A completely free solution would be to buy an ATA (hardware router) and then get a free US DID from ipkall.com and then configure your ATA. Let me know if you need some guidance with that.

Another approach that is much easier, but will require you to use your computer is Bueno. It is very straightforward and you can read on to find out how to receive unlimited free incoming calls using Bueno.

Call Manager 6 BAT process

Hi all,

Extremely urgent issue before we roll out phones to busy business department tomo!

When using the BAT process we selected dummy Mac address as part of the process.

All phones updated fine but now we are unable to change the prefix from BAT to SEP. This means the phones wont register.

We have tried exporting details and uploading them using update user but this does not work. When searching by directory number or description it nevers finds any phones to update. This is using the custom part.

Any way of doing this? Or alternatively any idea why the update does not work which would also resolve the issue.

Very urgent so any help would be most appreciated.

Hi all,
Here is the scenario. I have an account with Vonage and another with GalaxyVoice. My ISP blocks Voip so I use a VPN service to connect my routers to. My ATAs are then connected to the router. I have two types of VPN connections, one a SSl based VPN and the other a L2TP based VPN. The Vonage adapter works well when connected through either type of VPN. My GalaxyVoice adapter works well when I connect through the L2TP VPN, but I don't have audio in either direction on inbound calls, when connected through the SSL based VPN. My tests have detemined that the problem with some incompatibility for the GalaxyVoice ATA when connected through the SSL VPN, since the Vonage ATA works well through the same SSL VPN. The vonage adapter is a PAP2 and GalaxyVoice adapter is PAP2T-NA. Any ideas what would ne causing this? In other words, why would it work with a L2TP tunnel and only work one way when using the SSL tunnel?

There's enough possible for this,

But you should ask yorself will one provider be enough for all destinations you will call ?
Does some of you destinations have also ADSL/Internet, or VoIP ?
Do you want to make use of cheap rates, if you are underway/traveling ?

If your contacts are already on a VoIP network but different one's Sipbroker is also an option.
Out of experience, i can tell you, use a DECT IP (Siemens) phone set, easy to configure,
easy to expand, wireless for in the house , no need for cables.
