Back To The Future 2010

Seriously been thinking a lot - at times i want my memories to just wipe off as it is but then again I cant. It lingers for a while before i forget anything. For the past few days, I have been thinking and how i wish i could turn back the future; rewinding my life 2 years ago. Anyway I'm blogging about it before I forget. I refer those involvement with initial name and no full name mentioned here :)

I just shifted to my new department - I lost two close friends during this period of time but i overcome my feeling knowing that my brother was coming back for the holidays. I think if werent for him, i probably wont keep my insanity stable. As usual i went back to office after the new year and started packing my stuff. My close working partner WL is soon to leave. I have already applied my advance 2 weeks leave to be around with my brother and at the mean time playing with avoiding attitude as well. I bid her farewell - trust me the feeling was horrible - such as see you again ... but I'm not to sure if the see you soon applies to me then. I went for my long holiday forgetting all my thoughts

Feb 2010
It was CNY and my brother was still around. We went for a road trip back to Penang. By the time i came back from CNY, its time to start my new environment at the new department. Finally im all packed ready with the trolley shifting 2 level downstair. I saw my workstation - start unpacking and load my stuff. I sat there and i realized i do have a neighbour. She someone i dont even know then but i heard of her. My new working partner G wasnt sitting next to me yet but somewhere on the other corner. Seriously the person sitting next to me isnt really happy to know me - again the same impression - who the heck is this gal sitting next to me. Anyway i told myself, vivien just do your work.

March 2010
G was my new working partner. She sat next to me. We were very close then. Surprisingly i always thought she was the quiet person but she turns out to be the noisy one - happening one. So the working style change a little, I have someone to work with to get things done around. If i recall, it was after CNY, department was rather quiet - G shared the same birthday month as me - so when i came back to work, i took her out for a birthday treat. Just me and her and i started to build friendship.

April 2010
My team expected two more sales - guys but only 1 turn out. There was another new colleague on board - C who happens to be our new developer. C was introduced to me by G. Seriously when comes to introducing, G is the best. She has the best PR in my department and everyone wants to get to know her. Everyday my world involves myself and G a lot. Then C also came in and C also very close with G.

May 2010
There were some restructuring in my dept and one of my colleague decided to pursue something else. Someone else was hired to replace her position. There is where TY came in. TY was a replacement of my colleague and she wasnt introduce in a nice way by her mentor. Her mentor seriously dont know me then - she couldnt remember my name. So i have to introduce myself. She sat directly opposite my table. That time i wasnt really in the mood of wanting to know C and TY. All i ever bothered was myself and G. G was really close with TY then, so close that when TY started her job few days later, during lunch time, G came back with TY and was like telling me - Hey vivien, how can you possible leave TY eating alone at the canteen. I look at G and said nothing. TY wasnt bothered.

June 2010
TY wanted to attend a concert in Genting with a friend. That time G was super close with C and TY that i was neglected. They go breakfast together - i dont, as i have breakfast myself. G invited me to Genting, i was anti social at first as im not close with TY and C seriously. Finally i agreed but then on that particular weekend that we are suppose to go, i back-off last minute because of some issues. TY only went with her friend, both G and I didnt go in the end. Friday, i came back to take emergency leave, that time i dont have TY number. I was in the hurry, i came to office, told my boss that i have to go - and left TY with a note. Later evening, i got a message from TY - that how i added her number and slowly she added me on Facebook.

June 2010
There was another event outdoor, seriously i didnt get myself involve. Most of them did as i was not bother at all of such events. After the event, they went out for lunch together - G, C and TY but no vivien then.- i wasnt close with them.

July 2010
G had an assignment to do some resort review - first impressions i thought G is taking me along. I can be the photographer. But that time, G was so close with TY so G decided to take TY along. OK fine! ...Surprisingly that time G was also very close with C. C also thought G will take her. Ok serious problem here that all 3 of us also want G attention. LOL
In the end G went TY - they both enjoyed the outing. This is where it all started, i was starting to get to know C better. Some time around, i was away outstation - then G invited me to someone birthday. It was the day i came back tired and seriously i wasnt in the mood to go, so i messaged G saying sorry, i cant make it. G was a bit disappointed with me.

August 2010
Things changed a little. G got very close with TY and basically they do most things together. Then i got closer to C and i realized wow, we have a lots and lots of things in common. Maybe our age gap is not really far apart. We had one event - i actually dont like volunteering myself. So happen that friday was our first day of the big event at KLCC convention centre. Out of the blue, i went over there on Friday. My working day became full time slave. Setting up pc for them, getting password and helping them out. From there, its how most of colleagues got to know me and what I'm good at. There and then, i wasnt close with TY - i know her existence but our chat/relationship was only colleague then. If i recall, over lunch at Burger Kings, i said to my colleagues, yeah...i noticed so and so but not TY. TY was seriously a bit offended that i never take notice of her.
It was that hectic day that brought me closer to my colleagues. I got lunch for them. After the event ended for the day, we all went back together. That is when i take notice of TY more as in who she really was. One time i took half a day to go Mid Valley to look for something. I know TY loves Domo (that brown little square monster) a lot suddenly and i saw one row/set of it in one of stalls. I was thinking should i get this for her since her birthday was around the corner. At first i said - dont have to ...then later somehow, i walked back after i was about to exit. I bought the whole set and went back to office. That time i was a bit shy and wanting to surprise her - so i decided to ask C to help me. So i called C downstair and passed the item to C. Told C, you give this to TY. I left office till later when i got TY message, i was happy that she loves it :)

