His monologue was full of crass jokes, some at the expense of President Trump. The lemming audience lapped it up, just as they’ve done with everything that Jimmy Kimmel has spewed. 

Here’s the thing about Jelly Roll’s monologue. It wasn’t about the jokes and the lewd crassness of them. It was about the fact that Jelly Roll went into a very political leftist direction. A very OBVIOUS politically leftist direction. 

A direction that a significant majority of country music lovers do not embrace nor applaud.

Yes, he dared his fans to walk away from him. 

Jelly Roll has revealed why he ridiculed Donald Trump.

The 41-year-old rapper turned country star stunned some in MAGAworld when he used his guest host slot on Jimmy Kimmel Live! this week to trash the president and call him fat.

The “Need a Favor” singer spoke out Thursday on the show about the reactions to his guest-host stint and his appearance at the Grammy Awards in February, when he bagged three awards but then failed to follow the night’s other winners and condemn the actions of ICE and the Trump administration’s mass deportation push.

“A lot of people seem to think these Jimmy Kimmel writers have secretly been pulling the strings and forcing this good old country boy to poke fun at our commander-in-chief,” he said, wearing a Kimmelian suit and a black tie.

“But let’s be real about this, y’all. Do you think I would take orders from some sweaty little dork named Josh? No, I was just telling it like it is, and for some reason, that seemed to freak a lot of people out.

As he explained it, he assumed many people thought he has MAGA, especially since he refused to get political during the Grammys and denounce ICE like other artists did. 

Who knows? Maybe some people did think he was MAGA. In my opinion, at that time, he did the right thing by staying above the political fray. 

Evidently, however, he decided to get all edgy and daring with his stint on Jimmy Kimmel. And now is over-explaining his actions while the media figuratively holds his hand and lectures his fans. 

Another reason his “apology” was not ok, involved the excuses he offered up. 

“I felt that even more this week, just because I told a couple of jokes,” he added. “I was asked to make what I felt at the time was a political stance. I fumbled my words. Looking back, I don’t necessarily regret asking for more time before I spoke. I wish more people took more time before they spoke. But I do wish I had found the words to express my heart just a little bit sooner.”

He said he “was afraid that anything I was going to say was going to be immediately taken as a political statement. And, ironically, by trying so hard not to make a political statement, I became one.”

I can move on past the lewd and crass jokes. I can move on when someone makes an ass of themselves on live tv. But to then sit there, one day later, and claim that he ‘fumbled his words’ is a metric ton of horseshit.

Jelly Roll KNEW the monologue script going in. This wasn’t an off-the-cuff dialogue. He read from a script. And yes, a slam at a sitting president is a type of political statement. 

Compare his Jimmy Kimmel monologue with what he said at the Grammys on February 1st of this year.

One last thing about Jelly Roll’s monologue. The TIMING of it. 

The Jimmy Kimmel Live! team along with Jelly Roll and his management had had hours to absorb the fact that Dolly Parton had died earlier that day. 

A woman who deliberately stayed out of the political arena. A woman who, as we are coming to understand, mentored so many across the country and bluegrass spectrums, influenced many singers across all genres, stepped up to help during major disasters and more. Dolly was a true professional who worked hard, always showed up early, understood her fan base, enjoyed their support, and never EVER took that support for granted. 

They could’ve reworked the opening monologue to address her passing. But they didn’t. In fact, Dolly’s passing wasn’t addressed until the show the next day, and only for about 2 minutes. 

Jelly Roll and the Jimmy Kimmel Live! people had the opportunity to do something very good and they chose to wade in the gutter instead.

The internship is in Hillary’s New York City office, where the lucky applicant will help with research, memos, office management and whatever else needs doing around Clinton World. Pretty standard intern stuff, really. It’s that requirement for a high level of professionalism and discretion that makes you wonder whether anyone in Clinton World stopped to appreciate the words they had just put together.

Bill Lost Intern Privileges

Bill Clinton, meanwhile, is not getting an intern. His office is looking for a “special projects associate,” which is a completely different thing and I am sure nobody involved in writing these job descriptions noticed how much fun they were providing the rest of us.

Bill’s special-projects person will draft meeting agendas, edit briefs, and coordinate activities between his office and the Clinton Foundation. More importantly, this person actually gets paid, somewhere in the neighborhood of $50,000 to $55,000 a year.

