If someone wishes to love himself he must not allow himself to be corrupted by indulging his sinful nature. If he wishes to resist the promptings of his sinful nature he must enlarge the whole horizon of his love to contemplate the loving gentleness of the humanity of the Lord. Further, if he wishes to savour the joy of brotherly love with greater perfection and delight, he must extend even to his enemies the embrace of true love.

But if he wishes to prevent this fire of divine love from growing cold because of injuries received, let him keep the eyes of his soul always fixed on the serene patience of his beloved Lord and Saviour.

I have noticed something very disturbing lately. I am spending way to much money.

Ten dollars here, few dollars there and boom the monthly total is huge!

I really have to put myself on cash only system. I carry my debit card anywhere and I use it all the time. I trick myself into thinking that I am using cash by carrying it in my pocket but I always pay with debit.

This is going to be hard, I have to force myself to bring lunches to work. It really ads up.

I wish I was a better speaker

I don't care for Star Wars, I would watch it but it is quite low on my "COOL" scale.

After having two girls I want to have a son, and I hope he has green eyes.

I hate shaving. I always cut my neck.

I wish I was slightly fatter. I'm working on it by eating fatty foods.

I can't sing. I wish I could. I still do sing however, which drives Julia mad.

I don't like to swim. If men were meant to swim God would give us gills.

I love to read.

I have a scar on my forehead and green eyes. I am not Harry Potter.

I don't like scary movies.

I drink more coffee than water.

I am a morning person.

I love cartoons

Battlestar Galactica (Season 4 Episode 11)

Sometimes I live in the country

Its been almost a week since the first episode in the second part of season 4 aired so I had some time to think about it.

Overall I loved the episode. It was one of the darkest episodes of BSG ever. The heavy mood of lost hope was brilliantly filmed.

The plot did not progress much but the bits of information we got were really shocking, yet expected (13th Colony being Cylon).

The biggest revelation of the night happened in the very last scene, where we found out that Elen is the 12th cylon (or the fifth of final five). At first I was unimpressed. Why her!? I don't even like her character. She was annoying in season 1 and I didn't care for her much in later episodes.

After few days of reflecting on it however I am starting to feel that she does fit. I don't know where the story will go but I predict that Cavil knows Elen is a cylon and that is partially why he doesn't want the others to know anything about the 5. I could of course be horribly wrong.

Can't wait for next episode.

Lost (Season 5 Episode 1)

I must say that I am a bit unimpressed with the Lost's time traveling island story. It seems that every time a show starts to play with time travel it ends up being a mess.

I hope I am wrong but I already see logic holes in the story which bothers me.

Don't get me wrong over all the premiere episode was good. Hugo was funny as always and my wife liked Sawyer running around the jungle with his shirt off *raised eyebrow*. It looks like the producers of the show finally know where the story is going which means that hopefully they will start answering some questions.

Galactica

If you are wondering why there has been very little activity on this blog lately, the answer is simple. Battlestar Galactica.

The new episodes start this Friday and I have been re-watching the series in order to prepare myself for the new things!

Few things come to mind when I look back at my re-watching experience.

This is the best show ever. I forgot that a bit since it's been so long since I watched it last.
There is tons of things that I missed on my first watching, that the second time around made more clear.
I may be addicted to all things Galactica.
I think this is the most "religion" themed show on TV right now.

End of the year

Another year has come to the end.

This year I have a lot of things to be thankful for. First God has blessed our little family with another child. Veronika was born in April and has been my joy ever since. I can’t help but smile every time I look at her.

Natasha is now two years old and becoming quite a lady. She speaks quite well already and is super fun to be around. There is never a dull moment when she is around.

I also started a new job this year. It’s better pay so it helps!

Over all this has been a good year. I hope the next one will be a good one too.

If you are following Canadian politics, you know that the left is trying to take over the power. They are also trying to put a guy who was voted down by majority of Canadians and who has no confidence in his own party as the next prime minister.

All of this is done with the help of a party whose sole purpose is to break down the country.

With this pathetic move the Liberals are showing their true colours. They are power hungry and are willing to go to bed with the devil to get it.

Lately the conservatives haven't behaved to well either. Harper is making serious mistakes almost daily. I'm quite disappointed with them all. What did I expect, they are politicians after all.

So very true. Add to this two little girls and working late and there is hardly any time for anything. Surprisingly I still manage to find time to watch TV shows. Hmmm I think I have my priorities messed up.

Catholics for Obama - hopelessly stupid or just evil

The question is, was it over-stepping of me to suggest that a Catholic voting for Obama was a sin? Okay, well, with St. Thomas, I will grant you that hopelessly stupid Catholics could possibly be exempted from the pain of sin here. Also, a case could be made that Catholics who are invincibly ignorant (that is really, really clueless through no choice of their own and completely unaware of the gifts available to them to inform their consciences through the compassionate light of the Holy Spirit as it speaks through the teaching authority of the Church) could also escape responsibility in this matter. So, if you, Catholic for Obama are either of these, hopelessly stupid or invincibly ignorant, you would possibly not be flirting with grievously sinful behavior by voting for Obama, and I would feel compelled to apologize to you for suggesting it. Of course, you would then probably also be too stupid or ignorant to understand my apology, but hey, that would be a matter, say, above my pay grade to correct.