Sept 2010
G out of no where suddenly suggested - want to go Cameran Highland for 2 days 1 night. That time, we were kind of very close already. G, TY, C and me. Were like buddies at work. But still to me then i was still close with G. Whatever G does, i do or join. Then we started the holiday planning. Seriously i been to Cameran but since G suggested and i want to please G. So i said ok. G invited C and TY too. Ok....it shouldnt be a problem going on a holiday. I booked the hotel, figuring how to get there as TY offered to drive but needs my navigation. TY also very confident that I can drive them up to Cameran. It was Friday as usual, a working day, suddenly in the evening, G said she might not be able to join if her aunty pass away suddenly. There and then i was thinking, why whenever we do things together - got like bad luck or jinx. When G messaged me on the night itself, seriously I was a bit disappointed and wanting to say, shall we just cancel the whole trip. I wasnt really in the mood to go Cameran without G then. I dont see myself going Cameran with C and TY. Whole night i had sleepless night, should i also back-off or just go with not so happy mood. Next morning, i went to office - that's our meeting point. I had breakfast with TY. You know what was my feeling then? Very nervous, not comfortable - like as though im going to die sooner or later. C came shortly and we departed for our holiday. I wanted to keep quiet and listen to my mp3 and ignore both of them. The journey was surprisingly very long. We took the new route, easier to drive but super long - we wasted a lot of time travelling. But the long journey was fun and we had our conversation which i never had before. We got to know each other better. I got to know TY better and also C. C was close with me there and then, so I'm comfortable with her but not TY. Slowly the journey up to Cameron was fun - I didnt really listen to my music but chat along they way.

Cameron 2010
It took us more than 2 hours or longer to reach. As we navigate yourself, enjoying the breeze air and coming into a big rubbish place, there is where we laugh over that incident. I was feeling much more comfortable with them. Once we reached Cameran, we had our first lunch together. We ate and we check in to our hotel. Then naturally we decided what shall we do. It wasnt really plan at all, so we took the car and went down and make several stop. We stop at one point - there is where we had our first coffee together - ok now i know both of them love coffee like me and desserts. We ordered our coffee and dessert and sat there. It was raining then. We just there and enjoyed our dessert and the beautiful surrounding and we took photos together. I was much more relax now and started to message G teasing her how she miss all the lovely stuff. After the rain, TY and C suggested we go all the way down and check out the scenery. It was drizzle and we started to walk down. It was a very long walk down and i was almost out of breath. We took more photos together in between the tea plantation. Once we reach right at the end, it was like only us. We spent time together for a while before we decided to walk back up - out was really out of breath by the time i walked back up. We got to the car and drove back to the hotel to refresh ourselves. Night approaches and we head to the pasar malam. We have things in common, to look for dessert especially TY loves strawberries. I love strawberries too and knowing dessert with strawberries are so yummy. We found a shop and told ourselves, we come back to this later. We hang around at the pasar malam. Bought some snack and ate together. We bought a lot of maze as we got pre-order back from the office like 50 corns! TY saw one strawberry bag - somehow that feeling that i had changed totally. She couldnt find the one she had, and there is where i started to go round the stall and ask for it. In the end i found it and bought for her that strawberry bag. We went back to our hotel and drop all our corns and in search for dinner. We had steamboat together that night. It was enjoyable. Seriously there and then, i was some sort got electrocuted right into my brain cell that i should be looking forward for my days with this two wonderful people - C and TY.
After dinner we wanted to go for our dessert but it was rather late and the shop was close. So we went and takeaway 3 packets of hot coffee back to our hotel room. In the hotel room, we got to know each other better - i got to know their habits and we became suddenly so close. We watched movie together till very late till TY falls asleep. There is when we call it off for the day.

Next morning, we all woke up - we went hunting for our breakfast. Then we went to see strawberries and we found our dessert. They got to know me better on who i really am. I ordered dessert and we shared. Seriously the happy face in me and the moments that i really want to treasure. We left Cameran after we check-out. Along the journey back, C asked us - so what the interesting part of this trip ? We all enjoyed ourselves, that time i took over the car and drove them back home. C never been to cameran before and she enjoyed it. TY been before and she enjoyed it - but i told them yes I have been before many times with other friends but seriously what i enjoyed most was the company. They agreed too.

