“Push back on this” Hillary urges.

Ok. I will. But the following conversation requires a baseline of facts and logic, so you’re excused, Hillary.

First, a few facts.

The death penalty exists for a reason. It’s not primarily about vengeance, though the families of the dead have every right to it.  The reason we have a Death Penalty is about removing from society people whose crimes are so craven, so deliberately evil, and so heinously destructive that they forfeit the right to continue breathing the same air as the rest of us. And, of course, the Death Penalty is about deterrence. When a high-ranking officer in the uniform of the United States Army decides that his radical Islamist ideology requires him to slaughter his fellow soldiers, the response should be unambiguous, public, and final.

Soft language and endless process? Signals weakness.

Strength signals consequences.

Nidal Hasan received due process in abundance. He was convicted in 2013 of 13 counts of premeditated murder and 32 counts of attempted murder. The military jury sentenced him to death. He then spent more than a decade exhausting every appeal the system offers. The Supreme Court finally denied review in 2025. President Trump approved the sentence. The Army set the date: December 3, 2026, at 1 p.m. Central Time, by firing squad, at Fort Hood itself.

That date and time are not random.

A look back.

November 5, 2009, was a Thursday. An US Army Officer, Nidal Hasan, walked into the Soldier Readiness Processing Center where unarmed troops were preparing for deployment, and became a terrorist.

He shouted “Allahu Akbar,” and opened fire.

He killed 13 and wounded 32. December 3, 2026, is also a Thursday. The execution is scheduled for the same hour the rampage began, at the same installation where the blood was spilled.

Poetic justice is not barbarism. It is clarity.

Hasan was no random civilian grabbed off the street by hooded terrorist thugs and beheaded for worldwide cameras. He was a major, a trained psychiatrist, an officer who swore an oath to the Constitution and then betrayed it in the most literal way possible. He murdered fellow soldiers in cold blood while they were unarmed and focused on the mission of defending the country. That is not a workplace dispute. That is terrorism committed from inside the ranks.

Now, for the logic.

Hillary Clinton’s selective “sensitivity” to barbarism is rich. When American diplomats and security personnel were murdered by terrorists in Benghazi, the then-Secretary of State’s primary contribution to the national conversation was a shrill, petulant question about whether the precise motive still mattered.  We all remember it. But if by chance you don’t, a reminder.

The difference, of course, is that those barbaric deaths occurred 9/11/2012 on her watch and “complicated” a preferred political narrative that she perpetrated. Hasan’s victims do not threaten what’s left of her disappeared relevance, so now she can cosplay the high-minded critic of “barbarism.”

No one is required to watch the execution. If the livestream proceeds, change the channel. Turn it off. Go ahead and look away. Free people have that option. What they should not have is the option to pretend that a man who massacred soldiers, in the name of jihad on an American Army post, deserves indefinite taxpayer-funded lodging and medical care after every legal avenue afforded to him has been closed.

In the end, I don’t think this public military execution will happen. It will, I suspect, be delayed or blocked by the usual last-minute legal maneuvers by radical law-hating progressives, and squishy others, that we’ve seen time and time again. Courts have a long history of finding creative ways to frustrate final judgments in capital cases.

And should that happen, Hillary can move on to her next performative outrage because we all know it’s out there. The rest of us will still remember the soldiers at Hood who never came home, and a wee pre-born baby who never got the chance to grow into something extraordinary, all from a Texas processing center on a Thursday afternoon in 2009.

I believe justice delayed is still better than justice denied. And for the record, justice for Nidal Hasan’s victims is NOT beneath America’s dignity. It is the bare minimum of it.

Here’s a hot take: racists aren’t very bright.

And I’m talking about Cletus with the mullet and the five teeth and the parents who are cousins AND  the self-appointed mouthpieces in the Karmelo Anthony and Nolan Wells cases, who act like they can barely read. I don’t know why that’s surprising; you have to be missing a few fries from your Happy Meal to believe God would create ANY race to be inferior. And two of these clowns are supposed to be PREACHERS.

So let me see if I’ve got this figured out.

A death happens, ANY kind of death, as long as both a black person and a white person are in the vicinity, and a bunch of slip and fall attorneys descends upon the family of the black person. It doesn’t even matter who did the actual killing, or even if there WAS a killing. The death could have been accidental and this con would still work.  Independent investigator Sarah J. Fields has reported extensively on both the Wells and Anthony cases:

These attorneys hold press conferences with the black family, where the family cries into the camera and says things like, “We just want JUSTICE for our baby!” Then they all proceed to accuse the white person, whether that person is the deceased or not, of racism.

