Tennessee State Democrat Lawmakers have been removed from the committee assignments by Speaker of the Statehouse Cameron Sexton, Republican. These adults had misbehaved during a legislative session. Tennessee Democrats and their media adjuncts show the truth of their infantilism by the bad behavior in their reaction. They are toddlers railing against “NO” but unable to use their words and acting out spoiled children.

For reference, I asked AI to render descriptions of signs of spoiled adults:

Self-absorption and self-centeredness – Prioritizing your own needs over others’.

Entitlement – Believing you deserve more than others, or that the world owes you something simply because you exist.

Poor impulse control – Acting on emotions without considering the impact on others Psychology Today.

Struggle with failure – Difficulty accepting criticism or setbacks because they’ve been shielded from them.

Lack of gratitude – Taking things for granted and rarely acknowledging others’ contributions.

Boundary violations – Giving in to demands without considering limits.

Manipulative or attention-seeking behavior – Creating drama or picking fights to get what they want Power of Positivity.

Emotional escalations – Reacting with anger, blame, or name-calling when frustrated Psychology Today.

Tennessee Democrats are known for this kind of behavior. Three years ago, Justin Jones, Justin Pearson and Gloria Johnson (GloJo) acted out and broke rules to protest gun violence as shown in the photo above. Jones and Pearson lost their seats while GloJo kept her seat by one vote. Jones and Pearson were later voted back in.

Here is their latest infantilism that provoked the House Speaker from The Washington Examiner:

Tennessee Democratic lawmakers in the state House have been removed from leadership positions as punishment for how they carried out fiery protests against Republicans’ redistricting agenda.

Republican Speaker of the House Cameron Sexton removed Democratic lawmakers from all House standing committees and subcommittees until next session, “except where membership is required.” The development affects multiple lawmakers, including state Reps. Justin Pearson, Justin Jones, Gabby Salinas, Gloria Johnson, and Aftyn Behn. One letter sent to Democratic House Leader Karen Camper stated that she would remain on the Government Operations Committee only as required by House rules.

In a letter, Sexton said that the lawmakers took actions “aimed at disrupting the democratic and legislative processes and creating disorder” on the House floor, including “instigating and encouraging disruptions of the legislative process in coordination with paid protestors and attendees in the gallery.”

Here they are marching out of the chamber:

There are longer videos but this one is long enough for you to get the drift.

Speaker Cameron Sexton sent a letter to the Minority Leader advising him that lawmakers were being removed from committees.

BREAKING: Notice has just been given to Democrats in the Tennessee House that all members of the Democrat Caucus are being removed from all standing committees and subcommittees as a result of their behavior in the statehouse during the redistricting debates last week, which… pic.twitter.com/ZhJpMiO7RQ

Here is more from my local Knoxville News Sentinel (Knox News):

House Speaker Cameron Sexton removed every member of the House Democratic Caucus from committees after Democrats stood in the well in protest as Republicans voted to pass new congressional maps that fractured Black voting power in Memphis.

House Democrats received individual letters from Sexton informing them they’d been removed from committees on May 12 — until further notice.

Knoxville’s Democratic members reacted in frustration.

State Rep. Sam McKenzie told Knox News stripping elected officials from committees where bills are shaped is a “dangerous game.”

McKenzie cited his time on the House Education Committee, where he was a leading advocate for accountability measures for Gov. Bill Lee’s school choice vouchers.

snip–

State Rep. Gloria Johnson said the move from Sexton was predictable.

“We were protesting maps that destroyed representation in Memphis,” Johnson, another Knoxville Democrat, said. “The speaker’s response was to deny representation. His only response is to deny representation.”

Johnson said Sexton was acting as if the members who were removed from committees are the only people affected by his move.

“Each person he kicked off committees represents 70,000 people,” Johnson said. “The committees are education, they are health, they are criminal justice, civil justice. Everything that affects your lives is gone over in these committees.”

Well, GloJo, you and the other Tennessee Democrats should have thought about that BEFORE you acted up.

Here is Justin Pearson verbally threatening a Tennessee Trooper. It could be that voice yelling “Pig” is Representative Gloria Johnson there with Pearson.

I am officially calling for the arrest, prosecution and jailing of Tennessee State Rep. Justin Pearson.

This is Justin Pearson ten years apart. Broaddrick is right; Pearson went to the Jasmine Crockett code-switching school.

These people are all fools. They need to grow up. Their ideas are wrong, so they won’t win, but at least they won’t make fools of themselves or their voters.

Today’s Walter Duranty, Nicholas Kristoffof the New York Times, is at it again. This time with a vile op-ed 3,500 word piece claiming that Israeli forces and prison guards have been raping prisoners, men and women, for years. He goes even further to state, uncritically and with ZERO evidence, that Israeli forces have trained dogs to rape.

Yes, you read that correctly. This is directly from his op-ed.

Some of the worst sexual abuse appears to have been directed at prisoners from Gaza. A Gaza journalist shared with me his account of the abuse he suffered after he was detained in 2024.

~Snip

Other Palestinian prisoners and human rights monitors have also cited reports of police dogs being coached to rape prisoners. The journalist said that when he was released, an Israeli official warned him: “If you want to stay alive when you return, do not speak to the media.”

So why was he willing to speak?

“There are moments when remembering feels unbearable,” he said. “My heart felt it might stop while talking to you about it just now. But I remember there are people still in there. So I speak up.”

Believe me, Kristof goes into greater detail that what I linked here.

There are multiple problems with this vile evil bilge that Kristof wrote and the New York Times published.

First, there’s not one single named source in either of his op-eds.

Secondly, Kristof got the majority of his information from organizations tied to HAMAS.

Kristof tells the story of an unnamed 23-year-old Palestinian woman who contends she was arrested after Oct. 7, strip-searched, mocked, tied up, beaten, and then molested and likely raped by Israelis. The Israelis, the woman tells Kristof, wanted to “crush her spirit,” a curiously political statement for an alleged rape victim.

In any event, Kristof not only fails to provide the woman’s name, but he offers no other witness, no complaint, no medical evidence from an Arab doctor, no photos of bruises, nothing but the accusation. Did the columnist ever verify that the woman had been detained? Because Kristof doesn’t tell us in which prison this woman was purportedly held, or why she was arrested, or even when. Any competent journalist would have heard blaring sirens when a story leaves out any detail that could be used to launch a genuine investigation. It’s difficult to believe that’s an accident. Yet, Kristof treats all the allegations as fact.

Then again, even the named sources Kristof relies on are highly problematic.

Sami Sai, an introspective “freelance journalist” according to Kristof, is actually a Palestinian activist who publicly celebrated on Oct 7. Sai, who has been arrested numerous times for violent incitement, has an evolving story about allegedly being raped.

Another “source” is longtime Palestinian activist and media favorite Issa Amro, who also has an ever-changing story about his time in an Israeli prison. In a 2024 Washington Post piece, for example, Amro very specifically claimed that he was threatened with sexual assault while in Israeli detention. In Kristof’s column, he has morphed into a victim of rape.

