Starting at a base price of about $19,000, the is a small crossover vehicle that arrived on the scene in 2005. With the latest model, however, it is even better and creating more of a buzz than any previous generation of Hyundai Tucson. According to the website Kicking Tires, the 2010 Hyundai Tucson looks “interesting.” It has a sophisticated appeal to it that previous generations did not have with its “fluidic sculpture” and design.

The new Tucson is also rather small when compared to other vehicles in its segment. It is a few inches longer than the previous generation, but still smaller than some of its competition. But that does not mean it sacrifices practicality. Instead, the smaller design helps it get better fuel economy with 23/31 miles to the gallon on the city and highway respectively for the front-wheel drive version. For the AWD version, you can expect to get 21 and 28 miles per gallon respectively.

One of the best parts about the new Tucson is the optional navigation system. This device uses a 6.5-inch touch screen that is easy to use so you do not have to take your mind off the road. It offers easy-to-see graphics and labels so you don’t have to wonder what you are looking at. Drivers will also appreciate the panoramic moonroof on a starry night as well as dual-zone climate control and more!

Under the hood of the 2010 Hyundai Tucson you will find a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers more than 175 horsepower and a six-speed automatic transmission. This combination is ideal for driving around town and it “has enough oomph” to get you going from stoplights or for passing the slow drivers on a two-lane highway.

Safety is also a priority on the 2010 Hyundai Tucson. This model includes four anti-lock disc brakes which come standard on the new Tucson. Front and side-curtain airbags are also available along with a rollover sensor and an electronic stability system.
