*Sniff* Sniff* something smells fishy! Well you come to the right place, Danny's Seafood Restaurant has all your fishy desires. I went as part of a group and everyone seemed to enjoy their meal. I had the snapper mornay which was quite nice. Calamari was fresh and just melted in the mouth. Service was good and prompt but felt cold at times, just like standing in line at a fast food place. Atmosphere, hmmm well the place could do with a nice renovation. It feels like your at someone's house/bbq not really a restaurant feel. The place is good for functions and large gatherings, they have a large outdoor seating area!

Gelatomassi - Newtown

Almond milk, Apple crumble, Rum & Raisin, Tiramisu, Cinnamon, Donatella, Mango, Blood Orange Sorbet, Lemon Sorbet the list just goes on and on... This is a fantastic little Gelato bar, the best gelato and icecreams I have tasted to date... especially their lemon sorbet hmmm WOW!
This place has won the foodies guide award for 2007 for Best Gelato and Ice Cream and it sure deserves it! The other good thing is it's the only place open till 1am on a fri and sat... How cool is that, while the rest of the city eateries are sleeping this place keeps rocking and people flock to it!

Blackbird Cafe - Cockle Bay

Situated in Cockle Bay Wharf on the balcony level. This is a nice casual cafe, serving anything from a pizza to a pasta. Food is ok. Staff are friendly and good with service. The view is perfect showing the whole of Darling Harbour or as Sydney siders would say : DH :)
They have $10 cocktails everyday mon-fri from 6pm-7pm. Anyone for a Mohito?!

Did someone say beef?!?! OMG! This place oozes meat: chicken, beef, pork and human. Joking about the human part. If you are looking for a Veal Schnitzel or anything meat and beer related then this is the place. The staff is very friendly and the service is quick. This place is great when you have those Viking gatherings.

Oh and I've been told their Greek salad is to die for...

Standard Indian - North Parramatta

Careful the Vindaloo is HOT! Just a reminder from the owner of the restaurant, Saeed. This is a great little Indian Restaurant. The food is great and filling and not to mention cheap. Saeed makes a great host and attends to every need you might have... Make sure you take a bottle of wine as this is BYO.

If you haven't figured it out yet, YES it's an Italian Cafe'. Family run, this cafe produces some nice food. I recommend their Nickoise salad! Oops did I say "Nickoise"? I meant Nicoise pronounced: ni-SWAHZ :)
Did you know that a girl going out with a guy isn't aloud to shout him a meal till they've been together for 6months??? Ok I'm deviating from the subject, back to work ....
Mainly open for the lunchtime crowd, and they can also provide catering. It has some outdoor seating, aswell as in. Good place to break from work. Staff are friendly and very pleasant...

Insieme - Ultimo

Newly established restaurant/pizzeria. If you want a descent pizza within the city area then I recommend coming here.
Amazingly, one of the few place that know how to make a Margherita or as they call it the "Due". The Pizza base wasn't super thin but not thick like a loaf of bread! They used real tomato for the sauce, and not heinz tomato paste. The cheese was real buffalo mozzarella, and after it was cooked they topped it with fresh whole basil leaves hmmm I can smell naples already. They have good everything else aswell.
Staff, were friendly and served well. For the girls out there who want some Italian eye candy and want to here some broken english, you'll love it.
The Coffee was passable...

Cine Italian Restaraunt - The Entertainment Quarter

Great little restaurant. Been here twice now and has great atmosphere and food. Ideal night out with a group of friends and even as a first date. The Staff is relaxed and helpful which makes the eating very enjoyable. They are there when you need them and not always "in your face", like a Ninja :)

This place has large indoor and outdoor seating area, and a bar as well. Their desserts, gelatos, and coffees are excellent! Once you're done with dinner you can go and catch a movie (Paris or Hoyts Cinemas).

The Ivory Lounge - Ultimo

Ok. Every time I've been here the food has taken for ever to arrive! Even something simple as a garlic or herb bread takes 15min to show up on a plate. You might be thinking I went during a busy night. You'd be wrong!
The place is quite nice and so is the food and cocktails. The thing that really lets it down is the delivery. Takes way too long for the food to be prepared.
Staff, well it's a mixed bunch but usually v.nice, although when asked which cocktail is which, the answer you might get is "I don't know, I just drink the stuff". If you do decide going, try to phone the order through.

Nice place, but there's definetely room for improvement.

My Cuppa - Ultimo

Have you ever ordered a Focaccia with lettuce, later to find out it has turned to mush because the've toasted it! Not with My Cuppa - Cafe', they give you the option on whether to turn that lettuce to mush :)

Great little Cafe' located on Harris st UTS end. Staff are very friendly and quick at taking the order. They have their standard "off the shelf" sandwiches/focaccias or you can opt on making your own. They have salads, yoghurts and all your typical cafe' food. They make nice coffee, especially their Chai Latte's. They also do catering for any office party or occasion.
Atmosphere, well it's pretty much a take away even though they do have some seating...

Martini Bar - Leichhardt

Went here with 3 other people and had a smogasboard of five different pizza including a calzone.
Wow! If you want a real pizza, one that comes very close to the motherland of pizza's then you should definetely pay a visit to Martini Bar. I'm told that the Pizzaiolo (the guy who makes the Pizza's) is fresh from Napoli, where the Margherita Pizza was born. The Pizza's are nice and lite therefore you can get away eating 3 Pizza's between two people. The rest of the menu is equaly as good, nice pastas (Al Dente!) and meats etc...

Staff were quite nice and always with a smile and were very good at keeping the glass toped up.

The atmosphere is ok, I wouldn't go on a romantic date, but definately with friends, or a party, group outing etc. The place is perfect for a function, it has two large balcony's facing Norton St.
Fully licensed bar, has a nice choice of wines and some very nice cocktails.