One of his main sources is EuroMed Human Rights Monitor. They are a verified, Qatari-based HAMAS front. Kristof KNOWS that and accepted their dubious sourcing anyway. Then again, Kristof has made it abundantly clear over the years that he hates Israel with the passion of a thousand suns.

I appreciate the intense interest in my column. For skeptics, why not agree on Red Cross and lawyer visits for the 9,000 Palestinian "security" prisoners? If you think these abuse allegations are false, such monitoring visits would be protective. So why not? https://t.co/AwSMvC13jN
— Nicholas Kristof (@NickKristof) May 12, 2026

Kristof knows damned good and well that the Red Cross never EVER visited any of the October 7 hostages. Their only role was that of taxi drivers!

Why now? Why this horrifically vile piece painting Israel as a land of rapists, who even supposedly use dogs to rape?

Because the very next morning a full 300 page report was published. A report that laid out in excruciating detail the torture and rape of the October 7 hostages by HAMAS. Moreover, this report, “Silenced No More,” is the result of a two-year investigation by an independent commission with no ties to Israel, Hamas, Gaza, the United States.

The investigation also documents how perpetrators weaponized visibility and digital dissemination as part of the violence itself, including sexualized content. Armed groups recorded acts of abuse, humiliation, and killing, and circulated the footage through social media platforms and victims’ own digital accounts. In numerous cases, family members first learned of the fate of their loved ones through images or videos distributed by perpetrators. This deliberate use of digital media transformed acts of violence into instruments of psychological warfare directed not only at victims but also at families and society at large.

The sexual violence continued beyond the attacks themselves. The report documents testimonies from released hostages and other sources demonstrating how sexual assaults, sexual humiliation, and sexualized torture persisted during captivity in Gaza for prolonged periods. In some cases, the sexual and gender-based abuse of hostages continued for months.

In addition to documenting individual crimes, the report identifies a distinct pattern of violence targeting family members and exploiting familial relationships as instruments of terror. In several documented incidents, victims were sexually assaulted or humiliated in the presence of relatives, and in one of the documented cases family members were coerced into participating in acts of abuse against one another. These acts reflect what the Commission characterizes as kinocidal sexual violence – violence deliberately designed to destroy the family as a social and emotional unit by weaponizing the bonds between family members.

That is just the summary of the report. HAMAS gleefully filmed the torture, rape, and sexual abuse of the Israeli hostages. The report has all of that, it has named witness testimony and more. It’s a horribly painful read. It’s a must read.

Especially in light of the fact that A. The New York Times said no to publishing anything about the report. And B. Kristof then published his vile anti-Israel sewage knowing full well that the “Silenced No More” report was going to publish the very next day. This from Fox News’ Eve Barlow:

The New York Times had to publish something so outrageously demented about Israel to distract the masses from the seismic barbarism that would be revealed today; a report that has been two and a half years in the making. The New York Times had to refresh their dehumanization agenda against Israel to ramp up their readers’ confirmation bias ahead of the despicable, cruel – and yes undeniable – testimony that they have actively sought to diminish since Hamas committed the worst atrocities against Jews since the Holocaust. They’ve picked their side, and it’s not that of truth. Let’s bankrupt them.

The report includes 1,800 hours of video, 10,000 photos, and testimony from over 430 people.

What does Nicholas Kristof have? Anonymous sources and information from verified Hamas-led organizations. This wasn’t journalist malpractice. This was evil written in bold print.

I just explained to a non-media person that Nick Kristof claimed the IDF is training dogs to rape Palestinians… in the NYT… in the opinion section… based on Hamas sources…

And timed it to front-run a report today about Hamas using sexual violence as a deliberate tactic
— Lydia Moynihan (@LydiaMoynihan) May 13, 2026

He’s continuing a 25-year pattern of publishing information that is false. He’s had to issue retractions before. He’ll likely have to do the same for this. What I wouldn’t give for this modern day Walter Duranty to be fired. But it’s the New York Times. It won’t happen.

https://t.co/860eTKMugW pic.twitter.com/xsqFyP3ptS
— NYTimes Communications (@NYTimesPR) May 12, 2026

The NY Times fired publishers and others over Tom Cotton’s op-ed that held very mainstream views. But they go to bat for Nicholas Kristof because they agree with his peddling of this anti-Semitic bilge.

Kristof claims in his NY Times bio that tough responsible journalism is necessary but not at the expense of fairness and truth. Well, with this piece, he took any remains journalistic ethics he had and stomped on it. Then lit it on fire for good measure.

Abdid Wahid Mohamed, the owner of Minnesota Food Grocery LLC, allegedly used EBT cards registered to others to purchase items at Sam’s Club and Costco in 2021 before turning around and reselling them in his store, Fox 9 Minneapolis reported.

Authorities in Hennepin County say they observed Mohamed making purchases and followed him back to his store with the goods. Surveillance footage and GPS data backed this up, while investigators noted that many of the EBT cardholders were either out of the country or say they never shopped at the stores he used. “-Andrew Mark Miller, Fox News

There’s the Daycare fraud…

There was Ilhan Omar’s “winery”. The Housing Stabilisation Services (HSS) program. The Early Intensive Developmental and Behavioural Intervention (EIDBI) autism-services program.

The numbers are enormous. The tactics were intricate. And the stakes, investigators warn, stretch from Minneapolis to Mogadishu.

Federal officials now describe the state as facing one of the largest welfare-fraud waves in U.S. history, with some stolen funds allegedly reaching al-Shabaab, the Somali terrorist group.

The scale of the fraud is staggering. However, the intricacies of the scheme unveil a more profound issue – a sophisticated system that exploited compassion and transformed state programmes into global cash conduits.”-Getty Soila, Gottanews

Now, one million dollars in SNAP/EBT fraud is just a drop in the bucket when compared to hundreds of millions of dollars but it’s still abuse of a federal program that is designed to help families in need.

But while some Somali shysters tried to mask their millions behind a “Quality Learning Center”, either Abdidwahid Mohamed is that dumb or he simply doesn’t care about stealing in plain sight under the guise of “Minnesota Food Grocery, LLC“.

Tim Walz’s office was also reached for comment. No comments whatsoever. Shocked, I tell you I am.

It’s laughable that SNAP is the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. Back in the day, we called it “food stamps”. SNAP has come a long way since blocks of government cheese. Now, “recipients” can give their cards to their fellow Somali “cousins”, make a run and get cases of Monster from Sam’s Club to mark up for sale in their convenience stores. More cheddar. Abdid Wahid Mohamed used EBT cards of recipients who were out-of-country for his Sam’s Club haul. If you’re pausing to re-read the previous sentence that I just wrote, yes. These recipients were OUT OF COUNTRY. For how long? Who knows? But they still received SNAP benefits. And Abdid the Grocery Store Owner? Well, he could do up to 20 years in prison or be hit with a $100,000 fine for this fraud. How much do any of you want to wager that he’ll walk away from 20 years in the slammer, get the fine and chalk it up to the cost of doing business? He’ll live another day in this great country of ours selling overpriced energy drinks from his “store”.

