What is the real tax plan for Obama?

Barack Obama has now shifted again.  He’s now calling those who don’t want a tax increase “selfish”. He says that he wants to take from those who have more so that the less fortunate can have more money in their pocket at the end of the month. So we give every sub par earner a hand out and this somehow enables them buy a car? Unfortunately, this isn’t remotely based in reality. Handouts do not promote hard work, nor do they jump start progress. History does not show that handouts get spent on things to better the poor. If that were the case, they likely wouldn’t be poor in the first place in most instances.

Barack Obama is living proof that anyone can succeed. He comes from a modest family. The federal government didn’t give him handouts. He worked hard all his life to become wealthy. Shouldn’t we all have the same opportunity that Senator Obama had?

Vote Obama, I need the money.

I laughed.

Once in the restaurant my server had on a Obama 08 tie, again I laughed as he had given away his political preference–just imagine the coincidence. When the bill came, I decided not to tip the server and explained to him that I was exploring the Obama redistribution of wealth concept. He stood there in disbelief while I told him that I was going to redistribute his tip to someone who I deemed more in need–the homeless guy outside. The server angrily stormed from my sight.

I went outside, gave the homeless guy $10, and told him to thank the server inside, as I’ve decided he could use the money more. The homeless guy was grateful.
At the end of my rather unscientific redistribution experiment, I realized the homeless guy was grateful for the money he did not earn, but the waiter was pretty angry that I gave away the money he did earn even though the actual recipient deserved money more. I guess redistribution of wealth is an easier thing to swallow in concept than in practical application.

Senator Obama claims to have a plan to cut taxes for 95% of Americans. He must not have done too well in math class. Two-thirds of the American population doesn’t pay taxes anyway. From where are their “rebate” checks coming?

Tonight Barack Obama will have a 30 minute infomercial on most of the major network tv stations, and some cable stations. CBS, NBC, Fox, MSNBC, BET, TVOne, and Univision are all carrying Barack’s broadcast speech tonight. This 14 million dollar prime time commercial will be Obama’s “closing arguments” about how he will help out economically disadvantaged citizens. The democratic Senator from Illinois will use this 30 minute video ad to talk to every day Americans and how he will assist them in their struggles.

Due in part to the large amount of donated money spent on this prime time advertisement, a great deal of criticism from both sides of the political spectrum has been flowing. Those defending the Obama infomercial

maintain that it is merely capitalism, just as a corporation would air commercials advertising their products during the Superbowl.

It’s no secret that I personally supported John McCain for President. I agreed with him on core issues and he and I are in the same party. I truly believe he’s an extraordinary, honorable American hero and I campaigned hard for him. But Americans elected Barack Obama, and it’s time to put the election behind us and the country in front of us. Barack Obama wasn’t my choice, but come January 20th, he will be my President. I will pray for him and for his family. I want him to be successful in leading our country. I will not seek to see all of his faults and none of his qualities. Some of President Bush’s harsh critics went beyond loyal opposition and engaged in angry, vile, and mean-spirited hate. Those of us who found that kind of attitude and behavior despicable can hardly engage in similar conduct toward a President Obama. We can show our true patriotism conducting ourselves in a way that we wanted people to have treated President Bush. In my lifetime, I saw the revolting and repulsive indignities of racism manifested in people of color being subject to separate schools, waiting rooms, seating areas, theatres, and water fountains. It’s an embarrassing part of our nation’s history. We can’t ignore it. The evil, selfish, yes sinful treatment of other Americans because of color can never be erased. But we can all celebrate that on this Election Day a man was elected to live in the White House who 50 years ago would not been able to even serve coffee there. It means that when mothers put their children to bed, they’re going to be able tell them that there are no limits to their opportunities in America and young black children will be able to know that their pathway to the top is not necessarily limited to sports or entertainment. But it might be that through education, hard work and public service, they’ll find their way to the top. Surely even the most partisan Republican can appreciate that. If Barack Obama pushes tax increases or indifference to the sanctity of life or same-sex marriages, ok I’ll strongly and loudly disagree. But I will still show him the respect that he has earned, having been elected President of the United States. Yes, my President.

If I were elected president, I would hate to never know whether or not I had earned it. It would eat me up inside for four to eight years, and for the rest of my life, knowing that so many people voted for me based on the color of my skin or on the eloquence of my speeches, and not because they felt I was the best person for the job.