From this very moment, our life changed - maybe not for them but it was for me. I went 360 turn and for once, i look forward to go to work the very next day! I started to join them for breakfast, lunch, tea time. That sunday itself TY was suppose to work and was alone. I was so happen nearby the event and i message her. I asked her if she wants to have lunch with me and she said OK. We sat down and ate sushi - sharing our chat and we have something seriously in common - we hate someone in the office! LOL

October 2010
halloween was approaching and we spent most of our time together - yes that G, TY, C and me. Then there was another close colleague P who seriously close with G too. See how famous G is from my entry. There was another big event my company held, we all volunteer ourselves as slave to the event. We did a lot of stuff together and it was enjoyable that particular busy night. We had our dinner there and we enjoyed our first movie together. Beside that Halloween was approaching and G suggested a movie outing - straight away, i agreed to join if TY and C goes. After work, we actually went over to another colleague's house. We had our dinner there and something happen. While dining, i actually saw a bee. Ignoring it till after dinner, i bend down to take a cat photo. Few seconds later, i felt a huge sting on my wrist - realized the bee stings me and died on the spot. There is where i created such an emergency scene. Everyone around was so concern about me and i was feeling too good after the sting. My hold hand was numb. They were so worried about me and G decided to send me to the nearest clinic. G drove me and everyone else came along. I was really touch then - one moment they panic and worried the hell about me. They drove me to the nearest clinic, got a jab on my butt and some pain killer. They kept on asking me, are you ok vivien? You want me to drive you home. I dont want to spoil the night and i told them - im fine, let go back and enjoy our horror movies. We went back and continue with our horror night. I was in pain but sitting in the dark watching horror movies with them makes me feel so nice.

November 2010
We all suddenly plan for another trip. We were all bored and wanted to do something during Christmas. We decided to go 3 days 2 nights to Penang. I arranged everything by booking a condo for us. There and then i was really super close with C and G was super close with TY.
We did everything together - going to the beach, eating together. We didnt do much while we were in Penang but it bonds us closer. I became very close with TY. TY even bought Christmas ornaments for my bald orange Christmas tree that i put in the office and garfield stuff for me.

December 2010
Its christmas, after our trip back from Penang. G organized a barbeque new year party. All of us was invited. It was fun that new year eve. After the BBQ, we even watch a movie together at G's place. I left about 1130pm because i was suppose to attend another new year bash!

Can Colleagues Be Your Close Friends

I believe yes. I mean there are a lot of saying that you have to be careful when you mix work with colleagues. Yeah that still applies but you cannot go against everyone and for the past 11 years of my working life seriously, i do meet colleagues and they became my close/true friends.

Let me share a few before my memory wipes off. It all started with this company that I'm still working. There was this girl who works at the tele ad rep. Seriously i bump into her almost everyday at the lift. It is so damn funny we hardly talk till one day, i came out with a question - you are from 10 floor right? She said yes. Then i smiled at her back.

Seriously my first conversation with people arent good because trust me you ask all my colleagues that know me - they always say er vivien? First time they meet me - their first impression was i really cold person, dont smile, fierce and someone that you dont want to know more but after they get to know me, im not your first impression. From the lift conversation, whenever i was at her floor, we just say Hi to each other. Then several lift bumping turn into conversation. She somehow different from my other colleagues. Then it was few months later, when i thought things work out fine - then i realized - she had to go - resigned - again slap right at my face knowing friendship begins is about to end. To shorten it, been more than 10 years - do we still keep in touch - nope. I gave her my contact but i know by now she already married with a kid - does she really remember who i was - sadly nope. It was just another chapter after that for me.

Those days at work, let say 8 years ago - i used to work alone. I have a work partner that we both cover each other work when one goes on leave. There were times when i get so frustrated because that time, i do almost everything from sales, support, to customer service and jobs related. Seriously I dont know how i survive then. There and then, it was still my currently boss who hired me. I told him my frustration that i need a helper seriously and its not possible for me to work alone plus side if my working partner (she has a different role) that i have to absorb if she on a holiday. Worst still i was stucked in center when she left out of sudden. My boss agreed that i can get a new helper, there is where i screenthru few resumes. I wonder who will be my potential working partner in crime.

Few months later, it was the usual morning, i came to work as usual, from the basement lift up to ground floor. A young girl walked in with a very smiley face. She was very cheerful face and she smiles at me as she step into the lift, pressing 13th Floor - she is someone new...i wonder. I didnt smile much - again first impression i gave her was "who this fierce looking person". Around 11am, my boss came to my cubicle and introduce someone, your work partner is here to report for duty. There is where she came closer to my cubicle and seriously its that young girl with that smiley face. You should see her look, i think she went like OMG seriously i have to report to this person? No way right, she so fierce.............. She was left sitting nearby my cubicle. I wasnt used at first because all this while i have been working alone and now suddenly someone to help me. Maybe its a good timing. We slowly got to know each other and trust me she was really came in the right timing. I brought her out several times for lunch and soon she became one of my lunch buddies. My lunch buddies those day was me, another person who is few years older than me and two aunties. Now with her added - it makes thing more fun. Then one day, we all shifted back to my old station, she was basically someone sitting next to me and we are help each other. I was assigned to be her mentor. I trained her well hopefully, teach and guide her - and best part we work closely together. It was about 2 years she work under me and i have no work issues. Whenever i asked her to do things, she does it. She is a very happy go lucky person. I only get to see her during office hours as most of the time after work, she goes back. Back then i think she had tons of friends and a bf then. That moment of the two years, seriously it was happiness whenever i go to work. I do look forward to go to work. When I go to work, you see that happy face, how stress you are - you still smile end of the day. Until one time, when my boss got swap with another lady boss. Things started to change.