For sure, this is not your grandmother’s Minnesota. This is not ice-fishing Jack Lemmon and Walter Mattau’s Minnesota. This is the Minnesota ushered in by Tim Walz, Ilhan Omar, Amy Klobuchar and Keith Ellison, to name a few. I see a new version of Monopoly coming soon. Forget Boardwalk and Park Place. The person who buys the daycare, the winery, the Safari Restaurant and the grocery store and builds upon it makes bank and wins the game. We can call it Somaliopoly.

Joking aside, it may be high time that rules for SNAP recipients change. Honestly, the whole system nationwide needs an overhaul. For starters, applying in person and demonstrating a need for the benefits could be a viable option for curbing this fraud and should be a mandate in the future. Sending the fraudsters back to Somalia may be a close second solution. No court appearances. No prison time. No fines. Do not pass GO. Do not collect SNAP. Go (back) to Somalia, Go directly (back) to Somalia. Let’s start with Ilhan. We’ll even give her one of Abdid Wahid Mohamed’s Monsters for the journey and maybe she can take a few friends with her. I, for one, volunteer the ever-so-silent on the matter Mr. and Mrs. Walz. We know they’d prefer China, but I am sure Gwen would welcome the smell of burning “touchstone” tires on the streets of Mogadishu.

Kash Patel and Chris Van Hollen had quite the conversation during today’s Senate Appropriations hearing. All over Patel’s supposed drinking problem.

The hearing was supposed to be about the FBI’s 2027 budget request. Instead, per usual, the Democrats went off the rails altogether.

Democratic lawmakers on Tuesday pressed FBI Director Kash Patel over a media report that episodes of excessive drinking ‌interfered with his ability to lead the premier U.S. law enforcement agency, drawing an angry response from Patel.

At a hearing before a Senate budget panel, Patel defended his leadership of the FBI against Democratic accusations that his conduct, including the reported drinking, had undermined national security and demonstrated poor judgment.

It was Patel’s first appearance before Congress since his beer-drinking celebration at the Milan Winter Olympics and the publication of an article in the Atlantic magazine drew renewed scrutiny to his tenure. Both matters were raised in the hearing.

Patel testified in support of the Trump administration’s proposed $12.5 billion 2027 budget for the FBI and defended his performance, saying violent crime had fallen over the past year while FBI arrests had increased.

Keep in mind, the drinking story peddled by the Atlantic, who has a huge ax to grind with Patel and President Trump, was a hit job very thinly disguised as journalism. Patel is suing and the discovery involving all those anonymous sources is going to be fun to watch.

Furthermore, while he was overly excited and honestly shouldn’t have been chugging beer with the mens Olympic hockey team, I can totally understand the excitement of the time. As do many others who deal in reality, instead of living inside a bubble of blinding animosity towards President Trump.

The Democrats in that hearing weren’t concerned about the 2027 budget request. They were more concerned about the salacious stories regarding Patel’s drinking and handing out bottles of bourbon.

Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.) asked about the number of FBI personnel that had been dispatched to work on immigration matters, a figure she said the CATO Institute pegged at over 2,000. And she also asked about reports that the FBI has been using its personal to investigate reporters who have written about Patel – something he flatly denied.

That includes a report from MSNOW that the FBI was probing the Atlantic reporter who initially wrote about Patel, Sarah Fitzpatrick. The Atlantic subsequently published another report detailing that Patel had given out personalized bourbon bottles.

“We need serious leadership at the FBI that the American people can trust. And I am deeply concerned about the reports that your leadership has not been serious. We need somebody at this agency who’s focused on solving criminal cases, not passing out branded bourbon, or jetting around the globe. Your job is to be reachable,” she said.

Where it really got fun was when it was Chris Van Hollen’s turn to grandstand.

LMFAO! Kash Patel just absolutely EVISCERATED Dem. Sen. Chris Van Hollen to his FACE for having drinks with Kilmar Abrego Garcia

“The only person that was slinging margaritas in El Salvador on the taxpayer dollar with a convicted gang-banging RAPlST was YOU!”

pic.twitter.com/VnzvluKYbk
— Nick Sortor (@nicksortor) May 12, 2026

Honestly, I cannot stop laughing at this. Hollen looked like he’d sucked on a lemon after Patel dunked him. There are no real sources for the stories about Kash Patel’s drinking. But Chris Van Hollen was on camera and published his little margarita fest with Kilmar Abrego Garcia, and asked for applause while doing so.

After getting schooled on margaritas, Hollen returned to the ‘it was the Salvadoran government’s fault’ defense.

Van Hollen said at a press conference after he returned from the country in April of last year that a Salvadoran government official “deposited two other glasses on the table.”

Van Hollen noted Abrego Garcia’s glass appeared to have less in it to give the impression that he’d been drinking out of it.

“Let me just be very clear: Neither of us touched the drinks that were in front of us,” he said at the time.

Van Hollen and the other Democrats were yelling at Patel for anonymously sourced stories and downing a celebratory beer while on camera. But it’s ok for Van Hollen to have a sit down on camera with an illegal alien who is also facing charges of drug and sex trafficking. If margaritas happen to be involved? No biggie.

As for other gotcha questions, you just know Van Hollen wasn’t expecting this answer!

This is NOT the answer Sen. Chris Van Hollen was expecting from FBI Director Kash Patel:pic.twitter.com/zPzROFI4ej
HOLLEN: Will you take the test to determine if you have a drinking problem?

PATEL: I'll take any test you're willing to take.

HOLLEN: I'll take it!

PATEL: Let's go,…
— Townhall.com (@townhallcom) May 12, 2026

By the way Chris, ‘I wasn’t drinking when the cameras were on!’ is silly defense. None of the Democrats acquitted themselves well today. As for Chris Van Hollen, he needs to take his margaritas and go home.

It’s humorous how such a polarizing publication such as Salon, and all of the writers contained within, claim they have a desire to “heal” democracy.

Take “journalist” and Senior Politics writer at Salon, Chauncey DeVega, for starters. Mr. DeVega throws out the flames and adds his musings in as kindling. War-monger Trump. Morally corrupt Trump. If we journey way back in the Time Machine, we’ll find more of Chauncey’s missives. Trump, the leader of the “White Supremacy Party“. Trump, King of The “Right Wing Sewer Dwellers“. And his take on Black Conservatives? “Professional Buck Dancing Blackface Artists” or “minstrels“.

No racism or judgement here, though. Chauncey, the (snort) educated democrat (with TDS) that he is, thinks there is room to have healing conversations between Democrats and Republicans, Liberals and Conservatives.

America is a broken political family. On the ground, this means that Democrats and Republicans, conservatives and liberals, do not live in the same neighborhoods or belong to the same organizations. They do not pray or worship together. They do not date or marry each other. They are not friends.

In America’s political imagination, Democrats live in big cities, are racially and ethnically diverse, and college-educated. Republicans live in rural America and are working class. Red State America has been fully MAGA-fied; big cities and blue states are dominated by ‘out of touch liberals,’ ‘the radical left’ and ‘wokeness.'”-Chauncey DeVega, Salon

DeVega goes on to discuss how Steve Radcliffe, a volunteer for Braver Angels, a nonprofit advocating political civility, and co-chair of the organization’s Oregon Rural-Urban Project, is attempting to establish a kind of exchange program where rural and urban residents visit each other’s communities, hoping they would formulate a set of bipartisan recommendations to the state legislature.

