The Heritage of Memory and a great unforgettable Maestro: Silvio EUPANI

It's so sad, Maestro Silvio Eupani, who has been for several years the President of our Cultural Society "Ricercatori Moda d'Epoca" (Italian Fashion Vintage Researchers) and the vintageworkshop.it has left us last 2nd of March 2020.

The Funeral could not take place, nor a public Church service in his tribute, since on the day foreseen the Anti-Covid restrictions decided by the Italian Government begun.

Finally, tomorrow, October 2, there will be the public religious Mass in the Cathedral of Malo (Vicenza) at 7pm and, as definitelly deserved, being M° Eupani also a lyric tenor in worldwide career for 30 years, it will be a sung holy service with the extraordinary participation of the prestigious choir "I cantori di Santomio" where, in his young years, M° Silvio Eupani had been the soloist with his unrivalled tenor voice. In the mid-Seventies his superlative voice was then discovered by M° Mario Del Monaco, who become his mentor and encouraged him much to definitelly & deservedly undertake the professional career as primal protagonist tenor in the lyric operas, especially by Verdi, Puccini, Donizetti and also Bellini, Bizet, Leoncavallo, Giordano. He performed 25 operas in almost same number of Countries in some of the most important worldwide Opera Theatres. His warm potent and technically flawless voice will remain in the Olympus of the best Tenor Voices of all times. His studies, historical researches and multi-prized books (the volume of 500 pages entitled "Da Quarto dei Mille al Pasubio al Fiume Don - Epopea di Malo" won 10 national Prizes for literature) on Italian Motherland patriotic history will witness the heritage of Memory, will feed the knowledge of the present young generations as the future ones. His courage and his generous humanitarian help in many social fields will remain unforgotten in our hearts & souls.

I want to just add a conclusive thought: with great huge courage he has been fighting against the desease in his bed of a ward for 2 months & could defeat the sepsis infection to succeed to be dismissed and return back home to his beloved wife Caterina to live with her his last 15 days. The desease was then fatal but, luckily, he could rejoin for a last farewell his wife, who is impaired from walking and could not visit him in the hospital.

Thank you Maestro Silvio Eupani. RIP

In these times, there has been no big consolation. However, with the co-operation of his major daughter Angela, during these desperate months, we have carried out a music videos playlist with some of his best opera arias & romanzas. A little project that I had begun with the agreement of M° Eupani 8 years ago. The playlist is in progress & will be enriched by future new additional videos with his former recordings and our new editing & montage.

Assia Fiorillo finalist at A song for Amnesty 2020 with "Io sono Te" about the women in jail

Singer/song writer from Napoli, Assia Fiorillo has been nominated among the finalists, classified herself in the rose of the best 5 nomenees (this year all women) in the singing competition Voci Per la Libertà - A song for Amnesty - Emerging Artists session - and won a special price by "Viva la Radio! Network".

The live concerts kermesse and music contest dedicated to Human Rights has taken place from July 31 through to August the 2nd 2020 in the outdoor esplanade of the Congress Centre in the seaside resort Rosolina Mare (Rovigo, Italy).

Special anti-Covid measures have been taken to allow people to join the 3-days contest via a pre-registration procedure with a limited quota of seats. Every spectator had to notify personal data like e-mail & handyphone that were double checked even on the spot crossing the pieces of info already given online.This applied even the minors and all have been located respecting the distancing restrictions: every seat had in fact a space all around of 2mts, righft, left, in front & in the back.

Frequent kiosks for hands disinfection were scattered in the area that, anyway, was open-air and more easy to be handled in comparison with an indoor premise or theatre.

As per what declared the organizers, no special seats have been reserved to the press & photoreporters that, either were lucky to find an entrance ticket during the online pre-registration or, had to queue to eventually get a last minute seat.

We have been attending the contest nontheless as could get some entrance tickets online but no badge or anything was attributed to let the audience understand the reasons of movements by professionals around the stage. This would have disconforted even the most patient journalists and we believe only the passion for music could drive us this time to attend the contest, even fronting a little risk of contage!

By chance or by intuition, our music critique education draw us to interview, film & photograph the right artists and therefore we are back with good illustrating material that we produced by concentrating us with the winner of the emerging artist session ( H.E.R.), the prized singer by the public (Adriana Iè), the prized band by the Independent Music Collective Mei Musplan (Ennesimo Piano B) and also a one woman show, singer & song writer, capable to play all the instruments for the orchestration of her music composition (Micaela Tempesta) and, of course, Assia Fiorillo.

Of course we have much appreciated & filmed a great guest star (Marina REI) as well as the absolute winner of the Big Stars Session (Nicolò Fabi) prized for the lyrics of his song "Io sono l'altro" (I am the other) from his recently recorded album "Tradizione e Tradimento" (Tradition & Betray).

Both artists have generously performed half a concert each, with the consequent enthusiasm of the audience.

Coming back to one of the 5 finalists in the Emerging Artists session, Assia Fiorillo has sung with a fine patronage of the stage with a clear harmonious voice which really never needs to forcedly scream as made of little hues, refined harmonics, strong touching words...

Assia is not new at Amnesty International Italy as she took part in the kermesse already few other times being the frontwoman of another band, made all by women, called "Mujeres Creando" from Napoli.