For anyone too young to understand why your parents are snickering, Bill Clinton had an affair with 22-year-old White House intern Monica Lewinsky while he was president. What followed included secretly recorded phone calls, a blue dress, DNA evidence, cigars, impeachment, and one of the most embarrassing chapters in presidential history. Those of us who lived through the 1990s do not need a refresher course. We remember.

Which brings us right back to that poor job posting.

Look, “professionalism and discretion” is a perfectly reasonable thing to ask of someone working in a former secretary of state’s office. Nobody is suggesting otherwise. But somebody at the Clinton Foundation had to type the words intern and discretion, presumably with a straight face, hit publish, and somehow never stop to consider what the rest of us were going to do with them.

I would pay good money to get my hands on the Clinton Foundation employee handbook, because you just know there are some oddly specific rules buried in there. Interns must travel in pairs. No blue dresses. Brunettes should probably check with HR before accepting the position. Bill does not supervise the interns, interns do not participate in special projects, and nobody is allowed to ask what the definition of is is.

You laugh, but somewhere in Clinton World there may be a three-ring binder thicker than a phone book explaining all of this.

The ⁠message was published on Khamenei’s Telegram account for Islamic Unity Week, which marks the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad.

It called for Muslim unity, cooperation in various fields and mutual defense, saying anyone who ⁠creates divisions among Muslims, “knowingly or unknowingly,” ​helps ⁠Islam’s enemies.

It asked whether Palestinians would have been left “so helpless” if Muslims had been united.

His call for unity echoes a statement he made ‌on Friday to Iranians, when he said ‌he had banned actions that harm social cohesion and urged authorities to avoid “discouraging statements” that weaken national and public morale.

Khamenei specifically asked Gulf Arab rulers ⁠whether “rogues without identity” would have dared to covet their lands and possessions if the peoples and governments of the Gulf had been “united under the flag of Islam.”

Since the 1979 Islamic Revolution, Gulf Arab monarchies have viewed Iran’s revolutionary ideology, including its anti-monarchic rhetoric and regional influence, as a threat to their ‌political systems.

During the present conflict, Tehran has struck ​U.S. military facilities as well as other infrastructure in ‌Gulf states, underscoring the tensions ⁠between Tehran and its Gulf neighbors.

“My emphatic and repeated recommendation ⁠to the rulers of Islamic countries, especially the countries of West Asia ‌and the Gulf, is ​to identify your real enemy, ‌understand his plan and confront it,” ​Khamenei said.

Let’s just say that none of the Islamic countries are exactly jumping to join in with Iran at the moment. Which is probably why Iran cooked up a new way to mine the Strait of Hormuz again. So the United States decided to take out some missile launchers in a pre-emptive strike on Sunday.

The US fired the attack after Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps were allegedly setting up another wave of underwater mines in the Strait of Hormuz, Axios reported.

“Earlier today U.S. forces struck two Iranian launchers on Larak Island,” a US official told the outlet. “Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps forces were observed preparing to launch rockets with sea mines into Strait of Hormuz.“

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps confirmed the attack that reportedly killed and wounded several people, but did not provide further details.

The attack “will be answered by the sons of Iran and will result in the punishment of the aggressor,” the IRGC told state broadcasters.

And it didn’t take long for Iran to attempt to strike back at American targets.

NOW: Iran is attacking U.S. forces stationed in Jordan.

Will things calm down again, now that Iran has shot off missiles? It’s an open question. But during an interview with Trey Gowdy that aired Sunday night, President Trump was adamant that Iran could not be allowed to get a nuclear weapon, because we all know what they would do with it.

President Donald Trump said Sunday that Iran would have used a nuclear weapon if it had one, warning that Israel and much of the Middle East could have been destroyed, with the United States or Europe possibly “next.”

“If they would have had a nuclear weapon, they would have fired it,” Trump said on “Sunday Night in America.”

“These are very violent, evil people.”

“So I think the Middle East would have essentially been gone, but Israel definitely would have been gone,” he added.

“I guess we would be next, or Europe, or someplace. But no, you cannot let them have a nuclear weapon, and they won’t have a nuclear weapon,” he added.

Trump also praised the success of the blockade of Iranian ports and Washington’s financial pressure campaign, saying Iran had become “a failing nation.”