All in an effort to promote civility in a ‘hostile” environment of Conservative, small-town America.

Democrats live in big cities.

To rephrase DeVega’s assessment of Democrats and Republicans: Yes, Democrats live in big cities. The biggest and BLUEST have fallen victim to rioting, looting, trash, homelessness, drug addiction and heavy taxation-all results of policies brought on by “educated” Democrats and individuals who have fallen up into their positions because of DEI and not merit, hard work or, sadly, ability. But, moving on to DeVega’s assessment of Republicans:

Rural-America and “working class” (AKA, in their book, not educated). It doesn’t once dawn upon DeVega and his lot of ivory tower elitists that Republicans/Conservatives can possess post-graduate degrees? Nope. All have been (shudder) MAGA-fied.

This “healing” conversation is starting off quite well, don’t-cha-think? And while DeVega muses and imagines in some strange hippy-dippy sort of essay on civility, he is so out-of-touch with his own rhetoric that he can’t help himself. His utter disdain for middle America is palpable.

The road to the Age of Trump and American fascism goes straight through the divide between rural and urban America.

For decades, the Republican Party and the right-wing have weaponized ‘culture war’ issues such as ‘guns, god and abortion’ in combination with racism and white racial resentment — and hostility to non-white immigrants — and economic anxiety. The result has been an ‘us versus them’ narrative of ‘takers’, ‘welfare queens,’ ‘invaders’ and ‘out of control criminals’ in racially diverse urban centers and Democratic-led states, while rural parts of the country, which are majority white, are portrayed as being filled with patriots and ‘hard-working real Americans.'”-Chauncey DeVega, Salon

Sidebar: There’s a capital “G” in GOD, Chauncey.

Back to our regularly scheduled program. Wait, what? Who weaponized the culture war? This loon lumps fascism in with Americans’ desires for crime-free streets, no racial tensions and rewards for hard-working Americans. And, honestly, if you want a perfect picture of “us verses them”, let’s look back to 6 years ago, in the heat of pandemic. Straight through the divide, they went. Full force, using COVID-19 to fracture the economy, to destroy the American educational system, to ramp up racial tensions and rip apart friendships and even families. Small-town Republicans did NOT do this. The big-city, self-proclaimed “geniuses” did. And shame on some of us for letting them.

Let’s discuss. It’s true that we don’t pray or worship with them. That we don’t date or marry them. That we don’t break bread and hang out with them. Why? They told us they didn’t want us. They told us that if we voted a certain way, they would “unfriend” us and not come over for Thanksgiving dinner. They cussed us out on Facebook and other social media platforms. They screamed at the air, the sky, in our faces. They told us that our opinions were “uneducated” and that they did not matter and to shove ours where the sun didn’t shine. They told us that if we didn’t wear a mask that we were going to kill everybody. They told young women to be as promiscuous as they want to be and stay away from young men who are happy with being men and hold doors because “toxic masculinity”. They told our young men that they may like their lives better if they were “girls”. They produced a culture of delusional people who are all for assassinating a sitting President while advocating for illegal criminals, rapists, murderers even, to freely roam the streets and be a drain on society.

As America approaches its 250th anniversary of independence, the country feels more divided –– and more exhausted and broken — than at any point in recent memory. Worse, there are several generations of Americans who do not even know what a healthy civic and political life looks like in this country. Donald Trump’s two non-consecutive presidencies, and the years of dysfunction that preceded them, is the whole of their formative political experience.”-Chauncey DeVega

You think, Mr. DeVega? Really? He does have a point, though. There ARE generations who don’t know what a healthy civic and political life looks like in our REPUBLIC. Here’s the deal. Our future generations need to learn how to FIRST, read. SECOND, math. And, equally important, write their first and last names on a piece of paper at least once before graduating high school. Have the educators across the land take down the posters of the trite platitudes of virtue-signaling and political posturing in the classrooms and begin on neutral ground and watch what happens.

Former Navy Seal Cameron Hamilton has been nominated to head the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) again. He was Acting Director of FEMA until President Trump fired him last year for dragging his feet on dismantling the agency. Trump doesn’t usually bring back people he fires so what is up with that?

The AP had the story last night:

President Donald Trump nominated Cameron Hamilton Monday to lead the Federal Emergency Management Agency, a notable comeback for the former Navy SEAL who was fired from his role as FEMA’s temporary leader last year after he defended its existence.

His nomination comes as the Trump administration has increasingly signaled it is backing away from promises to dismantle FEMA, an agency that has faced withering criticism by the president. The nomination of Hamilton, who argued abolishing FEMA was not in the country’s best interests, is the latest indication of that change.

If confirmed, Hamilton would be the principal adviser to Trump and Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin on emergency management and FEMA’s first permanent administrator in Trump’s second term. The agency has gone through three temporary leaders, including Hamilton’s brief tenure from January to May 2025.

The gist of the story is that the former Navy Seal didn’t cotton to abolishing FEMA as he had promised and so Trump fired him. Hamilton didn’t think that would work out long term. Now Trump is having second thoughts about abolishing FEMA and Hamilton is coming back. FEMA is an unnatural disaster.

But…what if Trump didn’t fire Hamilton?

Cameron Hamilton, who was pushed out as FEMA Administrator by Noem last year, has been renominated to the post by President Trump. Great to see—Hamilton did great work at FEMA during the time he was there. pic.twitter.com/i9y1bKUEWX

— Dr. Ben Braddock (@GraduatedBen) May 11, 2026

Aha! Things are becoming very clear. Kristi Noem fired the Navy veteran. Hmmm. Chomping on some bits of this Politico article from last year may help:

Cameron Hamilton will probably be an asterisk in the history of President Donald Trump’s second term.

But the former Navy SEAL, whom Trump hired and fired as head of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, is writing his own chapter by highlighting what he says was administrative dysfunction following Trump’s assertion in January that FEMA should be abolished.

In a podcast interview, Hamilton revealed that he had a “very hostile relationship” with the Department of Homeland Security as officials pushed to shutter FEMA.

“The relationship with DHS and myself really became adversarial in a way that was really unnecessary,” Hamilton said Wednesday on the Disaster Tough Podcast in his first interview since being fired in May. Hamilton said he warned DHS officials that their comments about abolishing the agency was “really divisive language” and “extremely unwise.”

“That’s when the divide started to happen between myself and DHS leadership, [which was saying], ‘No, we don’t want it. We want it cut, shut down,’” recalled Hamilton, a conservative supporter of Trump. “My argument was, ‘This is extremely irresponsible.’”

Well, I am not a big fan of FEMA but I can see how loose talk would be a bad thing. More:

Hamilton did not name Noem during the hourlong interview, but he implicitly assailed her. Noem gave Hamilton a lie detector test in March to determine if he had leaked information about a private meeting between senior officials to POLITICO’s E&E News.

“They said in their statement my character, my judgment, my stability, my ethics were all in question,” Hamilton said of the DHS press office. “I wanted to choke some people, that’s for sure.”

“When my character started being attacked, and I was polygraphed … it became a very hostile relationship,” Hamilton said, adding that he passed the test “and there was no apology.”

