Next Mirliton Order Placed Tues, 07 May

Advance notice that my next trade order from Mirliton will be placed on Tuesday after the bank holiday.

Anyone wanting figures from the special order ranges is advised to order over the weekend for delivery at the end of the month.

The next trade order will be placed at the end of July just before Mirliton's annual August closure.

Mirliton Prices Increase

In late March Mirliton announced a 10% "across the board" price increase. Accordingly, my prices were increased on 14 April.

The only exception was for those 15 mm ranges held in stock where the prices were temporarily frozen. The freeze could not continue indefinitely and so on Tuesday, 07 May I will be increasing the prices of the 15 mm ranges.

This gives you nearly two weeks, including the bank holiday weekend, to place orders at the old prices.

Midland DBA 2.2 Open Championship (UK)

I recently sent a large box containing three DBA armies to David Constable, the organiser of this six game tournament. He bought the armies to use as prizes for this competition and I said I'd help publicise the event.

Now I'm sure everyone will have great day out but some players will also be receiving either a Corvus Belli or Mirliton DBA army pack to crown their victories. That's not all; there are further prizes supplied by Magister Militum.

If you fancy joining in, the competition is held at Alvechurch on Sunday, 12 May 2103 starting at 10:00 am. The entry fee is £5.00 which includes a sandwich lunch and free "all day" tea and coffee. To enter your cheque must be received by the organisers by Wednesday, 01 May 2013. Full details of the competition rules and who to contact are given in this pdf.

New Facebook Promotion

Now that the year end paperwork is done I've found time to catch up with a few things I've been meaning to do for a while. Today I posted a new offer to the Facebook fan page featuring the range of 15 mm Allied tanks from PSC.

As of 01 April the RRP of most boxes of PSC 15 mm tanks & vehicles increased to £18.95. The Panther kits increased to £19.50. Currently we're holding our prices on existing stock: saving at least £1.45 per box. As a Facebook fan of Vexillia, there's a further 10% discount making the saving at least £3.25 a box!

Mirliton Price Rise Imminent

Mirliton have announced a 10%, across the board increase effective Monday, 14 April 2013.

This is a significant increase but they last increased their prices in 2009 so they've held out for quite a while in difficult circumstances. In turn I've done my best to hold down the UK prices. I've also taken the opportunity to check all the prices of the Mirliton products are correct so not everything went up!

The prices for special order Mirliton items have been updated today. I will hold off updating the 15 mm prices until at least Monday.

Corvus Belli Restock Arrived

I have just finished unpacking the very large box that arrived from Spain this morning. As a result my Corvus Belli ranges are fully stocked.

All outstanding orders will be posted today.

Delivery Charges Increased

The Royal Mail increase their prices tomorrow and the delivery charges added by the web shop have been updated accordingly.

To keep the increases for the UK down to the bare minimum standard delivery will make more use of couriers for larger orders and in some instances second class post.

Just in case you don't like couriers, a new UK delivery option has been added: UK delivery by Royal Mail. It is more expensive for larger orders but has been requested often enough to be implemented.

The Royal Mail have also changed they way they deal with packets in the UK so the new prices will be reviewed after a few months.

Finally, delivery for overseas customers will also increase but the change is less than for UK customers. In some instances delivery will be cheaper because of the way the weight bands have been set.

Facebook Promotion Ending Soon
