What makes it excruciating for me is my habit to really read the comments and feedback regarding the torrents to confirm if they are the exact files I am looking for, and also to ensure if they are virus-free---and I do that hopping from one site to another. Time is gold, you know, and we cannot afford to throw gold away.

Fortunately though, we now have the convenience of search engines specifically made for torrents, one of which I find definitely saves my precious time is Torrents Search Engine. Yes, there are countless other torrent search engines at our dispense, but sadly, many of them feature so-called "dead" torrents, those with no seeders, and even leechers, thus only prolonging our search time. However, Torrents Search Engine is not among that bunch as it gives search results consisting ONLY LIVE AND ACTIVE TORRENTS for the files I'm looking for. Needless to say, it does make my search way more convenient and not excruciating anyhow anymore! :)

Most Needed Help for the Most Hated Subject

Back in my teenage years, I frequently questioned the necessity of Algebra and why some of my teachers always insisted for us to learn it as if our lives depended on it. I'm not saying I didn't do good on it, because in fact, I did well, i.e. with the personal help of my teachers---you see, I always tried to muster courage to ask them whenever I needed something clarified. The problem though was, I never really knew Algebra's utter importance. That is, not until College when I realized, Algebraic know-how is essential to a lot of the subjects I had to take. Thank God, I've had teachers who were approachable enough and had enough free time to be asked help from.

Sadly, that's not always true, especially now that classroom populations have grown, and that teachers are not always that approachable and that they always have too many to handle---take it from me, I've been a teacher for 2 years already. That brings me to the reality that tutors are now a must in today's generation (not to mention the fact that today's youth have shorter attention span than ever before, and the fact that Algebra has the reputation for being one of the most hated subjects around). HOWEVER, let us face the fact that it's hard to find tutors nowadays, let alone GOOD tutors---let alone EFFECTIVE tutors.

Recently though, I am glad to have found out TutorVista.com, which has an ONLINE tutorial system for Algebra which I find reassuring as a teacher myself---talk about intensive Algebra help (it always pays to have the basics down pat) as well as advanced and equally intensive Algebra 2 help. Both features a vast array of electronic learning materials like animated demonstrations of how a certain formula works, questions banks as well problem solving simulations, that is, aside from the regular homework assistance and aids in preparing for exams. The best thing about it is they do it around-the-clock, 24/7.

Parents, students, and my fellow teachers, to give you a glimpse just how much they could help, I want you to check out the following links:

Math answers
Math problems
Algebra word problems
Math word problems

If you've head on over to those links, you might have realized what makes TutorVista the leading online tutorial service today, it's the dedication for effective tutorials, and have I mentioned they offer an unlimited monthly package covering all subjects at merely $99.99? Well, in my honest opinion, that's definitely worth it friends. I really don't have to force you, let them prove their efficiency to you themselves---you can actually try them out for FREE first as they have a FREE DEMO available too.

A Silver Lining | We Shot The Moon

Genre: Indie/Piano rock/Alternative rock

It just can't get any better when a seemingly lazy Tuesday surprises you with a 6-track treat from 4-piece indie outfit We Shot The Moon. It just seems like anybody with a mouth and some air to match can do it. However, with someone as impassioned as this Aussie spitting out beats on some lazy UK street (where apparently he's a stranger), I just can't help but bop along.

Meet Dub Fx, psychedelic trip-hop extraordinaire. Well, one of those samplers—the Fuel MP3 Sampler by no less than Christian heavyweight Tooth & Nail Records—just got updated! Now packing an even stronger punch than ever before with the latest from frontliners The Chariot, August Burns Red, Underoath, Emery, As Cities Burn, and mewithoutYou, this certainly is THE must-grab sampler for the season! And man, did I mention there is a special UNRELEASED track from Oh, Sleeper tucked inbetween the sheets? By special I mean it's a song from their most anticipated up and coming sophomore effort. By unreleased I mean it's NOT EVEN ON MYSPACE YET! So if you're a huge fan of purposeful metalcore then you must be out of your noggin to pass on this one!

Grab the freebie!

Tooth & Nail official site

A Rather Odd Tribute to the Late King of Pop

No freebies for now. Or so I thought.