The accusation of racism is more important to these race hustlers (and the mindless drones who swallow everything they say) than the accusation of MURDER.  In fact, as in the case of Karmelo Anthony, the person supposedly being held up as a victim of discrimination is sometimes the KILLER.

The lawyers set up a crowd-funding account for the family and proceed to collect a million dollars from a bunch of people so gullible I worry about them being out on the streets. Some of these are celebrities, who have always had more money than common sense, and they’re dumping large sums on this family as well.

Then once a jury, who gets to see all the ACTUAL evidence (as opposed to the fever dreams of the race-obsessed “internet sleuths”) reaches their inevitable conclusion, the race-pimping lawyers take their cut of the money and split, off to scan the obituaries for their next score. Do they give a damn about the mess they’re leaving behind them? Because we’ve seen this play out enough times to know how often REAL violence happens in retaliation for FAKE racism.

And to the geniuses who sent these hucksters all that money and made them rich, the outcome in court is just more proof that America is racist, which keeps them primed and ready to whip out their checkbooks for the next grift.

For those who are not aware, homicidal people in the United States don’t tend to be terribly equal-opportunity; they usually commit violence within their own racial demographic.  Within the very small percentage of inter-racial homicide cases, the VAST majority of them are black on white crime.  Despite this, there’s a subset of American citizens who believe the following: If a black person killed a white person, the white person must have deserved it because white people are racist.  If a black person died in the vicinity of a white person, the white person must have killed him because white people are racist.  Filtering everything you see through such a distorted lens makes you an easy mark for these kinds of grifters.

In retrospect, it would have been much wiser for Kamala Harris to run for governor of California. The primary would have been bruising, given how crowded that field was. But considering how the field shook out, with the spectacular collapse of Eric Swalwell and the primary win of the lackluster Xavier Becerra, it is easy to see how Kamala Harris would have cruised to victory. Her political resume would have not suffered from four to eight years in Sacramento. Well, hindsight is 20/20. She was one staircase away from the Oval Office for four years, and her name continues to lead the pack in potential Democratic primary contenders, so maybe she thought being governor of California was a step down. However, her name recognition isn’t translating into political clout for the midterms.

And now, a new report says that Doug Emhoff isn’t thrilled with the idea of doing the time warp again.

Harris’s husband, Doug Emhoff, is among those who have shared concerns with others about another run, though people close to him expect he will support her if she decides to run.

In “107 Days,” her memoir of the 2024 campaign, Harris describes her husband as protective and supportive, noting that when she was chosen to be Biden’s running mate in 2020, “he made a huge sacrifice, gladly and without bitterness.” She wrote, “he knew it was essential that there be no appearance of conflicts of interest in our new roles. So that was his last day at his law firm.”

She writes that in October 2024, she realized that “the attacks on me, and the many personal assaults he’d been experiencing were finally taking a toll.” She describes an argument they had and Emhoff telling her, “We can’t turn on each other,” he said. She wrote, “With the hits coming from every direction, we had to stay united.”

Since leaving Washington, Emhoff has returned to work as an attorney in Los Angeles at white shoe law firm Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP. He and Harris purchased a new $8-million home in Malibu with views of the Pacific Ocean. Harris has taken some business meetings at their new home.

Even though Kamala traveled all over the country for her book tour, Doug Emhoff was able to retire back into private life fairly easily, with a cushy job and new house. If she ran for president again, Emhoff would have to quit his job again, and go back on the campaign trail. They are millionaires and live very well. Giving all of that up to run again could be a pretty bitter pill – especially if the Democrat primary is as brutal as some think it might become.

But Kamala is keeping her name in the game at the moment.

Harris maintains she has not made a decision on whether to mount a third run at the presidency, but appears to be laying the groundwork for another White House campaign.

Ahead of the midterms, Harris has made the rounds at Democratic fundraisers, including private events for Wisconsin gubernatorial candidate David Crowley and Nevada gubernatorial candidate Aaron Ford, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Just last week, Harris hopped on a call with the Democratic National Committee and more than 2,000 volunteers, urging them to help with the get-out-the-vote effort in a dozen states.

“I have not decided if I’m going to run again,” she said at a NAACP event in Michigan last month. “I do sincerely believe ’28 won’t matter if we don’t get through ’26.”