And it seems that the reason that Trump has been content to let things lie until now is because the blockade has been so successful.

“The blockade has been unbelievable,” he said. “The financial hits that we’re giving them” have contributed to Iran’s decline.

“Their navy’s gone. Their air force is gone. Their leaders are gone. All of their anti-aircraft — I mean, it’s all wiped out. They’re tough people,” Trump said.

The president also said he was surprised when Tehran began targeting Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Kuwait at the start of the war, but argued the attacks eroded Iran’s regional support.

“Everybody was shocked. I was surprised,” Trump said. “I thought it was a real good thing because they lost all the support that they had.”

This is still not an ideal situation. It would be better if the president simply took the air out of the room and finished off Kharg Island, making the economic collapse inevitable and nearly immediate. It would spare the Iranian people a whole lot of unnecessary suffering, and wrap the entire war up before the midterms. If everyone, including Trump, is tired of this war, then why let it drag out? Still, it seems the end result will be the same either way – Iran will not get a nuke, their ability to pay proxies to commit terror acts will be pretty much nonexistent, and the Strait of Hormuz will start seeing more commercial traffic. As far as regime change within the country itself, it looks like President Trump is leaving that part up to the Iranian people.

The video opens with a statement saying that “on Friday, March 13, 2026, a satanic abortion ritual was performed inside of a Hobby Lobby bathroom.” It cuts to numerous Christianity-related decor items the company sells, including a sign that reads “Jesus loves me, this I know,” with Jesus sitting in front of children.

The video states, “This is a destruction ritual that serves as a protective rite. Its purpose is to cast off the guilt when choosing to have an abortion. It serves to empower the patient against those with theocratic religious convictions. The ritual wards off the effects of unjust persecution, which can cause one to stray from the paths of scientific reasoning.”

The kind of cognitive dissonance it takes to be a serious member of the Satanic Temple is disturbing because their rhetoric and actions read like a caricature of teenage angst and rebellion. An anti-theist religion? Engagement in performative rites as part of a path of “scientific reasoning”?

I have seen so much cynical bunk untethered from reality since [checks notes] 500 female athletes demanded that SCOTUS keep laissez-faire abortion at the Federal level least women’s sports be “devestated.”

Considering that the W?NBA can’t define “woman”, female athletes face far greater threats to their athletic aspirations than not being able to kill their own child in pursuit of a sports title.

The satanists filming in Hobby Lobby just didn’t wander in from the street because they happened to be in the neighborhood. Successful, private/family-owned businesses who dare to be openly Christian are targets of anti-theists with a fervor the same malcontents would never direct towards Muslims. Hobby Lobby’s own inventory provided another provocative element to the satanists’ video.

The video then shows the woman walking out of the Hobby Lobby, as the religious items in the store catch fire. “Your ability to choose to terminate a pregnancy is consistent with the ideals of liberty and freedom.

Sorry, satanists, the ability to kill your own child has nothing to do with “liberty and freedom”. You all conflate those terms with chaos and anarchy. A libertine is not “free” but a slave to their own passions.

And just stop with the “scientific reasoning” in regards to abortion because treating babies as non-human disposable sacks of meat — whether it is the commodification of humans via surrogacy or the pretend language (e.g. terminate a pregnancy) in service of not saying killing a human fetus — has nothing to do with science or reasoning.

One of the more disturbing elements of this video is the targeting of SCOTUS and, specifically, Justice Alito.

The video closes with a photo of the Supreme Court justices, with the words “a cruel Christian stunt, a culture war bomb. Dropped from the c*nt of Sam Alito’s mom” laid over their faces as it zooms in on Justice Samuel Alito.

Don’t think of this as an one-off stunt. As we’ve seen in the deaths of Charlie Kirk and Brian Thompson, the Left resorts to, and celebrates, violence to reach their goals.

Reedley College is a public community college — iow, taxpayer funded. High school parents who kids were ambushed in this course shouldn’t be the only ones upset.

When last we wrote about him, it was 2017. That was when his career as a political pundit who skewered Muslim apologists ended after awful pedophilia comments of his surfaced. CPAC kicked him to the curb and Breitbart fired him soon after. 

Now we find out that he was arrested by ICE and is facing deportation. 