When one of colleague left again out of sudden, the management suddenly asked her to take a role which she didnt want to. There is where i fear the mosst and that time i was away on a holiday at Singapore. Trust me i was really messed up when i reached SG - i saw her sms saying how sad she was to do what she dont want to do. I was seriously worried about her knowing she might just leave out of sudden. When i went back to work, i can see her was very upset and there is nothing much i can do. I just hope she taking the new job role as a new challenge and i guided her. Surprisingly she survived another 2 years doing this job that she dont like but having me to help her out. I go all out to help her in certain cases to rush back to office instead of her, to assist her while she away on a holiday. Basically i do all of this just for her. We enjoyed most our time together - going seminar and she was also my room mate. Seriously it was fun having her around. She cared about me a lot at work. She knows when I'm upset or angry, she was there to cheer me up - seriously it does happens.

Ending 2009, when there was a major management issues that my whole team was suppose to transfer to a new department. I was to go along with them but seriously thanks to my damn lady boss, she left me behind. For the whole Christmas that year, it was a hell year for me in my career. Years of contribution and having my boss to leave me behind. I always wanted to do online stuff and I was down with depression then. But also a moment of mix feeling considering i still got her to think off. If i move down, what about my friend here? She no longer in my team, i cant take her along. I'm not even a boss then. I broke down for the whole weekends feeling so miserable after knowing there is no direction in my career life. I was sort like certain it was time to leave this company if i dont get what i want. I dont want to start something new again, I'm tired and i know my direction where i want to be. After knowing that there is no direction, worst nightmare finally came to me. I actually messaged her about my disappointment to her if i stay on with the current department. She suddenly messaged me that time itself saying - she will also be resigning some time in Feb 2010. There is where i got another blow right at my face. The whole world went just dark for the moment. Seriously that time earlier 2010, if my brother didnt come back for a holiday, i think i would have been down with depression again. I dont know what to say?? Do i have to power to keep her. I love people to stay and work closely with me. I love someone that you love working together. But everything was cut short. The time is nearing and i have to say goodbye to her. It was also a time when i finally won my case and managed to shift down eventhough i made a lot of enemies with my top management and trust me - that day i went to my new department - it was like winning a lottery! This time around, also i have another colleague that im close with, she does all the execution of my work instruction. She was also a wonderful person that i chat in the office - through our chat messenger because we are both from different department but we work closely to get work done around. That time when this close colleague of mine left, she also left as well. Now thinking, i think she left is to make way so that i can move to her department and fill up the role.

Time goes by, when i went to my new department some time in 2010 - it was like saying to myself - yes i think i have to change my life again. I would have to adapt to work alone or with someone who just came in. I got my new working partner - Work is definitely different. Then we got new colleagues on board. That two new colleagues of mine as on current became my close friends. As usual one came along, my working partner is someone that is very good in PR. She gets all the attention and people love about her. New people, she the best candidate to introduce and where else me? I scare people off. It was my working partner that introduce my first colleague. Hi...Oh..you are so and so..... then i went silent......

Then another colleague came in 1 month later, also introduced by my colleague - Hi.... and i went silent...seriously vivien is not someone people want to get to know. The second colleague of mine that came in suddenly became so close with my working partner. They were like sisters! If i recall, my second colleague went lunch alone, and there it was my working colleague who joined her, make friends and they became so damn close. They do a lot of stuff together. Any assignments, they will always try to do it together. There is also one time, invitation by my second colleague for a concert at Genting. It was my working partner suggestion but i didnt go. That time i dont even have her contact number until i have to ask my working partner for her number. There is where i got her handphone number and I messaged her over my last minute emergency.

Both my working colleagues were so close and i dont know where i came in. I know her existence but i was'nt that close with her then. I soon make friends with my first colleague, and seriously she was a nice and great colleague. Probably our age gap and we got lot of things in common. Things change suddenly as my earlier entry is when my working partner organize - asking me - you want to go Cameran Highland. At first i was pretty doubt because of the last round we organize something, it didnt happen. It happens a couple of time to us as well. So it was a time when i said ok, let go for it. We plan for a 2 days 1 night trip to cameran.

I booked the hotel and what i actually look foward to cameran was to go with my working partner. Maybe then i was close to her and not the other two. On the day itself, something last minute my working partner couldnt make it suddenly. So left me and the other two colleagues. I was feeling a bit uneasy because I wasnt really that close with them at first. I fear going to holiday with people that I'm not close with. But trust me, from this holiday to Cameran Highland - it changes my life totally after that.