Obviously, no Democratic candidate is going to announce a presidential run before the midterms are over. But once they are over, and the results are known, I think we are pretty quickly going to see some noise from certain Democrats as they begin putting together “exploratory committees” and the like in order to test the waters among donors. And speaking of donors, they don’t seem to be excited about another round of Kamala Harris.

Some donors – uneasy about what Harris is planning on doing – have told her directly that a 2028 White House run would be “a long shot.”

There’s a lot of history there with Kamala’s initial presidential run, and a lot of money spent that ultimately left the DNC in debt. Donors, who were willing to support Kamala Harris when she was replacing a failing Joe Biden, aren’t necessarily willing to back her again.

But back to Doug Emhoff. There was plenty of embarassing dirt that came to light about his personal life before Kamala Harris, and all of that will once again be back in the spotlight if she runs again. One can’t blame Emhoff if he would rather just live a privileged private life from now on, away from the public eye. Now, if he could just convince Kamala to do the same, and spare us all.

Nothing quite says “We have to protect our phony-baloney jobs!” as entrenched authoritarians like Macron go full Orwell.

While long the darling of Western media, Macron has been one of the most anti-free-speech leaders in the world. On Sept. 29, he declared that “The so-called American ‘free speech’ today, which some people have promoted, is the opposite of free speech.” Having Emmanuel Macron holding forth on free speech is akin to Joey Chestnut proselytizing on veganism.

France has been in a headlong plunge into censorship and speech criminalization. These laws criminalize speech under vague standards referring to “inciting” or “intimidating” others based on race or religion.

We’ve seen those laws in action — it is less about inciting (which actually has a legal definition; e.g. Brandenburg v. Ohio) — and it is more about those in power using the law to shut down any criticism that gets under their very thin skins.

The hypocrisy is pretty blatant, too. Remember Bridget Bardot?

Many of us were disgusted recently when Macron celebrated Brigitte Bardot’s life as someone who “embodied a life of freedom.” As I discussed, the French government repeatedly prosecuted Bardot for speaking about her views.

Macron’s praise for Bardot’s “life of freedom” is reminiscent of the reaction of French officials to the massacre of editors at Charlie Hebdo, a satirical magazine. After hounding the victims for years with criminal investigations, the French government organized a march for free speech. As predicted, it then used the killing by Islamic extremists to further crack down on free speech.

Let’s also recall none other than John Kerry said that the Islamic terrorist who murdered those at Charlie Hebdo had “a rationale” for doing so.

Large-scale, mass migration from non-Western cultures into France and the UK has been going on for some time and has reached critical mass. The local, ethnic English and French are noticing their countries have changed. Changed for the worse. And their leaders’ response? A hard push to authoritarianism.

This is why we now see the political leadership of western countries making hard turns toward authoritarianism, and especially against free speech. Freedom of expression is the one thing you cannot tolerate if the state is going to enforce multiculturalism and impose a large foreign population on a native one. (snip)

(I)t means the liberal leaders of France and Britain are openly arguing that their societies must become less free, more controlled, more monitored. Recently French President Emmanuel Macron said the American idea of free speech is “the opposite of free speech,” and that freedom can only exist within a “common framework” created and managed by the state. In his view, freedom is a privilege granted to individuals by the state, which defines the range of acceptable discourse in accordance with “public order.” He compared limits on speech to prohibitions on assault or the destruction of public property — essentially declaring that speech is violence and must be suppressed by the state, if necessary.

“Speech is violence” … now where have we heard that expression before? Could it be from the Left, in places where Antifa operates to “bash the Fash”? Or in the celebrations online of the assassination of Charlie Kirk?

Cities across France burn, but it’s ethnic French and English people who dare express displeasure at losing their culture who are the real problem. They don’t even know they don’t really exist …

Indeed, (Jean-Luc) Mélenchon, who is running for president in next year’s national election, has been rather explicit in his desire to erase the French people and replace them with foreigners. On a recent panel, echoing remarks from Britain’s Jacob Rees-Mogg on how the English are a “mongrel people,” he derided the very concept of “native French people,” declaring that a “process of creolization has already taken place” in France, and that those wanting a “static world” are dreaming of something that is gone for good.

These Euro-dictators are particularly upset with America — here Biden was fulfilling the transmogrification with unchecked illegal migration of third-worlders up to 11,000 per month while also using government pressure on social media platforms (Google, Twitter, Facebook) to suppress unwelcome speech and outright ban discussion topics but then those pesky Americans in fly-over country elected Trump and Elon Musk bought Twitter.

