Cricut Recognition!

Hello Everyone!

So it is a beautiful day today in Cincinnati, Ohio. Don't forget to set your clocks forward before bed! Anyway i did a playful cut with my Cricut Explore and Provocraft recognized it from the instagram! I was really surprised that they put it on their Facebook wall to share with all to see! Hello everyone!

I know I have been a slacker when It comes to blogging but I am gonna start posting projects again :) after all I caved and bought the new Cricut Explore! Did anyone else do the same? It's a little crazy and I tried to talk myself out of it. For those of you who haven't bought it and are thinking about it, I will have test cuts on my blog with different sizes and materials. HSN has a 30 day trial so I am putting it to the test. Let me know what you would like to see cut below :) I will have many pics on here after I receive it (around the 1st of March). 3d Christmas object project for Erica's Team

This an 11 inch box i did for April's project for Erica's Design Team. Forgive me for not being on a lot but i have crazy hours after not having worked in 12 years!! Promise you all i will get used to it one day and catch up! :) Hope you like it. Kept it simple. I used Sweet Tooth Boxes and cut it at 11 inches. And i used Christmas Noel for the snowflake at 2 inches! Thanks for looking!

My Cricut Craft Room 100 cartridge Blog Hop

Welcome to the 100 cartridge blog hop Day 2. We have a lot of great creativity going on today! So glad you took the time to stop by. Please start here if you didn't already with Erica. Pull up a chair and let's start hopping. So i was asked to choose 3 cartridges for the hop. The cartridges i chose to use were Give a Hoot, Gypsy Wanderings and last but not least, April Showers. I love to make the kids cards and baskets. This year i also used Plantin Schoolbook and clicked on bag, then italic and cut to fit page. I used Gypsy Wanderings to cut the bunnies, Give a hoot for the grass and April Showers for the butterflies! I covered the butterflies with liquid pearls and the ribbon is from the fabric section in Hobby Lobby. For the Happy Easter i used Easter 2010. Cards were cut at A2 standard size. I thinking the wording was cut at 2 and 2.5. Butterflies for the bags were cut at 1.5 inches. The eggs on the bags are stickers :) and of course they are filled with goodies :) Oh how i wish you all a very Happy Easter!!!

Card Sketch Tuesday!

Hi Everyone! Please feel free to join my blog if you would like! Today we were asked to design a card using green and yellow for Erica's Craftroom. I made a card using the Gypsy and the Easter 2010 cartridge. I cut my card at 4 inches for the height and the inner patterned paper at 3.75. I cut the bunny at 2.25 inches and I used liquid pearl for the eye and stickles for the tail. I used my fiskars punch for the grass. Hope you like my card. I thought it would be a good time to work on something for my daughter's senior book sense she is graduating in May(yikes!). Hope you all like it! How i got into Cricut!!

For Erica's craft room we are telling our stories about how we got into Cricut for a chance at a sweet giveaway!! I was watching a commercial by PC one day and they were showing amazing projects. My husband looked over and asked if I wanted it. I said no I probably wouldn't use it. Ha. Deep inside I was thinking it was the greatest thing I had ever seen!! Anyway time goes by and christmas is around the corner. My hubby kept asking me what i wanted. I said nothing and he said fine you aren't getting anything! LOL i figured he was teasing. By then i knew i couldn't ask for the Cricut :( . I wasn't expecting what was under the tree!! Oh wow!! Guess what? I opened a brand new Cricut Expression! And that is where it all started. Poor hubby didn't know he would create a scrapping monster!! Teehee. Loved sharing my story with you!! Share yours if you would like. For the calender i cut the "grid" at 5.5, March at 2 and the numbers at 1 inch from the Designer's Calendar Cricut cartridge. For March and the first shamrock, i used a pattern from the Imagine cartridge Bubblegum Stripes. I allso cut the flourishes(next to March) at 2 inches using the cartridge Stretch Your Imagination. Shift Feature Key!

Hope you like this! I do a lot of simple projects so people can replicate without a problem. I used Home Decor Cartridge with my Cricut Expression 2 and vinyl to decorate my craft room trash can. My Valentine Card:

For the 2nd day of the hop i used 3 cartridges for my valentine card! I used doodlecharms cartridge for the scalloped hearts, Best Images of 2009 for the Love You, and one of my faves and oldest cartridges Potpourri Basket for the intricately cut heart. I filled the red heart in with glitter glue and then used Pearlized paper bought at Hobby Lobby(The Paper Studio) and ribbon from the fabric section. Today i made a layout using green for Erica's DT project. This was a simple yet fun layout! I used the dinosaur from Create a Critter(isn't he cute?). For the font i used George and Basic Shapes. The grass was punched from a fiskar punch and the cuttlebug folder, tiny bubbles was used. Hope you enjoyed my layout! I wanted to share a Valentine banner with you all. I am really into banners this year so i did one for my Font Feature for Erica's Design Team project. If you didn't come here from her site you should check it out. http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com/ All my creative DT sisters are there! Please comment on everyone who did a project today. Anyways i cut my hearts at 2.5 and my letters at 2 with the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge and the Blast Off imagine cartridge. This cartridge is great for Valentines Day. It has a lot of pink in it. I also used some liquid pearls and my crop-a-dile 2 which i am loving lately. I used my Imagine machine, that i am glad i got for Christmas, for this project. Used the winter wishes cut from jolly holidays cricut light cart. The snowflake on the patterned block has plain old glitter and glue. Used a white stamp for a blizzardy look :)Thanks for looking!

Christmas card making

I am currently in Christmas card making mode. I am hoping to make at least 5 more before December. My plan is to not be in the craft room in December so i can spend that time with my family. One sheet wonder

So has anyone tried a one sheet wonder or even know what it is? Well anyways you take a sheet of cardstock and you cut it many ways to use on different cards. You can read more here. (may just help with my christmas cards since i wanna make each unique cause i am crazy..) and i am on a spending freeze this month and next!!