We met up in the morning at office. We had breakfast - conversation started there then. I was uneasy at first but i got relax a bit after that. We left office and my colleague drove. That journey up was long but it was fun. We get to know each other better. When we reached there, we did everything together. Find food, enjoy the food, chit chat, look see and trust me, i felt different. I wish i could have know them earlier. There is where i started to change. I love everything, i love going to work. Even the 2 days 1 night, we did so many things together. One of them never been before, one of them been before and while we were coming back, we chat, laugh and asking each other what we like about the holiday. I told them, i been to cameran before but trust me its the company - as in you two that what i enjoy the most.

From that day on, everything change. We were so close. We started to have breakfast together, yes ....then lunch buddies - we always have before but only we dont go into much conversation. We work together in many events. I dont mind volunteering helping them up and after the hard work, we always end up together. We got so close that we did more things together. We went for dinners, yeah at times when after work, since we are all singles, we go for dinner. Over dinners there is where we got to know each other better. We even went for a lot of movies together, after work - dinner then movies. We also go tea time together at 4pm. See how close we are and its what i look forward everyday when i go to work eventhough I'm so stressed at work but seeing them makes me happy. We also went for several holidays together. We went to Penang, Cherating and Singapore (that will be our last trip together). Not to sure when will be the next time when I ever meet one of them.

This two lovely girls became my close friends. Im not to sure how they treat me. Of course in nature, both of them are much closer to each other. I'm in the middle. I dont care but I love to be with them around. Im also every ready to help them if they need to. We dont have any work conflict. This lasted about 1 year ++ going to be 2 years and now i know one is finally leaving to pursue her dream. Seriously, i felt selfish a bit, i wish she dont go, i wish her visa doesnt approve but then again, its a chance of a lifetime. I should be happy for her. Its one of a lifetime dream job. I know she not really happy working since last year. You cant stop people from leaving especially your colleagues right. Especially those good one.

So now what is liaise for me is just memories. I know things are going to change completely for me. I still have that life i had but it will never be the same anymore. One missing - the joy and fun is totally different.

How i feel now? my heart consists of a few broken pieces. I felt uneasy that friday after dinner. Again another smack right at my face when she announced she resigning and she got her visa approved. Ok...... that sentence lingers my mind over and over again.

Now i just have to move forward, when will i ever see her again? Will she remember me or forget about me like some did. How i wish i rewind everything - i dont mind doing it again knowing that person once again. Of course now we depart as colleagues, and a new journey as friends - it has always been a friend in my mind rather than colleagues. I dont describe them as colleagues but true friends i meet everyday.

There is saying, people come, people go. You have other to fill up your space. I do have lots of friends but most of closed one has already migrated far away. I think 90% left the country for a reason. 10% remaining either stayed, married with commitment. The last few ones are these who eventually add up the rest. Normal friends are different from close ones. Some people im close, i share about my life with them. If they know me, they know who i am. I have usual social friends, the commonly know as Hi! and Bye or some they call you for a reason (that i have a lot).

Maybe by nature as monkey, monkey loves people, love to socialize but at times people they meet dont stay.

It will take a while to fill up my pieces. I'm that kind of person. In real im that kind of person. I keep a lot of problems to myself. I talk to myself a lot. I do share my inner problems to certain people but when i get to attach to them, i end up getting hurt.

Some times people think I'm so cool but to be frank im not. I'm a bit emotional when comes to friendship and i break down easily if i lose someone i love. That's me. Time heals........and at times i dont want to look forward what is ahead...do i ever meet new people that is going to fill up part of life or there is a saying, you could be lonely lost in your own world.

Uneasy Feeling Which I Hate The Most

I always have that uneasy feeling when someone leave...whether that person leave a job, migrating, passed away or leave for a reason.

Everyone has a reason to leave ....after leave school..... leave the country. I basically have a lot of friends - close ones all migrated and left a few...Do we still keep in touch, yes we have facebook, email but its never the same again. How you really sit down and chit chat...laugh together...... will be that kind of strange feeling.

Today my feeling is just like that again.......

It all started when i started work...then i get to know someone.... we get along well, then my happiness will be short lived........ then the person leave..... yes you still can keep in touch, trust me it never be the same again. Same goes with those i know single then attached then married - then with kids...it totally a different situation.

Then few years come by, i got to know another colleague, i was her mentor - she stayed at least 4 years....trust me... I'm happy to work with her. 2 years ago, she left - the peak period when i was fighting to get a transfer out of my career that went haywire. I was also in depression that period. Not only she left, but another close colleague left. I guess its pretty normal colleagues to leave but i hate that feeling. Dont ask me why, i cant even find answer it

Then lately ok right now - i had that feeling again. Yes I got to know another close colleague of mine leaving soon as well - i suspected the day will come, sooner or later - surprisingly she lasted another year working. I mean i should be happy for her that she gets to pursue her dream but then another end - maybe im selfish - how i wish she dont go.

