Today indeed wraps up fashion week. I followed from day one making sure I got some type of clue of who was who this season, new faces, and what was "hot" on the runway. Runway is indeed my favorite aspect of modeling, and its a huge deal to a model. It makes of break his/her career. I await the day that ii step for on the runway for a major show. Its coming. Anyway, here are a few of my favorite shows.

So, Im practically 6ft tall, hence the name "VivaLaAMAZON." I guess you can say I "tower" but only by a smigin. As an aspiring model I had to get out of the habit of being shy and thinking I was too tall for heels, wrong! I used to be too scared of what people would think of me because I would be like 6'5 with heels on. None the less, I have no problem wearing them as long as I have a good reason to. Im not like those girls who would wear heels to the mall or to school, its just not my deal. But I have no problem slipping into a bad pair. Here are a few Ive been drooling on.

1. Jeffrey Campbell "rockin platform" These are a beautiful pair of wedges. Cant get over the cut out, its beautiful. Im surprised I like these because I usually despise wedges because of their usual "cork-like" bottom. But I guess these are wood, not cork.

2. Mercer boot. These are a wonderful pair of wedges. Easy shoe to make any outfit instantly edgy.

3. Jeffrey Campbell "Lita Spike". I NEED THESE SHOES! I used to HATE the litas, but I guess as time went on they grew on me. And they became every fashionistas "need to have" item. Any pair of litas would do really but there is something about the lita spikes that make me want them even more. Maybe its the spikes but they are gorgeous. Everywhere I look online they are sold out, boo. I will have them. Cross my fingers. UGH, I drool.

Oh how I long to strut down the runway, working flowy garments architectual pieces, structured shoes and all the above. I know my time will eventually come. Im just excited for things to be going somewhat smoothly. I finally got my comp cards in today and i have to admit they came out exceptually well. The man who did them is a local photographer and he is like super nice and well be keeping in contact. Now to mail out my comp cards to people that are interested. Anywho, anyone who in into fashion knows that NYFW is a big deal to designers, editors, buyers, bloggers, journalists, as well as models. Not only are there shows but events, seminars, get-togethers etc. Now for some inspiration:)

Hello readers, wherever and whoever you are:) I have been trying to break into the modeling biz for a little over a year. And when they say its not easy, thats exactly what they mean. Here are my favorite models...

Runway: Karlie Kloss

Hands down, the girl knows her stuff. I am so inspired by her on the runway, and my walk is heavily influenced by her. Not only does she dominate the runway, but her mean stare makes her a favorite for print as well, total package.

Print: Lindsey Wixson

In one word, PHENOMENAL! She is soooooooooo I dont even knonw how to explain how this girl is. Extremely gorgeous and a favorite for print, lovely all the way around. Google her print, you will be in awe!

All around: Chanel Iman

She is a bombshell! This girl has it all in her hands, runway, print, shes an all around supermodel. I dont care what anyone says about her. Shes on her money!

Lara Stone

Lara Stone is such an inspiration to me because we have similar body shapes. Were both slightly thicker than the average model. Me being that I'm African-American, and black women have naturally thicker bones. For her to be a supermodel and the standard for a model is a toothpick is such an inspiration. Love this girl, beautiful inside and out.

Old School: Tyra Banks

This woman is beautiful. She made her name a brand and knew when it was time to hand in the stilettos for something new. As an older model, I have such a respect for her because she knows the business. I dont care what anyone says about her. I LOVE TYRA!

Now on to my photoshoot. So I have a photoshoot Sunday [duh]. Its mostly to build my portfolio. Because I was in modeling school I had a small photoshoot to start building my portofolio. I hope to get some more editorial and mature looking shots to show variety and diversity in my portfolio. Cant wait! Nervous but ready. Heres a shot from my first photoshoot.

Thrifter + Jobless

Lord knows I need a job. Urban Outfitters was hiring in my town a few weeks back, but I didnt get the job. As a model and artist I need to be on my game, right? Right. I would love to work at a thrift store like Good Will or Value Village, especially Value Village. Im a sucker for thrifting. If I could do it everyday, God knows I would. I normally only thrift, unless Im out of town, then I splurge a little. Im an avid thrifter, and I like the fact that you can take vintage pieces and bring it into 2011 and fit it into my style, absolutely love that fact. I havent been thrifting that long though so I wouldn't call myself a pro, probably just under a year, maybe less. Anyway, thrifting is my thing. It sets me apart from trend sucking girls, it makes me unique, original in a way. My closet has become stuffed with interesting vintage pieces from blazers to pins. Its random, I know, but I cant wait to see what the future holds for me. Hopefully I can get a hold of a camera so I can take some fashion pictures to post up, but until next time.

Just The Beginning

Hello. This is probably my gagillionth time making a fashion blog. Either i got tired of it, deleted it, or forgot the password. But I made a promise to myself (not really) saying that I would make a blog, and keep up with it gosh darn it. Any who, my names Keerah and I love everything fashion related. Im obsessed really, especially with modeling. Its my dream to become a model and singer one day. Lets hope its soon. Im Christian and love Jesus Christ, who so happens to have good taste in fashion.
