Senator Mitch McConnell has been out of the public eye for about six weeks. He was hospitalized on June 14 after falling at his home and briefly losing consciousness. Doctors say he didn’t break any bones, suffer a heart attack or stroke, or sustain a concussion.

People want more than just a couple of carefully released photos. Now Kentucky’s Democratic governor, Andy Beshear, is demanding more answers too.

In a letter to McConnell, the governor urged the 84-year-old senator to directly address the people of Kentucky about his ability to serve.

“I am calling on you to directly and verbally address the people of Kentucky and provide proof of your capacity to serve, or resign,” Beshear wrote to McConnell.

Beshear made the demand after McConnell’s office announced on Monday that he had been discharged from the hospital but had not yet been medically cleared to leave the rehabilitation facility where he has been undergoing physical therapy and return to office. – New York Post

McConnell’s office says he’s now in an inpatient rehabilitation facility undergoing intensive physical therapy. Doctors have not yet cleared him to return to work. His staff has released two photos of him with his wife, Elaine Chao, and says he’s still handling Senate business with his aides.

That’s the official story.

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear Wants More

He’s called on McConnell to appear on camera or otherwise speak directly to Kentuckians to demonstrate that he’s still capable of serving or step aside.

I don’t have a problem with that question. When you hold one of the highest elected offices in the country, you give up some privacy. The people you represent have a legitimate interest in knowing whether you’re still able to do the job.

Where Beshear lost me was during a CNN appearance, when he challenged Scott Jennings to call McConnell live on air. Jennings has said he’s spoken with the senator by phone, but demanding an impromptu wellness check on national television felt more like political theater than a serious request for transparency. You can ask fair questions without turning someone’s medical recovery into a spectacle.

The bigger problem is the information vacuum.

We’ve received little more than carefully crafted photographs and scripted statements. Maybe that’s because the official explanation is exactly right: an 84-year-old man suffered a serious fall, developed pneumonia, and simply needs time to recover. That’s entirely possible.

But when an elected official disappears from public view for weeks with only tightly controlled updates, people naturally start asking questions. The less information that’s provided, the more room there is for speculation.

Sen. Mitch McConnell’s Chief of Staff Terry Carmack did not respond to any questions related to McConnell’s current condition or why he hasn’t released a video statement during his absence from the Senate since entering the hospital on June 14 pic.twitter.com/3VeLAdh6sy

— Nicholas A Ballasy (@NicholasBallasy) July 23, 2026

Why So Much Secrecy?

The charitable explanation is straightforward. McConnell is 84 and has long said he prefers to keep his medical issues private. His doctors continue to emphasize physical therapy and mobility, while his staff insists he’s still conducting Senate business behind the scenes. Friends and colleagues say they’ve spoken with him.

The more political explanation is equally obvious. The moment it becomes clear McConnell cannot return, the conversation immediately shifts to resignation, succession, and control of a Senate seat. Keeping information tightly controlled also keeps that political pressure at bay.

After Sen. Rand Paul said Gov. Andy Beshear’s ultimatum regarding Sen. McConnell’s health was a stunt to “appear relevant,” Beshear responds: pic.twitter.com/qUHRCLQh4B

— Kaitlan Collins (@kaitlancollins) July 29, 2026

What Happens To McConnell’s Seat

Here is some food for thought, or fuel for your conspiracy. In Kentucky, if the Senate seat becomes vacant due to death, resignation, or expulsion, the governor can no longer appoint a replacement. Instead, the governor must call a special election, and the seat remains vacant until voters choose a new senator.

That raises a couple of obvious questions. First, why would anyone be afraid of a special election? Yes, Governor Andy Beshear is a Democrat, but he wouldn’t get to handpick a successor. Kentucky voters would decide.

Second, is there a political calculation behind the limited information about McConnell’s condition? Some have wondered whether keeping his status uncertain could affect who decides to jump into the race, including Representative Thomas Massie. There’s no evidence that this is what’s happening, but when information is scarce, people tend to fill in the blanks themselves.

But I digress.

People are entitled to reasonable answers about whether their senator can still serve or if he’s even still alive! They’re also entitled to expect that those answers come without a bit of theatrical performances or silent staffers.

This story doesn’t need more rumors. It needs more transparency. A brief video statement from McConnell himself would probably end most of the speculation overnight. Until then, don’t be surprised if the questions keep getting louder.

Of course the malignant little troll went that route. The coward just had to invoke the 5th. Fauci thinks he won by using this gambit during today’s hearing.

Dr. Anthony Fauci accused Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., of carrying out a “slanderous” campaign against him, going on to invoke the Fifth Amendment during his opening statement at the Senate on Wednesday.

“The only conclusion I can reach is that the sole reason is to get me to say something, anything that could vindicate [Paul’s] repeated, public pledges that I end up, in his words, quote ‘behind bars,’ unquote,” Fauci said.

“Therefore, although it pains me to do so, because of the respect I have for the legislative branch of government and my decades-long career in government, under the advice of my attorneys, I will invoke my right under the 5th Amendment of the Constitution to refrain from answering your questions. Thank you,” Fauci said.

“Slanderous?” Oh really now? We are now supposed to believe the diary entrees that Fauci wrote on government computers are what? Being taken out of context? Are being cherry-picked to make Fauci look bad? Are going to be used as a smear campaign against him?

That’s what some liberals want you to believe. Behold Kerry Kennedy.

Mum admired you, Dr. Fauci, and considered you a hero, as do I.

Excerpt from Dr. Fauci's diary: "I received a call from Ethel and Kerry Kennedy explicitly inviting (me) up to Hyannisport for 4th of July weekend. They were so nice over the phone. They said that they loved and… pic.twitter.com/18pOH8ccF0
— Kerry Kennedy (@KerryKennedyRFK) July 28, 2026

I tell you, the willful blindness of many is still prevalent.