Why am i so attached - i dont know..that kind of feeling sort like you look forward to go to work because you got people you are close with. In my working environment now, so far I'm only close to her and another colleague of mine. I wont describe them as colleagues, more like close friends - people that i can trust at work. Yes i have others but there is nothing more - just the hi and bye or just talk for work related. We went to holidays before, movies and many dinners together. It all started when she was hired to replace a friend of mine.

I wasn't close with her at first, to people I'm alway the cold person and fierce person if i dont smile at all. Basically she was close with my partner who I work closely with me. They were so close until late last year their friendship just went down the drain - its pretty bad. My friendship with her started when I went for my cameron highland trip, seriously people that you are not close with end someone that you least expected who the person will turn out to be - you realized you are comfortable with them that day on - There is where our friendship starts. Even when she was in trouble with work, I felt that i need to help her..... even if i have to do it or pay for it, i think i would. Its not only her, it just me, maybe I'm that kind of person that would go all out to help my friends if i know them. You would as well if they are in trouble. Trust me, it comes automatically and it feels great if that person is happy. Of course I'm not the best but somehow i think my life is about to totally change again. I dont deny i was happy last year - I'm not a high expectation person but now i feel something is missing - like a hole in my heart. I feel miserable.... like a slap on my face when she told me over the dinner last night.

I dont know what i feel but its just that feeling that i dont like it all.... like losing someone. What we did before its like coming to an end... yes we can still keep in touch but as said it will never be the same again. Everyday i look forward to work - go to work, breakfast with her with another close friend of mine. Its fun - thought im the boring one - dont talk much. I wish i was totally good in conversation but i fear i say something wrong or offend people.

We go out lunch together...we go out dinner together...we go movies together...probably we dont have any work conflict - seriously none - there is where you know these colleagues turn out to be people you can be close with compare to others.

It just happen so fast.... with her leaving..... then my 10 years - my first boss in this current company who hired me 10 years ago that i have been working also quit and migrating. Then my faithful neighbour - a teacher who i grow up knowing also left already with family. My another close friend who decided she has to do it also left 2 days ago - when she told me so sudden when her original plan was some time this year and now this one - seriously my mind just exploded.

Singapore trip in March 2012 will be our last trip together. Seriously i dont know when i would see her again. Would she ever forgets me?

Yes we all expected one day your loved ones will leave you. Friends can never be there for you forever - at times how wish i can rewind everything. Go back time and restart...... seriously

I want to stop time and go back...there are so many things i want to rewind but i know in reality i cant...but to move forward...maybe i dont want to move forward........maybe the fear i have knowing what is ahead.............

everything just crumbling......like a waterfall.........

if i have a reset button how i wish i can press and reset or come to worst, a button to erase my memory.... :(

Year Of The Dragon - 2012

Ok the last time i knew about dragon year is when its Millennium year where everyone get panic over the Y2K!

Now it has been another 12 years since then we usher the year of dragon again. This time is the water dragon - hope we dont too much water disaster as it can be really scary

Anyway this year the CNY is like a speeding bullet and its just a week away. Im not prepare nor keen in doing anything as compared to last few years. Maybe I'm lazy by nature :)

Even the deecoration around the malls are either recycle from Christmas or just put whatever they have to put. Anyway this entry want to highlight of the beautiful dragon display decoration by Pavillion that goes all out to call a team of expert. It was highlighed in The Star Paper - the people behind the dragon. Thumbs up to these people who make it possible and its really beautiful.

United Buddy Bears - The Art of Tolerence

Yes.......it was displayed in front of Pavillion for quite some time already. I think it will ends some time in February 2012 and they will shift to other countries.

Its called the art of tolerence where each country is given a bear and its solely up to them to design. Some are of it are beautiful and some of it really odd and fierce bear.

I think there are more than 100+++ bears displayed and personally like the one which as Albert Einstien message of

"PEACE CANNOT BE KEPT BY FORCE. IT CAN ONLY BE ACHIEVED BY UNDERSTANDING"

Tiramisu @ UNO

They claim to be one of the nicest or the best tiramisu in town. So i went to check it out. I love tiramisu as its kind of near of my black forest tastes - with a little bitterness in every bite.

So me and friends ordered one piece of their specialty of tiramisu.

This came out....all staring at it but i hope it worth the RM15 per round piece.

I started the first bite - and the tastes is very unique - nice im happy with it! Why it has such a taste because it was added with slight liquor i think or i might be wrong. Anyway the tastes is unique compared to other tiramisu that i tasted.

The cappucino from illy tastes not as nice as others. Maybe too much milk added

Champ's Bistro @ Centre Point

Now they claim they serve nice Penang food cum pub (eat and you can drink at the same time)

I decided to try their food on their menu - surprisingly there were large crowd, not to sure for eating or for drinking.

Anyway they serve Penang food and western food. I never try their penang food, one look its not really worth it to be a place to dine for Penang food - very pricey for a bowl of noodle that starts from RM15-30. They do have their western food - like fish & chip, pork chop and chicken chop. They should be ok with that but ......

