Many consumers have turned their back on the high street and confronted their laptop screen instead to find the latest fashion deals. Reasons for such a turnaround include the busy lives of shoppers and the lack of time we now have to hit the pavement, the ease and speed of buying online and the pure fact that, well, it’s always nice to receive a package in the post!

The new Blogger interface can be quite a challenge to navigate, especially if you’ve come to love the old interface and have troubles letting go and upgrading to the new one. I am one of those people who can’t get over the old Blogger look, and when I was asked how to add authors or admin to a Blogger blog, I didn’t know what to say. So I thought I’d make this quick tutorial so others can benefit from what I learned today as well. Here’s what you need to do:

1. Click on Settings for the blog that you want to add an author/admin into. It’s located on the drop down with the gray paper icon beside the orange pencil icon.
   
2. Under Permissions, click + Add authors.
   
3. Type the email address of the person you want to add. They will be sent a notification email that you have invited them to write on your blog.
   

If you just want them to contribute (write) on your blog, then stop at Step 3. Otherwise, wait for the person you’ve invited to confirm the invitation and look for their name and email under the Blog Authors list. You can select for that person to become an Admin of your blog. This means that you’re giving him/her the same control that you have on your blog, including changing/editing your blog design.

To revoke their access to your blog, simply click the X icon.

The default layout of the post teasers/excerpts on the Thesis theme for WordPress is two per row. Sometimes, it does not work for the look that you’re going after. This bit of code will make the teasers/excerpts align one per row, instead of two across:

Horse riding can be an expensive sport but an entirely rewarding endeavour if you get into it through interesting channels. The best thing to do is book yourself a couple of taster lessons especially if you’re a straight up beginner, this will ease you into the sport an help you make up your mind about how you really feel. Too many people think that horse riding is an easily accessible hobby that doesn’t take much physical effort, this is not the case! You will realise this the day after your first lesson!

Within your first couple of lessons it is advisable not to buy anything! Many horse riding outfits etc. can be very costly and you need to make sure the past time is for you before you spend money on things you might not use again. All beginner classes should have all the kit you need such as helmets, these are the most important part of any equestrian outfit as safety should always be the first issue!

Once you are in the swing of it and have a couple of lessons under your belt you can gauge your own sense of what is comfortable, remember to where stretchy trousers or leggings. Always wear a shoe with a heel, not a stiletto of course but a small thick heal to prevent your foot sliding through the stirrup.

Your local stable might have a local tack store but they can be fairly pricey, if you have decided horse riding is definitely a hobby you want to pursue, why not check online stores, horse equipment from Equestrian Clearance for example are top notch quality but are normally a little cheaper than local stores.

I have just emerged from one of the most grueling weeks of my entire WAHM career, and I seriously needed a break. We are already scheduled to take a two-week vacation on May, but I can’t wait for that anymore, so what did we do? We had washi tape fun! Wait, washi what?

Washi tapes are essentially sticky tapes with a charming twist. These cute paper tape creations are originally from Japan, and last year, they started taking the traditional scrapbooking and stationery world by storm. I’ve been meaning to buy them to make weird projects with my kid (Svet likes any kind of sticky stuff a lot), but I haven’t gotten around to looking for sellers in the Philippines. I didn’t think there were any, until I was contacted by Hey Kessy.
