Theres not a whole lot I like to watch but recently I've watched some old faves and found a few new programs that I've liked.I love British comedy like Spaced,Black Books,Father Ted,The Mighty Booshto mention a few.
Its a bit difficult to find decent clips of some of these shows:(

I've recently had the urge to rewatch Teachers starring Andrew Lincoln( Rick Grimes in Walking Dead)

While looking for good clips,I stumbled on the American remake.....oh dear it was terrible.I hate it when good comedy gets remade and gets ruined.It usually seems to be things getting remade for the American market as I've yet to see anything American get remade for the uk(I looked it up ,seems we only get American game shows remakes:S)
Im not saying this as a snub at American tv,I love alot of American comedy(Seinfeld,Friends,Scrubs,Big bang theory).

I just wish they wouldn't try to remake good British comedies:( generally it seems the reason their funny is because of their Britishness (at least thats how i see it)...thats a difficult thing to explain but well I guess its like Skins,I saw the US trailer....it just doesn't work.
I guess what Im trying to say is,watch the originals:)(saying that I hear The Office was remade well(i never liked the uk version) and Whos line is it anyways also does well..)

Back in 04 I stumbled upon this program on Channel 4 and instantly love it.It seemed at the time that a lot of people really believed it was a real 80's show about supernatural going ons complete with 80s special ex,slow mo and bad dubbing ...but its not:D

It was made by Matthew Holness and Richard Ayoade(Moss from It crowd) and also stars Matt Berry(Bainbridge Might Boosh and Douglas Reynholm from It crowd), a couple of eps also star mighty Booshs~Noel Fielding and Julien Barrett.
I love its cheesy-ness and Dean Learner(Richard Ayoade) brilliant awful acting XD

Life:urban decay Naked palette,YSL lipstick and some other purchases

I feel like I've got writers block:( just can't seems to think of what to write about these days.

So I'm just gonna write and hope it break itself:)

so recent purchases .....recent being from feb/march to now....so not all the recent I guess hahaha

YSL Rouge Pur Couture#06 which if your following my twitter you might know of my love /lust for YSL lipsticks......I really do love them

XD this ones embossed with the YSL logo ,my Rouge Volupte wasn't:( (probably because its softer)

naturally i had to put it next to my other YSL lipstick(rouge volupte #7) ...and as wonderful as the packaging is ,it does have a downside..fingerprints and smudges show up reallly well:(

Comparing the colours.....#7 is a light pink where as #6 is peacher,their different formulas too.

and then on to the biggest purchase and lust for a while the Urban Decay naked palette..again if you've been following my twitter you'll know all about my longing for this item.It came out agesss ago but at the time i didn't buy it as i didn't have the money for it and figured bah i'll get it later.Big mistake,its been sold out ever since :( but finally i managed to get it and for cheaper:S
Debenhams were having a sale at the time,something like 10% off or something either way i picked it up for £28 pounds which sure does beats the stupid £40+ some people where charging on ebay ..the nerve of some people eh!

enough rambling..on to the pictures..no swatches as their about a million already by other bloggers on the web.

I'm so glad i have this,its quickly become a staple in my everyday make up and it really is a beautiful palette.
Packaging could be better(its this velvet stuff that picks up everything) and the brush I got with it ,is pretty lousy tbh but im happy with itXD

Picked up the new Maybelline gel liner when it was on offer at boots,I saw that it was rated quite highly in gal magazines so was interested to try it....
Comparing it to my very old(probably needs replacing)MAC gel liner

Its early days as I haven't used it alot so I can't say for sure what I think of it ,the brush that came with it thou is growing on me but I have suspicions the gel liner its self isn't as good as my MAC.I'll try and write a proper review once I know what I think of it:)

New schedule book as mine ran out 2 weeks before I got this one and I was utterly lost! Then I received unexpected items from the sun...way back in feb I tried to claim this free Barry-m kit from my local Superdrugs but was told that they were out of them...this was on the day the paper came out.I was shocked but I emailed the sun and they told me to send in the coupon and then I forgot about it and bam this arrived.