Two meals were ordered and to our huge disappointed - it tastes horrible after eating halfway. Why because i ordered my pork chop - it came out as describe breaded like. Its crunchy but way too over breaded and fried - you hardly tastes the meat but only that layer of breaded crust and oil soak.

The fries was ok - coleslaw was ok but not the main meat dish. I still said to my friend, i think they got my order wrong - as my plate tastes more like chicken breast rather than pork. Anyway forget about it, too lazy to wait and let them get me my pork dish.

Maybe we ordered the wrong menu but western food cannot go that wrong - maybe its not their speciality, but the western food is a NO NO for me and i wont want to order that there. I think i can get some other places nicer for the price im paying.

Mochi Sweets @ The Gardens

I love mochi - stuffing by origin as in either red bean or lotus paste or with peanuts - so yummy but things got complicated where you get different flavour from fruits to chocolates.

There is one shop at The Gardens that sell huge Mochi - with different flavour from Purple Potatoes, Mango Yogurt, Red Bean Cream, Chocolate or Caramel Macchiato

I tried their Red Bean - nice but not the mango yogurt - tastes really weird. It is price from RM4-6 per piece

Bread Turns Out To Be A Cat

I wanted to go buy a bread - in the bread compartment this is what i found.

A sleeping greyish white sock cat. Sleeping and dreaming - maybe dreaming about me.

Anyway here are the sequences me provoking a sleeping cat.

Only left 3 loaf of bread, but my usual bread not there because this cat occupy the compartment

I believe there is one Kelana Square there too near Sanook but i guess this one is the original one - situated at Jalan Gasing - right at the main road next to the diver training.

The place is the usual bungalow turn into an eatery place.

They serve western, nyonya and Malay kind of dishes.

I tried their Nasi Ayam Masak Merah - nice but very small portion for the price that you are paying.

They also have dishes that you can order. They also have Nasi Lemak.

Their dessert is not something you should order - very expensive for a ABC/cendol - RM7 geez.....

Nope they dont serve boston food but similiar with Kim Gary or Wong Kok style.

They have many variety from food such as baked rice, western, local, snacks and their drinks comes in many form to choose from.

I tried their snack - such as Fish ball - to my liking. I also tried their seafood baked rice - er so so but at least its not just normal rice but it turns out to be fried rice with corn (not really to my liking as i hate having corn in my fried rice or noodle). Eat raw or corn in cup is fine with me :)
It is situated at 3 Two Square just right opposite of Toyota Service Centre but it is arent crowded. Night time, there are hardly any customer and i dont think they can last long. First the parking is so expensive unless you come after 7pm ++ then its flat rate of RM3. If not it will be like RM6 or more by hours. I dont think anyone wants to go places with high parking price. They should put flat rate from 6pm and not 7pm.

Garrett Popcorn

I feel in love with the macadamia nuts one when one of my colleague bought a huge tin fill with popcorn coated with caramel + macadamia nuts. One bite, you want more!

But of course you cannot eat too much, throat pain will be the end result due to the caramel. They do have other flavours but this is my favourite!

Macadamia is something i crave for. Its very crunchy and nutty at the same time. Only imported ones are the best. You can forget about those coming from China, tastes funny.

It comes all the way from Singapore. I know they are coming to KL but i dont know when. Then i heard it opens at KLCC and the queue is extremely long. One need to have a lot of patience to crave for the bite there! Then they said it is coming to 1Utama and bingo - yes i was kind of the first customer for the day. Ordered one bag of my usual and the cheese one. The cheese one er - if you really like cheese probably you might love this but you have to finish it within the day. No keeping it as it will tastes soggy and soft.

The stall is actually part of candylicious - just open at 1Utama - its a candy heaven inside.

How can i forget them! Their staff service are friendly and good. They actually serve food - which is Thai Food - dont expect right - it can be confusing but they are from Thailand origin.

Anyway, they serve the best coffee in town. So many varieties for you to spoil with. Really a drink from paradise.

Nice and thick coffee - some with rum and Kahlua. OMG its so yummy well blended smooth - huge ... thirst relief till the last drop.

Not many branches around - there is one at The Summit, USJ. There is another one in Jusco - Taman Maluri branch and i discovered today - i saw at Centrepoint - bingo! I shall head there more often now.

Retro Kitchen @ SS2

It used to be called something else about a year ago - so i decided to take my friends there but unfortunately i thought it was the same row as Bata Shop - look closely dont look like it until i was at the other 7-11 - Ambank that row. Ok this look more like it but then again I was looking forward to find the actual place but then it was something else. Look closer at the menu - it looks the same as the previous owner

Anyway we gave it a try and its called Retro Kitchen

I ordered their signature Chicken Chop but not to my satisfaction. Disappointed instead as it could be better.

The setting really like retro period of the 70-80's era with 80's song playing repeated. Even the decoration are so antique - im seeing those old days cast iron - yes that one where you can kill someone.