According to the agency, an immigration judge issued Yiannopoulos a final order of removal on July 22 after he did not show up to his immigration hearing. The statement said the Trump administration is “working diligently to ensure that aliens in our country illegally can no longer fly unless it is out of our country to self-deport.”

The irony of this is Milo’s statements from a year ago regarding ICE and deportations. 

“California needs ICE checkpoints at supermarket entrances, gas stations, strip malls, intersections and government buildings, with on the spot deportation for anyone who can’t prove they are in the US legally,” the former Breitbart News editor wrote on X in June 2025.

After anti-ICE protester Renee Good was killed in Minnesota, Yiannopoulos wrote that those who impede deportation efforts should “get one in the head.”

“There should be a simple understanding. If you interfere in any way with deportation operations, you get one in the head,” the former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene intern wrote on Jan. 9.

The one-time Kanye West ally also regularly shared his positive views on Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

“Total legal immunity for ICE agents when they’re on duty,” he wrote in Sept. 2025.

“Justice system should just be ice,” he wrote that same month.

I really had to laugh at that. Did he think he could just overstay his welcome and ignore the immigration courts? Obviously he’s not been paying attention to what the Trump Administration is doing. 

And now for the FO part of Milo’s choice to ignore DHS and the immigration judge. 

Right-wing provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos has officially been deported, according to the Department of Homeland Security.

“On August 28, ICE deported Milo Yiannopoulos, an illegal alien from the United Kingdom, back to his home country. A day prior, ICE arrested Yiannopoulos at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport in Kenner, Louisiana,” a DHS spokesperson told The Post.

The consequences have arrived. 

Will the Washington Post write up a sob story about Milo given he had no criminal record? It would be a fabulous and comical addition to their report from earlier today.

Just last night, I read about Canadian doctors who are doubling down on expanding assisted suicide to newborn babies. Their abortion practices look bleak as well:

As shocking as the calls for infanticide are, they are consistent with the culture of death promoted by the Liberal government. In fact, data has revealed that hundreds of babies who survive abortions in Canada are left to die.

According to a Quebec study, one in 10 babies aborted in the second trimester are born alive, but only 10 percent live over three hours. Additionally, only 24 percent of the babies born alive were admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), while only five percent received palliative care.”-lifesitenews.com

Left. To. Die.

Canada. Our betters. Our “friendly” and “polite” neighbors to the north want Americans to knoww how much better than us they truly are. Just look at what they’re doing to snuff out those “undesirable” newborns.

And when I think of palliative care, I think of a terminally ill adult who has at least been given the chance at life, not a child who has not even been given the chance to take a first breath outside of the womb, but that is besides the point I am trying to make here. The point I am trying to make is, our culture is sick. It’s hurting. It’s in need of a smack upside the head from God or something.

As a person who has had postpartum depression, (not psychosis), I can never imagine a solution to my depression to be harming my child. In fact, I would argue that most women with postpartum would feel the urge to harm themselves before anyone else. Having a child changes your identity. The event shifts your priorities. Your life changes. Your friends and relationships change. This can be daunting for some. For me, I was a workaholic who tied my identity to my job before I became a mom. That was no longer my identity or priority. My health took a downward turn during pregnancy and I had to not only recover from an emergency c-section but other health complications. While I was caring for a child in the NICU. We left the hospital without our son. When he finally came home with us, my husband went straight to work and soon after, on a deployment. I was alone, with a baby. During that time, I wondered what my purpose was. But I knew, despite how isolated I felt, despite that I felt like an utter failure for not carrying a “good”, healthy, storybook pregnancy, despite my not knowing all of the answers, that I loved my son more than anything. I was going to live to see him grow up. I wanted to see him grow up. That became my purpose. Was I the best mother in the world?

Motherhood is an honor. Was I always at my best in this role? Probably not. Am I now? Nope. I still screw up on the regular when navigating a relationship with my 20 year-old “baby boy” who is now an adult making adult decisions and having adult relationships. But I would never trade the midnight diaper changes, late-night feedings on the hour (he was only 4 pounds when he came home) and the eternity I felt like it took to potty train that kiddo. I look fondly upon the story time and snuggles before bed, the Kindergarten Mom duties, the sleepovers and the chaos of a house full of boys, Friday night pizza and Nerf gun fights. I made lasting friendships spending long weekends in sweaty gymnasiums at wrestling tourneys. We had fun road trips and vacations with our son and his best friend since third grade (who is also my “son”) and stories that still crack us up to this day. In recent years, I’ve experienced the college send-off and all of those tears and, another transformation in my role as a mom. This time, the proverbial cutting of the umbilical cord and letting a young man into the world to adult. All things considered, bringing a person into this world has been one of my greatest joys.