The fact is, Fauci’s diaries clearly show a malignant narcissist obsessed with his own image and thoroughly enjoying the attention he’s getting throughout the Covid pandemic response. As it turns out, he’s been this way for decades.

In baseball (and I presume other sports), there was a saying that you aren’t supposed to read your own press clippings.

This is because allowing the praise to get to your head ultimately is bad for future performance.

Fauci not only read his own press clippings, he lived for… https://t.co/X2G9InAC7X
— Ron DeSantis (@RonDeSantis) July 28, 2026

But now that his diaries written on government devices have been made public, Fauci is exposed. As I noted here, Fauci not only KNEW from the outset that Covid wasn’t the danger that he was insisting it was during TV spots and the Covid press briefings, he unequivocally made clear that the virus came from a lab accident.

The Washington Post and the New York Times aren’t telling anyone about that. Instead, they’ve been trying to paint even more lipstick on the pig.

Perhaps surprisingly, both the New York Times and the Washington Post have now published articles on the Fauci diaries. Unsurprisingly, both are complete whitewashes. They sanitize his record and reduce the criticism to the suggestion that he may have been a little too narcissistic.

Neither outlet confronts the diaries’ central revelation, which is that Fauci repeatedly said one thing in private and another in public. That applies to the possibility of a laboratory origin, the supposed role of the Wuhan seafood market, the Wuhan lab’s extraordinarily dangerous gain-of-function research, the infection fatality rate, dissenting scientists such as Jay Bhattacharya, and much more.

This was their chance to admit that they were wrong to trust Fauci, that he was a charlatan, and that they had failed their readers by acting as establishment propaganda outlets rather than journalists. They could even have blamed Fauci and washed their own hands of the entire scandal.

But they cannot bring themselves to do even that.

Nope. Instead, the New York Times prints this garbage.

More than 1,100 pages long and dating from 2019 to 2022, Dr. Fauci’s diary reads like a black comedy of manners in which a 79-year-old social-climbing scientist becomes the face of the government’s response to a pandemic and then the toast of the town — the toast of this town. As the death toll rises, so too does the doctor’s status and self-regard. He falls in with a fast crowd and becomes consumed by his own image.

It’s like Thackeray’s Vanity Fair crossed with The Plague by Camus.

~Snip

But there were other Americans who became disillusioned with Dr. Fauci, his methods, his advice and his media ubiquity. To anyone who blamed him for school closures, lockdowns, vaccine mandates they disagreed with and more, the diary entries have come as vindication of the suspicions they held about the character of this man they fault. He was having fun.

No you jackasses. It wasn’t about the fact that his diaries show he was thoroughly enjoying his celebrity status and having fun little dinner parties with CNN’s Jake Tapper.

Recall where we were in 2020/2021: Graduations cancelled. Funerals capped at ten, then banned. A school year gone, then most of another. Weddings postponed twice & held in backyards. Parents who died alone because the guidance said no visitors to nursing homes. On & on & on it… pic.twitter.com/KXAJWhxKAT
— Tom Elliott (@tomselliott) July 29, 2026

It was about the fact that Fauci was the face of the lockdown protocols that resulted in:

Schools locked down for over a year

Band kids playing their instruments through masks

People dying alone in hospitals or nursing homes

Surfers being arrested for surfing… alone

Teachers doing lockdown dances to …keep the schools closed

George Floyd riots and his multiple funerals were fine but attending the funeral of one’s father, mother, or grandparent was strictly verboten

I stood outside and basically watched my grandmother die through a window. Yet I could waltz right in after she died to say goodbye. I’ll never forget what they did. I still have the note my kids made to put on the window. Fauci should be in prison for life at the very least. pic.twitter.com/K2VeKWuq9E
— Esk (@Esk_58) July 27, 2026

Yes, that. One thousand percent! The cruelty of the lockdowns led by and promoted by Anthony Fauci and others cannot be ignored, excused, or erased. In fact, even some on the left are now realizing the truth.

Fauci KNOWS what he did was malicious and corrupt. He was enjoying his celebrity status and preening before the pandering media while privately detailing the fact that he knew this virus wasn’t as dangerous as it seems.

And so, this morning, the cowardly little troll pleads the Fifth.

SCOTUS Brown v. Walker (1896). It also does not allow 5th Amendment protection to continue.
Does Fauci pleading the Fifth over even a stupid folder open the door to dumping his pardon? It could be. We will have to see.

Bring on Mamdani’s warmth of collectivism! New Yorkers are not happy. They thought they were getting the Socialist utopia they were longing for-with free transportation, free supermarkets, free daycare for their kids and more Mamdani handouts until…

It was revealed to them that they would also be responsible for New York State’s new pied-à-terre tax.

Longtime residents — some who have called the Big Apple home for decades and own a single abode in the city — told The Post they were shocked…”

(Shocked. SHOCKED, I tell you…)

…”to get hit with five-figure tax bills they believe were mistakenly mailed out, and are now being forced to navigate a bureaucratic labyrinth to prove it.”-The New York Post

Mistakenly mailed? Nah. A bureaucratic labyrinth? Absolutely!

The tax is meant to apply to one-to-3 family homes worth at least $5 million and co-ops and condominiums valued at $1 million or more — that are unoccupied, non-primary residences, according to the legislation approved by Albany lawmakers and Gov. Kathy Hochul this spring.”-The NY Post

He did want to tax the rich, after all.

Whoever’s behind this, who I can only assume is the mayor, didn’t take the 30 seconds to research. Is this a witch hunt? As a faithful New Yorker since 1972, I find it not only insulting but painful. Is anybody paying any attention, or any thinking, or two minutes of research. Just look me up!”-Karen Young

Young is a permanent resident who lives in a Brownstone on the Upper West Side. She is president and founder of New York and Paris-based beauty marketing company The Young Group.

