This is Zoe. And this is my Christmas Message.

Well, that’s it for me with Semanal08.
It was a real blast.
I’m a little late in posting my last video, but it was already posted on my site.
Lets see, I posted 185 individual videos on my site in 2008. December was a little slow at only 10 vlogs, but November (thanks to VloMo08) had 32 videos posted.

Congrats to all the fine people that were able to keep up with Semanal. I enjoyed watching your videos.

Sorry Guys, I won't be in it this year. I might be posting sometimes, but not as regularly as last year. Too busy with other things right now. But it has been a very memorable year indeed!

Maybe Mike Moon or Zenuno can do the weekly comment and picture posting? If any questions I will be ready to help get things going. Have a text file here with the weekly code. Needs a little change only each week. So if you know Wordpress and have the code it is really easy to do the weekly job. Let me know. Jay is the final admin. So if you need a password and username for the blog just ask him.

Good luck and I'll keep an eye on Semanal for sure!

i´m here with one one my friends. this year i´ve met a lot of dogs. (you know chile is one of the most famous dogs´ hells).
first they just appeared on my videos, but now i´m much more committed with their well being.

I love a fresh snow fall; really I do. The snow blankets the landscape. Brown foliage transforms into beautiful white trees. Dead grass and roadside gravel is now a sea of white. Ahhh, and the way the sun can make everything sparkle. I love it.

I made a call to my sister with regards to Christmas schedule.

On a side note, this was shot in the Cabana, with just the lights on the ceiling. Shot with High Sensitivity turned on with the Xacti HD2. It doesn’t look fantastic, but I’m quite happy that you can see me as well as you can. No longer will I need to turn trhe high light on and have the mood disrupted.

After 3 years living in BCN yet I like to walk down the ramblas, with its statues, its varied characters, her jungle of tourists.

It is very easy to find a spectacle of juggling with a copier of Ronaldinho, who masterfully dominating the ball as the tourists took pictures and enjoyed the impromptu show.

I was there and enjoyed almost all the concert…woawww the best of peruvian Rock to the world..in this intro … I am showing you “Tributo” band…well it just performs Cover songs but greatly,”Azulejos” nice one but not my kind of rock—too soft and melodramatic…aggg girlish stuff…I liked much more “Argonautas” yeahh…well this is the intro….more bands performance coming in my nexts videos (Cementerio Club,UCHPA,Amen,Miki Gonzales,Mar de Copas,Pedro Suarez Vertiz)….keep tunned !!!

Granada, Andujar and the Green River valley were some of the sites that met last weekend at the hands of the “Escapada Tepee”, an event organized by Peugeot and BRM for the launch of the new range of cars tepee.

The group were about 25 people, including staff of Peugeot and BRM, the winners of a contest that was made earlier at the site of the break and a group of 10 bloggers.

We spent a very good weekend, very full of adrenaline and with plenty of laughter and good living, obviously i would like to continue getting these kind of invitations.

After leaving Vancouver we picked up our RV (camper van) and headed north into the mountains. At home we barely even have hills, so this was an exciting (if rattle-clattery) adventure all of its own. By the time we returned the RV I had driven around 1500 km of these kinds of roads.

Margaret and I got married in August 1995. Our recent trip to Canada was a kind of second honeymoon, and brought back memories of what it had been like thirteen years before. For this video I delved right back to the first tape I recorded with my first camcorder, a Canon UC8Hi which I bought specially.

As you can imagine, I was kind of busy on the day of the wedding, so I just handed the camcorder around to guests and friends and asked them to film anything they liked. Here are a few little clips to give a flavour of the day. Apparently I never stopped grinning the whole day!

This is probably the last Vancouver video for a while. It’s from our last day in BC. We were a little sad because we had dropped off the camper van which had been our home for ten days, and were due to spend a night in a very ordinary hotel before flying across Canada to Ontario the following morning. Luckily, before we left we managed to fit in this perfect evening, playing in the last glorious rays of the setting sun.

Beautiful memories.

In May 2006 we were staying for a few days in Norfolk. One rainy day we took a trip out to see the otters at the nearby Otter Trust. It was a fun day despite the poor weather - the otters were cute and we all learned something about native wildlife.

The Otter Trust is now no longer open to visitors. Sometime since our visit they decided that there are now enough wild otters to sustain the population, and stopped the breeding program.

I have a small camera, a need-to-change wireless microphone and few technical resources. Yet I walk in search of stories that have to be share, stories that if aren´t share are lost in the limbo of the stories.

I rolled up, Inhabitants of Babel is a documentary serie, produced exclusively for the Web, I started to devise earlier this year and I want to count through (micro) stories of immigration, ideas, thoughts and different optical from those who live in the world of babel, the world of all those who emigrated a day looking for something: a dream, education, work and even a couple.

Several months later, taking time where there isn’t , we started to count the stories of the inhabitants of Babel.

This’s the trailer, hold the first chapter soon. and it’ll be with Eng. subtitles…

I belong to a clan and we get together online and communicate with each other via headsets and play Halo on the PC. Generally we play CTF (Capture the Flag). You grab their flag and return it to our home base and your team gets a point. First to 10 wins, or whoever is leading after 45 minutes. This map is Danger Canyon and there are roughly 15 maps or arenas we battle in.
Our clan is unique because most of the people in it (men and women) are over 30. Our oldest player is in his 70s.
Nothing better then having a rough day at work and going online to blow somebody up.
This video… although it looks shitty, you can hear a bunch of the folks with me.

I’m having a lot of fun digging around my various hard drives and tapes looking for inspiration about what to post as a videoblog. This one is very short, but it made me smile when I found it.

The story is that we had stopped in some fast food restaurant while driving somewhere (I don’t recall exactly where), and the girls had had some sort of kids meal which cane with a toy dog. In the manner of fast food, the meal was soon over, but I needed a bit more break before continuing with the driving (and probably to finish my coffee, too!) I thought the little bored dance they did with the toy dog was cute, so I recorded it. It eventually sees the light of day over three years later.

The streets of Barcelona are walls open to all those who love to express themselves through a drawing, a phrase or a signature. That pretty street art reflects the sentiments of its people, at least for the most creative.

The shutters of stores, mailboxes, street and any flat space is a good support.

There are all kinds of graffiti: assertive, artistic, and claim to self-centered.

Normally I stumble the way to work or strolling around and they always take a photo with their mobile phones to continue arming my particular file of what he thinks, feels and says people in the streets of the city.

Back in May we managed to find a relatively free, and even sunny, weekend. While shopping for the weekly groceries we bought a small disposable barbecue on a whim, and cooked dinner in the garden. All very pleasant and relaxing.

The library just purchased 3 Flip Video cameras, so I’m playing with one. This video was edited using the Flip editing software (then moved to my Mac and converted to a .mov with MPEG Streamclip). For some reason, one of the clips decided to play slow, hence the deep voiced David… Cool camera!

David, that road is amazing. Even Hana was pretty cool. Sorry about the signs, but it might have been easier with a second person along - since the road is very very curvy. When we went there, Jamie noticed some hippies (yes - they still live in Maui) swimming in a pool, with a waterfall. Needless to say, we had to jump it. It was amazing - amazingly cold!!

Also - did you know that there was also a turnoff to George Harrison’s place on the road to Hana? We played some tunes together, and he asked my advice on some lyrics (just woofing!)