If ever you have the same opinion for that oh-so-gloried musical of the yesteryears, better think again--at least after seeing this amusing video, and hearing its amazing accompanying track by no less than Pogo a.k.a. Faggotron in the land of Youtube. This guy has a talent I've not seen among electronic artists in years: to make something so soothing and so refreshing from something so old and so boring, and I must add, in a way that doesn't sound cheesy at all. No, it's not a remix. No, it's not a remake. It's the delicate art of sampling Pogo seems to have mastered in his short time as a young weaver of tunes.

With this masterpiece in particular, he took sound clips from the mentioned classic, put in some ambient drum beats, liven it up with some fluid bass runs and dreamy synth lines, and *walah*, you get a rare gem of a song. Coupled with a sleekly edited video, I know you'll find it even more irresistible as I did. Just watch. Chill out. Enjoy.

If you liked what you just heard, here's a bonus you might just love--grab it for free here.

Grab the freebie!

Pogo at Last.fm

Keep No Score | Sleeping at Last

Genre: Indie/Alternative rock/Piano rock

I would have to say I love their previous releases better, but whatever Sleeping at Last did on Capture and Ghosts that literally captured the attention of rock icon Billy Corgan* surely has not dissipated as ghosts in their latest endeavor, Keep No Score. The band is currently in the studio, and to keep fans aflame as well as to ignite new ones, they've done what seems to be the wisest thing to do: offer this album for free. That is, if you choose to tell 5 of your friends about it through the widget below. However, you may also opt to pay whatever you want to show some love and support for this talented trio.

Lush instrumentation, ambient atmospherics, soaring vocals, intelligent imagery, a sound and a message distinctively their own--these are few of the many things that got this band on endless repeat on my iPod some years ago. Add to that list the fact that it's free, and they've had me doing it again. I urge you to do so as well.

* - frontman for alt-rock vets The Smashing Pumpkins and Zwan

Going Cap'n Planet with Your Web Hunt

I recently came across an article that explains how doing your searches in Google can emit 3.5 grams of carbon dioxide per query (the same probably goes for Yahoo too, since they use a similar interface). Albeit still a factoid denied by the company itself, it's quite alarming as that's approximately the same amount of energy consumed by an 11-watt light bulb in a measly hour. Also, doing it twice is enough to boil a kettle of water, so they say.

However, I must clarify I'm not here to make a fuss out of it. If like me though, you want your googling free of any guilt, or you simply want to be more certain you're not heating up this already hot planet of ours in any way, there is a good number of search engine alternatives you can resort to, two of which I highly recommend.

The first would be Blackle, the search engine that utilizes an all-black background so as to lessen the use of light on your screens. To date, Blackle has apparently saved 1,262,522.652 watt-hours already. A blogpost dated January 2007 even proposed the theory that with Blackle, we can save 750 megawatt hours in merely a year.

The other alternative which is easier to the eyes yet equally energy efficient is Znout, cleverly named as such because it promises zero negative out every time you hit that search button. Unlike the former though, this search engine does the Captain Planet without sacrificing readability--instead, it saves energy through the purchase of renewable energy certificates. Doing so, it claims to have saved 4,307,432 watt-hours so far.

Mind you, both are powered by Google Search thus ensuring you of search results as efficient as we're all used to. Also, just like Google, both have localized versions for whatever country you come from. Along with their other facets mentioned above, that leaves you virtually no reason why you wouldn't want to use these green alternatives. And that makes it rather an easy decision to make--I've made mine, have you?

Go to Blackle / Set Blackle as homepage

Go to Znout / Set Znout as homepage

Install Znout search plugin

The End Is Not The End | House of Heroes

Genre: Indie/Rock

Free and fresh and on a golden mug. That's exactly how I want my music brewed for me. For you too, I assume! So as promised, here's part 2 of our House of Heroes Freebies Special. This time, let's take from their most recent endeavor, The End Is Not The End. As I pointed out well before, new material or not, theirs is music that always sounds incredibly fresh yet always sounds distinctively them. As the guys from HoH themselves say, this is just an offer too great to pass because it's not just one song--not even two--but three, yes, THREE songs up for grabs. And it's easy. Just hit this link here (or below), and follow the instructions written therein.

Grab the freebie!

The Imagitoons Coloring Books | Mikal Shorts

Mikal Shorts simply amazes me. It is really inspiring to know that despite how hectic college has rendered his schedule, this passionate friend of mine still manages to get those creative juices flowing wild and free.

The result? One immersive aural masterpiece that has garnered some good feedback from around the web--to be featured at a later post--and one equally amusing coloring book which easily drew out the kid in me.