I think it’s unfair to pick on people, and I don’t know how they’re going to police that I think it’s very foolish.

I pay condo fees, I pay real estate taxes … I go out and eat, I go to the theater, I go to movies, I spend money everywhere, I buy stuff. I mean, I am a profit center.” -Diane Francis

Diane Francis is a Canadian journalist who lives in New York part time. I will spare Diane. She did say Trump would be bad for Canada once, but not as bad as Justin Trudeau.

And for them to punish me as though I’m some kind of a problem, when in actual fact I’m not a problem, I’m a benefit to the city, is beneath the intelligence that most New Yorkers have.”-Diane Francis

No one ever said they were voting for intelligence now, did they?

At this point, residents have to go through the painstaking process of proving the residency being taxed is indeed, a full-time one or else, get hit with a payment. According to Karen Young, the NYC Department of Finance website is a surrealistic nightmare.

It’s a cumbersome process to prove that I’m a primary resident, which just seems absurd. My jury summons come here, I pay my taxes from here, my utilities.”-Karen Young

Which should be enough to prove residency, one would think. But, think again…

Forcing longtime residents to justify how long they’ve lived in the city has echoes of more repressive regimes.

It feels like a command-and-control type government like Cuba or China. They say, and they are going to come and take it if you don’t comply. There’s a sort of unspoken threat.”-NYC Resident, Andy Arons

Like Cuba or China, eh? Mr. Arons, there is no accident there, I assure you. But this is what New Yorkers voted for. To be doxxed. To be sent a hefty bill. Clean parks and city streets have to come from somewhere, right? But, we all know that clean parks and city streets won’t be happening, either. Just bloated funds lining bureaucrat’s pockets.

Get ready to sell, New Yorkers. And if you voted for this, know your votes have consequences. If you thought you saw lots of businesses leaving The Big Apple after Zohran Mamdani was elected, I have a newsflash for you. He’s not done turning the greatest city on Earth into a third-world cesspool just yet. In fact, he’s only just begun.

Michigan Senate Democrat candidate Abdul El-Sayed was in a debate with opponent Haley Stevens. When you have nothing, you try to confuse everyone with your razzle-dazzle. El-Sayed was asked by the moderator about a comment he had made during a prior Zoom call. During that call, El-Sayed said that he would like to see Senator John Fetterman, of Pennsylvania, with his ogre head on a pike. What a charmer the Michigan candidate is.

That comment about the ogre head on a pike was a result of bad manners and an inability to respect anyone else Democrat or Republican. This is from X

Abdul El-Sayed just doubled down on some of the ugliest rhetoric in this primary.

In a leaked Zoom call with donors, the Michigan Democratic Senate candidate said:
“If I win … well y’all came at me so now I get to come at you, and you know, primarying people like John…

In this case, Abdul El-Sayed wears an odd Zohran Mamdani-smirk for the whole 55 seconds of that post. Here is more from the New York Post:

Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed on Monday defended a disparaging remark he made about Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) in the final debate before next week’s primary.

El-Sayed, who has sharply criticized Israel throughout his primary race against Rep. Haley Stevens (D-Mich), was asked during the debate about comments he made during a Zoom meeting where he referred to Fetterman – an outspoken supporter of the Jewish state – as an “ogre” that he would like to see put “on a pike.”

“So many people took offense to that,” moderator Roop Raj, of Fox 2 News in Detroit, pointed out, “and it really pointed to the bigger question about the tone and tenor that you’ve been accused of having in this campaign.”

El-Sayed has the same type smirk and “better than you” attitude as New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani. More from the NY Post:

“Do you regret any of the comments that you’ve made?” Raj asked, giving El-Sayed a chance to apologize for the barb.

Being an America-hating Islamist means never having to say you are sorry. Head on pike? More:

The former public health official responded by doubling down on his criticism of the Pennsylvania Democrat.

“I was referring to a guy named John Fetterman, who’s a senator from Pennsylvania who has done terrible things,” El-Sayed said.

“He got elected on a set of values and is now completely throwing those values in the mud,” the Senate hopeful continued.

“And I do think it’s important for any senator in Michigan to have a relationship with folks who are in the US Senate, and if those folks are not actually acting in accordance with what they got elected on, I think it’s important for all of us to have an honest opinion about what we’re going to do to make sure that our Senate looks like the people it represents.”

During the Zoom call with Democratic donors, audio of which was obtained by Politico, El-Sayed argued that Fetterman should face a primary challenge in 2028 and, if successful, it would serve as a warning to Democrats who don’t tow the party line.

“Primarying people like John Fetterman, I have no problem to do that,” he said on the call. “Ideally you put one ogre on a pike, and then everyone else gets the message, and all of a sudden starts to sound a lot different.” “I was referring to a guy named John Fetterman, who’s a senator from Pennsylvania who has done terrible things,” El-Sayed said.

First of all, El-Sayed was appointed as a Michigan health official. He has, not yet, held any elected position in Michigan. My dear friend Abdul is in NO position to tell the people of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania anything. He especially needs to keep his mouth shut about Senator John Fetterman. Sorry, not sorry.

According to Mr. El-Sayed, Senator Fetterman has done “terrible things”. We want to know what Mr. El-Sayed’s definition of “terrible things” is. Senator Fetterman responded:

There’s a difference between government keeping public records and government creating a political target list, and Mayor Zohran Mamdani erased that distinction when his administration published a searchable database of names and addresses tied to his proposed pied-à-terre tax.

Given his repeated calls for supporters to take to the streets, this wasn’t transparency. It was reckless, self-serving doxxing. Yes, you’re damn skippy I’m linking the two together.

DOMESTIC TERRORISM: “I think the bedrocks of our city is protest.” New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani says New Yorkers should take to the streets when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visits for the U.N. General Assembly this September.

