POWER Bingo is under way already this morning. A couple words called and also a challenge posted. Did you get ready and do your treasure hunt? Sooo much fun.

While in the Forum don't forget to sign up for Tina's Challenge Make It Your Own. She is offering a super cute file for anyone who wants to work with it.

On to life...
I am kind of in a zoned mood this morning. Not alot of focus. Thinking about making myself a little breakfast and maybe go for a walk for a while. My son has the "Horse-o-poly" game sitting out here on the floor. So I have a feeling this is in my future. He is still sleeping, but when he wakes up it will be his first decision.

My hubby and I were talking last night about things to do this weekend. he was making his to do list. Men and Women definitely tackle their lists differently. He sat down with a piece of paper and lists headings and items below those headings. I read it and think HOLY Smokes! He listed what he wanted to accomplish this summer. We'll never going to have enough time to get this all done. I was thinking about it after. My lists are limited. I just write what am I gonna accomplish right now this weekend. what has to be done. Those on the More team know that I have to-do lists. That I am constantly putting items on. Most things coming in today go on tomorrows lists if they can. I focus on finishing on what we have to do just this weekend. Not this summer. Thank goodness my hubby has the ability to plan for the rest of the summer. I can plan vacations, but to do lists. hmmmm.. not so much. I mentally note what on that list has to get done this weekend and what we have to do to get it done.. pick up parts... find time.. order we should do them in to get all done and still have some play time. My realization after thinking about it was... We make a good team. Which made me smile. So I am off to peruse his list and pull off it the items I need to accomplish to help us get things done.

One of our items is to clean up our RV for sale. We have this teeny RV which I just love, drives like butter, Only sleeps 4 (for us just 3), has a regular bathroom. Anyways we are putting it on the market in order to rearrange a few things to better suit our needs. So this weekend I need to clean it out. I love this little RV, but it is time to move it on to another family. So hopefully someone will see its potential. It has a few years on it, but hardly any miles. So I am keeping my fingers crossed. :::Mental Note List.. Get tubs for supplies in RV to clean it out::

Well obviously I am rambling, but my brain is coming out of a fog. I am headed for my quick walk an on to some accounting. Maybe that is why my brain is fuzzy. Bookkeeping> ugh. get it done and move on to designing files!! woohoo!!! My always favorite part of the lists.

I hope your day is filled with happy and fun things to do today and your lists aren't long and if they are filled with lots of fun!

Thanks for listening to my mental ramblings... coherent sometimes and not so much others.

Have a wonderful day!
Enjoy!
Chris

Chris Durnan, designer at www.visualdesignsbychris.com
GSD KNK WPC AI SCUT files for your personal digital cutters for use with scrapbooking, cardmaking and other hobbies. It'll get your Motors Revving!!!

****

Well I dont know why but yesterday I decided to take a look through the Rock Band world and see if Country had been included. Apparently lots of controversy and complaints over things like "LEAVE OUR ROCK BAND ALONE" Boohoo Don't add Country. I find this humorous for some reason. I also play on an older machine a PS2. So I am excited to say Rock Band: Country Track Pack is coming out on July 21st. I am thinking about calling game zone to see if they are getting it in on the 21st or if I should order from Amazon. I like to play Rock Band. I, at times, find it humorous when my 5 year old is walking down the hall singing or yelling in his best rock voice. NO SLEEP TIL BROOKLYN by The Beastie Boys. (Not so funny when he is suppposed to be walking to bed. ) I still own a few of their cds. I have a diverse collection of music. When my Dad was hear to visit we played a little Rock Band. My Dad still giggles about it and comments who funny it was to see his grown daughter whacking on a drum pad and his grandson making up words to keep the pitch right and make extra points. HA! Once we get the country version we will have to get it home and practice up some so when he comes down again he won't be laughing. I am looking forward to this game.

Here is the set list according to Amazon. One or two I would have left off, but this is a pretty acceptable cross of the music.