I realize that it is not like this for everyone. Motherhood is painful sometimes. It wrecks your body to create something beautiful. Motherhood requires sacrifice. But, as a woman, is it child sacrifice? Is that where we are at these days? Motherhood has been largely discarded. As a result, children have been blatantly disregarded. Unhappy accidents. Life-sucking parasites. Mere inconveniences that can be thrown away. “Events” to be “canceled”.

Lindsay Clancy’s lawyer was quoted to say that she felt “broken down” after days upon days of trials. Her supporters want her to have peace. They want people to “believe her”. The tragedy here is that the left has gone too far. This is what happens when abortion and “assisted suicide” gets masked as “compassion” and “care”. It’s hard to have compassion for, believe and “want peace” for a woman who brutally murdered her three children when the feminists who believe in abortion and “mercy killing” newborns rally in her corner.

In fact, that’s the last corner most of us sane women want to be in.

Mamdani and Hochul announced that offers had been made to fill the 2,000 available seats, out of more than 7,500 families who applied for the first-of-its-kind free preschool program for 2-year-olds launching this fall in select neighborhoods.

But the joint press conference, at BedRock Preschool in The Bronx, came a day after the nonpartisan Center for New York City Affairs found that growing universal childcare to cover all city kids from 6 weeks old to five years old — as Mamdani has promised — would cost $9 billion annually.

That’s a far cry from the $6 billion Mamdani advertised for the initiative, according to the study, which said ramping up free childcare would require adding some 10,000 seats and hiring some 23,000 workers.

Neither Mamdani nor Hochul seemed particularly concerned with the reported cost overrun, nor with explaining how the massive gap would be closed other than levying additional taxes on the wealthy, the mayoral administration’s go-to piggy bank thus far.

Asked about the study, Hizzoner touted the “partnership” with Hochul, reminiscing about the governor allocating an extra $1.2 billion in state funding to fuel the 2-K pilot and build up existing free pre-K and 3-K programs.

After recapping the particulars of the initiatives and sharing a word-salad anecdote about parents being forced to travel miles from their home to find childcare, Mamdani finally offered an oblique answer.

“And what I mean by that is that today we have families across the city spending, as the governor said, between 20 to $40,000 a year to raise their child in the nation’s most expensive city. And this is an initiative that we are working on not just for the short term, for the medium term, but the long term to make it easier to raise that family here in New York City,” he said.

Hochul, meanwhile, downplayed the report, pledging an “independent verification” would be performed to determine the actual costs required, and dismissing the “outside study” as “not how we operate.”

After acknowledging she didn’t know the total cost of Mamdani’s universal childcare proposal, Hochul gushed that she was “excited” about the growth of the 2-K program in its early days.

It turns out that Mamdani DID find a way to cover the bills, and Hochul WAS right that the study was “not how we operate.” It turns out the way they are currently going to pay for it is… to make the childcare providers pay for it themselves! Socialism hasn’t run out of money yet, when those who are providing the service are being forced to cover the costs because the government forgets to send the checks!

Frustrated providers tasked with delivering Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s promise of universal childcare — including a new, free 2-K program — complained the city is stiffing them out of six-figure payments, forcing them to dig into their own pockets just two weeks before the start of the school year.

Scores of childcare center operators contracted by the city for 2-K, 3-K and pre-K programs griped that advance payments usually sent in August haven’t arrived, leaving them scrambling to cover supplies, staffing and other basics in order to open in time.

“If we do open up on the first day of school, I won’t have staff,” said Adrienne Bond, director of the Quick Start Daycare Center in Queens, adding she was waiting on roughly $400,000 from the city.

“Mamdani promised positive change in early childhood education, and many trusted him by electing him to office, so when is that coming? We are anxiously waiting.”

Bond said she spent $400 of her personal funds, plus maxed out $35,000 from a private after-school program, to cover expenses.

