Clearview International of Dallas, and Vi3 Technologies of Waco, have entered into an agreement whereby Vi3 establishes a Solutions Center for Managed Services Solutions, housed within the Waco Internet Technology Gateway facility, located at 700 Austin, in Downtown Waco.

Vi3's offices, once housed in the Hillcrest Medical Plaza, have moved to the Center, in Suite 100, and Vi3 will be the solutions specialists for all Managed Services offerings coordinated in the Central Texas Area, these services include Systems Integration, ASP.Net Custom Software Development, Outsourced Remote and Onsite IT services, Help Desk, Data Protection/Backup Programs, a full slate of Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Programs, and Managed Applications Hosting offerings.

Finally, a Simple Engine for eCommerce

When Waco based marketing firm Hole-in-the-Roof Marketing(HTR) needed a custom Groups based eCommerce platform architected, based on the specifications they had devised from the years of work they had accomplished for fraternities, sororities, and other clubs at Baylor University and Texas A&M University in Central Texas, they turned to Vi3 for a custom solution. Vi3 and HTR spent six months perfecting the platform, assuring themselves that the requirements for the system had been fully met. Now the system is working almost flawlessly, with orders flowing. They named the system SimpleEngine(SE).

The original problem-enabling the sorority 'event chairs' to organize and sell the specialty items they order from HTR with minimal hassle in collecting all the checks from their membership for the various t-shirts, coozies, and other custom items sold by HTR. Simple Engine even enables the chair to download reports which give them up to date records of who had made purchases, what size they had ordered, and if they had paid for the items purchased. SE is in the midstage of testing. To be completed are the establishment of a Tier One backend/control panel so that new Tier Two marketing companies like HTR can acquire and utilize SE to make the work of their particular clients go more smoothly.

Organizational Overview: Kiwanis International is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community at a time.The name “Kiwanis” means “we trade” or “we share our talents”, from an American Indian expression. Kiwanis members across the globe are volunteers changing the world through service to children and communities. Members help shelter the homeless, feed the hungry, mentor the disadvantaged, and care for the sick. They develop youth as leaders, build playgrounds, raise funds for pediatric research, and much more. There areabout 8,000 Kiwanis clubs in 96 countries, with more than 260,000 adult members, and approximately 320,000 youth in the youth organization. Members and clubs have contributed more than $80 million toward the global elimination of iodine deficiency disorders (IDD), the leading preventable cause of mental retardation.

The IT team at Kiwanis International, led by Scott Smith, IT Manager, began utilizing the Community platform in 2006. In 2007, Kiwanis initially sought to upgrade their CS2007 kiwanisone.org community site for the international community of Kiwanians, to extend the central organization’s services to their extended family of members.
