Writer’s block is hard to deal with at times. Depending on what you write and how much you need to do, it can feel like it’s the end of the world. It can last for days or weeks, but that can feel like forever at times and that’s not good.

The best thing to do is to avoid writer’s block if it’s at all possible. Now you may think that’s the hardest thing to do, but I’m here to tell you it’s not as hard as it may seem. To avoid writer’s block you must prepare yourself for the time to come.

To prepare yourself for writer’s block you need to brainstorm on ideas to write about. It’s a good idea to do this daily so you always have ideas to consider. It doesn’t mean you need to always revert to that list when you sit down to write, but it will be there if you run dry on things to write about.

Another way to handle writer’s block is to have a brainstorming session with your Virtual Assistant. When you do this together you’ll find you may be able to come up with topics you would have never thought about on your own.

Rewriting old posts is another way to handle writer’s block. You can take an article or post you’ve already written and write it again with a different point of view. You may also find some of your older posts may have content that’s not valid anymore or that techniques have changed. When you rewrite those articles or posts you’ll have new content quickly.

Another option to overcome writer’s block is to hire a ghostwriter. Your ghostwriter will be able to take a look at your past articles or blog posts and come up with content or she can take a few suggestions from you and come up with more on her own.

While you may think writer’s block is a horrible thing and it will be more than difficult to overcome, when you use these suggestions, you’ll find it may not be as hard as you once had thought. Using these suggestions will help you to overcome writer’s block quickly and easily.

Growing your business online and offline is important. It doesn’t matter what type of business you run, you always have the potential and the ability to grow locally. One thing you must know is there is nothing wrong with growing your business online and in other locations, but it’s important to grow locally when you can.

One of the best ways to grow your business is through business cards. They give you the ability to share your business with others and have a way for them to remember you when they need you. Your business card should contain your name, phone number, email address, and website. This information might change depending on the way you want people to contact you. Once this information is on there you’ll want to include a brief ad so people know what your business is about and what you do.

There are a number of ways you can use your business cards to grow your business. You can use them to remind your current customers that you’re there for them and this can be done when they place an order with you or when you have an in-home party. Most times when a card is given in this manner it will be placed in a wallet or on the fridge.

Another way to use your business card to your advantage is have them with you when you go to the grocery store or mall. When you see people you know or you strike up a conversation while waiting in line you’ll have a card you can hand out to let these people know how to reach you. You shouldn’t just hand them to people, but instead hand it out when you’ve talked to people about what you offer.

Some people create packs to give away to others and this is another way to use your business card to grow your business. These packs include samples, flyer’s, business cards, and other items that could gain the interest of those receiving the pack. You’ll want to make sure the packs you choose are geared to your market. These may be found locally or online.

The important thing to remember is your business card can help you grow your business locally and offline. When you create the best business card you can and you hand them out to people, you’ll see an increase in the traffic to your site and you’ll grow your business.

I do this each year in late December and it’s something I look forward to it each year. I do a lot of thinking in December and that helps me to know what I’m going to list as my goals.

I have a lot of goals that all link together into one major goal and that major goal is to increase the income for my business. Each goal that I have under the major goal will help me to reach the ultimate goal. Each of the minor goals has to do with the different pieces to my business. When each one is utilized I’ll reach my goals.

I’m excited about the New Year and everything it has to offer. Each goal I achieve is exciting and it’s a wonderful feeling. Celebrating is huge as well and I have a plan for those as well. Yay!

I hope you’ve set goals for your business as well as yourself and your family. If you need encouragement or help, be sure to find someone that can help you make it happen. Having a friend or coach to help you is what you need to continue to be encouraged and feel the need to work your business.

Here’s to your success!

As a business owner you don’t have a boss that stands over your shoulder telling you what to do and when you need to have them done because you’re the boss. You’re the one that makes all decisions and puts everything together and you’re the one organizing everything. This means you must have the best time management skills possible.