It's been a big affirmation for her artistical carreer this year. She has been portrayed in a docufilm at the national RAI Tv for having composed this song in hommage to the women that are in detention in 2 jails that she has visited & where she got inspired to compose her song.

The live music video with this important song is being premiering on Youtube this weeek round. Enjoy good music & very important lyrics Assia composed on the terrible theme of the sorrows many women, especially in depressed environments, go through, in society & in the troubles with justice & politcs...Especially the women that suffer from not being economically independent & feel obliged to break the socially & politically correct rules in order to overcome & let their children survive.

The theme on disrespect, abuse & violence against women is also choosen by Amnesty for all the forthcoming year & is being followed up by ongoing petitions and appeals on & offline.

Challenge: Excite fans by emphasizing the eye-catching visuals of the film as well as the theme of using technology to overcome disability Concept: Legally-blind artist George Redhawk uses art to help cope with the loss of his vision. He uses morphing software to illustrate his depleted sense of vision to the world through his unique gifs. We commissioned him to add his signature "Redhawking effect" to Ghost In The Shell key art, documented the process in a custom video with Yahoo!, and using the assets in display placements throughout our pan regional digital campaign
Results: 18.4M Impressions; 320K Engagements; 355K total video streams

Vintage ai Carraresi show in Treviso!

November is the right time to hunt for a special present for ourselves or for someone we like or love. When an important Vintage exhibition is on, I am very willing to write about, but when it takes place in one of the most beautiful and peculiar towns of Italy and with some of the best italian Vintage exhibitors, dealers and/or Vintage researchers I am more than persuaded to personally visit it, as I begin to be frantic to feel the sense of unmissable event, so to speak.
The Town is the amazing Treviso in the Venetian region,where canals and watermills are scattered throughout a refined historical centre which is basically whole pedestrian area and where you can see how happily both inhabitants and turists feel at ease wondering around in a carfree city and being attacted by the appeal of the several cultural and art events which take place every week.
The specialty show & exhibition is called "Vintage ai Carraresi" and it will display Vintage fashion among which an amazing variety or true rarities as accessories, purses, shoes, period jewelry as well as some modernist furniture and interior design pieces.
So, coming back to the unmissable concept (lol), the location will be the Palace "Ca' dei Carraresi", which dates back to the 13th century and hosts different temporary art galleries, shows and exhibitions.
I will be there at the Casa Carraresi from tomorrow for a first overview and definitelly I will be among the first visitors on Thursday, the opening day which has a dense program, including the press conference & vernissage fixed at 6pm where the collateral exhibition dedicated (as an absolute première) to the sketches, models and patterns drawn by Giuliana Coen Camerino (conceiver of the worldwide famours "Roberta di Camerino" brand on large frabrics applying a special tecnique she conceived to design on large clothes facing direcly the body of her mannequins.
Either that that, I will be there to especially visit to great friends of mine:
Corama, jewel designer from Valenza, author with her father and grandfa of an exquite and multifaceted museum collection of unique exemplars.(see pictures)

Angela Eupani, from Vicenza, conceiver of a spectacular exhibition in progress that takes places in different towns of Italy called "Sculptures to Wear", dedicated to 100 years of costume history about purses & shoes.
In this location, she will be there with a selection of her bag's collection projected and manufactured by american and european designers who used pre-plastic materials to make their avantguardist creation in molds such as bakelite, lucite, rodohid, celluloid etc.
Bags which are considered futuristic still nowadays and certainly so rare & one-of-a-kind for shapes, colours, architecture, modernism meanings... (see profile & pictures)

The show will begin on Thursday 14 until Sunday 17 included with opening times 10am to 8pm nonstop.
There will be a moderate fee at the entrance which will grant a public of very interested people who will give satisfaction to the qualified Vintage exhibitors who have been choosen to partake.
The show sounds extremelly aimed at customers & buyers who hare a certain style & refined taste, who are individualist and don't like to uniform to fashion dictats addressed to mass, instead who like to wear Vintage clothes and accessories to express their own personal style and taste. All in all, more "influencers" than "influenced" ;-)
Can't resist to be in Treviso & hunt for high quality & rare Vintage.

Una canzone per Amnesty - Contest "Voci per la libertà": vincono i Grace N Kaos e Giulio Wilson si aggiudica il Premio della critica

Si é conclusa domenica sera 21 luglio 2019 la rassegna "Voci per la Libertà", promossa dall'omonima associazione in collaborazione con Amnesty Italia e ospitata dalla località marittima di Rosolina Mare (Rovigo) presso il Palazzo Regionale dei Congressi in Piazzale Europa.
Il festival dedicato al cantautorato di qualità sensibile alla questione dei diritti umani e alle tematiche umanitarie ha premiato Roy Paci e la sua Mayday Connection palermitana con il brano "Salvagente" scritto assieme a Willie Peyote. Per l'occasione il grande trombettista era accompagnato dal rapper Picciotto e dal producer Gheesa.

Nella sezione emergenti, il premio assoluto é stato assegnato ai Grace N Kaos che si sono aggiudicati anche il premio del pubblico con la canzone "Nero" sul tema del caporalato e dello sfruttamento del lavoro agricolo mentre ai Roomors (gruppo cagliaritano di sei cantori a cappella) é andato il premio radiofonico "Il migliore per noi" di Viva la Radio! Network per il brano "Marielle".

