AIPP workshop – Lighting on Location for Weddings

On the back of the success of my last AIPP workshop that I co-hosted with 2 other photographers, now Newcastle photographers can enjoy having me all to themselves this May.
The workshop will be on location lighting – off-camera flash, video light and possibly reflector usage.

Wedding: George + Jen

George & Jen were married back in March having their gorgeous reception at Centennial Vineyards and their ceremony at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic church in Bowral.
It was a really fun day – the bad weather stayed away and there was so much happiness seen in everyones faces.

Todays Wednesday 1up is courtesy of the wedding I photographed on Monday at Summerlees cottages in Sutton Forest. It was a small intimate wedding (16 guests) and we had the perfect weather for their photos around the property.

It’s been a busy week. I was looking back on the blog pulling out some images for a class I taught on Tuesday / Wednesday and I realised that last April was also a super crazy month. I though I would have learned from last year not to take on so much work

Anyway I managed to pull the kidlets and mrsdear out to our local beach for a few quick snaps. The promise of fast-food afterwards provided the good behaviour.

Wednesday again! It’s been a busy week – as usual. April is looking especially scary… but some very awesome couples and some of our favourite venues make it in there. Yesterday – Tuesday 27th was our 8 year wedding anniversary! Time seems to go so fast. I often look at my family and wow myself that I have 3 amazing sons and a beautiful wife.

Here’s a frame from Saturday’s wedding at Centennial Vineyards in Bowral. I’ve been there quite a bit in the past 4 months, I’m almost starting to feel a part of the place. Speaking of which, I was literally a part of the floor when I took this photo up into the staircase. ~ J

Autumn colours are almost coming to the Southern Highlands. Its just about my favourite time of the year there. It reminds me of a shoot I did last year with Nicole with some autumn colours which I never got around to blogging here.