Bought my first Illamasqua product(the other item was a gift for my friend)....you'd think being the make up lover I am that I'd love Illamasqua and lust after it but well I don't ..... it baffles me that I don't but well they just don't do anything for me.I'll keep an eye out thou,maybe I'll change my mind:)

Picked up some Sleek lipsticks on a 2 for £6 thingy,rather impressed by them.The formula reminds me of my MAC Amplifed creme lipsticks:) and their in gorgeous colours too!

More random daily purchases such as mouthwash and toothpaste(riveting eh!)

Love the Cushion thou!I love skylines,and the different layers of this one sealed it for me.

Then finally I took advantage of the Buy one get one free offer that was on all Disney films and added to my Pixar collection XD

Life:2 weeks in pictures

This was suppose to be "a week in pictures" post but since I've not posted for a while its "2 weeks in pictures"

I always like reading other peoples posts like this so I thought I'd do my own,I've done them before on my lj but never on my blogspot.

So recently all it seems like I've been doing is working,sleeping and meeting friends for coffee.Can't complain:D, however thats means my computer times limited:( and when I do find myself online I end up with headaches :(

So whats new....got some new cosmetics and make up brushes which I'll talking about another time,had an awesome time at the Norwich gal meet up with some lovely gals which I'll have another post for too and ......its my blogs 2 years anniversary on the 25th.XD

:O I only realised the other day*bad blogger* Don't think I'll have time to put a giveaway together for the actual day but I'd like to do one for it possible at a later date:D

On to the post..

So last week consistied of....

1.poorly cat sitting funny on the stairs(plus bonus of him sticking his tongue out lol)

2-6.a day with my friend spent shopping,chatting,eating and discussing holidays,

7.Look magazine~Liberty for Nike trainers...so cute:D

8.nails of the week~ModelsOWN -Jade stone

9.went out to the pub for an evening with work friends

10-13.end of week saw the beginning and finish of the epic task of priming and painting some of my furniture (i hate painting!)

14. The mess left in my room

Then this week...

1.Received some Melliesh in the post(will show what i got later:D)

2.Began putting Cds from my teens onto my computer..a task I'd meant to do many years ago:O

3.Ended up at the pub again:O and then went to see Thor~Outfit for the day feat:W<3C

4.picked up some new Barry-m polishes and some Sanctuary facial oil

5.Despite having the new polishes I felt in a Lilac mood and opted for OPI instead(and YSL #7 lipstick for the day)

6. Shared a Blackberry Kopparberg...can't say I'm a fan of this flavour

7.Received my Love-makeup.com order of real techniques brushes

8.Lol random book I saw in a shop window on a night out

9.Watched some Mighty Boosh<3

10-11~Received my Sigma order

12.Purchased some dupes for the Topshops Sugar heels I really wanted (but couldn't justify the price of.)...these were about about a 1/3 of the price

13. After a long day at work serving pear ciders I had a massive craving for one:D

14.BLUE skittles!!:O

15.Nails of the week~Barry-m peach melba

16.I love how lazy and relaxed cats can be

pheww all done thanks for reading,hopefully I can get back to blogging on a regular bases.

I guess I've just felt very unmotivated recently and I don't feel like I've got alot to say or show...silly really:(

Life:update about CELTA and bb spam

Argh I think I've been gone from blogging so long I've forgotten how to write:O haha

Hmm I sorted took an unofficial accidental hiatus,I say that because I had intended to post during my course but I was busier than I had anticipated:O and thus no post to say I was on a hiatus.

So those of you who follow my twitter or facebook will know I was on a CELTA course for a month.
CELTA is a qualification for teaching English to adults (it stands for Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults)it was an intensive 4 week course 9.15-6 for 5 days a week with 6 hours of teaching practice(at 3 different levels) and 4 written assignments.......phew anywho I finished the course(nearly a month ago) and got a pass:D!!.So now I'm CELTA qualified.