Grande successo e consenso popolare anche per Giulio Wilson, il cantautore trentaseienne fiorentino che con la sua "Budapest, (Francesco Tirelli)" dedicato a un migrante Italiano in Ungheria che nel 1944 salvò moltissime persone dalla deportazione nazista nascondendole nel retro-bottega della sua gelateria) ha vinto il premio della critica.
Valerio Piccolo é stato ospite molto applaudito per il suo "Adam and the Animals", concept album composto assieme allo scrittore Rick Moody.
Il premio Web 2019 under 35 é stato assegnato a Fabio Luongo.
Alle due Chiare (Chiara Patronella, pugliese che ha presentato con la sua band tarantina il brano "Pesci" e Chiara Effe, cantautrice e chitarrista sarda in gara con la canzone "Mani stanche") sono state assegnate le targhe di artiste finaliste del concorso "Voci per la Libertà" emergenti.
Hanno presentato la quattro-giorni di concerti dal vivo Savino Zaba (Radio1 e Rai) e Carmen Formenton (Voci per la Libertà).

Le MOSTRE e istallazioni collaterali (quattro in tutto) sono state molto toccanti e ben curate, eccole:
al Centro Congressi che é stato palcoscenico e parterre del festival in piazzale Europa, “In arte Dudu” (la Dichiarazione universale dei diritti umani illustrata da giovani artisti), la mostra fotografica di Andrea Artosi (Artax) "Parliamone in piazza", su lavoratori di origine straniera abitanti a Rovigo; “Love difference”, l’arte urbana per la socializzazione; "Inalienabile", opera immersiva di Silvia Rotelli su musica e diritti umani.

Grandissimo il consenso del pubblico per gli ospiti speciali, tra i quali i Pupi di Surfaro, vincitori sez. emergenti del 2018, il cantautore Michele Negrini, in arte MUD, la cantautrice Kumi Watanabe, il cantautore, scrittore e poeta Gio Evan, la band salentina La Municipàl.

Durante le serate sono inoltre stati offerti, presso il giardino del Centro Congressi, alcuni interessanti LABORATORI DIDATTICI e creativi gratuiti per bambini sui temi dei diritti umani realizzati dlla Cooperativa Peter Pan,dalll’artista Alberto Cristini, da La Fiondina e dalla Cooperativa Titoli Minori.
Un ringraziamento particolare va anche a La Galassa, fattoria didattica che, con l'aiuto del fotografo e creative director Paolo Boreggio, ha organizzato il ricevimento per spettatori e artisti la domenica con le sue gustose preparazioni di cibo naturale a "cm zero" dopo la conferenza stampa e incontro con il pubblico di Roy Paci.

Partner della manifestazione quest’anno é il progetto HATEMETER, che ha lo scopo di accrescere le conoscenze sull'hate speech (ovvero l’incitamento all’odio e alla discriminazione) anti-islamico online e di sostenere le ONG nella lotta all'islamofobia a livello europeo. La piattaforma Hatemeter è sperimentata e validata in Italia da Amnesty.

Il progetto è co-finanziato dal "Rights, Equality and Citizenship Programme (2014-2020)" della Commissione europea - Directorate-General Justice and Consumers.

Durante le quattro giornate dedicate alla musica per i diritti umani é stato inoltre possibile per il pubblico chiedere informazioni su Amnesty International Italia e sottoscrivere tre importanti appelli: Codici identificativi subito (per gli agenti impegnati in operazioni di ordine pubblico), Fermiamo la detenzione e la tortura di rifugiati e migranti in Libia e Verità per Giulio Regeni.

L'ASSOCIAZIONE VOCI PER LA LIBERTÀ

si costituisce nel 2003 e da allora investe le proprie energie nella promozione dei diritti umani attraverso la cultura musicale e l'aggregazione giovanile, mantenendo uno spirito che le ha permesso di riunire attorno a sé, nel corso degli anni, un gruppo di volontari in continua crescita. L'Associazione dà vita a eventi culturali e musicali in tutta Italia, favorendo l'espandersi di una cultura che, partendo dal cuore, vuole essere un megafono per tutte le voci che hanno davvero qualcosa di importante da dire.

Nota aggiuntiva dell'agosto '20: dal 2020 non pubblichiamo più il programma completo poiché il press-kit a disposizione dei giornalisti é obsoleto risalendo al lontano 2015 ed eventuali testi sono reperibili solo in formato PDF e non Word che é invece, come tutti i comunicatori online sanno bene, l'unico formato percepito dai motori di ricerca per aggregare contenuti, anziché solo immagini.

L'abbandono (giocoforza!) della comunicazione istituzionale nei nostri editoriali sulle attività di Amnesty Italia e Voci per la Libertà, ci dà però il vantaggio di poter comunicare sulle loro iniziative in maniera più personalizzata e originale, senza dimenticare l'occhio e l'orecchio critico che ci permette di scegliere con maggiore libertà e indipendenza di quali artisti scrivere, e quali preferiamo e riteniamo meritevoli della nostra menzione. “VOCI PER LA LIBERTÀ – UNA CANZONE PER AMNESTY”

DAL 18 AL 21 LUGLIO A ROSOLINA MARE (RO) CON ROY PACI,GIO EVAN,LA MUNICIPÀL,KUMI WATANABE,MUHERES CREANDO,PUPI DI SURFARO…

CONTEST PER CANTAUTORI EMERGENTI CON SEZIONE BIG,SERATE MUSICALI,

ISTALLAZIONI, MOSTRE, WORKSHOP CREATIVI SUI DIRITTI DELL’UMANITA’

All’insegna dello slogan “Sui diritti umani non si torna indietro", è partita la kermesse e 22^a competizione canora ‘Voci per la Libertà’, festival che unisce musica di qualità e diritti umani legato ad Amnesty International, in programma quest’anno dal 18 al 21 luglio a Rosolina Mare (Rovigo), con un ricco calendario di appuntamenti, sia pomeridiani che serali, ad ingresso gratuito.