Public Records Aren’t The Problem

Let’s get one thing out of the way because it’s the limp defense everyone keeps using. Yes, property records are public and have been for years, and City Hall claims publishing the property roll is required under state law. Nobody is arguing that deeds, tax records, or ownership information should suddenly become secret.

The issue is what this mayor chose to do with that information: gathering it into one searchable database that anyone can browse in seconds. One requires effort; the other practically invites people to go hunting. That’s not the same thing; it’s doxxing with the city’s seal of approval.

When Zohran Mamdani isn’t meeting with the Muslim American Society (MAS), an organization critics have linked to the Muslim Brotherhood, or cutting ribbons on government-run grocery stores, he’s apparently compiling searchable lists of people he’s spent months criticizing and making the enemy.

Context Is Everything

Mamdani has made taxing wealthy property owners one of the defining obsessions of his administration. He filmed a campaign-style video outside billionaire Ken Griffin’s Manhattan residence to promote his tax proposal.

When you spend months painting a group as the enemy and then hand the public an easy tool to identify and locate members of that group, people are right to ask whether you’ve exercised any judgment at all.

We Don’t Live In The Same Country We Did Ten Years Ago

Political violence is no longer something Americans can dismiss. We’ve seen attacks on elected officials, judges, businesses, and federal buildings. We’ve watched protesters show up outside private homes. We’ve seen people convince themselves they’re not targeting a person at all, but a symbol of something they hate.

Take Luigi Mangione, for example. He’s facing state and federal trials for UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson’s murder. All because Thompson supposedly represented everything wrong with the healthcare system. Whether that case ends in a conviction is irrelevant. The point is that once people stop seeing individuals and start seeing symbols, bad things follow.

Responsible public officials should grasp that basic reality. This database feels deliberately unnecessary. Even if ninety-nine percent of people never misuse it, government should be thinking about the one percent who might. Public officials have a responsibility to lower the temperature, not make it easier for the most extreme people to act on their anger.

But that’s not what Mamdani is all about. He doesn’t want to lower the temperature; he wants to ignite it.

Another List For Mamdani

Here’s another list Mayor Mamdani might want to spend some time looking at. It’s not a searchable database of property owners.

It’s the growing list of more than 300 family members of 9/11 victims who don’t want him attending this year’s memorial ceremony at Ground Zero.

Maybe before City Hall starts organizing lists of New Yorkers to tax, the mayor should ask why so many families of those murdered on September 11 believe he shouldn’t be standing beside them on one of the most sacred days in this city’s history.

Te 9/11 families are making a moral judgment. The property database is something colder.

Mamdani’s defenders will keep insisting the records were already public. That misses the point. Public records sitting in a file are one thing. A mayor who identifies a class of citizens as the enemy, and let’s be clear, that is exactly what he’s done, then hands the public a searchable list of their names and homes is something else entirely.

This is doxxing with the full power of City Hall behind it. I hope New Yorkers are happy with their decision to elect a communist mayor. The database is not a bug in his approach. It’s the feature.

Dr. Fauci lied, people died, as the story goes. Anthony Fauci went on to be the “face of the pandemic”, revered by politicians, journalists and world citizens as the authority on the COVID response.

He wrote a memoir. His face was on freaking t-shirts. People were utterly amazed by his amazeballs “science”. But there sure was science behind Fauci’s strategy all along. Get famous. Make millions. Retire. Fade into the woodwork and hope people don’t notice too much.

But this detestable, puppy-killer, pathetic little man also caused irreparable damage in the wake of his hunger for relevance and fame. He said it wasn’t about the fame. It was all about the “science”. He wanted to “save lives”. It was not about him at all. Such a servant leader is Anthony Fauci.

Enter The Fauci Diaries, “meticulous notes” that comprised Fauci’s “own historical record containing almost daily entries” during the COVID-19 pandemic and OOOF. Our Nina highlighted some revelations behind these entries a couple of days back. But, let me tell you, if narcissist had a picture of a person next to its definition in Merriam-Webster, well, you be the judge. Let’s unpack a few more.

Entry from March 15, 2020:

BIG DAY!

I spoke with Bill de Blasio (Mayor – NYC) and convinced him based on what I was saying publicly and my conversation tonight to close the NYC schools (he had already decided based on what I was saying on TV).”

I had a similar call with Ann O’Leary, the [Chief of Staff] of Gov. Gavin Newsom of California. Ann said that based on my TV appearances today and yesterday, the Governor has decided to close the schools in California as well as the bars and restaurants.”-Dr. Anthony Fauci

Lots of “I’s” in these statements. Bill de Blasio not only shuttered schools but he also was responsible, with New York Governor, Andrew Cuomo, for many elderly people dying alone and away from their loved ones. They botched that up real good. And, Gavin Newsom? We all know about his kids attending private schools and his French Laundry escapades.

My mother who had dementia was in rehab while Covid began. I could not go into see her for months and she did not understand. It broke my heart to watch them dressed head to toe restrain her when all she wanted was to have me hug her and tell her she was not in trouble for…

— America First (@leavinAtrail) July 27, 2026

Despite boasting in private about shuttering schools and bars and restaurants, Fauci went on to openly deny he suggested doing either, despite further advising lawmakers to shut everything down.

But wait. There’s more communication to Bill de Blasio:

Also, had phone call with [Mayor] de Blasio who wants to go to ‘shelter in place for the entire city.[‘] He is asking my advice since Gov. Cuomo is pushing back. I advised DeBlasio [sic] to go ahead and do it. I will try to speak with Cuomo.”-Anthony Fauci

Then, there was the entry from May 8, 2020, when (GASP) COVID hit the White House:

COVID hits The White House! Yesterday, it was revealed that the personal valet of the POTUS tested positive for Sars-CoV-2. However, today it was noted that Katie Miller tested positive. She was negative yesterday and positive X2 today!