She still had to delay two paychecks for staff and, as outstanding food supplier bills loom, was anxiously awaiting an interest-free bridge loan that so far has been held up by a city Department of Education backlog.

“I’m pleading with them for the bridge loan,” she told The Post.

The delays not only threaten the debut of Mamdani’s 2-K pilot program, but also the ability of free childcare centers to open when school begins September 10.

Growing panic and hardships from the funding holdup were first reported by City & State on Tuesday, with it and The New York Times detailing providers considering fronting $90,000, taking reverse mortgages on their homes to pay expenses and asking employees to apply for unemployment.

Five city childcare providers who spoke to The Post this week, including Bond, detailed similar delays and frustrations.

One Queens childcare owner, who asked to stay anonymous, said she received a new 2-K class but the city won’t be sending her money to operate it until November.

The owner said she only got less than half of the five-figure sum she requested for a loan.

“I’m done — somebody needs to shine a light on what’s going on in this place because it’s an absolute disaster,” she said. “I have gone into my personal bank accounts, went into my 401(k), and I’m not doing it again.”

The Play Group Experience in Staten Island was still waiting on a $160,000 advance, said director Lori Cangiolose, adding that she spent $800 out of her personal bank account to prepare for September’s opening.

“We received zero funding that we usually receive in August to get us through to open,” she said.

Naturally, all of this is always someone else’s fault. Now we have people pointing fingers, and a mayor who just assumes he can simply speak things into being.

The brewing blunder has bureaucrats were keen to pass the buck.

DOE paper pushers blamed bean counters in the city comptroller’s office for allegedly not registering contracts, a box-ticking step that must be done to process payments, the Times first reported.

Comptroller’s officials fired back that the DOE hadn’t even shared the contracts yet. The office hasn’t received any 2-K contracts as of Friday, officials said.

“The start of the school year is not an unexpected event,” City Comptroller Mark Levine said in a statement.

“The city knew these contracts needed to be approved by now, and failing to get them done on time risks setting back our affordability agenda,” Levine said.

Mamdani was pressed earlier this week on the issues providers have been grappling with — including those concerned they won’t be able to open next month — but he could only repeat that “we have made this very clear that this is a top priority internally.”

Mamdani’s spokeswoman Jenna Lyle admitted the delays were “unacceptable” — but blamed former Mayor Eric Adams’ administration for cutting 600 employees tasked with establishing the city’s childcare system.

It’s not clear why the new admin didn’t address any staffing issues before rolling out the universal childcare expansion.

So, it looks like the Mamdani game plan is: announce a program, assure everyone that it will happen, not pay anyone, still expect it to happen, tell everyone that it is a “top priority,” and then blame the previous guy for making it impossible to get it done. Is everyone feeling the warmth of that collectivism yet? The childcare providers are expected to make Mamdani’s dreams of free universal childcare a reality. He just didn’t tell them that in order for it to be free, they would be WORKING for free. Surprise!

And people wonder how this stunning example of democratic socialist efficiency is going to run a single grocery store?

We’ve been watching Zohran Mamdani consistently run into the harsh rake of reality every time he tries to implement a new program. This is just yet another example of a campaign promise he can’t keep, thanks to the bureaucracy that has no idea which end is up, workers that need to be paid, and the tax dollars that are nowhere to be found. Does anyone really believe that Mamdani and his DSA lackeys can get this straightened out in less than two weeks? They’ve been advertising this since last January, and only NOW they are figuring out that the workers need to be paid?? Only people who have had their parents pay for their entire existence could be dumb enough to do this.

AOC evidently had more things taxing her brain of unremarkable size these last seven years and recently renewed her membership.

In 2018, a first-time congressional candidate named Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez signed up for an annual membership to join the Democratic Socialists of America. Over the next eight years, AOC became the most famous DSA member in the U.S., breaking records for small-donor fundraising and serving as a key endorser for other DSA candidates like Mayor Zohran Mamdani.

But for much of that time, AOC was not technically a member of DSA. Her annual membership expired in 2019, and she apparently never renewed it.

Of course, as New York’s chapter of the same commies who steered Mamdani to victory gathered to urge AOC to run for the Oval Office in 2028, it became a bit of an embarrassment to find out that she just wasn’t one of us anymore. Not that she is every commie’s cup of vodka …

However, the DSA at large has become intensely divided over Ocasio-Cortez’s suitability as the organization’s flag bearer in the Democratic primary.