Their dessert that i choose was quite nice - must try and i love the taste. I'm not to sure what's the name for it - but it has jelly, ice shaving and lime :)

As said its full of liquor but manly Paulaner product which i dont like. Nobody beats my Hoegarden blend :)

Anyway we were invited by one of partners group at work for a lunch Christmas treat

They served pork - non halal

They pre-ordered a set with pork variety from sausages, pork knuckles, meatloaf, salad potatoes, english char siew, sauerkraut and cordon bleu.

Penang 2011 - Straits Quay

I really didnt they have a harbour there with beautiful private ships and boat.

I only got to know on Friday night when i was there to see actual mall after 1 year.

I wish i could rent one and go sailing....always dream about it. Out of no where, in the sea - can be scary but i love away from the land at times. Away from human definitely my reason

Woke up 930 am this time around. Our meal also got so screw up...breakfast is like 11am, lunch its like 3/4 pm and dinner its like 9pm.

Anyway we know what we want for breakfast - McD - simple and yet fast

After breakfast we head back to Robinson to pick up a few stuff.
Then we went back to our faithful 7-11 for sausage eating - we took a while there and bought a lot of bacon sausages.

We hang around the shopping places and stalls - they are lot to see too. We finally check-out from the hotel at 2pm and waited for our van to come at 4pm

We reached penang back about 8pm.

Hat Yai 2011 - Ideas Market @ Lee Gardens

There is a place called Ideas Market - my first assumption i thought it was something like a night market but then again its slightly different.

It is occupied by teenagers age around 15-30 with their own designs. Surprisingly they are all very unique. They will just sit on the floor and display all their products. More like crafts and art done by them or some entrepreneur.

I find it very unique as you get stuff that you never seen before.

We do have such markets - seen before in Amcorp mall flea market but some of them do take stocks elsewhere and sell it here - not much originality.

Hat Yai 2011 - Hat Yai Day 2

Today is a full day. We slept till 930am. I actually woke up 730am but laz around as the rest are still in dreamland.

We couldnt decide what to have for breakfast - so best easier way is to have McD breakfast.

We just walked to Lee Garden and the McD breakfast awaits us.

After breakfast we head to the Idea Market (next entry)

It is located at at Lee Garden Plaza first floor. After Lee Garden Plaza, we head for our Gelato - yes yogurt ice cream with many varieties.

After Lee Gardens, we head back to Market. This is where is massive super crowded. It has lots of clothing. I bought a beautiful blouse for my mother's birthday that cost me RM80.

There are many clothes, pyjamas, sleeve-less t-shirt - i regretted that i should have bought more as this is the one I have been looking for! ***sigh****

I love their bikes, so beautiful and different designs

You can good cheap stuff here with great bargaining power. I also got all my snack and dried stuff. There is another section that consists more than 50 stalls packed with shoes, bags and more stuff. You basically can spend ther whole day here! T-shirt are so beautiful and i got 1 garfield T for myself :)

After the market, we head back to the hotel for a while, dump our morning shopping loads and we took a tut tut to Tesco Lotus. It was really gloomy then and it started to drizzle a little. As we reached Tesco Lotus, it started to rain really very heavy. Lunch we had KFC there. Tastes the same only they had additional entry like rice with thai chicken.

After lunch, we shop till evening. As we left, it was still raining and we have to a suggested dining called Samila Seafood Restaurant. It is famous for their fried rice. Tom yam was disappointed as it was not as thick as i expected. The fried lala was only so so and they overcharge us the fish - RM50 (steam fish). Their mixed vege is just normal.

After dinner, we head back to our Hotel with more shopping bags. We came out and walk around our hotel area which you get more night market stalls that open till 11pm. I got one huge Garfield umbrella!

We head back to hotel around midnight. After our wash-up, we started to sort and finding ways to pre-pack our shopping loads. I bring 1 bag, till have to loan another bag for my shopping stuff.

Fun shopping - problem packing.

Hat Yai 2011 - Log Terrace Restaurant

This restaurant is recommendated by my tut tut.

Anyway here is my cute funny tut tut driver.

He mentioned that this place got lot to eat. He also said go fishes to see and "i heard it as wheel, some heard it as whale"... lots of water coming down, very nice view.

Ok, without hesitation, we just follow him where he wants to take us.

As we reached there, we were surprised by the design. Yes it is very beautiful. We ordered their seafood fried rice, otak otak, tom yam soup, fried vege and fried egg.

I find the food ok - reasonable pricing from 20-50 depending on the dishes.

I guess this where tut tut or tour group will take tourist too for a fine dining together.

Hat Yai 2011 - Floating Market

I love the floating market a lot

We should have spend more time here maybe 2 hours minimum.

The weather was so good and its one of lovely afternoon to night market.

Some said only opens till 7pm but i think it should be longer.

Anyway here is where you can get a lot of unique stuff from their snacks, clothes, souvenirs, craft and lots more.

The floating market - that time itself was crowded with people. If you like to try their local delicacy, you can have a row to choose from. Even their drink, comes with the clay of your special cartoon character. It is given to you free for only RM2.