Roy Paci & Picciotto, Gio Evan, La Municipàl, Mujeres Creando, Pupi di Surfaro, Kumi Watanabe, Valerio Piccolo, Michele Mud sono alcuni degli ospiti speciali in programma in quest'edizione.

Ma il cuore pulsante della manifestazione sarà come sempre il contest per band e cantautori che porterà, nella giornata conclusiva, a proclamare il vincitore del Premio Amnesty International Italia nella sezione Emergenti.

Saranno in gara otto artisti provenienti da tutta Italia, con brani legati alla Dichiarazione universale dei diritti umani. Il vincitore sarà proclamato nella giornata finale, domenica, quando sarà premiato anche Roy Paci, che, con Willie Peyote, ha vinto il Premio Amnesty nella sezione Big, con il brano “Salvagente”, dedicato alla tematica dell’integrazione.

Ha inaugurato il festival giovedì 18 luglio, all’Anguriara sul lungomare in orario aperitivo, lo showcase di Marcondiro, band di culto tra rock, pop e sperimentazione, successivamente ospite della serata alle ore 21 anche nel parterre di Piazzale Europa.

In apertura di serata, anche il progetto BO.RO.FRA (musica e danze africane come un linguaggio universale per una integrazione interculturale), ballerini e musicisti di varie nazionalità che da subito hanno riscaldato e coinvolto il pubblico.

Si sono poi esibiti tre band di grande valore e legate alla storia del festival: le Mujeres Creando, vincitrici del Premio Web Social 2018; i Pupi Di Surfaro, vincitori del Premio Amnesty Emergenti nel 2018 e l’Italo-Giapponese Kumi Watanabe, feat. Paolo Agosta, vincitrice del premio della critica nel 2001.

Venerdì 19 luglio alle 18.30 al Bar In Anguriara, l’aperitivo in spiaggia è stato incentrato sulla presentazione del libro “Cento cuori dentro” (Fabbri editore) di Gio Evan con l’intervento dell’autore, in seguito ospite d’onore alla seconda serata musicale sul palcoscenico del Centro Congressi dopo l’esibizione di Fabio Luongo, vincitore del premio undera 35 VxL online 2019.

E’ stata poi la volta, sempre venerdì, della prima delle due semifinali del concorso 2019. In lizza: Chiara Effe da Cagliari col brano “Mani stanche”, Giovi & Massimo Francescon Band da Rovigo/Treviso con “Quello che io non so”, Grace n Kaos da Rovigo con “Nero”, Chiara Patronella e la sua band da Taranto con “Pesci”.

Oggi, sabato 20 luglio il momento aperitivo, sempre al Bar In Anguriara, grande aspettativa per lo showcase di Michele Mud (vincitore del Premio Amnesty Emergenti nel 2014), che aprirà anche la serata.

A seguire, seconda tornata di semifinali degli emergenti con Enzo Beccia da Milano con “Gli indifferenti”, BIF da Salerno con “Venti clandestini”, The Roomors da Cagliari con “Marielle”, Giulio Wilson da Firenze con “Budapest (Francesco Tirelli)”.

Ospiti graditissimi e attesi, oltre a MUD, sarà La Municipàl, band salentina in decisa ascesa, guidata dai fratelli Carmine e Isabella Tundo. Pop/rock d’autore il loro, come testimonia l’ultimo album “Bellissimi difetti“.

Il festival si chiuderà domenica 21 luglio. L’appuntamento pomeridiano sarà stavolta al Centro Congressi di Piazzale Europa alle ore 18.30 con un incontro aperto a tutti, pubblico e media, con il portavoce di Amnesty International Italia Riccardo Noury e con Roy Paci, in qualità di vincitore del Premio Amnesty International Italia, nella sezione Big.

L’artista siciliano si esibirà poi in serata nel progetto della palermitana “Mayday Connection” con Picciotto, un mash up di sonorità che attraversa i rispettivi stili musicali e contenuti accompagnati per l'occasione dal producer Gheesa.
La serata vedrà come primo atto Valerio Piccolo, cantautore diviso fra Italia e Stati Uniti, che presenterà "Adam and the Animals", un concept album composto con lo scrittore Rick Moody.

Momento cruciale sarà poi la finale del Premio Amnesty International Italia nella sezione Emegenti, con i migliori cinque semifinalisti delle due serate precedenti. A decidere il vincitore sarà una giuria scelta composta da giornalisti, addetti ai lavori ed esperti musicali oltre ad alcuni esponenti di Voci per la libertà e Amnesty International Italia.