The announcement of the livestreaming is not the interesting development. What is interesting was with this announcement, the conversation/debate over whether Nidal Hasan deserves the death penalty largely faded away. The conversation is now consumed by the “optics” of the situation. And I will say, people of good conscience are having honest disagreements over the livestream issue.

The closer one is to the situation, the more support there generally appears to be for making the execution public.

Here’s the problem. There are a whole host of people on the left who are demanding that the right live up to a moral and religious code, that they themselves do not follow, in order to get the end result that they want. After all, these are the same people who were completely FINE with an abortion being filmed and recorded for public consumption. These are some of the same people who have no problem with Charlie Kirk’s assassination being used to mock his life, legacy, and family. But the firing squad execution of a terrorist who took 13 lives – 14 if you count the unborn child of Private Francheska Velez – is apparently a bridge too far. Why? The right is having an honest conversation about life, death, and the open public view of the execution, but the same left who has the gall to avoid and/or deny all the video Hamas provided for their crimes on October 7, 2023, is demanding that people of faith and conscience find an execution offensive.

The problem the left has, of course, is that they have no ideological consistency on this issue. Those on the right who are objecting on faith-based grounds are also pro-life, and thus are consistent in their views that life in sacred. The left has no such scruples. It’s telling that they are counting on OTHER people to have scruples, instead of presenting a logical argument that fits their moral framework.

The simplest answer is the one that the left likes to repeatedly parrot when it comes to abortion: if you don’t like it, don’t have one. Well, if you don’t like the firing squad execution of Nidal Hasan being livestreamed, don’t watch. I didn’t say that this was the moral solution or a faith-based rationale, I said this was the SIMPLEST answer.

The reality of the livestream situation is this: YouTube certainly will not allow this to be streamed on their platform. It will likely not be broadcast by news stations, either. It will probably be streamed through the Pentagon’s own website. This isn’t going to be filmed like a scene in a movie, with multiple angles and dramatic lighting. The execution is scheduled for 1 pm in the afternoon, and the camera will probably be at a fixed angle at a distance. We’re not getting up close and personal. The camera will probably be no closer than those who are attending the execution in person. It will undoubtedly be dramatic, and it will be final. There will not be a Pike mistake with a firing squad.

The question of whether the death penalty is moral, just, or fits into a “modern society” that has so sanitized death and hidden away the dying will continue to be debated. What is not in question is that under the Uniform Code of Military Justice, Nidal Hasan was found guilty of 13 counts of premeditated murder and 32 counts of attempted premeditated murder during his court-martial. Hasan has exhausted all his appeals under the UCMJ, and will now die for his crimes. This is not a civilian court under civilian law, this is a military court dealing with a former officer who committed a horrific act of terrorism. This cannot be treated in the same way as a state or federal execution in a civilian case.

Everyone is accountable for their own conscience. Many will choose to watch the execution, and have no issues with it. Others will not, and will regret the livestreaming, but not the execution itself. Others will say that Hasan should not be executed at all, because they are pro-life in all cases, for the unborn and for convicted criminals. And all of those are legitimate positions. What is not legitimate, and is frankly reprehensible, are those who have no issues with livestreaming an abortion, mock Charlie Kirk’s death by an assassin’s bullet with tasteless costumes or stupidly offensive crap, and then whine about Nidal Hasan receiving his sentence while being livestreamed. Sorry, find your own conscience.

I’ll start with a story …

We all lived on the family ranch in the outer Territories established by my great greats. And when I say “all” that includes all my grandparents, siblings, parents, a couple aunts and uncles and assorted cousins.

As the eldest of all the kids, I used to feel that each grand took a perverse delight in filling my days in learning everything from calving to hunting, from how to train new pups to learning how to diaper my infant cousins. I couldn’t help wondering what the hurry was. I mean, I listened to my pawpaw come back from town meetings livid at townies who wanted to relax the rules about trade with City. There hadn’t been a raid since before I was born so “More trade” “Time to open relations” “we can’t be held hostage to the past” didn’t sound unreasonable, right?

Dinner was long over, chores done and I shared the table with two of my younger sisters. I was sweating over calculus, and they were taking turns reading Shakespeare’s sonnets out loud when the door flew open. Pawpaw stepped in, “Town’s on fire.”

