2025-11-06T06:37:00.004-05:00

Classic dual moonflower system from ProgramSistem! This is the Mephisto system which features 2 X separate moonflower units that work in sequence together. The fixtures run as a master / slave with the electronics housed in only 1 of the units. The 2 units connect together with a standard 1/4" cable for the signal. The moonflowers move to the beat of the music with an onboard microphone picking up the sound and triggering the motors for the rotation. Both units move at the same time in sequence for a cool effect! Each unit features a 24volt, 150 watt FCS halogen bulb as the light source. Great optics make these units quite bright for the lamps used in them. Rare system made in Italy.

ProgramSistem (PSL) Carosuel 12 Unit

2025-10-15T06:35:00.005-04:00

Great centerpiece unit from ProgramSistem (PSL)! This is the Carousel 12 unit that features 12 X 6 volt, 30 watt GE 4515 lamps. The lamps are wired into 6 separate circuits. 2 bulbs on each circuit. The unit chases the channels making a very cool space ship looking effect. There is also a selecctor switch on the side of the unit which activates the sound to chase mode where the unit chases to the beat of the music. PSL also made these in a spotlux style unit with capsule lamps and also a super Carosuel with 100 watt bulbs. There is also a larger version that has 24 bulbs instead of the 12 that this one has. This unit will be good to go for many years to come. We have plans to add a rotation base and possibly add external control of the light channels. Great unit made in Italy.

ProgramSistem Mini-Futura

2024-11-15T07:15:00.000-05:00

Classic unit from ProgramSistem! This is the Mini-Futura unit which is basically an updated version of the classic mirror ball. This is the full ball version. ProgramSistem also made a smaller, more compact half ball version as well. This unit uses a common 24 volt, 250 watt EHJ capsule bulb that sits in the center of the ball. The metal ball rotates around the lamp to create the effect. What is interesting about this unit is the cooling system that was created for it. There is a vent on the top of the unit that is the air intake. The fan pulls air in through that vent then pushes it into the bottom of the shaft that goes up to the ball. The forced air then comes out of the pin holes in the ball making a efficient cooling system. Very creative! Great unit made in Italy!

ProgramSistem Rotating Barriera Units

2024-11-05T07:58:00.005-05:00

Great units from ProgramSistem! These are the rotating Barriera units that are basically huge harvesters / tree lights. Each unit features a reflector assembly (Par 46) with a capsule lamp inside. Currently the units are fitted with 12 volt, 100 FCR watt lamps but can be fitted with any 6.35 base - 12 volt bi-pin bulb if less power is desired. These units feature fault lamp indicators so troubleshooting a burnt out lamp is very simple. Each unit has 2 separate lamp circuits so additional effects can be achieved by turning them on and off at different times. The lights can be colored by adding gel to the outer frame on the lamp housing. The motor is also on a separate circuit so the lamps can be flashed on and off without damaging the motor. The great feature about these units is that they can be used horizontally or vertically. The metalwork / bases were designed for either position. Awesome units made in Italy!

f.a.l. PF 074 Saturno 16 Head Helicopters

2024-10-27T16:56:00.004-04:00

Picked up a set of these classic units from f.a.l.! These are the Saturno 16 head units which are the largest ones f.a.l. made. Each unit features 16 x 6 volt, 35 watt AR111 lamps (3 degree), although 6 volt, 30 watt 4515 bulbs will work also. The cool feature about these units are they have dual lamp circuits so the outer 8 lamps and the inner 8 lamps are wired together so they can be run separately. What is interesting is the motors are currently wired to the inner rings of lights so only 2 circuits. Not sure if they were modified at some point? Typically the motors are separate from the lamps if separated at all. Great units made in Italy.

The later, updated version of this unit was the Panic made by PSL. Great unit made in Italy.

METEOR Shooting Star 575

2024-05-26T17:00:00.003-04:00

Another classic from METEOR! This is the Shooting Star unit which is a clone of the Clay Paky Astroraggi unit. This unit features a central 120 volt, 575 watt lamp as the power source. The unit has a large dome with many turrets attached to make the unique effect. There is a smaller dome inside that rotates with holes in it that rotates making the effect. As a hole in the internal dome matches up with a turret it allows light to come through and as it rotates fast you get beams coming out of different turrets at different times making a strobing style effect. There is a fan mounted in the base for cooling of the lamp. The fixture has 2 separate circuits. 1 for the fan & light and the other is for the rotating internal dome. This allow the light to be operated separately from the motor. This way you can flash the lamp without damaging the rotation motor. Unit made in the USA.

Unit is fan cooled and built very well. Made in Italy.

METEOR Stargate Unit (White Version)

2023-04-17T21:35:00.000-04:00

Great unit from Meteor! This is the Stargate unit (white version). The unit features a 80 volt, 300 watt discharge lamp to produce pure white beams that project from the front of the unit. The effect comes from a long metal cylinder that wraps around the bulb and rotates. There was also a multi-color version that added dichoric glass pieces in the rotating cylinder but this version just uses the slits in the cylinder for the fast motion the unit produces. The fixture is sound active which means when the music is present the cylinder inside will rotate to the beat of the music this makes a great high energy effect. Very unique and powerful unit. I beleive this unit was sold in Europe under the Prolight brand. Great unit made in China.

ProgramSistem Symphony Unit

2022-12-21T22:36:00.001-05:00

Classic unit from ProgramSistem! This is the Symphony unit that features 2 X 120 volt, 500 watt EHA lamps (Although currently there are 120 volt, 600 watt DYS bulbs installed) that focus into 2 bright beams of light. Each side has a metal piece that shapes the beam into a smaller round beam. These are located in front of each lamp. The beams project out of the chassis then onto 4 different colored mirrors (2 per side). The mirrors move to the beat of the music via an internal sound active circuit. The output is 4 large colored beams of light that move around the room to the beat of the music. Looks awesome in a large room due to the brightness of the unit. The fixture is fan cooled and built like a brick house! Unit manufactured in Italy.