We’ve all heard the reports of left wing radical political machines operating on a massive scale unlike anything we’ve experienced before in the history of our country. Hundreds of millions of dollars were raised. Almost every major media outlet in the country was undeniably biased. Yet, somehow President Elect Barack Obama still just barely won the popular vote.

Barack Obama ran on two basic principles:

• Instilling Hope for Change in people.
• Running against President Bush.

Most of his followers have no clue what he stands for. If people voted for him because they agreed he would make the best president based on what he would specifically do in office and on his views on the issues, we could then say that we showed why America is the greatest nation in the world. Unfortunately, this isn’t the case.

Most of Obama’s campaign rhetoric was running against the incumbent, who wasn’t even up for re-election.  For over 20 years, McCain has served this country in the senate, and has been ridiculed by most members of the republican party for being too leftist, and for not helping tow the party line.  In the last nine months, McCain’s votes have coincided with the current president’s policies, leading to Obama accusing him of being the same as Bush.  He charged that a vote for McCain was a vote for four more years of the same.  Not only is this not even remotely resembling anything accurate in reality, since McCain is nothing like President Bush, this assertion is completely ignorant of the involvement that the US Congress, not President Bush, had in our current state.

As an American, I hope Senator Obama turns out to be a great president.  I hope that our congress, saturated with democrats, is able to do what is best for America.  For 8 years, we’ve been blessed with a patriotic American in the office of President who ignored public opinion, and did what he felt in his heart was in the best interest of our country.  Senator Obama campaigned that he would consult with the American population in making his decisions.  I know this sounds great, but a populist government is not exactly conducive to having an effective government.  The day a president makes decisions based on public opinion is the day he no longer needs to be president.

The democrats now carry a major burden.  The are now the ruling party of the legislative and executive branches of our government.  Let us hope that they will act on this responsibility wisely, and in the best interest of our country.  Let us have faith the ruling democrats will remember their job is not to decide what to take from us, or even what to give to us.  They need to know they have been elected to serve us.

I am neither a Democrat nor a Republican. I am a Conservative which to me means a passionate belief in “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”. It is not “a blind adherence to the past or a stubborn opposition to progress” as liberal college political science professors might define it.

I believe in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights as written by the founding fathers. I believe these documents provide the best system of law and government possible. I believe in free speech, freedom of religion, and the right to keep and bear arms. I believe in personal liberty and individual responsibility. I believe in limited government. I believe that taxes should be used for providing for the common defense and providing essential services, but never for redistributing the wealth. Furthermore, I believe each individual should use their talents and abilities to be the best he or she can be and has a personal right to use and profit from his or her hard work. I believe

that the United States is the greatest nation in the history of this world and that a strong military is absolutely essential to our national defense, to our continued freedom and a quality that of life that is superior to that of any other country in the world. John McCain most closely shares my world view and I proudly endorse him as the next President of the United States.

In my opinion, John McCain is the clear and by far the best choice available in what is the most important election of my lifetime. The differences between the two candidates are great. John McCain is an American hero, a man that has served his country for over fifty years during which time he has lived the philosophy “Country First”. His lifetime of service to our country through his actions and deeds is well documented. He was a war hero and spent five years in a prisoner of war camp. When offered an early release, he refused and honored a pact with other prisoners that the prisoner there the longest may leave first.

I have not always agreed with John McCain, but I have always respected him for doing what he believed to be best for the country. During John McCain’s long and honorable Senate career, he has always stuck by his principles, even if it meant taking a position at odds with his party or with public opinion. The McCain-Kennedy Amnesty bill and the McCain-Finegold-Kennedy-Lieberman bill are examples where McCain crossed the aisle and stood by his conviction. There are many other examples. The best known one is when things were not going well in Iraq, the majority of public opinion no longer supported the war, and the media and most Democrats said the war was hopelessly lost, John McCain called for a surge in forces that ultimately changed the direction of the war. John McCain has a wealth of national defense and military experience. John McCain believes in a free market economy with minimal government involvement. John McCain opposes earmarks and pork barrel projects. Examine his record and you will see $0.00. John McCain believes in extending the Bush tax cuts when they expire in 2009. He opposes increasing capital gains taxes,

You made me focus on why I will vote on John McCain. I had previously focused on why I was not voting for Barak Obama. That must also be addressed because while a great deal is know about John McCain, very little is know about Barak Obama. What is known is that Barak Obama has demonstrated a world view that is extremely radical and not shared by main stream America. He has documented associations with criminals, terrorists, communists and marxists. In each documented instance, he denied or downplayed the association until video or other proof proved otherwise. At first, he said “I could no longer disown Jeremiah Wright than I could my own uncle”. When video of Rev. Wright’s hateful, racist and anti-American rants surfaced, Obama claimed he never said those things when he was in church. He finally cut ties with Rev. Wright and left the church. Obama’s website denied any association with ACORN, but that was pulled off the website once his associations with ACORN and its subsidiary groups was proven. Similarly his ties with William Aires, Tony Rezko, Rev. Wright, Rev. James Meeks, Rashid Khalidi, and Father Pfleger are documented by videos and other sources.

