With all the recent rain fall, the majority of local trails are closed. Not much to do besides ride back roads and check out the local scenery. When the trails have been open there have been plenty of blow downs, trail debris and nasty bugs.

Cross Roads House Gala Portraits 2012

Donated some time to Cross Roads House recently for their annual Gala at the Wentworth by the Sea in Newcastle. Along with covering the event I set up at the entrance to get everyone's "Prom Portrait" with a great ice sculpture. Portraits like this make great gifts for guests if your having an events.

It's been a pretty strange April, some snow, some rain, plenty of biking though. Checked out the gravel grinder the other day in Waterbury. 30 miles of up and downs, through Stowe Hollow and back to Waterbury. I'm glad I took the car to shoot that one, 37 and drizzly. Hung out with my buddy Sasha the other day for some dirt jumping at a secret location in NH. Got a couple of green shots.
Been riding at cadys falls a bunch too, love that place. Turns out if you don't have a Transition Covert, you cant be part of the club ;)

Bus Tours and Man Made Snow

Even though this winters season is getting off to a warm start, bus tours from all over New England are still hitting the slopes (or slope) of Killington. Hung out with some folks from Ovrride Tours (check them out at ovrride.com ). Met some crazy semi locals in the park and had some fun on and off the slope.

Lake Elmore Benefit Concert

The Lake Elmore Benefit Concert took place Sunday, Sept. 25th. Featuring the music of Vorcza, the Eames Brothers Band, 7lbs. of Pork, and Jon Gailmor. Some of the areas finest local musical talent.

A portion of the concert proceeds will benefit Lamoille County Conservation District’s work to protect and restore the water quality of Lake Elmore and the surrounding Lamoille River Watershed.

Also, a portion of the proceeds will also go to local and state food shelves in areas devastated by Hurricane Irene through The Vermont Foodbank. Food shelves in hard-hit areas that were normally open one day a week or one day a month are now open every day or several times a week. The Vermont Foodbank is the state’s largest hunger-relief organization, serving communities in all 14 counties of Vermont through a network of more than 280 food shelves, soup kitchens, shelters, senior centers and after-school programs.