She had sxs (sic) in the Sit room yesterday and sat next to Steve Hahn and behind Azar. I was on the other side of the room from her, but she was coughing in the room. She sat next to Olivia Troye when she was coughing and, in the afternoon, yesterday, Olivia sat right next to me in the Ward Room of the West Wing for 45 minutes. In the room were Deb Birx, Steve Hahn, Bob Redfield, Tyler Ann, Seema Verma.

I spent much time on phone this evening advising Katie and Steve Miller as to what they should do. She is 10 weeks pregnant. I advised that Steve must move out of the house into a hotel; he still has to self-isolate for 14 days. If he stays in the house, whether or not he gets infected, he still must self-isolate for 14 days after Katies (sic) tests negative. His clock will start after he separates from Katie and so he should start the clock now.”-Anthony Fauci

Katie and Stephen Miller both lived to tell the tale, though, I wish Mrs. Miller would have been sitting next to Fauci and would have coughed and snotted all over him.

While you were forced to let your grandparents and loved ones die alone in hospitals and nursing homes – or be away from your wife while she gave birth – members of the media were dining with Dr. Fauci. They knew there was a double standard and didn't care.

— Katie Pavlich (@KatiePavlich) July 27, 2026

Perhaps the most disturbing of Dr. Fauci’s entries is not the recommendations or observations but the sheer excitement and obsession with himself. Why all the exclamation points when COVID Hits The White House! (?) She was negative yesterday and positive X2 today! It’s almost as if this sicko was celebrating. And, we cannot neglect his entries on the fawning media:

April 7, 2020:

Press still hot and heavy about me. Multiple stories per day directly or indirectly involving me.”-Anthony Fauci

I, I, I. Me, me, me.

May 21, 2020:

National and international fame is explosive and really unimaginable”-Anthony Fauci

Fauci went on to say that it was “not hyperbole” to say he was “the most famous and talked about person in the country.”

He threw out first pitch at a Washington Nationals game. He was invited to be a guest on Dancing With the Stars. He was a critic of the Trump White House who tried to restrict his appearances but Trump was “enamored with him”.

And, now the legacy media, apparently, has their head in the sand!

ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN and MS NOW ignore Fauci diary entries that reveal fixation on fame during COVIDhttps://t.co/Jh8zmGrnfb

— DougieC (@DougieCUSA) July 27, 2026

Of course, they are sticking their heads in the sand, selectively reporting.

Never forget pic.twitter.com/rpasinT6Jy

I’ve been reading the remarks on some of these sites and forums that have shared this information regarding the Fauci Diaries. People furious because they were unable to be with a dying parent, spouse or other blood relative during lockdowns. Kids locked in an attic for ten days or more, away from family members because they had COVID-food and drink and meds left at the freaking door. Students who had bright futures who became mentally, vocationally, educationally lost or, ultimately, ended their lives. Businesses shuttered. The jab that cost people their jobs. Relationships FUBAR and shattered.

All while this narcissistic POS talked about media coverage not being hyperbole. About being the “most famous person (like) ever”. About magazine shoots, flattering articles and rising fame. About TV appearances. About adoration. A cautionary tale for anyone who wants fame without truth. Anthony Fauci may still be able to charge $75,000 for a university speaking engagement. He may have gotten his preemptive pardon here on this Earth but, he will ultimately have to answer to a Higher Power someday. In the meantime, he’ll stay healthy for a while here and reap the benefits. Pass him the Ivermectin.

Senate Majority Leader John Thune (SD) has tap danced long enough fighting President Trump and futzing about the Save America Act. The August Recess is upon the Legislative Branch, and when the lawmakers get back, Thune will say there are enough days to pass it. Time to do the business or get off of the pot. We would prefer that Thune passed the pot to someone with a working intestinal tract. Or, he could just get gone.

We were never fond of Nancy Pelosi and have thought unkind thoughts about her often. You have to admit that as Speaker she kept everyone in line. She was a HUGE money raiser. That’s probably part of it. Except that John Thune is considered a prolific money raiser. What body part isn’t he swinging? Why can’t or won’t he try to get the SAVE America Act passed?

THUNE JUST SAID THE QUIET PART OUT LOUD

President Trump wants the SAVE America Act passed.

Trump wants the filibuster gone if that’s what it takes.

John Thune’s answer? “No.”

FIRE JOHN THUNE.

— Gunther Eagleman (@GuntherEagleman) July 27, 2026

Now, he won’t consider cancelling the August Recess. According to The Hill:

Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.) on Monday reacted coolly to President Trump’s demand for the chamber to cancel its five-week August recess to debate the SAVE America Act, telling reporters he’s willing to do so if there’s a chance of a successful outcome but warning of wasting senators’ time with unproductive procedural votes.

Thune also acknowledged that some GOP colleagues — such as Sens. Susan Collin (Maine), Dan Sullivan (Alaska) and Jon Husted (Ohio) — could benefit from returning home to campaign ahead of the Nov. 3 election.

“Ahhh, do you guys want to be here in August? What do you think?” Thune quipped to the Capitol press corps as he walked into the Senate on Monday afternoon, implying that most denizens of Congress’s historic halls are ready for a recess after months of grueling session.

I am no expert, but I was not aware that the press corps got a vote on the Republican legislative agenda. What a douche! No wonder Thune can’t push through legislation. More:

Thune then noted that the Senate has debated the election reform bill — the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE America) Act — which would require people to show proof of citizenship when registering to vote and photo identification to vote, for weeks already this year without a winning result.

“If I thought there was a path for getting a result, I’m all for it. I’m a cosponsor of the SAVE Act. We voted on it two, three, four, five times already. We had it up on the floor for an extended period of time,” he said.