Oltre al Premio al vincitore assoluto, la giuria assegnerà anche un premio della critica, mentre attraverso le schede di voto distribuite agli spettatori si assegnerà il Premio del pubblico. Al vincitore andrà la produzione di un videoclip o di un cd singolo. Il vincitore stesso o, in mancanza dei requisiti tecnici, uno dei finalisti potrà realizzare un tour di otto concerti reso possibile grazie ad un bando di Nuovo Imaie (progetto realizzato con i fondi dell’art.7 L. 93/92). Altro premio sarà “Il migliore per noi” di Viva La Radio! Network, grazie al quale il brano vincitore avrà passaggi radiofonici in alta rotazione per tre mesi.

Presentano le serate: Savino Zaba (Rai e Radio1) e Carmen Formenton (Voci per la Libertà).

MOSTRE COLLATERALI: Durante il festival, tra il Centro Congressi, palcoscenico e parterre del festival in piazzale Europa, sarà possibile visitare la mostra “In arte Dudu” (la Dichiarazione universale dei diritti umani illustrata da giovani artisti) e tre installazioni. Si tratta della mostra fotografica di Andrea Artosi (Artax) "Parliamone in piazza", su numeri e persone di origine straniera abitanti a Rovigo; “Love difference”, l’arte urbana per la socializzazione; "Inalienabile", opera immersiva di Silvia Rotelli su musica e diritti umani.

Durante le serate saranno inoltre attivi, presso il giardino del centro congressi, dei LABORATORI DIDATTICI gratuiti per bambini sui temi dei diritti umani realizzati da: Cooperativa Peter Pan, l’artista Alberto Cristini (foto), La Fiondina e Cooperativa Titoli Minori.

Partner della manifestazione quest’anno sarà il progetto HATEMETER, che ha lo scopo di accrescere le conoscenze sull'hate speech (ovvero l’incitamento all’odio e alla discriminazione) anti-islamico online e di sostenere le ONG nella lotta all'islamofobia a livello europeo. La piattaforma Hatemeter è sperimentata e validata in Italia da Amnesty. Il progetto è co-finanziato dal "Rights, Equality and Citizenship Programme (2014-2020)" della Commissione europea - Directorate-General Justice and Consumers.

Al desk di accoglienza di Amnesty Italia collocato nel parterre all'esterno del Centro Congressi di Piazzale Europa come sempre sarà possibile per il pubblico degli spettatori ed i visitatori firmare alcune importanti petizioni, ottenere documentazione informativa scritta nonché acquistare materiale discografico e vari gadgets.

LO SLOGAN AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL 2019:

Lo slogan di quest’anno della manifestazione sarà “Sui diritti umani non si torna indietro”. Uno slogan che parte dal 10 dicembre 1948, quando l'Assemblea generale delle Nazioni Unite proclamava la Dichiarazione universale dei diritti umani. Per la prima volta veniva scritto che esistono diritti di cui ogni essere umano deve poter godere per la sola ragione di essere al mondo. Eppure la Dichiarazione è disattesa, anche perché ancora troppo sconosciuta. Amnesty International, Premio Nobel per la pace nel 1977 e Premio delle Nazioni Unite per i diritti umani nel 1978, è impegnata perché per tutti siano garantiti questi diritti. Si impegna, ogni giorno, per ricordare che sui diritti umani non si torna indietro. Tre gli appelli che sarà possibile firmare durante il festival: Codici identificativi subito (per gli agenti impegnati in operazioni di ordine pubblico), Fermiamo la detenzione e la tortura di rifugiati e migranti in Libia e Verità per Giulio Regeni.

at the Castle Belgioioso
is ready to start!

There was a time when creativity was intense, experimental and daring...
Remember the Eighties? Glamourous and eccentric, that decade, between probable and unprobable trends, was prizing for those that really wanted to blow their mind, art and creativity even until the extreme consequences of not being totally shared or comprehended. Anyway, fashion designers but also the consumers had more opportunities to express their own individuality and a lively creativity.
Let you be inspired by the next Spring edition of Next Vintage, a market and exhibition "sui generis" where more than 70 qualified dealers/exhibitors will be happy to once again to surprise and delight even the most demanding tastes on period fashion and accessories.
My friend Angela Eupani of the Vintage Workshop® cultural association, dept. research accessories brand "Sculture da Indossare" (Sculptures to Wear) will hold her 27th participation in her huge stand to be discovered and hunted at the ground floor, right inside corridor, booth n.12 of the well known castle Belgioioso, located in the neighborhood of Pavia, at the North-west of Italy, very easy to be reached via highway.
Angela and her team will be happy to show their accessories, among which: period shoes, purses, handbags, belts, little fancy leather items and costume jewelry for women, men and also teens.
Inside and outside their booth, as usually Sculptures to Wear will put on display at some giants panels their proposals of moods and inspirations that, in this edition, will be much centered on the keyword maximalism: therefore, maximum colour, expressivity in shapes, manufactoring, textures, materials, for unmissable one-of-a-kind accessories, many of which are unusual, rare or also unique.
Renewed also the co-operation with the danish artist Jacob Sibbern whose whimsical artworks will be integral part of the trends panels, together with some very expressionist accessories collected and presented by Angela with a portion of her research collection in progress that, more than 15 years ago, she successfully conceived as her "Sculptures to Wear".
Even the combinations of black & whites won't miss,especially in fresh unpublished vintage patterns of great optical impact (see photos below).