For example, the DSA’s Liberation Caucus, a Maoist faction of the group, last week “condemn[ed] Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s continued retreat from socialist politics and rejects any effort to present her as the future presidential standard-bearer for DSA …” Just the News reported.

The group specifically cited the lawmakers’ vote for a bill that defended Israel’s right to exist and for meeting with leaders from the Jewish Council for Public Affairs.

AOC is trying to thread the needle to the Democrat’s nomination by pretending to be a centrist while still touting her commie creds to the leftwing donor class.

She’s about as genuine as her contextual accents …

This woman is asking Florida voters to send her to the United States Senate. She thinks America is a pretty lousy place. Yet she wants a very powerful job helping run it. Maybe that’s a qualification now.

Those Capitalist Chains Must Be Heavy

Nixon may have joined the Democratic Socialists of America in June, but she was singing the song well before that. During a series of CAIR Florida fundraising events following the 2024 election, she went after capitalism, complained about politicians embracing assimilation, and described Americans as being held back by oppression.

During her November 2024 speech at CAIR Florida’s Tampa gala, Nixon declared that “our oppressor” is “those in power” and that “we are in chains” because most politicians have embraced “respectability politics and assimilation.”

“Let me be clear, we are in chains,” Nixon said. “Those chains are keeping us from realizing our shared power of demanding and accomplishing a ceasefire in Palestine. … Those chains are keeping us from showing up and demanding the cops find the killers of black trans women.” – Free Beacon

I always find this argument fascinating coming from elected politicians. Nixon is a state representative who just won the Democratic nomination for the United States Senate. She has managed to climb the political ladder, build a following and put herself within one election of becoming one of only 100 U.S. senators.

The American dream may be false, but Angie seems to be navigating it just fine.

And what exactly is wrong with assimilation? America has spent generations taking people from every corner of the world and turning them into Americans. Somewhere along the way, the Left decided even that needed to be shoved into the oppression box.

Angie Has A Plan

So what does Angie Nixon propose we do about all these chains and that rotten American dream? Angie’s answer is better political vehicles, and she chooses CAIR Florida. Of course she does.

I’m stuck on the word vehicle. Angie has somehow turned CAIR Florida into the family SUV of progressive politics. Everybody pile in, we’re taking socialism, identity politics and our complaints about assimilation on a road trip, and God only knows where we’re going.

And if you’re wondering who Angie might invite along for this little political road trip, meet her new BFF, Assata Shakur. Well, in spirit anyway, since Shakur died last year and is presumably either buried somewhere or sitting in an urn on somebody’s mantle.

Nixon ended each of her three CAIR speeches by quoting Shakur, whom she called a famous freedom fighter. That’s an interesting description of a woman convicted of murdering New Jersey State Trooper Werner Foerster, who then escaped from prison and fled to Cuba.

America has produced a whole lot of people worth quoting, but Angie went with Assata Shakur. Not Lincoln, Frederick Douglass or Martin Luther King Jr. Nope, the convicted cop killer who escaped prison and spent the rest of her life hiding out in communist Cuba apparently spoke to Angie.

I’m beginning to understand why Angie has such a problem with the American dream. She seems awfully fond of people who wanted to tear it all down.

Meanwhile, Oklahoma Says Hold My Scissors

I might be willing to write Angie Nixon off as a uniquely Florida experience, except Democrats in Oklahoma have been busy finding interesting Senate candidates of their own.

Their nominee, N’Kiyla Jasmine Thomas, has her own viral moment involving a pink bedroom, a Mean Girls-style Burn Book, a pair of scissors and a picture of Sen. Markwayne Mullin. She cuts out Mullin’s picture, pastes it into the book, and carries on like Regina George running for Congress.

After spending this much time with Angie Nixon, however, I’m starting to think the woman with the scissors may be the normal one.

And that’s where we are. Florida Democrats have Angie Nixon, Oklahoma Democrats have Burn Book Lady, and both women are running for the United States Senate. Maybe somebody should check the candidate application form and make sure there isn’t a box marked “Must Be Psychotic.”

Ashley Moody has to be looking at all of this and thinking Christmas came early.