He was ranked the most liberal person in the Senate by the National Journal’s 27^th annual vote ratings and running mate Joe Biden was ranked the third most liberal senator. Barak Obama has 150 days service in the U S Senate before declaring and starting his run for the Presidency. He is the least experienced candidate in recent history. Obama believes in “sharing the wealth” and by his own admission would use our tax system to accomplish this. He will do or say anything to get elected.

He voted 94 times either for tax increases or against tax cuts. Now he says he intends to cut taxes for 95% of all Americans. When it was pointed out that 40% of Americans did not pay income taxes, he claimed that they paid payroll taxes. In other words, because they pay into social security retirement fund he will give them an income tax refund check. That is using the tax system to redistribute the wealth. Of course, he will not cut taxes for 95% of Americans.

He will increase taxes for big corporations such as the “evil oil companies”. One problem is when a business is taxed, it increases the cost of producing the product. Therefore, either the price must be increased or the workforce must be reduced. This is simple economics. Barak Obama has already said he will double the capital gains tax and reinstate the inheritance tax. His approach will punish success and hard work. If Obama becomes President and congress increases in democrat representatives, they will quite possibly have a “super majority”. This means there will be no checks and balances and no way to stop congress from cutting the military spending by 25% as Barney Frank has promised to do.

If the polls are right, Barak Obama, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi will soon have unchecked control of this country. The most unfortunate aspect of this, is that they do not represent the sentiments of the vast majority of Americans. The liberal news media has severely distorted the facts surrounding this election. An October 29, 2008 study by the Pew Research Center’s Project for excellence in Journalism determined the following:

All media: 57% of McCain Stories negative, 29% of Obama stories were negative.
Newspaper: 69% of McCain stories negative, 28% of Obama stories negative

NBC News: 54% of McCain stories negative, 21% of Obama stories negative
MSNBC: 73% of McCain stories negative, 14% of Obama stories negative

FOX News: 40% of McCain stories negative, 40% of Obama stories negative
CNN News: 61% of McCain stories negative, 39% of Obama stories negative

The tragedy is that if Obama is elected, by the time the American public realize the mistake they have made, and they will, it will be too late. Two or three supreme court appointments will be made by the next President as well as the appointment of countless federal court judges. Programs such as universal health care will be nearly impossible to repeal once they are implemented. 10 – His Liberal Record

He is the most liberal senator in the U.S Senate as determined by a non-partisan study.  By the way, Joe Biden was number 3.

9 – His Choice of a Running Mate

That would be “Joe the Gaffe machine”.  Listen at him speak more than five minutes and you will know what I mean.  How about when he said:

“I mean, you got the first mainstream African American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy.”

or when he said

“When the stock market crashed, Franklin D. Roosevelt got on the television and didn’t just talk about, you know, the princes of greed.  He said, ‘Look here’s what happened’”

Unfortunately Roosevelt was not President and there was no TV in 1929. Yet the media gives him a pass and trashes Sara Palin.

8 – Checks and Balances

With a Democrat President and Democrats controlling both houses, they would have a super majority led by ultra liberals with a radical left wing agenda.

7- Divisive

He claims he will unite the country.  Then he plays the race card. (Ask Bill Clinton)  No one talks about race but he brings it up in every speech.  He doesn’t “look like those Presidents on the dollar bills”.

6 – Flip Flops (Lies)

He opposed FISA then voted for it, he would remove troops from Iraq immediately, then responsibly, he said Israel must never be divided, then changed his mind the next day, he agreed to public financing and then changed his mind, Iraq is a small country then a major threat.  There are so many more examples.

5 – Share the Wealth

Obama’s world view is very different than mainstream America.  His comment to Joe the Plumber was not a gaffe.  He has often spoke of sharing the wealth and redistribution.  Socialism anyone?

4 – References

So little is known about his early days.  His college records, his grades, someone that has known him for years that is not a radical.  Who would that be?