“Show me how this ends. What’s the picture of victory at the end?” he said.

Several Republican senators, including Mike Lee (Utah) and Rick Scott (Fla.), say they will object to adjourning the Senate for the August recess unless the SAVE America Act is passed, but those objections could be overridden if 60 senators vote to leave town.

Back to the spineless, intestineless and gormless John Thune:

“We’re going to have some conversations over the course of the next couple of days,” he said. “If somebody can show me how we get an outcome, how we get a result, how we get an answer to this, I’m all for it.

“But if we’re going to be sitting here in endless quorum calls, I don’t know if that’s in anybody’s best interest,” he added, warning of the prospect of spending hours and hours next month reading through the Senate’s roster of names while the floor sits empty.

Thune also pointed out that colleagues facing tough races need to get home to campaign to keep the Senate in Republican control.

The Senators MUST get reelected so that they can continue to not pass legislation that 80% of America supports. Sounds like a plan to me.

John Thune was on with Sean Hannity (ugh to them both) last night. Two ways to pass the SAVE America Act through Reconciliation or the Talking Filibuster. Thune thinks the Dems are salivating for the Talking Filibuster.

JUST IN: Senate Majority Leader John Thune says the SAVE America Act likely needs to be passed under RECONCILIATION — 50 votes + JD Vance — instead of the talking filibuster

"We have a possibility through budget reconciliation."

"The problem we have is we have no Democrats,… pic.twitter.com/xH0b1Uf8Dk

President Trump HAS prioritized the SAVE America Act. More from The Hill:

Trump on Monday demanded that Thune keep the Senate in session through August to force debate and votes on the SAVE America Act, which would need 60 votes to pass.

So far, not a single Democrat has voted for the legislation and several Republicans, including Sens. Lisa Murkowski (Alaska), Thom Tillis (N.C.) and Mitch McConnell (Ky.) have also voted against it.

“John Thune should not allow the United States Senate to ‘leave town’ until it passes The Save America Act or, far better still, TERMINATES THE FILIBUSTER, where Republicans can then quickly pass everything they ever dreamed of, including a full and deep throated SAVE AMERICA ACT, the Budget, and the ever looming Debt Ceiling disaster, 1929!” Trump posted on Truth Social.

Oh, just get on with this. My Congressman Tim Burchett has voted for the SAVE Act in the House over and over. Well done, you. He may grow up to be a Senator someday.

It’s Senators Ma’am. I am in the House. I have voted to pass the SAVE AMERICA ACT multiple times. https://t.co/vSECZ3a27K

— Tim Burchett (@timburchett) July 27, 2026

Then, he can vote against John Thune. Huzzah!

I don’t know what meds James Carville is taking right now, but his solution to the train wreck that is the DNC is eminently mockable! According to the “Ragin’ Cajun,” David Hogg is the one who will save the DNC’s bacon. Yes, really.

Before I get to the Hoggster, let’s recap the DNC train wreck and add new information courtesy of the NY Times performing actual journalism.

As I wrote the other day, the DNC held an emergency meeting earlier this summer. A meeting that came with a mandatory NDA requirement.

Well, now we are finding out the rest of the story.

The Democratic Party is so short on cash that leaders at its headquarters have undertaken a new gambit to mask the severity of the problems: asking vendors not to send bills until after the midterm elections.

The bookkeeping maneuver, which was described by three people briefed on it, is the latest sign of financial duress for the Democratic National Committee and its embattled leader as money troubles threaten to undercut Democratic momentum with 100 days until the midterms.

That’s …quite the ask isn’t it? Begging vendors to pony up their time, resources, employees, and money for the DNC and they …MIGHT get paid after the mid-terms?

So the venders have to gamble on them winning the midterms and somehow being able to find the money they owe? That sounds like a bad plan but if the DNC can’t convince anyone to donate to them even with Trump in office they’re not going to suddenly find money after the midterms. https://t.co/Djd1ALbxy5
— takashi I hate everything yamamoto (@drunkenalpaca) July 27, 2026

Keep in mind, this is the DNC that helped Kamala burn through over $1 BILLION dollars in less than four months and is still paying down that debt.

That and the drying up of donor funding is what led to June’s emergency NDA meeting. DNC Chair Ken Martin is evidently getting more isolated and, at one point was so frustrated, he threw his phone at someone.

Democrats, elected and donors, aren’t letting the burial of the 2024 autopsy go. I do have to laugh that Kamala is one of those who wants it public. We ALL know she figures prominently in that particular train wreck.

Martin even penned a major SubStack essay that laughably claimed the DNC was doing just fine financially.

The current DNC has raised the most money of any DNC without the White House in the 198-year history of the Democratic Party.

Through June 2026, this DNC reported total receipts of more than $207 million. During the comparable 18-month period of the last Trump-era cycle, when Democrats were also out of the White House and rebuilding toward a midterm election, the DNC reported $109 million. That means the current DNC has reported total receipts of nearly $100 million more – roughly 90 percent more – than the most relevant historical comparison.

The DNC raised, from grassroots donors (under $10,000) and major gift donors (over $10,000), $154.8 million through June 2026, compared with $95.2 million over the comparable 18-month period in 2017–2018. That is a nearly $60 million advantage—approximately 63% more.

The monthly fundraising pace tells the same story. The current DNC is averaging about $8.6 million per month, compared with about $5.3 million per month during the comparable period. That is roughly $3.3 million more each month, or about 62% higher.

Oh? Oh really? If the DNC is raking in the bacon, how come they are begging vendors to hold off on their invoicing until after the mid-terms? If they really do have that much cash, how come they put a mortgage on the DNC headquarters?

The Democratic National Committee put its physical headquarters up for collateral last year in order to obtain a $15 million line of credit to help invest in off-year elections, according to D.C. deed records not previously reported.

