Goseet Optimizes VidTrim App for Intel® Atom™ Tablets for Android*

2014-07-24T11:01:00.001-07:00

SAN JOSE, Calif., July 21, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Organizing and enhancing videos is now easier than ever with the VidTrim app. Recently optimized for Intel® Atom™ tablets for Android*, the video application enables users to manipulate, save and share videos directly from their mobile devices.

The creative application offers an array of features designed to help users create individual video expressions. Users can select from editing options such as video trimming, picture effects, frame grabbing and more. In addition, the app offers conversion features that enable users to convert video files into MP3 audio files or to transcode and compress files into MP4 form.

Once video files have been created, VidTrim also enables users to share their work in a variety of ways. Amateur video editors can instantly send videos to contacts via email, or upload them to YouTube. Users can also play videos directly on their tablets and delete them when they are no longer needed.

Goseet recently optimized VidTrim for Android* tablets in order to make its video editing capabilities available to a wider audience. During this process, the developer had access to guidance and troubleshooting from design communities within the Intel® Developer Zone.

"VidTrim makes it possible for everyday tablet users to create fluid, visual art or to preserve valuable memories as video files," saysErtan Deniz of Goseet "Optimizing it for Android* tablets means that users will now have an optimal experience. The interactive touch screen, HD display and portability of these devices make it possible for our users to easily create and share beautifully edited videos from anywhere."

VidTrim is available for immediate download on Google Play.

Video Effects on Android

2012-11-09T08:17:00.001-08:00

VidTrim Pro now supports cool video effects that you can apply to your videos right on your Android device. Currently the supported video effects are B/W, Negate, Pixellate, Posterize, Glow, Tint0r, Edge detect, Luma and SwapUV.

The user interface is easy. Just select the desired video effect. A preview will appear for your video. When you are happy with the effect you selected press on the save icon and a new video with the applied effect will be saved to your gallery. The original video will not be modified and will be still available in your gallery.

VidTrim Pro Brings Transcoding to Android!

2011-03-12T01:44:00.000-08:00

VidTrim Pro brings a first to Android devices.

Now you can transcode your video files to smaller resolutions right on your device. The encoding format is the widely accepted H264 and AAC, so you can easily share your videos with your friends without fears of incompatibility.

Another new feature is direct sharing through VidTrim Pro. Just long touch on a video file and select the "Share" option. You will get a list of available share methods like e-mail, bluetooth etc.

VidTrim Pro is available in the Android Market.

VidTrim Pro Available In The Market

2010-12-18T17:08:00.000-08:00

Our users requested the add free version and here it is. VidTrim Pro, the add free paid version of VidTrim is available on the Android Market.

Some users also requested to be able to install the application to their SD cards. Pro version has that feature.

More exciting new features are planned for the Pro version.

HTC Devices With Internal Storage

2010-12-16T13:43:00.000-08:00

HTC Droid Incredible and similar HTC devices with internal storage have an incompatible internal storage implementation.

That's why VidTrim does not show videos stored on the internal storage. But it should work normally for videos stored on the external Micro SD card.

So I recommend that you set your camera application to save videos to SD card by default. You can do it by opening up the camera app, tap the button on the left of the screen. This should bring up the options and you should be able to set where to save the video files.

If you already have videos in your internal card, please download ES File Manager from Android Market, and move your videos from internal storage (which is /emmc on Droid Incredible) to external storage (/sdcard).

VidTrim can also be directly launched by clicking on a video in ES File Manager. It will ask you to choose an application to open the video. Choose VidTrim and it will open that video for trimming.

If you own one of these devices, please e-mail me and ask for support. I can't do anything to work around this problem right now, because I don't have one of those HTC devices to test.

VidTrim Featured on Androinica.com

2010-12-05T12:15:00.000-08:00

Androinica.com featured VidTrim in it's Android Apps Alert #43.

They say:

How funny is it that it took two years for Android users to be able to edit the videos that they film on their cell phones, yet we get two apps that offer that feature in the same week? We covered Snip Vid Trimmer earlier this week, but a free alternative that also can edit the videos shot on an Android phone emerged in Video Trim. Load a video, set start time, set end time, and you have a new video clip to upload or share.

And here's the video. VidTrim demonstration is on the start of the video:

VidTrim - Android Video Trimmer released

2010-12-03T14:49:00.000-08:00

The first beta release of VidTrim for Android is released. This simple application allows you to view your videos captured on your phone and trim/cut them.

You can find the application in Android Market for free. Just search for "VidTrim" or "video trimmer".

The initial release was tested on a Samsung Galaxy S. Bug reports are welcome. Please use the e-mail address that's given on Android Market.

This application uses FFmpeg with the permission of LGPL. I will release the source code of ffmpeg library I used for this project with detailed instructions on how to build it with Android NDK.