I watched all the adults look at each other, then almost as one turn and look at me.

“I’ll get the little ones ready,” I said, calmer than I felt.

I had no time to think of how right my grands had been. But I would thank them tomorrow.

The horrific drug-filled orgy or gang rape (depending on who you talk to) occurred on October 20, 2024, 10 days ahead of the biggest college party weekend of the year known as “Halloweekend” (don’t fret kids, this will come into play later).

In the past few weeks, a few snippets of the text messages between Jane Doe and the Cornell Chi Phi brothers were released, but now, actual screenshots of the messages are bringing more receipts. Doe’s attorney, however, dismissed the newly revealed screenshots as part of “her processing what had happened on Oct. 20”.

The “processing” went something like this. Jonathan Newell, Jane Doe’s original “hookup”, sent Doe a text apologizing for how stuff “went down” that night. Doe, replied in kind:

aw jonathan i really appreciate this text. my memories super clouded too. i think we were all way to f–king drunk and high.”-Jane Doe

Way to (sic) f–king drunk and high? This girl got admitted to CORNELL. And, like, aw…Jonathan. Such a sweet guy doing damage control for him and his bros after telling them there was “free p-ssy upstairs”. After joking with his “brothers” about having an eight-some with her. After his frat brother, the freaking PRESIDENT of the fraternity, told guys to come on up and “whip it out” in that group text of Chi Phi actives. WHATTA DREAMBOAT. Moving on…

Making memories. I can see these two at the Parents Weekend Greek Row tailgate now. “Jane” (to husband): Meet Jonathan. I did ketamine off his private member in a wild night some years back.”

As I’ve mentioned before, these guys are not “gentlemen”, they’re downright disgusting. But, whether she was “processing” or she truly felt a “closeness” with two guys upstairs in a frat house, Jane Doe’s texts can be a damning, cautionary tale to women about straight-up bad decisions.

Jane Doe did not claim to be the victim of a gang rape until she was disinvited to the Chi Phi’s Halloween party. Becoming a social outcast on the biggest party weekend of the year on Greek Row can be a death sentence for some, and enough to cause one scorned female to go scorched earth. All of a sudden, “our body, our choice asf” became gang rape. Which begs the question, what did she have a hard time “processing”? The lewd and disgusting acts she put her body (her choice) through or the utter embarrassment of being a social exile?

As a parent to a young man who is in college who was, at one time, considering Greek Life, I would love to say that this toxicity does not exist. That college life is filled with idyllic experiences of freedom (whatever that means to you), meeting your best friends who will be at your wedding, meeting your soulmate, going on spring break with your besties, formals and the best parties. I was, at one point, for him joining a fraternity for the “perfect” college experience. But, after a professor cautioned his potential students about the intensity of his classes and that most of the failing grades came from the brothers on Greek Row, our son came to his own conclusions and decided to forgo rushing. At times, it’s been a lonely road for him on an occasional weekend. Our son, on the other hand, has been very candid about his experiences. He is, smart, good-looking and indeed, a gentleman and has been to enough parties on Greek Row to be at peace with his decision. As a “geed” (Greek term for God-D*mn Independent”), he says the current culture is toxic, time consuming and cultish, even. And, sadly, the guys are not the only players here. Some of the young women have the buy in and they are active participants or even complicit in the corruption, lies and immorality.

Which begs all of the questions. If Jane Doe was so intoxicated around her “house mom” and fellow “sisters” at a bar, why did they let her walk by herself to the Chi Phi house? If the Chi Phi house was too busy downstairs, and Jane Doe went upstairs with these guys, where were the other women at this party? Did they all stay downstairs or was it a complete sausage fest? I am willing to bet that there were women at that house that night who saw something and they are NOT talking. And, let’s address the biggest elephants in the room here. The overarching theme of substance abuse.

Now, I’ve done some homework here. Let’s talk about “social fees” for these Greek houses. Not membership fees. Not housing fees. The “social fees”. These “social fees” are not on the books and are paid for IN CASH. Why? Because “social fees” contribute to the purchase of alcohol (read: underage drinking as some of the underage brothers fork out more $$ for the social fee) AND, quite possibly, other substances. The houses do not want this on their ledgers. Why? Because there is, indeed, a street-to-Greek-Row-drug pipeline that every university tends to push under the table and none of the alumni discuss. People have tried to bring it out and were hit with cease-and-desist letters from these organizations. Alcohol, drugs and substance abuse is the gross underbelly of Greek Row Beast USA that no one wants to talk about and the powerful machines behind these letters want to squash like a bug.

