Well not quite ...BUT Mark, who is a very talented guitarist and used to be in the band Love Affair (yes, that classic tune "Everlasting Love"), said he would love to use this photograph from our recent shoot as a CD Cover. In fact I think his words were "it has inspired me to write". Now that's a compliment. Mark teaches guitar in Cobham (and is very good) and his wife, Steph, helps people from all walks of life with their health. She provides nutritional supplments and offers free health talks regularly in Cobham. I photographed this very well-behaved little girl a few weeks ago. I think this shot shows how well bright, bold colours work against the white studio backdrop. She even picked out the matching plastic cup herself, from a whole selection of different colours...

Customers who purchase the CD containing all of the digital images from their shoot, receive £100 towards products of their choice or a photo slideshow, set to music, for playback on their computer and smartphones.

The CD purchase makes sense for people who are unable to choose their favourites, want all of the photos and want to be able to make copies for family & friends.

Here is one I have just received today, for a family who have been enjoying their photos on the CD for a couple of weeks already now.

I met this family for a studio photo shoot in their home a few weeks ago. Because the weather was lovely, we had a couple of shots in their back garden at the end too. I quite like combining the two styles, as each style produces very different results. In this case, the individual shots taken in the garden are some of my favourites from the shoot.

One of the benefits of a photo shoot at home is the fact that children's toys and props are available, as well as clothes changes. Children often like to include their hobby or favourite toys in the shoot and I love how their personalities shine through.

I'm preparing the order for this customer today, and as well as the usual family shots and children's portraits, they have chosen this montage of their daughter, who is learning ballet.

Well not exactly :-) but, I didn't expect to see one of my photos blown up to 12x7metres on the front of a building in South Korea any time soon. When I was asked to do a photo shoot with this Kingston couple a few months ago, they told me that one of the photos would be used on a banner at their wedding in South Korea. What I didn't realise at the time, was that it would be quite this big! They tell me that their big day was wonderful and that the banner photo was a fabulous feature. I'm very happy for them and I feel quite proud as well.

Congratulations and thanks to the happy couple, who have allowed me to use their photo on my blog.

Because photography is my job and I spend most of my time photographing people, sometimes I forget to do something just for fun. I had a couple of hours free this afternoon after a baby shoot was rescheduled to next week at the last minute. There are lots of things I should or could be doing instead, but I decided to see what I could do with a tray of water, a couple of plastic bags and of course my camera.

Quite good fun really.

I've just finished preparing these baby photos for print, so thought I would share. They are all going in large, contemporary white frames and I think they're going to look great on the wall. While I understand that many people prefer to have all of the photos on a CD, you can't really beat supersized artwork as a statement piece in your home. What a cute little boy too :)