The Set List:
Alan Jackson - "Good Time"
Brad Paisley - "Mud on the Tires"
Brooks & Dunn - "Hillbilly Deluxe"
Cross Canadian Ragweed - "Cry Lonely"
Dierks Bentley - "Free and Easy (Down the Road I Go)"
Dixie Chicks - "Sin Wagon"
Drive-By Truckers - "3 Dimes Down"
Jason Aldean - "She's Country"
Keith Urban - "I Told You So"
Kenny Chesney - "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy"
Kenny Rogers - "The Gambler"
Lucinda Williams - "Can't Let Go"
Martina McBride - "This One's For the Girls"
Miranda Lambert - "Gunpowder & Lead"
Montgomery Gentry - "Gone"
Rascal Flatts - "Me and My Gang"
Sara Evans - "Suds In The Bucket"
Shania Twain - "Any Man of Mine"
Tracy Adkins - "Swing"
Steve Earle - "Satellite Radio"
Willie Nelson - "On The Road Again"

Lots of fun! well I am back to catch up on yesterday and my computer Melt Down.
Have a wonderful day! And remember One Man's Noise is Another Man's Music.

I must say Today is my Dad's Birthday. A wonderful Man and large part of my life. Happy Birthday to him!!

Enjoy!
Chris

BTW Here is a URL to No Sleep Til Brookly on You Tube. For those who are included to hear it. My son usually only sings the chorus. The rest of the Rock Band Game he hums to keep it on pitch and win extra points.

Chris Durnan, designer at www.visualdesignsbychris.com
GSD KNK WPC AI SCUT files for your personal digital cutters for use with scrapbooking, cardmaking and other hobbies. It rained Thursday night. Poured and Poured. Freckles decide to go out and check out the wet world and play in the morning. This is after she cleaned herself off some. She wants to know why I am holding a camera and not itching her belly. I like the differences in the picture between the straight wood texture and her crazy fur and then of course the BLUE eye staring at the Camera like Come on Come on! Scratch my belly.

**

Saturday we went to some friends. We love to go to Prescott for fourth but needed to stay home this year. So we went over to some friends. There was a little girl there that we know through family friends and associations. She is a cutey. I am hanging inside for a bit with the kids. so they aren't pulling down curtains, coloring on walls, eating on the table not on the plate on the table. Those kinda things. The little girl apparently is learning that hitting is not so Kosher (according to her Mom). She smacked me on the arm and although I couldn't imagine there was a mark. Slight tingling because it is the arm I refer to as "the dog arm". The nerves still aren't just right in it and it still bugging me. I looked at her with this pure puzzlement... I am thinking an apology now would be best your move. And I didn't say anything just cocked my head a little and stared at her. My little one says behind her... "Oh you better not do that again. My Mom does NOT like to be hit. You better say your sorry." And the little girl giggles at me jumps up on my lap "It doesn't hurt she says. It was just little and is giggling" So we have now figured out her game. To get attention she hits and smiles and giggles. Still nothing out of me. And I am not glaring or anything. Just waiting to see how this plays out. "My son pops up and says "Yeah but my Mom thinks hitting is Rude. I would say I am sorry". Sorry she says and wraps her arms around my neck and squeezes tight. I squeeze her to. And say "it's okay, but please don't hit me again. It is very Rude". She smiles and gets down. My son just smiles as if to say. SEE I do listen ( I am so proud of him. My Kindergartener in two weeks. Yeah!)... But outloud he says... "CAN I have some strawberry cake now? I had the brownie a long time ago." Haa! Time Warp Continuum as he still has brownie on his fingers, face and just a teeny piece on the end of his nose. Or is that some of the chocolate strawberry. Who knows. The freedom to choose the school your child attends. The freedom to choose the church you attend. The freedom to see a movie that is R Rated. The freedom to get up in the morning and go for a horseback ride. The freedom to make bad choices and the freedom to make good ones.

This freedom is reinforced for us daily by those in our military. It is protected and secured by the duties they endure, the loss their family feels, and their pride of service. I know many who are military or are married into military and there is definitely this "Pride" that you can hear when they talk about their loved ones or their own lives affected by the military and it's choices. Sometimes frustration and hurt and loneliness and irritation over the choices they may not have a hand in can be heard. But also there is a "pride" that rings through. PRIDE in what They and We stand for as a nation.

I must say I am proud as well as a citizen of this nation of our rights and the abilities we have to make choices and live in our own homes and under our own Independence. I am also proud of those around me who step forward and stand in front of my freedom and independence in other nations, on our borders and around us. They protect my family and I as well as our freedoms. They may not be their visibly to me on a daily basis, but they are there. I thank them for that.

I hope as you choose your bbq to attend this afternoon or make your plans or watch the fireworks display. Find that moment of silence to remember the day celebrates our nations independence and through that your individual freedoms. And don't forget to include that prayer for the safety and return of the fathers, sons husbands, wives, mothers & daughters that won't be choosing bbqs today, but will be choosing our best line of security and protecting this great nation and everything it stands for. Also, you can do your part on this holiday simply by making great decisions and good choices. Please designate a driver if you choose to partake in livations.

May you and yours have a safe and happy holiday!

Happy Fourth of July!

Enjoy!

Chris

Recipe Swap

Here are my two sets of recipe swap cards I am sending in. I made this coaster album for a friend of mine. I asked her to grab some coasters when she went out to eat and she keeps giving them to me everytime I see her. SWEET!! So I made her a coaster album. There is room for more pages. I punched the hole with my new big bite cropadile and first time I officially used Stickles. Wow. Just wow. Okay and Wow. love it.

Many ask me what I do for pictures. I used to take them on the kitchen table. Then I looked into lightboxes and I have a few issues. I don't want to give up anymore space in my craft room for a light box. I didn't like some of the sizes for the lightboxes and I am a cheapo. So I came up with this. I purchased a white project board. Those ones that have two sides stand up on their own and can be used for science fairs. I cut the side and creased the back. So when I want to take it out. It takes me just a few seconds to fold it and put little paperclips overlapping the edges so it stays in place and I already had the lights under my cupboards. So I talked to my Aunt In Law and she showed me the settings on my little digi camera to change the white balance. I must confess I never really went past the point and click. There are a lot of buttons that thing.

So that is my easy peasy cheapo lightbox and when it gets dirty I will just buy a new board. It isn't the high tech photography photos but it met most of my needs and requirements. I have been told by a friend I should get a small light to point up from the front of it. but I am okay with the results for now.

Have a wonderful day!

Enjoy!

Chris

Chris Durnan, designer at www.visualdesignsbychris.com
GSD KNK WPC AI SCUT files for your personal digital cutters for use with scrapbooking, cardmaking and other hobbies. I am taking the QMC with early bird files for July-Sept out of the store this weekend and putting up the straight QMC for the remainder. If you want to join and get more files for the dollars then now is the time to join and quickly!

And now on to life...

Our view from the hotel balcony in CA. Very nice

Lots of fun for sure.

Things I realize and remembered on vacation…

-You should always put sunblock on your lips. If you don’t yowser you will have a swollen lip. Apparently I won't need lip injections. My lip felt huge. my hubby said WOW (with an evil grin) when I woke up when morning and could feel my lip was swollen. So I chased him around the suite with my scary lip and a pillow. I'll Pow him with the pillow for that wow.
-I love my family! My in laws include me so much they feel like my family and are my family it is wonderful!
- I may have been thinking about getting cable again, but after one weekend of it and watching my son watch. I still don’t want cable tv.
- I really love my home. We were so happy to get home!
- It is hard not to check email every day. Thank goodness for my blackberry. (Yes Lori I am addicted)
- I miss those I chat with in the forum regularly.
- I am digging the fruity martinis.
- I forgot to take the QMC down with the early bird files before I left So I will be taking it down the weekend I get back.
- I love to hang out with my hubby and my son. We just have fun together.
- I love to only hit one theme park on vacation and take it easy for the rest.
- Love to watch my hubby and son interact with new experiences. Like feeding Sea Otters and Stingrays. So fun.
- I love my digital camera. I panicked because I thought mine got wet and wasn’t going to work. Ended up being a dead battery. So I snagged an “old school” disposable for half of the sea world day. I let my son use up the rest of the pics. So I am interested to see what he came up with in shots.
- I am bummed I didn’t sketch out my ideas and am trying to get them down in thoughts today before I forget them all.
- I for the first time ever loved the bed at the place we stayed. My hubby and I decided we might call and ask them what brand mattress was in the room because it was the first ever we both loved. Can you tell we need a new mattress.
- I love my nieces. Their giggles and smiles just make my day. To hear them giggle in a fit of exhaustion at the end of the day was the best!!!
- My hubby is fun to share a nice dinner with. And my son is the best for dealing with it by being good and hanging out with us when he’d rather run like mad and play.
- Life is awesome! Love my life.

And now I am off to get the horses ready and loaded for the evening and meet my hubby at the Team Sorting with trailer, child and horses in tow.

Have a great weekend!!
Enjoy!
Chris

Chris Durnan, designer at www.visualdesignsbychris.com
GSD KNK WPC AI SCUT files for your personal digital cutters for use with scrapbooking, cardmaking and other hobbies. I type to you today from a window overlooking the ocean. We are having a wonderful time so far. Although I am worried about our little family of animals at home our house/pet sitter and friend says they are doing just fine. So that means... Off to the beach we head as soon as all the nieces and my kiddo get it all together. Oh no wait. That is as soon as I finish something with caffeine in it. I just wanted to stop in and check a few emails before we head out to the beach for the day. Have a wonderful weekend!!

Enjoy!
Chris

Chris Durnan, designer at www.visualdesignsbychris.com
GSD KNK WPC AI SCUT files for your personal digital cutters for use with scrapbooking, cardmaking and other hobbies. Aren't they cute! My Aunt is a big party hat fan. Me... hmmm... Not so much. It just emphasizes the fact that I could have a few pounds to lose because now the string on the hat has caused a roll under my chin. Wow. Under my chin. Yes I am not really a party hat person. There has to be a phobia name for that. We had wonderful Salmon for dinner and Gluten Free Chocolate Cake freshly made by my Mom. was wonderful!! Went home tired and happy.

So today we went shopping for the Father's Day gift. We will be out of town for Father's Day so my kiddo has decided he wants to give Dad his Father's Day present early. because well.... We have a playstation 2 here. He and I wandered through the store over and over front to back and have been searching for the perfect gift for a weeek or two now when we go to the store. He finally settled on an old PS2 star wars game and was adamant it was the one he wanted to get for Dad. And to go along with the theme found a card that plays the star wars theme song. And some may worry that I am posting this and my hubby will read it. He has told me many times he doesn't read my blog because...... :::drumroll please:::: HE LIVES IT! :: what's he trying to say? I could take that negatively. but I think I will just take it at face value. he lives it. So he must love it as much as me. haha. Maybe not the PMSy parts, but I can't stand those parts either. But anyways. my son is proud of his choices and he just sat down and wrote Dad on the front envelope all by himself and his name in the inside. and I did a little tweaking to the card so it says Happy Father's Day to Dad and not Happy Father's Day to a son. because it had the right star wars music and we haddddd to get it. haha. so I am waiting for the Marker to dry. Why do kids love Marker so much? Kinds like when someone gets their nails done and blows on it. but I am inhaling marker fumes and waving it and praying it will dry some time soon so I can put it in the envelope. The game has been wrapped. It has been wrapped in two pieces of bright yellow drawing paper with packaging tape and blue painter's tape (because I use this on my cutters we have a lot of blue tape around here) It really is a work of art in itself. I think the yellow paper may even be taped to the packaging wrap for the game. hmmm. I might have to video tape the hubby opening this and post it on here. haha.

anyways. it has been a great week and I have been taking it easy as June was supposed to be my month of rejuvenation. I have my little notebook packed for sketching on our trip. I am very excited for some time with family. our plans include sea world, San Diego model train museum, beach, seafood dinners, maybe seaport village and just being together. can't wait. So I will chat with you all when I get back.

Lots of folks in the forum to answer any questions. I can't wait to see all the cutter file challenge entries when I get back. If you have any questions, I will return them when I get home.

Have a wonderful weekend!
Enjoy!
Chris

Chris Durnan, designer at www.visualdesignsbychris.com
GSD KNK WPC AI SCUT files for your personal digital cutters for use with scrapbooking, cardmaking and other hobbies. However, you prefer to download and get them all down. You have until June 30th and then July 1st the new membership opens up and we move on.

Direct Link to Private Forum Section: http://www.visualdesignsbychris.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=89

All 4shared users should have the download link in the pdf file offered when purchased.

**ALERT** ALERT** ALERT**

If you missed the April – June 2009 signup period, Here is the last chance. I have had so many email with users asking me to join after we closed the doors and I have heard every reason. I have never had this many requests and a lot from past members. So, I am going to post it to the store for a short time at this link HERE. It will be up for just today and tomorrow and then I am moving on so I can work on next. Jump on in there at the very last minute. And download the 29 files. All come in SCUT AI GSD KNK WPC

There is a wide range of topics covered in this quarter. A lot of these files have been added to the store already (so you can take a peak at them), but you couldn’t get these files all grouped together for $10.00 total.

Here is this quarter’s list…

1. The QMC’s are dismantled and not available after the last day. If you think you might possibly ever buy another machine and need a different file type. Please download all file types. Some of the QMC files never make it to the store. So they are originals and just for the QMC. Please remember to backup. I hate to lose files as I am sure you do to. Download twice to different areas anything you can do to protect your purchase.

The different between 4shared and the forum.

The difference is the 4shared files are uploaded individually and the forum is uploaded in zip file. Two different setups for whatever your download style.

NEXT QMC… In store shortly. You get up to date information directly to your inbox. You get an email about once a week. And there is no chatter it is soley a newsletter group. so about 4 or 5 emails a month.

On to life...

Quickly our California trip will be upon us. I am so looking forward to it. My kiddo and I went to the library yesterday and checked out a California DVD to watch about all the places in California. Yes I am an amateur tour guide whenever I go somewhere I have looked at all the maps (I LOVE maps.. you can ask Lori & Jan. I think they saw my whip out the map while Lori kept asking do you want my gps and Jan had out her Iphone. I just had the map and it was quick!) I am going to hit AAA next week and print out a trip-ticket. Have you ever seen one of those. Lots of directions and map. It is literally the stops and starts like a gps, but on paper. And I can flip ahead and look at it or see where I have been and even better NO bossy voice telling me where to turn or merge. I love road trips and I love just going as I please on them. I plan to get a map and lay it out on the floor with my son and hubby and mark out our possible road trip. And thinking about bringing some small stickers so my kiddo can mark on the map where we have been. I can't wait. So looking forward ot it. Yes I might be slightly demented in the technological age, but if their is a massive scrambler of gps waves I will have my trusy map with our really cool stickers on it showing the way. haha.
**
Yesterday we went to the library and looked through some books. We went right at reading time for the pre-school kids and most of the kids seemed to be very young pretty much the same crowd as the Toddler time. My son just kind of looked at me like I am not a baby. So I said come on lets go to McDees. So we headed out to McDonald's and yep that is where the 5 year old kids were. So we grabbed lunch and he played and ran and had a good time. I kept an eye on him and also checked a few things on the Blackberry. As I glanced up to check. I look over and the Mom's with the other 25 kids there are all faced towards the window. I am literally the only Mom sitting facing the kids and even glancing up to check on the kids. Okay that means I will just keep an eye a little more. So I see a kiddo get slammed to the ground and he hasn't bounced back up as most will do and he is one of the smaller of the bunch. so I walk over and squat down next to him. Are you okay? He is just dazed and it appears he has bit or cut his lip. yeah I am okay he says and just lays there a bit. All of a sudden I feel the shadow over us. WHAT IS GOING ON? I felt like saying "Oh hey Mom nice of you to join us" But instead I hear. "He is fine i am sure he is fine." I back out of the picture and tell her. "yep he looks fine although he is bleeding." .. I then hear.. "Oh Oh I didn't even see what happened what happened what happened." So we have gone from Who gives a fig let me have "MY OWN TIME" mom, to WHY are you bothering my kid Mom, To Oh my Histerics Mom. The little boy sits up and pats his Mom's leg. "I'm okay I'm Okay." (so apparently he has taken care of mom before) Now the woman has a tear because her son has blood on his lip. Which has now dried. So I said. "You could wash it off. it quit bleeding." And I smile. So she disappears with child in tow. My Son runs up behind me hugs my leg and takes off again. (We have check ins. he has to check in with me while anywhere and no words are needed just eye contact, or hug, or Mama and a nod something.) So Identity Crisis Mom comes back smiling. The little boy takes off for the playland and Mom sits down again ... and you guessed it... facing out the window chatting with her friends. I had to smile because the view is pretty out the window and the conversation is good with friends, but I so love to watch my son just run around and figure out the playland area and make new friends. Love my son. Love my life.
**
My son is in negotiation mode. I told him no wii until he had some things put away. So He is trying to figure out how to get out of it. Ha! to funny. If I do the laundry and the dishes. He can put away the legos and the cars. We got a new TV we have been hanging out with a little tiny tv for the better part of two years now. Our large one quit, then the digital conversions and all that. So you get used to the little tv that looks like a computer monitor. Well with the new LEDs coming out my hubby proclaimed now was the time to get the LCD and he was right we got one for half the cost it would have been a year ago. well my son decided to try wii Lego star wars last night. He was frozen in time as it came up on the screen and his character gets ready to play and we hear him say. "WHOA look how big my guys Head is!" hahahaha. Love it. My hubby just smiled a big ol smile. and said "Can I play to?" Love my hubby. Love my life.