Dayam, Kristi Noem has big cojones attacking a former Navy Seal that way. FEMA is under the umbrella of DHS. Noem is fired and Markwayne Mullin brings back Hamilton. Clear as a bell. Others beside Markwayne Mullin are happy about this new turn.

Former Navy Seal, Cameron Hamilton, has been nominated by President Trump to be FEMA Director FOR A 2ND TIME!!!!

Cameron was an EXTREMELY vocal critic of FEMA’s response in Western North Carolina and was fired by Kristi Noem last year.

Matthew Van Swol knows of what he speaks. There is this also:

Just a reminder of who Cameron Hamilton is…

He is our hero.

He is the only man who should run FEMA @POTUS @CameronVA https://t.co/ZO0Dk59zii

Sounds like Hamilton has a fan club. When people suffer a natural disaster than need on the spot help. Right away. I have always thought that should be at the state level. I am willing to be convinced that Federal is the right place.

Good luck and best wishes to Cameron Hamilton.

Mark Kelly keeps stepping in it. On Sunday he went into great detail about the state of our munitions stores. It wasn’t that he said they’ve been depleted since everything started with Iran, it’s that he told the world WHAT was depleted. Of course, the Arizona media danced around what he said.

Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly criticized what he calls a lack of strategy in the war with Iran, as well as the depleting stockpile of U.S. weaponry.

On CBS’s “Face The Nation,” Kelly says it will take years to replenish.

“This president got our country into this [war] without a strategic goal, without a plan, without a timeline, and because of that we’ve spent a lot of munitions,” Kelly said. “And that means the American people are less safe. Whether it’s a conflict in the western Pacific, with China or somewhere else in the world, the munitions are depleted.”

Kelly also called the Trump administration’s defense budget request of $1.5 trillion “outrageous,” and nearly equal to the total amount the rest of the world spends on defense.

Yes, he said that. But he also said a whole lot more.

After hearing the Pentagon classified brief on Iran war impact on US weapons stockpiles, Senator Mark Kelly says it is "shocking how deep we have gone into these magazines." He said the Tomahawks, ATACMS, SM-3, THAAD rounds, Patriot rounds, so those interceptor rounds to defend…
— Margaret Brennan (@margbrennan) May 10, 2026

“He said the Tomahawks, ATACMS, SM-3, THAAD rounds, Patriot rounds, so those interceptor rounds to defend ourselves have been hit hard. He says it’ll take years to replenish those stockpiles, which could affect a hypothetical US conflict with China.”

Read that again. After sitting in a CLASSIFIED briefing, Mark Kelly went on live TV and blabbed about information that he was given IN that classified briefing!

You know, of course, that Mark Kelly and the rest of the Seditious Six think he and they can get away with not only urging soldiers to refuse orders they don’t like, but can blab at will about classified information.

Needless to say, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth is …NOT pleased.

“Captain” Mark Kelly strikes again.

Now he’s blabbing on TV (falsely & dumbly) about a *CLASSIFIED* Pentagon briefing he received.

Did he violate his oath…again? @DeptofWar legal counsel will review. https://t.co/mPBZHxZqpr
— Pete Hegseth (@PeteHegseth) May 10, 2026

I’m not either. It’s called a classified briefing for a reason. Which specifically includes … keeping your trap shut. It does not include going on live TV and blabbing key information about our weapon and munition stockpiles.

By the way, those stockpiles didn’t just go POOF when everything hit the fan with Iran. Nope, this problem started with the Biden Administration shoveling ammunition and weaponry to Zelensky hand over fist every time he asked for more.

The media is going to bat for Kelly given how they are phrasing this issue.

An analysis from the Center for Strategic and International Studies found that the U.S. has used half of its inventory of munitions fighting Iran, and that it could take up to four years for the pre-war stock to be rearmed.

The Pentagon briefs members of Congress on classified materials behind closed doors, but it’s unclear whether Kelly violated any disclosure laws, as he did not get into specifics on the volume of weapons used or remaining in the CBS interview.

Hegseth has insisted the U.S. has sufficient ammunition to sustain fighting against Iran, though much of the anxiety inside defense circles is centered less on Tehran and more on the Pentagon’s ability to respond to another major conflict.

“That means the American people are less safe. Whether it’s a conflict with China or somewhere else in the world, the munitions are depleted,” Kelly said on CBS.

Kelly got pretty darned specific as to WHAT munitions and weaponry has been drained. To me, he skated on or tipped himself over the line with all of this. And then, today, he kept digging.

We had this conversation in a public hearing a week ago and you said it would take “years” to replenish some of these stockpiles. That’s not classified, it’s a quote from you. This war is coming at a serious cost and you and the president still haven’t explained to the American… https://t.co/q3wX9AjRzO pic.twitter.com/5q7Gg81Xtg
— Senator Mark Kelly (@SenMarkKelly) May 11, 2026

The problem with his assertion is that Secretary Hegseth did NOT go into any specifics during that hearing. He kept it very high level. Kelly, on the other hand, got was very detailed.

For those claiming Kelly simply repeated what @SecWar Hegseth said during his testimony. Wrong.

He named specific weapons & said this was a problem BASED ON the classified briefing he had received. This is an excellent description why that is dangerous,https://t.co/4pWrvO7fdz
— Jim Hanson (@JimHansonDC) May 11, 2026

Finally, you can darned well bet China is thrilled right now with Kelly blabbing about the state of specific weaponry and munitions. What he said on national tv is dangerous on all levels, but specifically to our soldiers and national security.

Time in the spotlight has become his oxygen. He’s not trying to prove a point. He just needs it. He is desperate. He’s got nothing else. He’s got nowhere else to go. Sound familiar?

Obama, the Community Organizer, had been promoted by the Chicago political machine, gave one good speech at the DNC and became a Senator. Then, on the thinnest of resumes, he was elected President. AND, he was articulate, according to Joe Biden.

Mr. Storybook did a lot of damage to the country in his fundamental transformation: The Beer Summit with Henry Louis Gates, the Little Sisters of the Poor, Obamacare, Operation Fast and Furious, spying on Donald Trump, just to mention a few.

Now, he won’t leave because he’s got nowhere else to go. If I didn’t have such a negative visceral reaction to him, I would feel sorry for Barack H. Obama. He can’t leave.

Josh Hammer wants to know “Why Won’t Barack Obama Go Away” in the Dailey Signal:

In 1921, Woodrow Wilson, the first of America’s four transformative progressive presidents, became the first president to remain in Washington and make the nation’s capital his permanent home after leaving office. In very mild defense of the man who did more than any other to establish the administrative state and thus pervert America’s carefully constructed constitutional design, Wilson had suffered a debilitating stroke two years prior that left him partially paralyzed and nearly blind. He died just a few years later, in 1924.

Former President Barack Obama, the nation’s fourth transformative progressive president (following Wilson, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and Lyndon B. Johnson), had no such excuse when he and his wife, Michelle, decided, like Wilson, to similarly make the District of Columbia’s tony Kalorama neighborhood their permanent home after leaving 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Surely, the physical proximity to the White House was one factor in the Obamas’ decision; the 44th president officially visited his former vice president there at least once, with perhaps other unofficial visits as well.

