in average original condition; passenger side is good to very good. Center console is in good condition with no cracks or other major issues. Dash pad looks great with no cracks or warping. Gauges are in overall good shape, although the redline is slightly faded on the tachometer. Additionally, the clock does not seem to be working at this time. Steering wheel is also in good shape with no cracks or significant wear. A Custom Auto Sound cassette deck has been installed, replacing the original AM/FM radio. Correct style loop carpet is present, and shows well with no fading or wear areas. Correct GM seatbelts are also currently installed. The original engine sports a set of chrome Edelbrock valve covers, a correct style Quadrajet carburetor, and correct ignition shielding. This is the last year for the 454 big block, this is an original 38,000 mile car which is untouched except for one repaint which is a 9 out of 10. Everything in the interior is original including the carpet and it looks great. The car is equipped with Air(works), PS,PB,PW tilt and deluxe interior. Everything works except the clock it stops occasionaly, and by saying this I mean everything all lights interior and exterior all guages and indicators. It has a period correct radio, the original comes with the car. It is numbers matching everywhere nothing has been changed. Runs like a 38,000 mile car, cruises at 70 straight and tight. Assembled on April 9, 1974, this 'vert is certainly one of the nicest Vettes we have ever offered under the fixer-upper category; in fact, the only reason it is under this category is because it has a few slow fluid leaks and is in need of a new convertible top. Otherwise, this C3 is in great shape, is very original and correct, and is loaded with factory options including ICE COLD air conditioning. Simply put, this Vette is an absolute steal! The paint on this car is gorgeous -- plenty of shine, and very few imperfections. Weatherstripping is intact and in relatively good shape for older rubber. This Vette has been upgraded with the later style slotted aluminum wheels, which are in great shape and really give this car some character. Tires are raised white letter Goodyear Eagle GTII with nearly 75% tread remaining. Tailights look to be brand new with no cracks in the lenses. Chrome door handles look to be original, with just the driver side experiencing some common minor spring sagging. Convertible top is in good shape with a good window. The interior shows the correct deluxe style interior with very good seat covers, and surprisingly good correct wood trim on the door panels and center console. Carpet shows some minor wear from normal use, but is the correct cut-pile pattern and does not show any wear-through. The dash pad wears a cap that is in very nice shape and has been professionally installed. Correct GM shoulder belts are present as well. The original unrestored gauges look very nice also with bright needles and a working clock; original radio has been swapped in favor of an Alpine CDE-9846. Door panels are in very good shape, with the only negative being some loose threads on the driver's side stitching. The engine compartment on this C3 shows many original items. The numbers matching engine block shows a build date of April 2, 1974, and features a correct intake and correct exhaust manifolds. Ignition shielding is in place also. The Quadrajet carburetor shows stamp number 17054920; alternator is stamped 1100597. Although not a fresh paint job, the engine wears correct Chevrolet Orange and looks great. This is a great car. The restoration of it was completed in 1998. Ths car is virtually stock; with the exception of the Kenwood am/fm/CD and speakers. (original radio comes with car). I have maintained this car in a climate controlled garage and dust it everyday. I drive this car often. It is very dependable. In the last three years, I've spent $4k in parts: I have replaced all fluid hoses, ignition wires, upper control arm bushings, etc. I have the receipts to prove it. These recent photos do not lie. Please note the custom speaker set-up in the rear compartment; it still allows storage of the T-Tops. Whenever I take the car to local cruise nites or shows, everyone is impressed by the sound system installation. I can't believe GM didn't think of themselves! That's how factory stock it looks. For you purests, the panel can be easily removed for original look. In Nov. '08, I installed new master cylinder and new rear pads. Feb. '09, replaced power steering pump and all 4 lines. Showing an assembly date of February 25th, 1975, this C3 has a nicely redone interior and is very original and correct. This is also a very well-optioned car from the factory, yet still has the desirable 4 speed. Paint is older, and shows normal scratches as well as some checking on the rear deck, but still looks good from a few feet away. Chrome door look original but function well. Weatherstripping is possibly original, and is getting a little hard but functions well. BFG Radial T/A tires show about 70% tread and are mounted on slotted aluminum wheels which are in overall nice shape for their age. The interior shows excellent carpet and seat covers, which are possibly new. The carpet is cut-pile, which is correct for cars such as this, which came equipped with deluxe interior. Original GM seatbelts are in place, and the dash pad is free from cracks as well. However, the driver's side A-pillar does show some cracking when the door is open. Door panels are in very nice shape as well, although the driver's does have a scratch on the wood trim. There