Apesar de estarem engavetadas, mofando em algum cérebro do nosso automobilismo paulista, essas são as três grandes corridas que agitavam a cidade de São Paulo todos os anos.

Numa evolução natural dos bem sucedidos 917K, a Porsche produziu em 1971 o 917/20 aproveitando a ótima aerodinâmica dos 917K e a cauda longa do 917LH, que era um verdadeiro foguete na reta Mulsanne, em Le Mans. 

O problema é que este novo carro não teve nada de brilhante: pelo fato de ser largo, o arrasto aerodinâmico era muito muito maior que o de seus antecessores e isso foi crucial quando

E, se estivesse vivo, completaria hoje 62 anos de idade. Gilles é um daqueles que, infelizmente, não pude ver correr. Mas agradeço imensamente à tecnologias de hoje que possibilitam isso, como o youtube, que tem várias imagens deste sensacional piloto.

Com a proibição de corridas na França, que era a principal organizadora desde o final do século 19, a prova da Gordon Bennett, no ano de 1904, acabou por ser a mais importante do ano na Europa. A Alemanha, que era a anfitriã da Taça naquela ocasião, fez um longo traçado nas estradas da floresta de Taunus que fica

Nos tempos áureos do automobilismo, assim como hoje, o grande teste para um novato era ver o quanto ele era bom em circuitos extremamente difícieis. Enquanto que 2011 encaminha-se para o final, é sempre bom fazer uma reflexão e agradecimentos à todos aqueles que passaram por aqui.

O blog, graças a Deus, foi muito bem este ano. Atingiu bons números, estive mais presente com posts interessantes (outros nem tanto), as visitas e comentários atingiram ótimas marcas. Mas confesso que os números é o de menos. O que mais me deixa feliz é a

Antes que os carros do FIA GT1 desembarcassem em Interlagos para disputar suas duas corridas em novembro de 2010, a BPR, categoria que deu origem ao FIA GT em 1997 (atual FIA GT1), fez duas corridas: uma em Curitiba (8/12/1996) e depois em Brasília (15/12/1996).