But convenience of his physical proximity to the White House aside, Obama’s residential decision has proven to be even more symbolically potent. The 44th president has declared that he is still here and he is not going anywhere.

BHO is going nowhere because he has got nothing to do. The elites will still kowtow before him, but normies have his number now. Remember when he campaigned for Kamala Harris and insulted Black men? From The Independent:

A former Democratic state senator has condemned Barack Obama’s “lecturing” of Black men after the former president claimed they were coming up with “excuses” not to vote for Vice President Kamala Harris because she’s a woman.

The former president, himself a Black man, urged other men of color to rally in support of the Democratic presidential candidate as he launched into a scathing critique upon hitting the campaign trail in Pittsburgh on Thursday.

He made reference to reports claiming that Harris is struggling to mobilize Black voters – which the former president says “seems to be more pronounced with the brothers” – and declared that the demographic isn’t OK with the idea of a female president.

It didn’t go over well:

Fox News anchor Jesse Watters described Obama’s remarks as “mansplaining,” the anchor wrote on X.

Former GOP Georgia Representative Vernon Jones rebuked on X: “I don’t have anything in common with Kamala. No Thanks BO, Blacks had enough of you and @KamalaHarris.”

Conservatives on social media were also quick to seize on the comments.

“Three weeks before an election and they sent daddy out there to lecture the children. Harris is in trouble,” one X user stated.

Another added: “I can’t stand that he thinks the ‘brothers’ owe their vote to Kamala, like he needs to lecture them for not falling in line. What a condescending, arrogant man.”

Michelle Obama goes to every microphone in the Universe to broadcast how irritating Barack is. His daughters are grown and gone. He has his Netflix products to develop. When he has to go to a golf course with no Presidential privilege, it’s hard. And hobbies?

Barack Obama, lacking much of a meaningful home life or other hobbies, spends his time trying to continue his political activities of yore. He will not run for president again, but he wants the next election and the future of the United States to be according to his goals. The US has always been different than Europe, and today, with Donald Trump at the helm, the differences are glaring. Even under Joe Biden, Americans rejected a “Disinformation Board” run by a weirdo lady whose fantasy was to close your X and Facebook accounts. The Europeans want to make it impossible for someone to express an opinion that has not been officially approved. We saw it with the early worries and complaints about the Covid mRNA vaccines. Thousands of YouTube videos were removed because they suggested that the vaccines might be dangerous. For Obama & Crew, controlling speech is the way to “save democracy”. Funny that countries that punished people who misspoke, like Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia, also liked to boast about their democratic elections. God-given rights of free speech and bearing arms are the two pillars against Obama and Friends’ unfriendly takeover of the United States.

Bah! Obama needs hobbies. More basketball? Too hard on the legs. Bowling is popular in Chicago. Cycling was not his jam. He could try woodworking or baking. Better yet, he could learn to code.

He’s got nowhere else to go, poor baby.

It was a big rake that slammed into their faces. HUGE. The LA County Federation of Labor has decided they don’t like Spencer Pratt. The organization, which has over 300 labor unions across LA under its umbrella, decided to spend $221K on an ad. This ad.

The LA County Federation of Labor has a new committee lined up to go after Spencer Pratt, and they are dropping an initial $221k on this video & an additional digital ad. pic.twitter.com/vJnHCDunPb
— Unrig LA (@UnrigLA) May 9, 2026

Let’s parse this out for a minute. First, the union classifies homeless as “unhoused.” As if the homeless just accidentally don’t have a roof over their head. No, the correct term IS homeless. And Spencer Pratt uses the definition accurately. Secondly, social workers have their place, but their role does NOT ensure the safety of the citizens of LA. That is the job of the police. Looks like the unions don’t want the citizens of LA to feel and be safe and secure in their homes, businesses, on the streets, or when using public transportation. Third, those public schools and getting them fully staffed? That funding doesn’t all come from LA. It comes from Sacramento and the federal government.

So yes, this ad is already biting the unions in the butt.

Especially when you consider that Pratt has been very clear. He wants the CURRENT laws on the books enforced.

The ad comes as Pratt’s mayoral bid has gained attention following his performance in a recent debate, where he drew notice for his blunt criticisms of city leadership and policy priorities, including the handling of homelessness and crime.

Pratt has emphasized issues such as homelessness, public safety and government spending throughout his campaign, positioning himself as a political outsider challenging the status quo in Los Angeles and drawing support from voters dissatisfied with current leadership.

He wants to clean up the regulatory mess that has left thousands of people, including he and his family, still trying to rebuild after the Eaton and Palisades fires.

Change the channel pic.twitter.com/mqBBaMK7JO
— Spencer Pratt (@spencerpratt) May 5, 2026

And track down the funding that was supposed to go to the people who lost their homes in the fires!

Spencer Pratt reveals the FireAid scam: $100 million raised for Palisades Fire victims… funneled to 200+ NGOs while homeowners got nothing.@spencerpratt "That's when I learned firsthand that these NGOs will take, right in your face, $100 million and just steal it." pic.twitter.com/pSt7Unz29Z
— jay plemons (@jayplemons) May 10, 2026

He wants the current laws enforced so that criminals don’t endanger people’s lives on repeat because of liberal activist judges.

Now THAT’S a campaign promise people can actually get behind. Americans want safe, clean cities not chaos, crime, and dysfunction dressed up as progress.
— BIG DADDY (@Bigdaddy_web3) May 10, 2026

Yet the unions put out this ad, that essentially tells LA and the world, that they are just fine with the status quo. They don’t want change. They LIKE Karen Bass and they really like how LA has been run these last few years. That’s … a $221K rake they stepped on.

Pratt wants to make things better for everyone, bring business and film back to LA, AND enforce the laws already on the books.

Pratt said he would use Los Angeles’ financial muscle to make it the ”number one city in the world” and intended to slash red tape and rubber-stamp projects.

“When I’m mayor there are going to be so many cranes in the city cause I’m going to be rebuilding,” he said.

“Just last week I probably met with ten billionaires that are ready to come in and build LA.”

Spencer Pratt said he’d spoken to prominent film and television producer Peter Chernin about how to help revive Hollywood if elected — and was told the key was backing independent filmmakers rather than trying to overhaul the entire entertainment industry from City Hall.

”He said, ‘Spencer, as mayor you are not going to be able to change the bigger picture of Hollywood — that’s more governor,” Pratt explained.

”But what you can do to really bring back jobs, bring back Hollywood, is bring back independent filmmakers, independent production, independent artists. If you prioritize the indies, you can have Hollywood booming in a tier that people didn’t see coming.”

Keep in mind, the 2028 summer Olympics is fast approaching. Yet businesses in downtown LA are closing their doors, partly due to the rampant crime that Karen Bass and the current city council refuses to address. Macys, Vans, Adidas, and major restaurants have been closing up shop since January 2025.