Luxury Vintage Workshop^® show at the Creativity Expo “Fabriano Maker City” (AN - Marche Region, Italy)

In the historical town of Fabriano, from next Thursday the 4^th to the 7^th of September, the entire city centre will be switched into a wondrous live Expo Show dedicated to creativity. Every district and its main monuments

will host 5 different thematic exhibiting areas which will be recognizable by special signposts and posters. Each theme will bear a different symbol and colour: “Arts & Crafts” (red colour) located at the Loggiato of St. Francis church, Oratorio d. Carità hosting a special lounge laboratory with live practical demonstrations and tutorials and at the Piazza del Comune (Municipality main square); “Smart Ability” (orange colour) at the Monumental Complex San Domenico with several collateral events and workshops dedicated to the paper handcrafts; “Art & Events” (yellow colour) at the Theatre Gentile, Atrio Chiavelli and Loggiato Palazzo Vescovile; “Street Food” (light green) located at Piazza del Podestà and Piazza Amedeo di Savoia with cooking shows and classes; “Gourmet food & wine” with the local regional cuisine specialties (dark green colour) at the Chiostro di San Venanzio with cake design, cooking shows and gourmet laboratories with the special guest participation by the worldwide famous top chef Gualtiero Marchesi...

All the events and exhibitions have been conceived in order to emphasize the makers ability and traditions as well as the manufacturing excellences of this city and its surrounding territory.

Fabriano Creativity Expo main events (see further below for the whole activities programme)

During the whole 4-days lasting Creativity Expo, as highlight of the so called exhibition area “Arts & Events”, the Italian cultural Association of the Vintage Fashion Researchers will hold a special exhibition of one-of-a-kind period purses and shoes at the Foyer of the Gentile Theatre in Fabriano, Around 50 rare highly collectable and unique exemplars dated back to the 40’s to the early ‘80’s will be displayed on an amazing labyrinth of Plexiglas showcases in the Foyer of the antique Teatro Gentile, on Via Gentile da Fabriano, 60044 Fabriano (Ancona) from the 4^th to the 7^th of September (opening times: Thursday, Friday and Saturday: 5pm through to 11pm; Sunday 10am to 11pm).

Interesting to know: The purses and shoes on show will be an absolute première as they will be exhibited for the first time and many of them, the rarest or most unique pieces, are not even illustrated on the main books about collectable purses.

All the exemplars have been especially selected and extracted from the private collection "Sculptures to Wear" by A.Eupani and from the Vintage Workshop^® Accessories Archives of Vicenza, Italy, available for rentals and consultation for the fashion designers and product managers of the international Ready-to-Wear and High Fashion companies.

The luxury concept will be explained under different aspects: the aesthetics pondering, the style beauty, the handcrafted components, the heritage of past ages, the design & creativity assets, the top quality stands of both manufacture and materials, the considerable wealth of detail.

The Vintage exhibition will be accented and complemented with the original contemporary crafts garments by the dressmakers’ clothing companies Memory’s Ltd. and Sartoria Luca Paolorossi.

The interior design installation and the special lighting system, with cold led lights due to the peculiar microclimate necessary to especially preserve some of the handbags made in pre-plastic materials, has been projected by the Eng. Ed. Archt. Francesco Sforza.

LUXURY VINTAGE a cura di Vintage Workshop^® al Fabriano Maker City, Expo della Creatività, Fabriano(AN, Reg. Marche, 4-7 Settembre ’14)

Durante la 4giorni dell’Expo della Creatività di Fabriano, il fulcro dell’area tematica “Arte ed Eventi” sarà interpretato dall’Associazione culturale dei Ricercatori Moda d’Epoca con una speciale mostra di borse e scarpe Vintage rare o uniche,di elevato valore collezionistico, storico e stilistico, esposte in prima assoluta.

Molti degli esemplari in esposizione, a rappresentare cinquant’anni di estrema creatività nella storia della moda e del costume, dagli anni ’40 agli ’80 del Novecento, per la loro rarità o unicità non sono nemmeno illustrati nei libri da collezione.

Il concept di “Luxury Vintage”: l’inedito è un vanto nel lusso, una componente che può essere spiegata sotto diversi aspetti: la ponderazione estetica, la bellezza stilistica, la pregiata componente artigianale, il patrimonio delle epoche passate, il pregio del design e il valore della creatività, gli elevati standard qualitativi della manifattura e dei materiali, la dovizia nei dettagli, il riferimento ai primi marchi di Aziende della moda produttrici di accessori, osservate nel momento del loro apice creativo …

“VINTAGE WORKSHOP^® Bologna for LUXURY FASHION” at SAVhotel on the occasion of Lineapelle, March 11 to 12 2014

The exclusive show “Luxury Vintage Workshop^® Bologna”, organized by the Italian Association of the Vintage Hunters will be held again in Bologna to exhibit for sale (and rent) a wide range of research period accessories, shoes, purses, travel bags, belts, buckles and metal ware (studs, fastenings, hooks…). The show is dedicated to inspire and help focusing creativity for the top fashion brands, high fashion collections, for the limited luxury editions as well as for the researches aimed at the Ready-to-Wear runaways.

This technical event, based in Italy and unique in its genre all over Europe, has reached its 41^st edition in the different formats presented in Milano, Bologna, Firenze and Marche region.