It feels like a lifetime ago that I did it when in reality it finished about 2/3 weeks ago:O It was an amazing experience ..heres a summary of some of the things I can remember off the top of my head....

it was very hard,harder then I had anticipated even though i knew it was going to be hard:S
I hadn't realised how much work went into teaching before,I knew they did alot but I never realised how much other things they had to think about.
I met some amazing wonderful people and I don't think I've laughed that much in a long time(and i usually laugh alot) It felt like a little family,everyone offering support and getting along.
My tutors were beyond fabulous!!I don't talk about it often but basically on my degree course all those years ago, my uni tutors were unprofessional and set unachievable goals and standards.Being under that kind of pressure and stress made my course utterly awful,I'd struggle to make my work better only to be told it was rubbish,no constructive criticism.They'd make bitchy snide remarks,in hindsight i should have put in a complaint but I just didn't think about it then.There was a whole heap of other things but I don't want to dampen a positive post. --The jist I was getting at was ,that my CELTA tutors where amazing,all their criticisms were constructive and they always had positive things to say.Being in that kind of environment makes you so positive that even when you get down you think "its ok i can improve...I'm here to learn:D" as opposed to .."whats the point?i've worked this hard and gained nothing:("!
A main aspect of the course was assessing yourself,after every lesson we taught we had to fill in a self reflection sheet talking about what we liked,disliked about our lesson or what we could improve on or what went well.Which was really helpful in developing.
I came to enjoy having a routine,up at 6am catch train at 7am school at 9.15 lessons all day till 3.45 then teaching practice till 6pm and home at 7.30/8pm.One of the downsides though was that once i got home I had to do lesson plans and written assignments:(.It was tiring and a little irritating at times to live so far away from the school but it was nice to have a set routine.
Teaching practise was nerve wrecking but really fun(providing my lesson plan was done properly) There were some really funny moments.
My dyslexia really sucks!!I'd kinda forgotten about it tbh,it only usually causes me issue with writing essays,being organised and occasionally reading things wrong but my dyslexias pretty mild.With this course being so intensive it really pushed my Dyslexia to its limit and with me being a kinesthetic learner I found it difficult to learn as quickly as most of my course mates.Sure I can learn a little via listening and seeing but for me I learn best by actually doing things.

So all in all,even though I had moments where I thought "why am i doing this course?TOT I'm rubbish at it "and nearly crying/actual crying moments :O I'm so glad i stuck at it and took it in the first place.It was awesome and in the moments where I felt like quitting i didn't because I realised I really enjoy teaching.

I could write a whole lot more about the course but I thought i'd summerise:)
So right now,I'm looking for summer school job so I can get some experience,the plan was to go to Japan to teach but well that something i have to keep an eye on at the moment.In the mean time I've got my old job back and I've taken on a 2nd job...how bright of an idea that is, remains to be seen:S So in the next couple of weeks I think I'm working ehh something like 15-20 days minimum in a row .....O_O*thinking of the money and not the lack of sleep*

Also took advantage of Debenhams having a 10% off all cosmetics plus free shipping and to top it off i had another voucher for another 10% off.So I got this YSL lipstick I've wanted for ages for £18 instead of £22 ...yer still expensive but I love YSL lipsticks,their amazing!

and finally got my mitts on the elusive Urban Decay Naked palette!!XD its gorgeous thou I'm a little annoyed at Urban Decays official twitter,I asked them 3 times if this palette was still being sold in the UK as it was sold out everywhere and they never responded.I mean its not like I didn't google my question first to see if there was an answer.How rude:(

re organised my make up and realised I have a lot of not quite finished products:O

Brought a star light thing from ebay,put it together badly:( but its still pretty:D

Visited my ex house metes in Leicester,I'm in the bath room of some bar here, it has really awesome walls

I've falling so behind in my blogging and commenting ,im trying to catch up but it difficult when you've a backlog of photos from Novermber to post.

Anyways I compiled my "recent" purchases,some of these are from as far back a November:O so it looks like an epic haul post when really its things I've acquired over the last 2 and half months.Just bear that in mind when you view please:)

From the week before xmas I received a parcel which contained the diamond lashes and Canmake I asked the lovely Emma to get for me in Japan,she also included a letter:),some fliers/promo and a little extra gift of a W<3C sticker(which i currently can't think where to put)

I almost brought these when I meet up with Emma in the summer but I talked myself out of it as i was trying to be good with my money. Inevitability I crumbled and couldn't resist.I haven't worn them yet as I haven't had a function I felt they fitted:(

Eyebrow razors from ebay,when I take up close photos of my eye make up I am always annoyed by the little blondish hairs I can see.Silly I know but they bug me.So far I am liking these,it means if I miss a bit of my brow(which I do often) this will catch it.

