To promote the upcoming release of Snow White and the Huntsman, a pop-up gallery has opened in Los Angeles (7710 Melrose Aveneue). Along with costumes from Colleen Atwood, the film’s Oscar-winning designer, fans will also be greeted by a mural from Mear One (interviewed). The unique 12 foot piece featuring a moonlit forest scene is painted entirely on a mirror with some of it drifting onto the surrounding walls. Klughaus Gallery is excited to present ‘Silverlink’, a group show featuring a collection of recent works by London-based ATG artistsJamie Brown, Dominic Corry, Will Robson-Scott and Jack Murray. Founded in 2000, ATG (Ahead’a The Game) is a diverse collective of graffiti writers, visual artists, musicians and DJ’s rooted in London sub-culture.

The title of the show, ‘Silverlink’ refers to the former name of an over ground line that runs from the East to the West of London. This particular line played an integral part in the worlds of all the artists involved. The group show will showcase a mix of photography, illustration, painting, collage and sculpture.

Over the last decade, the four exhibitors have been successful in following their individual creative path from their hometown of London to projects, commissions, and exhibits all over of the world. The ‘Silverlink’ show at Klughaus Gallery will be their United States debut.

Jamie Brown is a prolific artist who eagerly embraces new methods and materials. His work spans from illustration, design and large-scale murals, to art direction and 3D work. Whatever the medium, Brown consistently produces visuals with powerful colors, bold forms and positive messages that are impossible to ignore.

Dominic Corry emerged from the underground graffiti scene in the early millennium and currently works as an illustrator/designer in Los Angeles. Corry’s work is heavily inspired by classic advertising and figurative painting. His sense of humor is clearly evident in his characters and typography.

Will Robson-Scott is a London photographer currently living in New York. His work focuses on subcultures and people living on the edge of society. His work has been featured in several well-known publications including Time Out, The Independent, I.D, MixMag, Mass Appeal, Vice, and Dazed & Confused. In 2009, Robson-Scott’s work was featured throughout Crack & Shine, the first book to document London’s graffiti sub-culture. Most recently, Will’s documentation of the Gumball Rally culminated in an exhibition with Estevan Oriol in Los Angeles.

As a founding member of the ATG movement, Jack Murray (Panik) is a young artist who has been one of the key figures in the UK graffiti scene over the last decade. His typical work is a reflection of everyday emotions and life’s continual twists and turns communicated through paintings rich in mixed media. Murray combines his distinct style and energetic delivery in innovative spaces both on and off the streets. He has exhibited successful solo shows at established galleries in London and Amsterdam.

In 2011, Forbes named Stockton the most miserable city in America and the 7th most dangerous. As the 13th largest city in California, Stockton is the home of everything that doesn’t belong together – creativity, crime, education, dreams, poverty and family. Jason Leal tells that story through his lens and gives you his personal insight to the beautiful struggle of Stockton, California.

This book app also features video and music by top Stockton musicians, ranging from hip-hop to bluegrass to rock.

Alexis Marcou. graduated from Plymouth University, since then has been doing freelance work for a wide range of clients such as Cisco, Hewlett Packard and Nike.

RONE is one of the most famous stencil artist in his native homeland Australia. He has more art covering the streets of Melbourne than any other artist in Melbourne’s history. So far, RONE’s posters have appeared in places such as Los Angeles, New York, London, Tokyo, Barcelona, Hong Kong.

Filmmaker/Photographer KB Bishara provides compelling insight into the mind and process of an abstract artist. The film records his process of inspiration, and a demonstration of the execution of the artists’ ideas.

This past weekend, the Jonathan Levine Gallery celebrated the installation of Doze Green’s newest works titled “Luminosity in the Dark Rift. Along side Doze’s premiere was Kevin Cyr and his installation “In Praise of Rust” which was inspired by photos taken of old vans around New York City which inspired Kevin to render such paintings. Finally, a few photos from Eric White’s exhibition “Transmission”.