Time management is a very important skill for business owners to have because time can get away from you very easily and it doesn’t take much to lose your day. When you’re working really hard and you’re very busy time can fly by so it’s important to manage your day.

The first thing you need to do to create a time management plan that will work for your business is to create a plan. You need your goals in place and have them be visible so you can create a plan based on them. Your plan needs to include your goals and all of the tasks needed to accomplish them.

Once you have your plan in place you need to create a to-do list that includes the things you need to do in order for you to complete your plan. These need to be the tasks you need to do each day. You need to put your to-do list in the order you need to accomplish things. This will help you to know what you have to do and when they need to be completed.

Now that your to-do list is created it’s time to put it into action. Setting a timer is the best way to go since time can fly by before you know it. Depending on what you’re working on, you may want to set the timer for less time, but usually an hour is a good time. This will give you a good chance to get things done and then you’ll be able to take a break and stretch your legs a bit.

Taking a break will keep you focused, but keep you going at the same time. The important thing to remember is you must keep working so you want to set a timer for 10 or 15 minutes and then get back to work. Since your break will be short you won’t want to turn on the television or do something that could keep you from going back to work when it’s time.

When you work your day at home it’s important to manage your time so it’s important to plan ahead and manage your time so you know exactly what to do and how to do it. When you work hard and reward yourself with a break you’ll be able accomplish more than you would if you tried to do it without a plan in place.

As a business owner you may find it’s hard to sit down and write blog posts even though you know in your heart they’re needed. Blog posts have the ability to be in front of your market any time of the day or night and no matter where they are when they read it.

When you find you’re struggling to write posts or they’re taking you longer than the amount of time you have scheduled, you need to rethink how you make them happen. Here are a few suggestions to help you get through this difficult time.

The first thing you need to do is brainstorm for ideas. When you sit down to write you’ll have a better chance of writing something quickly and easily if you know what you’re going to cover the minute you go to write it.

The next thing that’s important is to avoid writing on topics you’re not familiar with. Research takes time and when you sit down to write a quick blog post, research is not how to do it.

Blog posts don’t need to be 400 or 500 words in length. Most times when people go to read blog posts, they have a short amount of time. This is why it’s better to keep your posts between 50 and 200 words. If you find you must write more, create a series of posts and link to them in each post.

When you sit down to write your post, avoid editing it until you’re done. If you try to edit it as you go, you may find the topic changes or you make it more in depth than you had anticipated. It’s better to wait until you’re done writing to read it and make any changes.

One last thing to remember is the wording you use when you write. Wordiness is not necessary, so it’s better use one word instead of two whenever possible. If you can use a contraction instead of two words or if there is a word that has the same meaning as two words combined, go that route. Not only will this give you the ability to say more, but it’ll be easier for your market to read.

Blog posts are a good way to continue to place your business in front of your market, but it may be difficult to do if you find it’s hard to write them as it takes too much time. When you follow these steps you’ll find it’ll be easier to take the time to write your posts.

When you find you need help with tasks, it’s a good idea to outsource certain tasks to a Virtual Assistant. When you set a business goal of outsourcing tasks within your business you’ll find it’s easier to grow and not have the stress you may find you’re experiencing otherwise.

There are so many different tasks within your business that can be outsourced. Some of these tasks you may know would be outsource worthy while others you may not have thought about, but you must consider them in order to grow. There will come a time where you’re going to stop growing and the reason for that is because you won’t have time to do more to make it happen. When you outsource certain tasks your business will grow.

The best tasks to outsource would be the ones that don’t make you money, but are necessary in order for it to happen. These tasks would include, but are not limited to email management, newsletter or ezine management, social networking posts, article marketing, blog posts, and website maintenance. To find the tasks within your business that are worth outsourcing, you must look at every thing you do and find the ones you don’t have to do yourself.

While you’re reviewing your business looking for the tasks you can outsource, you’ll find the ones you can’t outsource will come to light. Once you outsource those tasks to a Virtual Assistant you’ll find you have more time to do those tasks that require you or that directly make you money. These tasks are specific to your business and they would include, but again are not limited to business presentations, coaching calls, client work, or customer call backs.