Mama Por Dios (6th & Flower)

Mama Por Dios, the high-energy “glam-Mexican” steakhouse that brought theatrical dining to the 6th Street corridor, shuttered in October 2025. Management pointed to a “perfect storm” of rising security expenses and a steep drop in late-night corporate foot traffic as the primary drivers for the final exit. Lauded as the undisputed crown jewel of Instagrammable dining, it was the venue famous for its lobster mac-and-cheese and theatrical, cotton-candy-topped cocktails.

Foot Locker (Broadway)

Foot Locker on Broadway, one of the last major retail anchors on the historic street, shuttered in October 2025. The company cited rising security costs and persistent retail theft as the primary drivers for the exit. Recognized as a vital retail hub for the local residential community, it was the anchor that marked the final withdrawal of major athletic brands from the district.

During last week’s debate, Karen Bass’s solution was to MAKE the companies still operating in downtown LA mandate that their employees return to the office instead of continuing to work virtually. She ignored the fact that most businesses cited crime as a key driver for their decision to leave.

This union ad, ignores that reality as well. More police who are given the ability to enforce current laws is what Spencer Pratt is championing. The unions, with this ad, have signaled their comfort with the status quo.

That’s a very big rake guys. HUGE.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had a long sit-down interview on “60 Minutes,” and I do mean LONG.

The aired version of the interview, which was conducted by Major Garrett, lasts about 14 and a half minutes.

The complete interview runs for more than an hour beyond that, clocking in at an hour and 18-plus minutes. For those of you with the time, it can be seen here. And this is where “60 Minutes” really does a disservice to Netanyahu. This interview was wide-ranging and deeply interesting, and deserved more than a tidy little quarter hour package. Netanyahu is a consequential world leader, and hearing his perspective on things, especially considering the status of events in the Middle East, is a big deal. The other problem with the interview is that Major Garrett is just terrible. He keeps talking over Netanyahu and jumping in to ask another question, even when the prime minister is answering his questions. This can be seen in the extended interview and read in the transcript. Garrett could not shut up while getting an answer. This was not a phone conversation or a press conference, this was an interview. You are supposed to ask a question, keep quiet while the interviewee is talking, take notes, THEN ask your follow up question.

And what Netanyahu was giving out were some real, concrete answers about the reality of war, the reality of what has to happen in Iran, and the reality of why all of this matters to the United States. First off, the reality is that Israel’s perspective on Iran was permanently changed on October 7, 2023. We know Iran backed Hamas, but they had also planned for Hezbollah to jump into the war and make Israel fight on two fronts. Fortunately, Israel was able to mount a defense to keep that from happening, along with evacuating whole cities in the north to keep them from being massacred and more hostages being taken. Hezbollah has been decimated by Operation Grim Beeper and the lack of help from Iran, but that part of the fight is not over.

PRIME MINISTER BENJAMIN NETANYAHU: Hezbollah had 150,000 ballistic missiles and rockets before the war. 150,000. That’s the densest concentration of these projectiles on the planet, and they were all aimed to destroy our cities. Not only to harass the north of the country–

MAJOR GARRETT: Right.

PRIME MINISTER BENJAMIN NETANYAHU: –with rockets, but to destroy our cities– Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa, you name it, with ballistic missiles that come raining down. You know, each one has half a ton or a ton of– explosives, and they come down, it’s like a bus coming down with amazing speed, and the destruction is terrible.

We destroyed the bulk of that. We destroyed about 90– more than 90% of that. But that still leaves them with thousands of– of rockets and– and some ballistic missiles. And that’s still a big issue. They still hold Lebanon hostage. Leb– Hezbollah is basically a proxy of Iran. Iran holds Lebanon. We have no quarrel with Lebanon. We could make peace with Lebanon and want to make peace with them tomorrow, no, yesterday. But you have this foreign body, this– this– Ira– Iranian-backed terrorist organization that hijacked the country.

MAJOR GARRETT: Right. And the Lebanese government has a history of being in– incapacitated or unable.

PRIME MINISTER BENJAMIN NETANYAHU: Right.

MAJOR GARRETT: So when you’re negotiating with the Lebanese government, many people are confused, “How does that solve the Hezbollah problem?”

PRIME MINISTER BENJAMIN NETANYAHU: Well, it doesn’t. Not yet. So we’ve had to go into Lebanon to prevent a repeat of the invasion we had in Gaza. You know, October 7th, Hamas invaded us, butchered our– our men, beheaded– our men, raped our women and then killed them, burnt our babies, did the worst massacre against the Jewish people since the Holocaust.

And guess what? On the other border, Hezbollah from Lebanon was planning to do even more. They had 5,000– Radwan Force terrorists ready to invade the Galilee. So we pushed them back. We’ve got a security belt now that prevents ’em from doing that or shooting anti-tank missiles into our kitchens, into our living rooms. But it’s not over yet. We have– we still have– missiles. We have drones, killer drones. We have to deal with that. Now, if we are– let me tell you, the Lebanese would like us to do that. Many, you know? They talk–

MAJOR GARRETT: Eradicate Hezbollah?

PRIME MINISTER BENJAMIN NETANYAHU: Oh, yeah. Because they want freedom. Who’d want a country to be taken over by these killers and these murderers? Of course they want to be free. But they’ve not shown yet the capacity to fight them. What we’re talking to them about is, “How do we work together to militarily and politically, possibly splitting up the work, to get rid of Hezbollah?” It’s not yet been done. It has to be done as well.

Netanyahu goes on to point out that Iran has tried to claim that a ceasefire with them also extends to Hezbollah, something which the United States and Israel have agreed is not happening. October 7th forever altered the Israeli perspective on Iranian proxies.

Netanyahu: “Before the October 7th, I was considered perhaps the most restrained Prime Minister in Israel’s history. I was conceived as being politically tough, but militarily very restrained.

Obviously, it changed on October 7th because they were going to annihilate us. I didn’t think it was just an attack by Hamas. I saw it as it was, an attack by the Iran axis to try to annihilate us through a noose of death.

And I said on the second day of the war, I said, we’re going to change the Middle East. We’re going to change this condition where they’re ganging up on us, thinking they’re going to wipe out the one and only Jewish state, wipe out 3,500 years of Jewish history. It’s not going to happen. Not on my watch. And I said to the Israeli citizens, not on your watch.”

As far as Iran goes, Netanyahu made it clear that he agrees with President Trump: the war ends when Iran gives up its enriched uranium and nuclear ambitions.

MAJOR GARRETT: So this war– this war cannot end until all those things are eliminated?

PRIME MINISTER BENJAMIN NETANYAHU: Well, certainly we want to get the nuclear material out. We certainly want to get the enrichment sites– dismantled. We’ve curbed a lot. We’ve degraded a lot of the missile production sites. But the agreement should cover all these areas, including the proxies.

Can it end with, as President Trump has– has– led, now, a blockade, an economic pressure on them to do it with non-military means? Fine. If it can be accomplished, why not? But if not– both the United States and Israel, we both agree, President Trump and I, that if necessary, we can reengage them militarily, if it’s necessary.

Netanyahu also had this reminder for the American people – Iran hates you more than they hate Israel. They’ve proved it time and again by killing Americans in the past, and they intended on killing more Americans with a bomb in the future.