The building, located in Southeast Washington and partially owned by the DNC, has been used as collateral in the past, including in other election cycles. That the DNC had to do so again ahead of the 2026 elections to obtain its biggest-ever off-year loan raised concerns among some members that it was further evidence of its intensifying financial strain.

A $15 million dollar line of credit, and over $700,000 in interest on that line of credit, and they STILL can’t pay their vendors??

The contrast between the DNC and the RNC in terms of funding is glaring.

Checking in on Democrat fundraising this cycle so far:

CLF has $52 million more COH than HMP.

The DNC is worth -$2.2 million dollars while the RNC has $128.5 million COH.

The NRSC has $14.9 million more COH the DSCC.

And the NRCC has $13.7 million more COH than the DCCC.… https://t.co/5PV1yQamz7 pic.twitter.com/T7QHEvy0KN
— Steve Guest (@SteveGuest) July 21, 2026

The DNC debt load is probably greater than that. Especially when one factors in which donors are likely sitting this one out and why.

Jewish donors account for 50% of the donations that fuel the Democratic Party and its candidates. If you think the anti-Israel and antisemitic rhetoric coming from the socialist entryists in the party isn’t making donors sit back this cycle, you’re wrong. https://t.co/yxGGOQRll9
— Joe Roberts (@Joe_Roberts01) July 27, 2026

When you have prominent Democrats along with the DNC staying silent on the increasing anti-Semitism and embracing the DSA who are literally advocating for the overthrow of this country, you can darned well bet many are sitting this one out.

Which leads me to James Carville and his solution for this mess. David Hogg could be the savior of the DNC.

And at the end of the day, who cares? I mean, maybe they want to try to get themselves together, some of them are lovely people…there’s Ken Martin. Maybe they ought to figure out, maybe they could be somewhat relevant. I have no idea. If David Hogg wants to take it over, then, I ain’t stoping you — go ahead, man, I don’t really care. And I don’t think at the end of the day, well, it might be fine people —I know some of them are not particularly determined.

David Hogg? The one who couldn’t even run a successful business? The one Carville blasted just a year ago? The one who got dumped from the DNC and thought Jasmine Crockett was da bomb diggity?

Conservatives can argue about America’s relationship with Israel all day long. Should we keep sending them foreign aid? Scale back the military stuff overseas? Does “America First” mean we start pulling back from longtime allies? Republicans don’t all have to agree on that, and that’s fine.

What’s not fine is treating every policy disagreement like an act of treason. And that’s exactly where Tucker Carlson has landed.

Tucker Calson calls for Trump and all elected officials pushing for American-Israeli military merge via the NDAA to face Nuremberg-style treason charges.pic.twitter.com/iLAF5y6jTd

Over the past few weeks, he’s gone from criticizing Trump over Israel to accusing him of betraying the United States because of Section 219 of the 2027 National Defense Authorization Act. Somewhere along the way he started floating treason trials and even brought up Nuremberg. That’s a pretty big leap over a defense bill.

Tucker Skips A Few Steps

Tucker’s argument is that Republicans have abandoned America First, put Israel ahead of the U.S., and stopped representing American interests. If he thinks we’ve gotten too close to Israel, he’s free to make that case. If he thinks Section 219 is a bad policy, he can make that argument too.

But that’s not really what Tucker is interested in. He’d rather proclaim absurdities. His whole argument starts to fall apart when he immediately calls for Trump to be tried for treason.

It’s been coming for a while, but this week, the once-conservative firebrand Tucker Carlson has doubled down on a version of reality that would make Iran’s mullahs blush. Carlson used an appearance on the East Meets West with Olga and Tara podcast to unload on a provision in the fiscal year 2027 National Defense Authorization Act that would expand defense-technology cooperation between the United States and Israel. His verdict? Lawmakers who back the measure are acting against America’s own interests, effectively merging our nations’ militaries. – PJ Media

What Section 219 Actually Does

I’m seeing a lot of videos and posts claiming Section 219 of the new defense bill would “merge” the U.S. military with Israel’s. That’s not what the bill says.

Section 219 creates a coordination role inside the Pentagon. It tells the Defense Secretary to pick one official whose job is to oversee joint work with Israel on defense technology. That includes missile defense, drones, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and other weapons research. The goal is to expand existing cooperation on research, testing, and production of military technology.

The text of Section 219 is easy to find. Here’s the link. Scroll down to Section 219 and read it for yourself instead of relying on someone else’s interpretation.

Yes, the bill uses the word integration. It talks about integrating jointly developed technologies and capabilities into defense programs, not integrating the United States and Israel into a single military. Common sense truly has left the building.

It does not combine the two militaries under one command. It does not put Israeli officers in charge of U.S. forces. It does not give Israel control over the Pentagon or U.S. defense policy. Those claims go far beyond the actual text of the bill.

People can still argue that deeper technology cooperation is a bad idea or that it gives Israel too much influence. That’s a fair policy debate. But calling it a full merger of the two militaries is simply not accurate.

Those are Tucker’s conclusions.

FYI, here is where we stand with this: The House passed the 2027 defense bill with Section 219 still in it. Efforts to remove it never got a vote. The Senate has not passed its version of the bill yet, so nothing is final. The provision is still alive, but it is not law.

Let’s Calm Down

Tucker is free to hate this bill. He’s free to say America should pull back from Israel. He’s even free to call it bad policy. What he’s not free to do is redefine treason just because he lost the argument.

That’s the real problem here. Not the bill. Not the alliance. The willingness to take a policy fight and turn it into a loyalty test. Conservatives used to mock that kind of thinking when the left did it. Now some of them are doing the same thing with a different target.

Debate the policy. Argue the merits. But leave the treason talk for actual traitors.

Iran is currently getting a reprieve from nightly bombing strikes by the American armed forces. Which means it is DEFINITELY the perfect time to start something with… Ukraine?