Data from a 10-year study about Greek life alcohol and drinking statistics revealed that:

Of a national fraternity of 3,400 members, 97% drank alcohol regularly and 64% identified as binge drinkers.

Statistics from other surveys show the direct effects of substance use in Greek organizations. Each year:

Around 500,000 members suffer unintentional injuries related to substance use
70,000 cases of sexual assault and acquaintance rape
1,400 members die from alcohol-related causes

Just recently, The University of Arizona suspended fraternity activities. Whatever is there to do? Ahead of Halloweekend! Whether the university is serious about cracking down or just posturing, only time will tell.

I feel for our kids, I really do. The tale of Cornell is not the makings of “the glory days”. It is also not the “best years of one’s life”. But universities partner with fraternities and sororities and sell it as such. Alumni are also at fault for doing so and avoiding the very serious conversations that need to be had because they don’t want their good times to end. In truth, this goes beyond bad decisions. This also marks and illustrates a severe shift in priorities (education) and a deviation from all self-respect and morality on both sides. It is decay of humanity at its finest.

Fall on College Campus, USA means it is the time for revealing “Halloweekend” (out)fits and cute little formal pics with cliche, contrived poses of girls in the same color dress and frat boys cosplaying as “gentlemen” will take over on Instagram. (Don’t worry, the group text for free sex comes later in the night.) The unsaid statement to some of these young people whose frontal lobes are still undeveloped is, “if you’re not THIS, you’re missing out. If you’re not THIS, you’re a freaking loser.” And let’s also throw in football season where alumni dads ogle (I’ve heard the comments) these same girls donning their cowboy boots and short-shorts, butt cheeks hanging out for the world to see, yearning for a glimpse of their “glory days”. Honestly, I stopped counting butt cheeks at a college football game few weeks ago.

Degrading and disgusting? Yes. And, corrupt asf. Happy Friday. Here’s to making “Geed” Great Again. Now, where’s my tequila shot?

Twenty-two years ago, Mx. Jessica co-founded the late and unlamented Feministing and her obsession with abortion — pro-abortion with no restrictions on age of mom or age of baby in the womb — became immediately apparent. Indeed, Valenti, as recently as her 2024 book, reiterates her position that abortion is a “moral good” and she rejects the old pro-choice position that abortion should be “safe, legal and rare.”

I mean, the old gal has a whole Substack site entitled Abortion, Every Day in case you missed out on what she considers the most valuable thing you could ever do — Kill The Unborn.

But since this message isn’t getting enough traction in political arena, Mx. Jessica wants Democrats to pivot on the narrative that centered abortion in the social issues realm. Her new schtick is that killing unborn babies is a matter of affordability.

They have looked at the last several election cycles, noticed that hammering voters over what they call “reproductive rights” didn’t deliver the blue wave they expected, and concluded that the problem was messaging — not the killing of the babies!

Oh, yeah, this is the perfect kitchen table issue … Joe and Sue sitting down at the kitchen table for dinner with little Chloe to talk about how they’ll be unable to take that Disney cruise with Chloe unless they decide to scrap 19-week-gestation-old little bro …

Was that too flip? Well, Jessica is fast to talk about “forced pregnancy”, “massive medical debt”, and losing an organ cuz pregnancy is the worst thing that can happen to a woman! RHEEEE! However, something like 95+% abortions are done within the first 12 weeks and by healthy women aborting healthy unborn babies for convenience. Jessica wishes to focus on the small number of medical issues because it makes for good press when many pro-life people actually struggle with the hard cases. And as the saying goes, hard cases make for bad law.

Jessica would have bad law that there be absolutely no restriction on abortion. None. She’s even willing to talk about her own abortion at 28 y/o and how it led to the wonderful life she currently lives — hubby, daughter, no financial worries. She maintains that none of it would have happened without the killing of an unborn child.

Jessica is probably right about a different future. So what? All individual decisions in life affect our futures. We can all look back at things we’ve done — jobs taken, colleges chosen — and know if we made a different decision, met different people, our lives would look quite different. A 28 y/o Jessica had no clue what her future would be when she showed up for the abortion. The only certainty was that particular child that existed at that particular moment would no long have any future of his or her own.

Abortion is SELFish.

