We are thrilled to announce the unveiling of our brand new website! After sixteen months of hard work, we finally ditched our outdated website for an amazing new site! We couldn’t have done it without our unbelievably talented partners at Kre8tive Monkey in New Jersey and we hope you love our new site as much as we do.

Some of our favorite new features include a tour map, complete information on all of our group packages and location pages to help you decide whether you should depart from Westlake Center or Seattle Center! There’s also a photo gallery, the story of Ride the Ducks, and bios for some of our Wacky Captains!

Our new website has a blog built in to the site, so this will be Vinnie’s last post here, but we hope you visit Vinnie’s blog on our new site and while you’re there take some time to poke around a learn more about Ride the Ducks and our tours. Hope to see you #onaduck soon!

In a nutshell, today was EPIC!

USAToday estimates that more than 1 million of the 12th Man were in downtown Seattle today! Thank you to everyone who ventured the freezing temps to come downtown to support the Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks! We did our best to wave at every single one of you!

It was exciting to have Beast Mode and the SeaGals on a Duck with Captain Rik O'Shay and Captain Max Stout! He was so much fun with a great sense of humor! Thanks for all the delicious Skittles!

We were proud to be part of the celebrations today and are working hard to collect photos and video from our staff so that we can share them with you! Big thank you to the Seattle Seahawks and Seafair for inviting us to be part of their special day to celebrate Super Bowl XLVIII! We were happy to have everyone #onaduck!

Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks to Celebrate #onaDuck!

It's official! Super Bowl Championship Parade to feature 12 amphibious landing crafts!

On Sunday, the Seattle Seahawks’ #1 defense destroyed the Denver Broncos #1 offense in Super Bowl XLVIII and on Wednesday, the entire city will celebrate with Seattle’s #1 City Tour: Ride the Ducks of Seattle!

“We are thrilled to celebrate an epic Super Bowl victory with the 12th Man and the Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks!” says Brian Tracey, President/CEO. “Seventeen years ago, Ride the Ducks of Seattle began as a locally-owned business with just one Duck and we are so blessed to have become part of the fabric of downtown Seattle. We were honored when we were asked to be part of this historic day!”

The Seahawks’ Super Bowl Parade will start at 11am at 4th and Denny and travel down 4th Avenue to arrive at Century Link Field at 1:30pm. Members of the Seahawks organization will be onboard Ride the Ducks of Seattle, as well as state and local dignitaries, and of course, the 12th Man! We expect to see more than 300,000 of the NFL’s loudest fans downtown to celebrate the first Super Bowl victory in Seahawks’ franchise history.

The DUKW is an engineering marvel! It’s an amphibious vehicle that is both a truck AND a boat! Nothing quite compares to rolling into Lake Union on the DUKW – it delights kids of all ages!

With the Seattle Seahawks competing in the NFC Divisional Championship tomorrow against the New Orleans Saints, today is an extra special Blue Friday and the city is a buzz with excitement! The 12th Man logo is popping up all over town and we decided Vinnie needed to get in the spirit!

Vinnie is our ENORMOUS inflatable Duck balloon that sits on our roof at our Seattle Center location. He's surprisingly much larger than you would think and the Seahawks Team Shop was unfortunately out of quadruple-double-macchiato-XXL Russell Wilson jerseys.

With true, make-it-happen 12th Man spirit, our Marketing Director teamed up with Operations and after many discussions about how big Vinnie actually is, we finally decided on his jersey specs. But, the million dollar question was: How would we actually create this jersey monstrosity?

Enter the amazing wife of our Director of Operations! Not only does she put up with her husband's long hours and infamously dirty clothes, she's a master seamstress!

Vinnie's jersey is hand-crafted from 4 giant king-size sheets! After sewing the sheets together, we painstakingly sewed the sleeves on, plus a 12th Man Flag and voila! The biggest Seahawks jersey in Seattle was created!

It was a blustery, cold morning, but with the help of our entire team, we got Vinnie dressed and ready for a Seahawks victory tomorrow!

2013 Stuff the Duck a HUGE Success!

Ride the Ducks is thrilled to donate $10,000 to Starlight Children’s Northwest along with toys we have collected for this holiday season! Our 2nd annual Stuff the Duck toy drive was a huge success and we are honored to partner with such an incredible organization. Starlight Northwest works hard year-round to help seriously-ill children and their families cope with their pain, fear and isolation through entertainment, education and family activities.

This year’s Stuff the Duck kicked off with the Macy’s Parade in downtown Seattle, where we filled three Ducks with Starlight families and drove them through the parade! We had a blast with the families on board and were overjoyed to give them the opportunity to participate in this Seattle holiday tradition.

We also collected new toys and games for Starlight Northwest from November 29th through December 18th at our Seattle Center and Westlake Center locations. After weeks of soliciting donations and filling our toy bins, we are excited to donate all the items to Starlight in hopes of making the holidays a little brighter for seriously-ill children and their families. In addition, we are adding a $10,000 donation to help this organization with all of their amazing efforts!

Starting on Friday, November 29, Ride the Ducks of Seattle is hosting a toy drive to collect toys and games for Starlight children and their families and we need your help! Starlight Northwest works hard year-round to help these seriously-ill children and their parents and siblings cope with their pain, fear and isolation through entertainment, education and family activities. We're collecting new, unwrapped toys and games for Starlight families around Seattle and the Pacific Northwest. When the Duck is full of toys, Ride the Ducks will add $10,000 and donate everything to Starlight Children’s Foundation Northwest!

We need your help to Stuff a Duck full of toys! It’s officially fall in Seattle and while we’ll miss the longer days and warmer evenings, we couldn’t be more excited! As the leaves turn and the days get a little shorter, this is a great time to get onboard a Duck and tour Seattle, especially if you missed out this summer!

Open Year Round. Ride the Ducks is open year-round from our Seattle Center location and through December 31 at our Westlake Center location. With 362 days a year to tour Seattle by land and water, there’s no excuses for why you haven’t been on a Duck recently! We happily spend Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to be with our families and we hope you do too.
Blankets Onboard. We know it can get a bit chilly this time of the year so we’ve equipped all of our Ducks with blankets to keep you toasty!
Coffee and Hot Chocolate are Welcome Onboard. As always, we allow any food and non-alcoholic beverages onboard, but this time of the year is particularly enjoyable for bringing your favorite warm beverage to enjoy on the tour! If you’re departing from Westlake Center, check out the Starbucks right next to the kiosk! From Seattle Center, walk less than a block north and you’ll find the Seattle Grind! A favorite for our employees working at our main location.
Windows Get Rolled Up. Fall is gorgeous in Seattle but there is always the inevitable rain shower here and there. In case of inclement weather, we have windows we roll up on each Duck to keep all passengers dry and protected. In the rare case of snow or icy roadways, check out our Facebook page for updates.
Holiday Duck Tours. In addition to our Original Land and Water Tour, we also have a special 40-minute, land-only holiday themed tour through Downtown Seattle! It's summer here at Ride the Ducks! We're having a ton of fun talking and interacting with our friends and fans on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram! We thought we'd kick it up a notch and do a Seattle Center giveaway with some of our favorite neighbors on campus!

Tuesday, July 23rd at 2pm, you'll see the first contest post on our Facebook page. Follow the directions and you'll be entered to win! Easy, right? This awesome Seattle Center package includes:
