<p>The before and after image effect is a great way to quickly contrast two images. While this effect is most often created in Flash, you can create a similar effect using PowerPoint and Articulate&#8217;s seekbar.</p>

<h2><span class="entry-content"><span class="elearning_tutorials">Step 01:</span> Set up your images</span></h2>
<p><span class="entry-content">The effect works by animating one image over another. Open PowerPoint and insert two images on your slide. The images should be the same size. The top image is the image that animates over the bottom image.</span></p>

<h2><span class="entry-content"><span class="elearning_tutorials">Step 02:</span> Apply the wipe animation</span></h2>
<p>Let&#8217;s add the animation effect. Select the top image and go to <span class="elearning_highlight">Animation &gt; Wipe</span> and set the direction to <span class="elearning_highlight">From Left</span>. Now, you&#8217;ll need to modify the animation timing to get the smooth, sliding effect. I find <span class="elearning_highlight">30 seconds</span> worsk well. With your top image selected, go to<span class="elearning_highlight"> Animations &gt; Timing</span> and enter <span class="elearning_highlight">30.00 in the Duration</span> field. And finally, set the animation Start event to <span class="elearning_highlight">With Previous</span>.</p>