It is especially addressed at inspiring fashion pros, designers, stylists, buyers and shoes, bags, accessories and/or metal ware parts manufacturers but also welcomes private fans of top quality Vintage, University and Master scholars and your emerging designers.
Luxury Vintage Workshop^® Bologna will take place in a at the exhibiting hall of the SAVHOTEL Bologna-Fiera, at few hundreds meters from the LINEAPELLE Fair gate “Costituzione”, offering to an international audience a great chance to see several rare and highly sought after period exemplars impossible to see elsewhere, lending a variety of creative hints, ideas, clues, atmospheres, moods focused on the future collections S/Summer 2015.

This collective exhibition and sale is able to always display a good choice of one of the European largest and most comprehensive Vintage purses and shoes collections, a selection which is steadily in progress, constantly enhanced with new assortments by its founders.
Visitors will also have the chance to review a total new selection of recently hunted Vintage one-of-a-kind and collectable pieces, as well as the newly acquired rarest or most unique exemplars from the Vintage Workshop^® Accessories Archives that will immediately be available for rent with ready pick-up on the spot.

The exhibited accessories are in different materials from various proveniences iworld over with a special attention to “made in Italy” and European period pieces.

A special area will be dedicated to some moods that the organizing association and members forecast as possibly future fashion trends to be intercepted and captured: the Post-Punk, Dark atmospheric, Steam Punk, Industrial and new Urban Cyber that the Vintage Workshop project deviser, Angela Eupani, called “CYS” or Cyber Citizens.

This way, the show will offer a view opportunity not to be missed to connoisseurs, Vintage addicts, collectors, shoppers and in general to very discerning visitors extremely keen on quality original Vintage.

A highly skilled multilingual staff, well experienced in Vintage research, will be at disposal of all visitors for any pieces of information and knowledgeable explanation concerning the goods on display, for short-term enquiries of style consultancy as well as for any requests to organize presentations, workshops or exhibitions on demand about different topics of period fashion.
Good to know that Vintage Workshop^® isn’t either a fair or a market, it is rather a technical event unique in its genre, patented with registered trademark, with the format of both a working/commercial show and an educational workshop offering to visitors the privilege to view and eventually buy or rent highly creative period accessories.

The 40th edition of the Expo Show "Vintage Workshop® Milano S/Summer Trends Forecasts" has had its première at the Palazzo delle Stelline in the city centre of Milano last February 9-11 with opening times 9am through 8 pm non-stop and free admission. The event exhibited a whole research selection of Vintage period purses, shoes, belts, buckles, swimwear, huts and many more accessories for sell and rend with immediate pick-up on the spot.
Vintage Workshop® is pre-eminently dedicated to an audience of fashion pros, designers, buyers, stylists, textile product managers and fashion cool hunters but in recent editions the show has opened his doors to the private public as well. Vintage fans consider the show a heaven on earth as it discloses old Vintage archive and highly collectable exemplars, one of a kind pieces that are highly sought after for their uniqueness or rarity and a high stylistic meaning. All the items on show are authentic and genuine Vintage.
The show has been held in the same location and dates as the international textile Shows IntertexMilano® and Ready-to-Show®.
There has been a common idea that leads the entire expo and sale: “Ricercatori Moda D’epoca,” the Association of the Italian Vintage Fashion Hunters that organized the event, calls it “Sharing Concept”. DarkAngel0ne aka RedHawk

DarkAngel0ne aka RedHawk, regarded as one of the most glorified video creators in the genre of avant- garde music, he has collaborated with musicians: Bruce Ruffin, Gary Numan, Muse and other artists, photographers and art directors worldwide. RedHawk developed his technique through the implementation of continuous experimentation. It begins with static images and photographs which he processes to give movement and constant change through digital painting techniques. Techniques that call into question the concept of time. A picture can stop or freeze time, but he manages to give a sense of perpetual transformation, an unstoppable history that never repeats itself. The application of this special painting technique and digital morphing, which can take DarkAngel0ne several hours or even days to finalize a single picture, leads to such amazing results, transforming two-dimensional images into a constant visionary and dreamy metamorphosis of 3D art. Even the unreleased soundtrack deserves special recognition as it too was created through the concept of "free sharing." It not only brought together a dozen artists and musicians of various genres: martial Hardcore, Industrial, Progressive Rock, Psychedelic Rock and even atmospheric Folk for the final sequence; but these artists ranged geographically- from The Russian Federation, to Holland, Great Britain, to Italy and The United States. They were fused together by inspirational magic that only great men and maestros like RedHawk can share, and all this for a Not-For-Profit organization. From this collaboration a new international movie production was birthed, a visual and musical narrative that includes some of the Industrial, Martial Post-Punk, Steam Punk and new Urban Cyber themes that the Vintage Workshop® suggests for life and for the future fashion styles.

The first motion picture of the movie

The first episode of what promises to become an epic visionary film has been presented at Palazzo delle Stelline, under the title “CYS, the sharing concept on Cyber Citizens".
It begun Sunday the 9th of February at 6pm and concluded on Tuesday the 11th, same day as the opening day of MILANOUNICA, with a special Vintage Shopping Show for stylists, designers and creators all day long and a special presentation with welcome cocktail and a projection of the above described music movie on a mega screen installation inside the exhibition Hall Solari at the Stelline Palace from 5:30pm to 8pm. During both vernissage and finissage ceremonies, after the film projection the audience acclaimed the movie with much enthusiasm literarily screaming for getting a much desired encore.

