International Women's Day! #IWD2023

Times immemorial, words such as nature, nurture, mother, care, patience, selfless, untiring, and sacrifice have been resonated or personified to a "WOMAN."

Female identity expanded to almost every industry sector, and the construction industry is no exception. However, female roles in the AEC sector have gained a significant uptick, especially in digital or technology-enabled roles.

"Women in Construction" gradually increased their level of embarking upon the harsh / riskier tasks, digitally inclined roles, donning different profiles (from trade workforce, designer, and construction manager to safety and facility management profiles) and climbing up to C-suite positions.

#IWD2023 Theme - DigiALL! - Very apt to our current research, "Women in Digital Leadership Roles"!

Women are now transitioning from tokenism to empowerment!

Here are a few snippets of one of our research work in progress that depicts a word cloud about the enablers of Women in Digital Leadership roles!

Figure 1. A word cloud: Enablers to Women Digital Leadership Roles!

Some of the key insights from our study noted that the facilitators for females in construction to thrive, were measures such as guidance, mentorship, early career mentors, health aids, celebrating their identity for their sucesses.

Tree map of Women in Digital Leadership (WDL) Roles Governance

Also, we went on to explore the "Governance of women in Digital Roles" from our study revealed that attributes such as garnering personal attention to the sub-ordinates, agile, adaptability to learn new technologies / environments, being a patient listener, open to experimentation or novel ideas, detail oriented, participatory, collaborative, and empathetic attitude.

Await for our full manuscript publication till June'2023.

You resolve from a fathom block of chemicals

To a soft core lump of choc..

You get frowned with thine teeth clutters...

Yet you never complained...

You are the maze of bubble creator to the kids..

You are the craze of gamble creator among the kids...

Yet you never complained when u r discarded to a bin:-(:-(

Thine work is on numbers,

Thine jerk of bosses's pulse is on numbers...

Joined with a graduation

Coined with number graduation...

Thine fodder of sleep is fancy numbers..

Thine rudder of weep is crazy numbers..

Mind of wonder is crashed and washed with numbers...

Winds of blunder is trashed and thrashed with numbers...

Thine rays of sun awakens the digits of margin

Thine ways of grin awakens the digits of sales...

You ask a query, thine reply is in numbers..

You mask an enquiry, thine reply is in numbers..

You bask a priority, thine reply shall be only numbers...

Thine rejoice is attained, when raised an invoice..

Thine clairvoyance is sustained, when apprised a Boosting margin!

A day without numbers, is numb to thine soul..

A day without numbers, is aplumb to thine goal...

O' the melt of thine ice of brooding breaks the rays of sun!!

O' the smelt of thine spice of doodling breaks the ways of sun's pride spun!

Leafing out your night of poising lull

Leading out your knight of rejoicing mull!

Trustful Lime!!

2013-09-08T22:26:00.000+05:30

Long ago when thine sire picked me on road seeing me alone...
Since years ago when thine sire tucked me in his pocket seeing me aloof, I cherished his homage.

Thine grown from a seedling to sapling by his care of nurture...
Thine browned from a fledgling to sterling silver's price by his flair of nature...

In the hugs and warmth of greenish glossy leaves...
Amidst the bugs and girth of brownish brassy trunks, I resided in peace.

The lad in glee parted me from the huge tree...
The lad in melee greeted me from the refuge spree..

I jumped and sulked at the blink of cloudy gloom masked by the lad...
But thine enthralled when thine sire rescued with a tinge of glad!!!

Gambit of a Rabbit!!!

I plunged from the green fields of my sire!!!

I jumped from the lean grass pastures of my sire!!!

Here I find the peanuts hiding in the attic...

Here I find the peanuts gliding in mischief to escape a-quick!!

I am the white snowy beauty of my sire's empire...

I am the bright snowy mighty strides of my sire's empire...

In the dark breezy night of hunger ...

I laid my paw on attic

I laid my jaw on attic ...

With an eerie noise of beetle..

With a creaky voice of beetle, I gulped my throat in fear!!!

With a strike of a lightening and thunder, I grasped my breathe in rage when I saw the blue pair of eyes in terror !!!

With a second strike of lightening my fear vanished as the pair of eyes were of a cat's not the ghost in horror!!!

I seized the peanuts with a glee and chewed in delight at the fag dawn of the day

I never met you...

I never let you down...

But forever I pestered to greet you with a singing boon!!

I never fret you..

I never regret thou...

But forever I mustered to treat you with clinging croon!

I never met you...

I never let you frown...

For thou I met you through my voice of convoy of chirpy messages..

I never met you...

I never reject you...

For thou I met you through my choice of deploy of messages...

If I had to ever meet you...

If I had to ever greet you...

I just reminisce the pitch black long hair prancing with the breeze ...

If I had to ever meet you...

If I had to ever greet you...

I just reminisce the glitch radiant smile you portray with the freeze to lure the nature ;-)

I jump, fly and thud everywhere...

I bump, pry and thud anywhere...

My lane is flooded with lineage of humans,

My lane is blooded with lineage Romans,

You find me anywhere in my street of mooting your food!

You mind me anywhere in my treat of looting your blood!

You scorn me,

You curse me,

Yet I loot hardly a pint of your blood to thrive.

But you the "barbarian human" loot the lives of mouth less creatures that survive.

I cuddle in the litter you throw

I muddle in the jitters you throw

Yet I didn't complain and fuss!!

Consider me as a God's creature like you...

Consider me as a Lord's miniature entity like you...

Loaf of tread on my earth!!!!

2012-11-04T17:00:00.002+05:30

When I put my foot on thine soil it reminded me of my tread since birth...

When I put my foot on thine soil it reminded me of my bread since mirth...

Every step I mark on thine earth, it calls me for a halt...

Every leap I mark on thine earth, it calls me for human 's fault...

It hates me when I mask with buildings of concrete...

It hates me when I mask with roads of discrete...

It cries when I pluck the green pastures...

It wries when I pluck the preen

Pastures...

I mind to bow with a vow, that

from now I brow over you with a fare of care!!!

I hate the nature when it jolted my kid!!!

I hate the fire when it befuddled my kid !!!

And I hated the sun when it kindled my kid!!!!

I hate and hate you all, as your poise mannered attributes are bullying my kid rather than lullabying my kid:-(

I run on the lines of my sire's pages,

I run on the refines of my desire's savages, in spite of thine born out of woods!

I grin on the lives of my sire's verses,

I grin on the strives of my sire's tenses,

In spite of thine torn out of forest woods.

I mingled with every lead,

Jingled with every stead, to make sure I am at merry.

I strangled with every kid,

Wrangled with every slid, to make assure I am at ferry!

Craze cross paths,

Miss match wraths were my daily chores!

Haze boss swelter,

Bliss loss shelter faiths became my gaily bores.

Thine day fell to night’s call as I dozed off in the kid’s caressing palm across!!!

Thine soul's longing wait!

2012-08-19T13:22:00.000+05:30

When the wings of longing care and strings of loneliness spreads,
Let my thoughts nestle in your soul.

When the kings of waging dare and strings of lifelessness breeds,
Let my droughts cuddle in your soul.

Poise breeze embracing my moments,
Noise creeps disgracing my laments,
Lost thine soul in search of your thoughts!

A bright Sun's rays is no maze for me than your essence,
A might Moon's grace is no maze for me than your presence.

Your Pearls of invisible care flowing across thine aura,
Your miracles of invincible flair glowing across thine aura.

Its barely unimaginable for my heart to think that you are far from me, as my soul always nestles with your thoughts!
