I'm back in NY. I would have posted sooner but I had an email disaster! It took me 5 hours to fix - I was distraught. Email is my lifeline and without it I'm out of business.

My Eudora on the NY computer has always been in a strange folder - not Program Files. So I got the brilliant idea to fix that at the same time I was transferring my email from Texas. I know...not too bright! It took me 5 hours to fix, but it is done. I hate that I lost all that time, but it taught me a valuable lesson. First - I need a better way to transfer the Texas data to NY and vice versa!. Second I need an online back-up system.

I tried one in TX but when it was transferring my data, ir frooze my email. And then customer service never got back to me after a call for help. That's the kiss of death for a company as far as I'm concerned.

NOTE TO SELF: Get your act together! There's got to be a better way to transfer data than how I'm doing it!

Greetings!

I have a strange problem with my laptop. When I do a search, and the searches come up as a list, if I click on the link it will re-direct me to an entirely different page. The url under properties is "rds.yahoo.com...." - and it's always some bizarre site. I have to copy and paste the actual URL listed. Not a huge problem just an annoyance.

I have run spyware and malware software...I read in 1 forum that I have a file I shouldn't have - I don't have the file. It happens in Yahoo and Google, but not always. I have researched the net but to no avail.

If anyone can help, please let me know.

On Saturday we ventured over the bridge, out of Corpus Christi and into the beautiful town of Rockport. I??ll post the pictures as soon as I get them. I have a few more I??m taking of the area, and then I??ll post. We stopped for lunch at Alice Fayes - http://www.alice-fayes.com/ - the food was wonderful as was the scenery. Coming from the Northeast (Mass.), this place reminded me of the type of eatery on Cape Cod or Gloucester, or Hampton Beach.

I haven??t taken time off in a while ?? I mean real down time. It was a lovely, leisurely day playing tourist and being around the ocean. We discovered there are dolphin watch tours and crane watching tours, as well as deep sea fishing. Deep sea fishing was the one thing I never did with my dad ?? it??s definitely on the agenda down here.

Greetings!

This was our first Thanksgiving in Corpus Christi. No restaraunts were opened (bummer) and so we opted for a pre-cooked dinner from the local grocery store - HEB Plus. This is ont of the nicest grocery stores I've been in, and I come from a family of Grocery Store Owners (www.donelans.com).

We realized on T'Day that we had no pan for the turkey. :-) So before HEB closed, we went off in search of a temporary pan. Luckily, they had one! But...when we were putting the leftovers away, we realized we had no cling wrap of foil. We managed, with some creative flair, to find a way to wrap things and we had some containers.

NOTE TO SELF: Send some pans from NY kitchen to CC. And don't forget to buy cling wrap!