My younger sister had a friends and family discount thing just before Xmas,I had gone for present buying until it dawned on me that I pretty much already knew what and where I was getting peoples gifts from.Thus trip was pointless.So I ended up with some very pretty Revlon polishes and a few hair products I wanted to try out.

More ebay brow things.Not that impressed with this one.

A Xmas gift from my friend that I naughtily opened early,but in my defence it was small so I was worried it would get lost:D

Picked up some Cath Kidston Cuticle Cream from TKMaxx:D I quite like it

MAC had free shipping before Xmas ,so I picked up the prep+prime powder as my Candydoll powder has finally run out and 2 eye shadows though one of them was a xmas gift from my mum to me.

Lol a month late for this....anyways my Christmas was quiet but nice,family and good food.:).

This year I asked for perfume,socks,Girl with the Dragon tattoo book,ds case and candles.There wasn't really anything else I wanted to be honest:O

I was quite shocked to find I had been brought 2 perfumes sets:O

and then pretty much everything I had asked for ..

So I now actually have a collection of perfumes (the Chanel was brought around xmas too)

In the sales...I didn't go to the sales much as I was struck down with a virus.When I was feeling better I got this ring at Accessorize and the leather jacket from my previous post(which i ended up returning as it didn't suit me)

I never wear gold jewlerry as i don't think its suits me as well as silver does but this is still pretty.

Oh god more MAC(self imposed MAC ban from now on)

Madga posted before about the Dazzleglasses and I just impulsively brought one.

Finally found the Gosh Holographic polish, and theres a better photo of the Barry-m polish i posted in my bb spam.Highly recommend that barry-m colour.

However the same can't be said for the Gosh polish.Gorgeous shade,appalling formula.:(

Again in the most recent post I spoke about a xmas present I got from a friend,unfortunately practicality was an issue and I had to exchange it for a bag that I could actually fit my possessions in.(I spoke to him about it and he was fine with it)

It was such a shame because the other bag was gorgeous and sleek but due to the way the internal compartments where laid out, if I did fit all my things in it I couldn't close it.

So I exchanged it for these...

This was actually the bag I was originally going to get before I got lured away by the sleekness of the other one.

I've wanted it since September or October (or whenever it popped up in store) I'm really happy with it,it fits all my things in perfectly (with room) and can work for both casual and a little more dressy.:D

This post is so beyond over due it isn't even funny!!
Oh dear I disappeared again,but with Xmas and it being the season for sniffs and sniffles(aka being ill) you can probably guess where i've been.Super busy with work(only overtime i'll get ) and being ill:(
Boo Im never ill but i've been ill twice this winter:( First I had a sinus cold thing which passed quickly and then just after Xmas ,my sister gave myself and my entire family an extra Xmas present of a flu like virus.I was kinda angry at her ...not for being ill ,that hardly her fault but for being selfish to come over when she knew she was ill ohh well what's done is done.......

So while I was ill the first time,feeling hot and cold and generally kinda of nauseous .I received an email from Eilish(Koneko) saying I had won her giveaway,I never win anything(seriously the last thing i won was a tombola/raffle? i believe and it was one of the types where everyone wins,hahah) and i wasn't expecting to win especially seeing as how i nearly missed the deadline for it anyways:O

Heres what she sent me:D There so much that I've not even tried it all yet :O

Life:October and Novembers favourites

So I've done a post similar to this before(see in and out tag) but thought i'd do one that really highlighted my favourites for the month.

So to begin with as its approaching December and Christmas,that means that the Christmas drinks at Starbucks and Costas have been released XD

Creme Brueile Latte

While i do wish there was a Starbucks where i lived so i could have another toffee nut latte(though i hate that they charge for soya but thats an argument for another post) my fave this month is a Costa drink,Costa is my cafe of choice in my town as I like the atmosphere and their coffees:)
In particular I am loving their Creme Brulee Latte,yum! Its seriously good.

Inglot Brown Shadow(forgotten the number)

This is from my Inglot palette I blogged about before.While I like my Mac Sable shadow which is a similar colour, this is a darker more chocolaty brown which i find warms my complexion more.
Its been my go to shadow this month.Highly recommend Inglot shadows.

Mac Mean& green Polish

I am in love with duo chromes,their gorgeous.This one reminds me of the colours you get when you see petrol on a wet road...eh does that sounds odd but its what it reminds me of.I find it shimmers between green,purple,yellow and red.