Yes, you are reading that right. Iran is blaming Ukraine for an attack on an Iranian ship in the Caspian Sea, which is in Iran’s north, but doesn’t touch Ukraine. It does, however, touch Russia – and Ukraine was apparently aiming for cargo shipments going from Iran to Russia.

Iran said the attack left one sailor dead and injured several others. The country’s foreign ministry complained to Ukraine’s chargé d’affaires in Tehran early on Sunday and “conveyed Iran’s strong protest over the ‘hostile and criminal act.’” Iran’s Islamic Republic News Agency reported.

In a post on X highlighting Ukraine’s attacks on distant Russian targets, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Saturday that his country’s forces “also achieved very strong results with long‑range strikes in the Caspian Sea – including vessels used in military cargo shipments involving Iran, as well as a warship.”

Russia has long used Iranian-designed Shahed drones in its war on Ukraine, a weapon that analysts sometimes refer to as “the poor man’s cruise missile.”

But the latest attacks by Ukraine, combined with Saudi military strikes on Iran-backed Houthi targets in Yemen following the rebel group’s attacks on Red Sea shipping in recent days, represent a widening of the Middle East conflict.

Currently, the United States, at President Trump’s direction, is on a break from striking targets in Iran at the moment, after thirteen straight nights of hits in and around the Strait of Hormuz. A story from the New York Times is reporting that the supply of defensive weapons in the Middle East may be the reason why a hold has been called.

President Trump has set aside, at least for now, plans to sharply escalate the American military assault against Iran, with particular concern that intensifying the war could dangerously drain the Pentagon’s already diminished stockpile of Patriot antimissile interceptors and other air defense munitions in the Middle East.

The threat to interceptor stockpiles is one of many considerations that have made a return to major combat operations a hugely risky endeavor, administration officials say. Mr. Trump and his top aides are also uneasy about the prospect of a widening war in the Middle East, the alienation of key Gulf allies who are vulnerable to Iranian attack, a global economic crunch, and growing energy and refugee crises.

The latest turn in Mr. Trump’s handling of the conflict with Iran came after a meeting on Friday with top advisers and senior members of his cabinet, according to two people briefed on the discussion.

First off, who is leaking this to the New York Times? Second, if the defensive missiles are depleted, then maybe we should just hurry up and finish the job already, as Senator John Kennedy has said he told the president.

Kennedy said the US should act quickly to accomplish its war goals as the conflict approaches its sixth month, warning the president that previous daily attacks on Iran are just not working.

“The president likes the daily attacks. He believes that sometimes you have to kill a few chickens to scare the monkeys,” Kennedy told CBS News’ “Meet the Press,” referencing the old Chinese idiom.

“I don’t think that’s going to work with the Iranian leadership,” he added. “These people are more than mildly insane. It’s like dealing with Son of Sam or Charles Manson.”

But the end of the “memorandum of understanding” and the resumption of airstrikes has, according to sources in Iran, created a split between the “elected” civilian officials and the IRGC, who most likely have control of whatever is left of Mojtaba Khamenei.

Iran’s leaders are fighting each other almost as much as they’re battling the West, with some senior politicians scrambling to save US talks while the powerful Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps leans into the renewed war, regional sources told The Post.

With Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei out of public view, there’s no one left to force the rival factions back into line — meaning the future of the conflict may now be decided by a power struggle in Tehran, not by Washington.

The growing divide has exposed what the sources describe as two competing centers of power inside Tehran: civilian leaders trying to preserve a fragile diplomatic track and military hardliners determined to keep up pressure through confrontation.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf want to keep dialogue with the US alive and prevent the fighting from spiraling into another full-scale regional war, the sources said.

But their authority has steadily eroded, one regional source familiar with Iran’s internal dynamics told The Post.

“They can sign [agreements], but they can’t stop the IRGC from acting or parliament from legislating around them,” the person said.

Instead of winning internal political battles, the IRGC has increasingly created “facts on the ground” through military action, the source said, while hardline lawmakers move afterward to enshrine those actions into law.

This is essentially why the MOU ended up collapsing – the civilian leaders would plead for a deal with President Trump, and then made deals that the IRGC had no intention of honoring. And with Mojtaba missing in action, whoever has control of his X account is the one “speaking” for him. And that is probably the IRGC.

Today, as the nations of the world have grown weary of the tyranny and oppression of the US government and the criminal Zionists, who are the destroyers of lives and generations, there remains no path forward except jihad and resistance.

Well, that makes things easier, doesn’t it? The West needs to stop treating Pezeshkian, Araghchi, and Ghalibaf like they have any authority to make Iran cooperate or follow through with agreements. The man in charge is IRGC chief Ahmad Vahidi, and whatever is coming from Mojtaba’s X account probably came straight from his mouth first.

So you would think that Iran would play this attack by Ukraine smartly, and not pick a new fight. Yeah, that’s not how the IRGC or the hardliners think.

The list of those who have miscalculated continues to increase!

“Any attack on Iran always comes with a cost, and that remains true today. The U.S. and Israel are well aware of this,” Ebrahim Azizi, head of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security Commission, said in a post on X.

“Ukraine, too, may soon come to understand that Iran does not let actions go unanswered,” he added, warning that the list of those “who have miscalculated continues to increase.”

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also blamed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for the attack and said earlier Sunday that the incident “cannot go unanswered.”

If Iran decides to escalate by attacking Ukraine, Europe as a whole might have a mental breakdown. They don’t want Iran to go nuclear, but they don’t like President Trump taking action to make sure that doesn’t happen. If Ukraine becomes an Iranian target, what will Europe do? They have supported Ukraine ever since the invasion in 2022 – will they now back off, or will they accept this escalation? It’s a fair and open question, and one Europe would probably like to avoid.
