Over the years, I have taken many pictures, much more than I can possibly count. Despite the number of images captured , certain ones climb to the top of the ladder, thus becoming major focal points of my career by defining my photographic style and approach.

One of my all time favorite images is the one pictured above. It’s of a bride and her father getting ready to walk down the asile at the Riverside Church in New York City. If you look at the picture long enough, you can imagine the organ resounding behind closed massive oak doors while the bridesmaids finish their long walk up to the alter. Our bride waits for the music to change, a cue that the doors will open, presenting her to the entire congregation and most importantly, to her groom. There is joy in her eyes, her heart pounds, while a giddy and beaming Dad laughs with a nearby usher.

Wedding pictures tell stories. These types of images are never created, but are actual found moments, captured with the subtle click of a camera. The power of wedding photography is that it can bring you back time and time again, to one of life’s treasured moments.