Jessica loves to lecture about bodily autonomy, but she never gave her own unborn child his/her own. Mx. Cosseted Leftist is really not a deep thinker at all. Pretty sad she’s gotten to 47 years of age and is still at the emotional level of a uncivilized toddler.

This is exactly who you vote for when voting for Democrats.

With this in mind, I’m taking the liberty of rewriting Trump’s comments, because he definitely could have been more clear. I’ve put words of my own in square brackets in an attempt at more clarity, creating, I believe, a common sense interpretation of what he was trying to say:

It’s [temporary higher prices] a small price to pay for keeping the world safe, keeping our country safe. They [Iran] can [will be capable of ] take [ing] out a city [if we allow them to develop nuclear weapons]. Let them [Iran] take, let it, let them take out Los Angeles. Let them take out San Diego [and see if people still feel that some temporary higher gas prices are too high a price to pay to make sure Iran never gets a nuke]. That’s, this [higher gas prices] is a very small price to pay [to save our major cities from the threat of nuclear war], and it’s gonna be over very soon [the war and higher gas prices]. It’s essentially almost over with.

This isn’t a direct quote from Trump, and I very much don’t think it’s a correct paraphrase. Trump has repeatedly argued that the consequences of the war, like higher gas prices, are a small price to pay compared to what an unchecked Iran could allegedly do. Last night, in especially rambling and incomplete fashion, he 1) claimed high prices are temporary and suggested they’re “artificial”; 2) contrasted that to the damage of Iran supposedly taking out a city; 3) and then, in especially confusing style, repeated his old point that “this,” as in the consequences of the war, is a small price to pay to avoid something like a a city being wiped out.

It’s Trump’s fault you kinda have to be steeped in TrumpRallySpeak to know what he was saying last night, and of course you can say it’s inappropriate regardless for the president to casually float the possibility of a city being wiped out, but the context exists and is important.

The Tennessee death row inmate was supposed to calmly go into the night after being sentenced to death for killing a classmate in a jealous rage in January of 1995. Instead, she was heard snoring and later rushed to medical attention. Despite being unable to move her arms due to blown-out veins and having limited mobility, Pike got out of the hospital bed yesterday. She apparently wavers between lucidity and confusion.

She is angry and confused about everything right now. She is very aware that the state tried to execute her.”

Oh, she is angry? This is what Pike’s attorney, Randall Spivey, told reporters after a court hearing yesterday. She is angry. What says the family of Colleen Slemmer? What says Colleen Slemmer? Oh, right. She is not available for comment. She was lured into the woods, dragged, beaten till her face was unrecognizable, stripped from the waist up, slashed, had a pentagram carved on her chest and brutally left for dead. Why? Because Christa Pike was a jealous little girl acting out of pure rage. I’m sorry, but, I am having a hard time with this “she’s angry” bit.

Yes because we really care about the feelings of a murdering psychopath.

And she is still angry. Read: she defeated death and she still has no remorse. No gratitude for God sparing her life. None. A waste of space on this earth.

Perhaps Christa Pike is angry that the execution team dod not finish the job. They utterly failed at the assignment they were given. Or, did they? A judge recently ordered Tennessee officials to preserve syringes and other evidence. Pike was administered two doses of pentobarbital using at least 7 needles. One of these needles came out of her arm bent at a 90-degree angle. Okay, in a word, ouch. But sympathy for the devil incarnate? I have none.

No, they do not. I suspect this will drag on forever. Christa Pike will have her “long recovery”. She will be a drain on the state of Tennessee. Residents will pay for her medical care and rehabilitation. People will set up GoFundMe’s and the left will argue that the Death Penalty is inhumane. The only silver lining in this is that Christa Pike’s hell on earth is prolonged by inhibited function, frustration and personal self-loathing. But, considering the woman has not had much in the way of mental acuity (stable humans don’t kill other humans) or any remorse in 31 years, I doubt this is the case.

I can’t with these lawyers. Yay, Christa! You’re up and “with it”! Mr. Ferrell? Christa Pike was never “with it”. Killing another human being in an animalistic ritual and (animals are actually better beings) fit of jealous rage is not a sign of someone who is “with it” at all. If one can lose their train of thought to the point of paranoia and anger, prompting them to torture and kill another person and carve a demonic symbol on their chest, that person is not “with it”. That person is sick. So, spare me the cheerleading squad for satan.

Forgive me, because I’m feeling a little mean today. Christa Pike forgets where she is going?! That’s hilarious. Most of us know where she is going…eventually.
