2003 - Pete Townshend was forced to issue a statement saying he was not a pedophile after a police investigation named him as part of an inquiry. He said he did study the subject for a campaign against it.
2003 - Drummer Alan Whyte left Oasis after being diagnosed with tendonitis.
2004 - While taping a segment for his show Surviving Nugent: The Ten Commandments (VH1), Ted Nugent injures himself with a chainsaw, requiring 40 stitches.

1969 - Dottie West's home was destroyed by fire.
1970 - Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young made their U.K. debut at London's Royal Albert Hall.
1971 - Neil Young performed for the first time in his homeland of Canada in six years.
1975 - While waiting for tickets to a February Led Zeppelin show at the Boston Gardens, a thousand fans started to riot doing $30,000 in damages. The mayor of Boston canceled the concert.
1977 - EMI released the Sex Pistols after only three months on the label, giving them $68,000.
1987 - Eric Clapton played the first of his annual residencies at London's Royal Albert Hall.
1987 - Elton John canceled all of his appearances for the year after having throat surgery.
