1949 Ford....What if?

What if Ford in 1949 decided to do a stock car that looked like a custom. What would it look like? How would the family fit in a car as this?

I ran across this modified ad on a photoshop thread and I was extremely blown away by the work done on this...it looks as if it WERE a car Ford was pushing for the public.

I have several more of these and will be posting them during the week....

I just love it!

1963 Cadillac Hearse Floor Repair

Floor rust repair being completed as we speak. This car was unfortunate to have been exposed to alot of water. But lucky for us, we are repairing the un-repairable.

This is the drivers side getting worked, its almost completed. Vintage Metal has even repaired the 'B' pillar to ensure structural integrity.

All panels were hand made.

This is a great example of smooth flowing lines. Volkswagens have always got the "short end of the stick" when it comes to design and mechanical construction.

I have always been a fan of Volkswagens, owning many myself, including one Karmann Ghia.

The owner of this car has really done it by crossing the stock lines, but adding some american custom touches that make this bodystyle flow from front to back.

When this car hits the road, look out, it WILL be an crowd pleaser!

1963 Cadillac Hearse

Vintage Metal is excited for the opportunity to work on this new project; A 1963 Cadillac Hearse, coach built by Miller-Meteor . Unbeknown'st to the idea and what to expect from the car, it's proven to be an awesome example of Old style craftsmanship and design.

We here at Vintage Metal were surely unclear of the vibe it may bring, but after a closer look, the obvious pops out; it's as normal as the rest of the 4 wheel chariots. The only difference is it sports lots of attitude from the front to the back.

Were excited for the challenge and when were done, many years will be added to prolong the life of this great car.

Here's a little trivia; on November 22, 1963, President John F. Kennedy's body was transported in the same identical coach as the one pictured here (excluding the landau bars and window covers), only in white.