PRIME MINISTER BENJAMIN NETANYAHU: I think the most important thing for people to understand in America (and in Israel, I think they do understand it) but, for– in the world, in Europe, you have to understand. Iran, that declares not merely death to Israel but death to America, that’s what they want to achieve.

They don’t– not only want to kill Americans, which they have killed and wounded them by the thousands, burned up your embassies– killed your Marines, burned your flags, tried to assassinate– the president of the United States and your– and some of your chief– officials several times.

They’re committed to destroy America. They say that, okay? Their commitment involved their– plans over the years to build nuclear bombs and the means to deliver them to the United States. They were very close to developing a nuclear bomb, okay? Very close.

In fact, if we hadn’t done the two military operations that we did, they’d have a bomb within– now or within a month or two. Now, you don’t want a fanatic regime like that, that hates America, that is– has no compunction of murdering its own citizen– murdering and wounding tens of thousands of its own citizens, you don’t want them to have nuclear weapons. That’s what prompted President Trump — and me to go out and stop them, prevent them from having them.

MAJOR GARRETT: And I’m just tryin’ to get at, “How long is it going to take to achieve that aim?”

PRIME MINISTER BENJAMIN NETANYAHU: I’m not gonna give a timetable to it, but I’m gonna say that’s a terrifically important issue, because you don’t want Iran to have ballistic missiles to reach any city in the United States with nuclear warheads, because no American would be safe.

And it amazes me, frankly, you know, when you talk about it, you say– people ask, “What is the purpose of this war? What’s the point?”

The point is not to let a regime committed to the destruction of the United States and Israel– they call us the Little Satan. They call you the Big Satan. What do you do with the Big Satan? You have to remove it from the world. That’s their doctrine.

Major Garrett asked why full regime change hasn’t happened yet if Israel wants that to happen. (Is he trying to imply that Israel controls everything in the Middle East or something?) Netanyahu said nothing is guaranteed, especially when Iran decides to massacre their own civilians in the streets. How do you convince people to overthrow their government then?

MAJOR GARRETT: I wanna get to that point you just made in a second. If someone were to ask you, as I’m going to, Mr. Prime Minister, the capabilities of Israeli intelligence within Iran allowed you to pinpoint the location of supreme leader and others. That is a kind of granular intelligence that is borderline miraculous in the modern world. Why wasn’t it sufficient to also foment a revolution?

PRIME MINISTER BENJAMIN NETANYAHU: I think it could be a necessary condition, but I’m not sure that it’s a sufficient condition. But you’re quite right about our granular capability for surgical attacks. It’s funny– (OVERTALK)

MAJOR GARRETT: Why can’t they also set in motion a revolution that could topple the regime, your operatives–

PRIME MINISTER BENJAMIN NETANYAHU: Because– because you need many things. You not only need the– you know, to attack the leadership. There’s still a lot of people there. You know, one out of– a hundred Iranians is in the– secret police, you know? And (LAUGH) they’re– as they showed, they’re quite ready to just butcher the people.

So it’s not that simple, because it’s terror. It’s basically the application of terror. This is the preeminent terrorist regime in the world, okay? They send terrorism to every country but first to their own people. So they terrorize them. But we– you know, we have been accused of– indiscriminate attacks.

We’re the most discriminating military on the planet in history. You know, remember the beepers? We knocked out– we didn’t kill– 2,500 people, but we impaired them, knocked them out with surgical precision, no collateral damage, with the beepers, you know?

And that’s what we proceeded to do against their key scientists, against their key commanders, against their leaders. But– it’s a component. It doesn’t guarantee. It doesn’t guarantee the– success of a revolt. But it could– help it– happen.

But one of the more interesting things that Netanyahu said is that Israel needs to get off American foreign aid.

MAJOR GARRETT: On that point, looking forward, Mr. Prime Minister, do you believe it’s time for the state of Israel to reexamine and possibly reset its financial relationship to the United States? Meaning, what the United States provides to Israel on an annual basis.

PRIME MINISTER BENJAMIN NETANYAHU: Absolutely. And I’ve said this to President Trump. I’ve said it in– to our own people. Their jaws drop, but I said, “Look.”

MAJOR GARRETT: What do you mean? What are you saying?

PRIME MINISTER BENJAMIN NETANYAHU: What I’m saying is that I want to draw down to zero the American financial support, the financial component of the military cooperation that we have. Because we receive– we received $3.8 billion a year. Now, it’s true you spent trillions of dollars or hundreds of billions and billions of dollars in Afghanistan and so on.

And one of– one of your Senators said, “Hell, if we had an Israel instead of Afghanistan, you know– you know, over there, we wouldn’t have to spend a trillion dollars. We wouldn’t. It’d be a lot cheaper.” But I’m saying it’s gonna be a lot cheaper, because I want to draw down the American support for Israel to zero. We’ve come of age.

We have– a booming economy. After three years of war, you know, our currency’s the strongest it’s ever been in the last 50 years, maybe more. Our stock market is one of the leading stock markets in the world. It’s because we have this– this very high-tech juggernaut economy, one of the two– centers of cross-discipline– breaking, breaking technologies just changing the world.

And we have a lot of talent here, which we share with our American friends. And we’re gonna share it with our Arab friends too. And I– I think that it’s time that we weaned ourselves from the remaining– military support and go from aid to partnership.

Netanyahu proposes a draw-down over the next ten years, and while there are up sides, there are downstream effects as well.

This is the right thing to do for both sides at this point. I’ve advocated for the gradual end of this military aid for awhile, but it won’t come without potential costs:https://t.co/vlnl7AzLux https://t.co/g9LN37nBNV

— AG (@AGHamilton29) May 10, 2026

While it would be highly illuminating to see those who decry the financial aid given to Israel react to this news from Netanyahu (and it would finally test whether some are anti-Israel’s government or just plain anti-Semites), there are consequences. Like in planning a wedding, those who pay get a say. When the United States no longer has a say in Israel’s defense because we aren’t helping pay for it, what happens when Israel pursues a military conflict that isn’t in the United States’ best interests? It could happen. Giving up the power of the pursestrings is a choice. However, it is likely past time to do so. And while Netanyahu won’t be prime minister forever, the relationship between Israel and the United States has definitely grown on his watch and President Trump’s.

MAJOR GARRETT: The British Ambassador earlier this year said privately, it’s since come out, that Britain does not have a special relationship with the United States anymore. He said, “If there’s a special relationship, it’s between Israel and the United States.” From your vantage point, is that correct?

PRIME MINISTER BENJAMIN NETANYAHU: I don’t always find myself in agreement with British ambassadors, but– I’ll have to agree on this one.

While I’m glad that “60 Minutes” put out the full interview on YouTube, as well as the complete transcript, it’s a shame that most people won’t get more than a few soundbites, which trims out quite a lot of the context. This interview deserves a whole lot more attention than it will actually get, and I’ve barely scratched the surface here. Prime Minister Netanyahu did here what President Trump needs to do – give a direct and clear answer about why this war is happening, and when it will officially come to an end. This war is happening to prevent Iran from becoming a more powerful theocratic dictatorship bent on eliminating those who do not agree with them, and it ends when they give up all their enriched uranium and nuclear weapons programs.