Have a wonderful weekend!! Enjoy yourself! Don't forget to check out the challenge in the forum and the store for any sale items I can come up with.

Chris

Chris Durnan, designer
GSD KNK WPC AI SCUT files for your personal digital cutters for use with scrapbooking, cardmaking and other hobbies. Lots of fun.. There are a couple big pads of paper stuffed under there. Things I can alter and I have wanted a big bite for a while. So I thought I would stack them all in and take a picture. Lots and lots of fun.. :-) And lots of holiday gifts planned in there. We hit hobby lobby, scrapbooks etc., joanns, sheplers, the dollar tree.. woohoo!!

And this is Lori and I on Sunday morning we met up with my brother and his wife and she took the picture for us. great time. And yes. I am shorter then Lori too!! haha. I definitely have a height deficiency, but it isn't slowing me down.
Here is something Lori learned this weekend.... When you go to buy an icey slushy drink from the convenience store. Just because it is Red doesn't mean it is Cherry, strawberry, raspberry or watermelon if you are in Arizona. hahahaha.... We ran into a convenience store for a drink. I grabbed my typical Sobe. I am not sure why Iam addicted to those things. Lori heads her way I head mine she grabs a drink and walks my way. Then she says. Oh wait I want that. I glance at the slushy machine and on the top it says Hot Tamale, Fruit Punch (which is blue) and Coke. So I put the lid on my cup of ice for the Sobe. Love my ice... Lori walks up behind me and sucks down the icee and says in her Southern accent." WEW! That is different it's cinammon. Wew".. so I got her a lid. we walked up to the front and paid. We got out to the car and I said. Are you sure you don't want a bottle of water to go with that? She sat for a few minutes and ran back inside to grab something. She proceeded to inform everyone that" just because it's red in arizona doesn't mean it's cherry." very cute, very fun, made me giggle. Had to take a pic of her holding up some hot tamales in the store. Might have to put some of these in Lori's Christmas Stocking this year. haha.
So my Hubby and Son spent some serious time this weekend just hanging out and being boys. Apparently they did whatever my little one wanted to on Saturday. so they went to the movies, the play area, for pizza, for ice cream, to play video games. all of the above and more. Needless to say my hubby when I walked in the door sat on the couch and looked just zoned and exhausted. Made me giggle. He did all of that in one afternoon when I would have spread it out over a week. haha. To cute. Sounds like they had a ton of fun. here he is with his super 3D UP movie glasses.