Barry-m Dusky Mauve Polish

Another polish:O I haven't yet blogged about this purchase but its alledgedly a dupe for Chanel's Paradoxal .

Seche Vite Dry Fast top coat

I had heard alot of good things about this top coat and when my CND polish ran out last month ,I purchased this one.
I love this!!Its works so well for me,my polish dry quickly and not only that but it does actually make my polishes last longer.I've always been disappointed with every top coat i've ever brought but this one it just perfect for me!XD

Shiseido Eyebrow Pencil

I usually use a powder and a pencil for my brows but in the last couple of months I've been using my UD powder on its own.I'd forgotten about my pencil:( So this month after rediscovering it,i remembered why I love it.Its the perfect brown for my brows and its blend so well.

Aloe vera

I've been battling with my Eczema this last 2/3 months,its really been getting me down as its on my face:( and my usual products i use to get rid of it haven't been working( i.e aloe vera gel,embroylisse creme,coconut oil etc etc).I remembered I had tried a sample of this about a year ago and really liked it,so i brought it and its really helpedXD
Its a combonation of aloe vera ,bee propolis, and vit E & A and as of this moment my eczema's pretty much gone and the skin is smooth:D *fingers crossed*

Badger Balm

Got this in mid October and I've been using it ever since.This isn't a magic knock you out balm but i definitely feel it helps me fall asleep quicker.Smells good too:D

So it wouldn't be right to not mention my least faveourites aswell.....this month its the usual hating for the buses(always late!!) and the terrible bitter cold winds that winter bring.:(

Its been a while,I've not been blogging about outfits and purchases recently because I haven't really been going out or buying anything:O.Its that time of year where noone has any money or can be bothered to go out since its cold and dark etc etc or at least its seems like it is:(

UPDATE:So since last time ,I've been on holiday ..only to Centre Parcs but it was lovely.Just what I needed,spent that week hanging with wonderful people,playing liars dice,swimming,spa and drinking pina coladas!

After that I've been working(boo) going to Costa and trying to stay warm since its so bitterly cold at the moment:(

I got accepted onto the CELTA course I applied for XD I missed the October one I wanted to do as they were full:( but they asked me to come for an interview for the Feb courses.

It was suppose to be me and 5 other people but for some reason it was only me in the interview,oh well it worked out alright.

It's scary but exciting scary:)

Nails:MAC Venomous Villains

EEE been busy busy,sorry about that.

So at the beginning of October the MAC Venomous Villains Collection came out, initially when I heard about the release I was really excited and after seeing the swatches I wanted a fair few products.However in the end all I brought was 2 polishes as (at the time) they were very unique and I'm a sucker for anything duo chrome or holographic XD

I was aware that ORLY have dupe polishes in the form of their Cosmic FX collection but that's a very difficult brand for me to get hold of and ironically worked out more expensive (at the time).

*ACCESORIZE (available at Superdrugs in the UK) have just released their new make up line which has 3 polishes that are allegedly dupes~HERE £4 for 10ml*

So I picked up Mean & green and Formidable(bad fairy didn't interest me) at £8 a piece :O most expensive polishes i own now.

Overall impression

I've read reviews of some people loving these and some people hating them with the main complaints being that the brushes are rubbish and the consistancy is too thin so they take forever to dry.
Well for me ,I really like them.Their beautiful colours,my brush on Mean & Green is a bit frayed:( but i can live with it.The consistency is thin but for me it doesn't take ages to dry cos I do 1 thin layer and then a thicker layer followed by a 3rd layer (and sometimes a 4th depending on how opaque i want it) and honestly I can live with that as long as the layer don't feel to thick.
They chip the same as my other polishes but i really need a better top coat in order to evaluate that better:O

Price~ They are expensive in comparison to other polishes £8 for 10ml( and their limited edition so their probably insanely priced now on Ebay)
Price comparisons~ Accesorise dupes are £4 for 10ml,OPI can be £9 for 15ml(Ive never paid that much but thats their rrp) and Barry-m are £2.95 for 10ml

If your interested in these,I'd probably go for the ORLY ones or Accessories ones as their probably cheaper and easier to get hold of.:D