Outsourcing certain tasks can be a very difficult thing to do when you first start doing it, but over time it will become easier for you and you’ll wonder how you worked your business before. You’ll find the growth you’ll have with your business will be amazing and you’ll want to continue to grow even more so you’ll outsource more so you can add more to your business and have time to make it happen successfully.

Goals help you to achieve more with your business. I don’t know about you, but that’s what I’m all about. As a Virtual Assistant I run my business for others. I love to help people grow their business and reach success. When they achieve more I achieve more and that’s what it’s all about.

Your goals need to be based on the type of business you run. It’s important to step out of the box a bit and your goals will help you make this happen. If you have never done that before, it’s best to start out slow. Create one goal that’s a bit of a stretch and go from there. If you do well with that goal, you may need to readjust your goals and ad more stretch goals.

When you create your goals it’s important to make them as detailed as possible. You need to know what it will take to reach them and the best way to do that is to write out weekly and daily goals so you know what it will take. That will help you to create your to-do list and that will help you to achieve your goals.

If you need help achieving your goals, you need to consider hiring a Virtual Assistant to help you make it happen. Outsourcing certain tasks will help you to achieve more and that will help you to reach your goals.

Here’s to your success,

I’m very excited about this year and everything it has to offer. I’ve set my goals and starting today, I’m working them and praying I can achieve each and everyone of them. I’ll share some of my goals later in the week so be on the look out for that post.

One of my goals is to make more blog posts here so I’m participating in the Ultimate Blog Challenge. Another one of my goals is to write more articles. Last year I participated in a 100 articles in 100 days article challenge put on my Ezine Articles and the traffic was amazing. I ended the year with 300 articles in Ezine Articles and I’m going to increase that number again this year.

So as you can see content is one of my goals. I’m planning to use that content to my advantage and you’re going to want to make sure you’re a part of my network so you can read everything I’m posting so it will help you as well.
So with that, I’m off to enjoy the rest of New Year’s Day.

To your Success,

During the holiday season advertising is a must if you want to grow. People won’t know what you offer or how you can help them if you don’t show them. There are a number of different ways to advertise your business during the holiday season or for any time of year for that matter. Here are a few.

1. Banner or button ads
2. Text ads
3. Link ads
4. Facebook or Twitter ads
5. Facebook or Twitter parties
6. Article marketing
7. Blog posts
8. Online parties

Each of these will work if you do them correctly. Banner or button ads, text ads, and link ads will only work if you place them on sites that are geared to your market. For example, if your business deals with baby items, you wouldn’t want to place an ad on a site specifically for men. You want your market to see your ad and if it’s placed on a site that’s not geared to your market, it’s not going to happen.

Facebook or Twitter ads are ones you write and post on your profile page. Make sure you write your ads so they’re geared to your market and that you make them want to click through. This may be a challenge with the limited number of characters, so you might consider using a blog post to do it.

Article marketing gives you the ability to increase the traffic to your site based on the bio you use. One thing to remember is your articles will be viewed during any time of year, so you might not want to write it so it’s specifically for the holidays. While this will work on holiday type articles, if you only have your holiday link up for a short time, you run the risk of losing them because the page doesn’t exist.

Your blog is a great way to increase the traffic to your site which is perfect for the holiday season. One way to do this is to write posts that are geared to your holiday products or services. Make sure you don’t write your posts like an ad. Try to show your market why they need to purchase your product or use your service. Make sure you include deadlines or the day you’ll stop offering this so people that read it months later won’t think they can get the special.

Online parties are a great way to share your site and business with others. During the holiday season there are vendor parties and holiday vendor fairs and these are perfect for business owners to participate in. They give you the ability to share your business and have a lot of people advertising it along with you.

Advertising your business during the holiday season is the only way people in other locations will know what you offer and how you can help them with their purchases. These eight suggestions will help you to make it happen. The best way may not be listed here, but you need to consider these just to be sure.