A new thing this morning .. My son this morning comes out of his room singing.....

and it burned burned burned.. that ring of fire that ring of fire.

I paused to listen and I said are you singing Johnny Cash?? He smiled at me and said it's from the car.. Who wouldn't love a little Johnny Cash song sung in the key of 5 year old. Love it! Love my Life..

Enjoy!
Chris

Chris Durnan, designer
GSD KNK WPC AI SCUT files for your personal digital cutters for use with scrapbooking, cardmaking and other hobbies. It is an easy read as you pass through the blog reading phase of your day or week. I invite you to visit her blog and I would visit before you find her files in the store HERE. because she is offering a discount.

Stay Tuned for more announcement this week... We ran out of tin to continue on, but it should be going up within the next bit. Have to order it in.

My son just had a wonderful time with his Grandpa and his Cousins. lots of fun. I have to download some awesome pictures to post. Most of them are of the zoo nature. They are mostly on the front page of the store. HOWEVER, we now have the $1.00 deals section in the categories and you can look through those to get a better listing. Lots of changes going on in the store. So there will be a few announcements coming up next week.

And the most important thing for those who are straddling the fence is... THE QMC is gonna close after this weekend. This quarter has 20 files to so far and the last 9 are in the works. If you want to join in and get those files at a super lower price. Then visit the store HERE and sign up. If you miss out you can sign up for July-Sept when it loads to the store in the next week or so. But the current files won't be available accept on individual purchase in the store. So jump on in. We'd love to have you.. There is always room for one more.

And that is it for me today on busines.. so on to life..

It is almost the weekend. I am working on all the things to prep for lots of events this weekend. Most important I am thinking about those friends we have lost in the process of servicing the country. Thinking about explaining to my son the great importance of this day and honoring. He recently graduated from pre-k and they chose to do patriotic songs. So they sang God Bless America a few others and Proud to be an American. So my son has been taking this song (because they memorized the whole thing) and breaking it down into pieces and asking us what the lines mean in the song. And we have been explaining it to him. It has been perfect timing to prepare for the weekend. Below are some pictures from the pre-k ceremony.

Yes that is my son conducting in the picture above. He practiced over and over the song because he wanted to be the kid that got the mic part. However, he didn't make the cut I guess so. He decided if he wasn't gonna be the guy then he was gonna conduct him. hahah. too cute. And as you can tell He is very SERIOUS about his conducting. haha.

*

And the practicing in our house included the bathroom. I would ask him what he was doing and he was sitting on the floor belting out the words at the top of his lungs on the floor of the bathrom. "What are you doing hon?"" I am singing MOM. It sounds good in here" My son has joined the ranks who sing in the bathroom for the acoustics. IT IS awesome. I love to sing. I had a better voice in my younger days and Now that I have had surgery my throat just is not the same. i can feel I don't have the power in it and at times it just makes me cough. So I have shied away from singing outloud. But singing with my kiddo around the house makes my day. Sometimes we will sing made up lyrics about what we are cooking. Ever heard an opera about peanut better and jelly sandwiches? Well you would if you lived here. I love my life..

*

I won't be around a whole lot this weekend. As my Dad is coming to town to hang out with his grandkids and the men are coming over to put a new roof on the house. woohoo!! (Tip: if you want rain in ARIZONA.. take the roof off your house. It will rain for two days straight. )
*

Everyone enjoy your Memorial weekend and I hope you find that moment of silence where you can say a prayer for those who support our country through the military. Whether you agree with those in charge, there are still men and women out there doing what they can so that you can enjoy your BBQ this weekend without fear. So I hope that moment comes for you where you can bow your head and thank those who give their lives.

Have a wonderful weekend!
Enjoy!
Chris

Chris Durnan, designer

Chris Durnan, designer
The designer of the original QMC - aka Chris's Cutter File Club.