Vintage Workshop première music video by DarkAngel0ne, Milano 9-11 febbraio 2014

Quarantesima edizione per Vintage Workshop® e quasi dieci anni dallo start-up del progetto che, dopo alcune ricerche svolte nel 2004, nel 2005 ha preso l'avvio con la fondazione dell'Associazione culturale dei Ricercatori di Moda d'Epoca.
Evento consolidato ma sempre in progress e che non smette di sorprendere creando forti aspettative ad ogni nuova edizione.
Seppure molto noto e richiesto nelle frange dei creatori e designer più importanti, riconosciuto come primaria fonte di ispirazione per le proposte di accessori Vintage unici e ad elevato contenuto stilistico che propone, il fatto che si fosse sempre svolto con decorrenza infrasettimanale, in concomitanza con la moda a Milano, non aveva favorito finora il pubblico dei privati, soprattutto provenienti da altre città d'Italia.
Ecco fatto, per il grande anniversario, Vintage Workshop® aprirà i battenti eccezionalmente la domenica 9 febbraio con orario ad oltranza 9/20 e ingresso libero. E, prima ancora che ne parli la stampa on e offline, do ai miei lettori una chicca ultragalattica: in prima assoluta internazionale, proprio domenica sarà presentato il nuovo movie musicale realizzato dall'artista visuale Nativo Americano +DarkAngel0ne, al secolo RedHawk, conosciutissimo nell'ambiente artistico per aver portato alla ribalta con i suoi video visionari alcuni artisti e band oltre ad aver conferito un'impronta inconfondibile a molti lavori di musicisti di fama mondiale quali Bruce Ruffin e Gary Numan. No, no, non é uno strano incrocio tra Gary Cooper e Paul Neuman (!), bensì il grande Gary Numan della Music Machine con la sua competizione internazionale che gira il mondo sempre accompagnato dai video on stage di DarkAngel!
Che dire di questo artista? Rimango sempre senza parole quando guardo un suo nuovo video che mi proietta sempre in atmosfere surreali facendomi sognare e immaginare a occhi aperti con le sue visioni che da foto statiche prendono il volo e si movimentano sbaragliando ogni diktat della fotografia che tenderebbe a congelare per sempre un momento. Le foto animate di DarkAngel0ne, che molti conosceranno anche con il marchio SpecialOps by DarkAngel, in particolare i fans che da anni già lo seguivano sul vecchio Myspace, rompono l'immobilità tipica della foto per spaziare in dimensioni mai prima esplorate, assumendo nuovi significati e un concetto di tempo inarrestabile, cambianone le coordinate e dando alla storia un ritmo diverso, un senso di inarrestabilità secondo il quale la storia non si ripete mai uguale a se stessa. Traslandone il significato, provate per esempio ad immaginare un uccello che viene colpito in volo e sta cadendo al suolo...A questo punto interviene l'arte pittorica e il talento digitale di DarkAngel che con le sue gif animate, ma chiamarle gif é davvero riduttivo, lo raccoglie in caduta e lo eleva di nuovo in volo...
Le sue immagini tridimensionali e scultoree vanno apprezzate a monitor ma soprattutto su mega screen, così a Palazzo delle Stelline, in occasione dell'esposizione-vendita Vintage Workshop, in un ambiente creativo e stimolantissimo di proposte Vintage da far roteare gli occhi, i vostri occhi continueranno a roteare perché, proprio all'interno del salone espositivo Solari, vi sarà una speciale istallazione con mega screen dove verrà propiettato a varie riprese il 1° capitolo "Cys, cyber citisens as the World through my Eyes", la prima parte di quello che si preannuncia essere un epic movie al quale DarkAngel e l'Associazione organizzatrice stanno ormai lavorando da oltre un mese e che con ogni probabilità approderà nella formula completa la prossima stagione a Milano.

Eh sì, perché il materiale studiato e raccolto dai Ricercatori Moda d'Epoca e la sceneggiatura articolata della sua ideatrice, Angela Eupani, si sono rivelati talmente consistenti, da indurre alla decisione di proseguire il movie con altri episodi per poi giungere all'obiettivo ultimo di Angela e DarkAngel che consiste nell'approdare a un epic movie che avrà come titolo "Survivors of the Third Millennium".
Partecipano al progetto completamente no-profit una decina di artisti internazionali che, a vario titolo e in free sharing, hanno fornito alcune loro opere d'arte, materiale fotografico, dipinti e illustrazioni e soprattutto la colonna sonora che, con cinque diverse composizioni, declinerà l'intero racconto sui toni dapprima Rock Progressive e poi Hardcore, Post-Punk e Industrial fino a riprendere note più atmosferiche e alternative Folk. Una musica quindi mai in subordina, bensì protagonista con l'apporto del giovane artista e compositore olandese Rezz Atrana, del compositore, designer e fotografo moscovita Sergei Boldyrev, in arte Bolser, e del gruppo inglese Wise Children guidato dal suo leader, voce straordinaria e compositore di musiche e liriche Robin Warren-Adamson.

Vi do quindi appuntamento per domenica 9 febbraio 2014 dalle ore 9 alle 20 con vernissage e inizio proiezioni dalle ore 18. La mostra continuerà, anche per gli operatori moda, designer e tutti gli appassionati di Vintage, lunedì 10 con gli stessi orari e martedì, ancora dalle ore 9, con finissage e ulteriori proiezioni dalle ore 17.30 fino alle 20 con ultima ammissione del pubblico alle ore 19.