are a few paint chips on the horn button, but otherwise the steering wheel is in great shape. Gauges look to be original, and show some minor fading on the needles and redline. Clock is of course not functioning at this time; original AM/FM radio is still in place. Engine compartment is very original, featuring many correct components. Also, the ignition shielding is present. The Quadrajet carburetor shows a correct number of 7045223. The intake manifold shows a correct number of 346249. Engine casting date shows B75, which would be correct, corresponding to February 7th, 1975. Alternator number is 1102488. Driver's exhaust manifold shows a number of 3932461; the passenger's side is not legible. A/C compressor is a generic remanufactured unit. A universal chrome air cleaner is currently mounted on the carburetor. Includes original owner's manual. Being a 1977, this was one of the first Corvettes to be factory painted Black again, as that color disappeared as an option in 1970. Furthermore, this car has the extremely rare cloth interior, finished in Red, which nicely compliments the Black exterior. Needless to say, this would be the perfect color combination for a Falcons or Georgia Bulldogs fan! Showing a body assembly date of July 12, 1977, the paint on this car has seen better days; not appearing to have been a quality job to start with, the clearcoat has baked off in many areas, and the remaining areas show little to no shine. There does not appear to be any body or fiberglass damage to this 1977 Corvette. This car was ordered with a luggage rack, which is now showing some light surface rust. All 4 taillights on this car show some cracking; weatherstripping looks to be all original, and is quite brittle and rotting away. A set of 1967 style 7 inch rally wheels are installed, which are in good condition, showing a few spots of surface rust. All 4 trim rings appear to be in good shape with no dings; there are some gouges on the center caps. A set of Goodyear Eagle GT II raised white letter tires are present, and show no dry-rot, with roughly 70% tread remaining. Chrome door handles look to be original and show the common lazy return spring issue, but function very well and do not show any pitting or fading. The interior of this 1977 Corvette is very original, with cloth seats showing worn foam and some fading, but no rips or tears. Door panels are faded with rough lower carpet areas, and also show a few small cracks. Driver's interior door handle is missing. Main carpet looks to be original, and is faded and matted with 30 years of normal wear. Steering wheel currently wears a stitch-on cover; expect the factory leather underneath to be in poor to fair condition. Dash pad shows some minor fading, but no cracks. Center console shows signs of previous attached accessories, with a few drilled holes, some adhesive residue, and several large cracks in the rearward section. With the exception of the clock and the tachometer, the gauges appear to be working. Needles show some fading, although the lenses are relatively clear. A vintage off-brand AM/FM cassette stereo now resides where the original AM/FM stereo sat. The previous owner of this car claims that the engine was rebuilt within the last year, at which time a mild camshaft was installed. Other claimed recent work includes a new radiator and radiator support. This car starts right up and idles smooth; original engine block shows an assembly date of June 13, 1977. Many upgrades have been made under the hood, including an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold, Edelbrock carburetor, a set of coated longtube headers, MSD billet distributor, MSD ignition coil, MSD ignition box, chrome Edelbrock air cleaner, chrome valve covers, and a set of Taylor 8MM ignition wires. Although it is all there and hooked up, the a/c system currently has a leak and does not blow cold. This 1977 Corvette appears to have a solid frame and birdcage area with a little light surface rust in a few spots. This is a great running and driving project car that needs mostly cosmetics, so don't expect this one to last! Dash pad is in great condition with no cracks; center console appears to be original, but is in good condition. A vintage AM/FM cassette deck was installed at some point, and features the "Corvette" script. The engine in this 1980 Corvette shows casting date February 26, 1980, and has its correct GM intake and a remanufactured Quadrajet carburetor. The air pump is still hooked up in this car, as is most of the other original emissions equipment. The engine compartment has been very nicely detailed, and looks great! This car represents this stunning achievement with its understated, yet mysterious Silver/Charcoal paint scheme and eye-catching 16 inch wheels. Although not original, these wheels complement this car's colors nicely with their charcoal metallic lace and highly polished deep dish lips. Corvette logo center caps finish these wheels off nicely and would easily fool the non-Corvette enthusiast. These wheels come wrapped in super high performance BF Goodrich Comp T/A tires which are in great shape, showing no dry rot and nearly 85% tread remaining. Carpet looks to be original, but there are no obvious wear areas. Engine compartment is overall very correct, with a remanufactured a/c compressor and a recent remanufactured alternator. Additionally, the air conditioning system has been converted to the newer R134a refrigerant. Original mufflers have given way to a set of resonated exhaust tips with large polished rectangular outlets, which look very nice with the paint scheme.