Featuring endearingly bizarre artwork implicative of wildly imagined childhood fantasies exploring the thin line between the odd and the fascinating, the Imagitoons Coloring Book is a must-have for those who want to exercise their cramped creative muscles, or for those who simply feel the need to be a child again--like me! The namesake says it all; among other things, imagination is something which sets us apart from the rest of creation. And this digital volume dares you to do just that: to let out that long-forgotten child from time to time, to set free that long-encaged muse on her wings--even just for once.

Wait no more friends. Get it now!

Grab the freebie!

The Imagitoons artblog

When Shopping Becomes a Hassle

Shoppers out there have always struggled over readjustments to canvass for the right products to buy. And when I say fresh, I mean either a new band, or an old band but with new material. For the former category, it is not that hard to search among the thousands of new talent coming out recently. For the latter, it's another story. Usually if old bands (i.e. those in the scene long enough to produce more than one album) is the case, should they have new material, it just doesn't sound new at all--more often than not, the ideas would sound recycled. But there are a few artists who are simply exceptions. Not only do their new material really sound novel, even their old stuff sound equally fresh despite being a few years old.

Rock quartet House of Heroes is one of the said exceptions. Every time they come up with new stuff, it always sounds novel. It's always aurally new, something not (if not only a bit) reminiscent of any of their past songs all the while retaining a distinct feel that is totally theirs, a sound that lets you easily determine it's them alright. Well, there's really a fine line of distinction between a band having a trademark sound and a band merely recycling ideas but when it's House of Heroes I guess you'd say what I just said--new or old, it always sounds fresh while it always sounds them. To know exactly what I mean, you just got to taste both.

Fortunately, you can do just that with this 2-week House of Heroes Freebies Special we have prepared just for you. For this week, it's time for their old yet never stale material off their older album Say No More (actually a re-release of their sophomore self-titled effort circa 2005 thus even much older than it seems), particularly the songs Friday Night and Serial Sleepers, both of which are offered FREE at Gotee's official site. With but a short registration form to fill out, this is really worth the time checking out as personally, both songs have been landmarks in my journey through music and life--Friday Night in particular is an indie head-bopper talking about someone getting tired of his old life thus wanting to embrace a new one ("I don't wanna spend this Friday night, like I had to spend last Friday night...dying by the record machine"). Serial Sleepers on the other hand is a brief yet passionately dynamic and tastefully climactic wake-up call for the idle and the apathetic, which is exactly what I have been until my life took a U-turn partly because of the urgency the song conveys ("Wake up, dead. Serial sleepers, slay with words instead").

Wait no more friends--these songs have been life-changing for me as much as they were fresh-sounding. Who knows? They might do the same for you.

Sign up for a FREE account!

Grab the freebie!

What To Do Before Getting a Tattoo

The tattoo may be one of the most costly art ever done, costly for the reason that the canvas which it is to be painted on is priceless--the canvas is your body. It's just like deciding to have a new mole added to your face; it stays there forever. Thus, the success of the masterpiece depends not only on the artist, but equally (or even more) on the canvas, on the one paying for the tattoo. Of course, modern technology has made the removal of this supposedly irremovable art possible but that just adds to the expense, only making it more valuable than ever. The tattoo is art unlike any other. It's art that loses its beauty when the canvas it has been painted on starts to lose confidence in it, that is, when you start regretting why it was done on your skin in the first place. In the same way, its beauty only shows when you are proud and confident about it. For that reason, much thought and preparation is required before one decides to get the obra maestra done, reason why consultation is very much an important part to the process of getting it. And on whom could you rely more for advice on tattoos other than tattoo enthusiasts and artists themselves?

Tattoo Chat Rooms is there to provide you just that: an online community who shares a common passion for the beloved art of tattoos. Indeed with a bunch of chat rooms to choose from, it is definitely a place to meet other pintados from around the world. Through the user-friendly private messaging mode, it's never been this easier to consult guys who've got years' worth of ink on their skin, and even request designs from tattoo artists you will get to meet. Boasting a pretty much intuitive profile system, viewing your newly-met friends' galleries is just a few clicks away so you can easily take a look at shots of their tattoos . And if think yours is also worth the view, flaunt yours too! Do these and even more on Tattoo Chat Rooms.

Becoming a part of this community of tattoo lovers is simply indispensable if you're one into skin art. And it is not only because of its very nifty features, but equally because joining the gang is totally FREE and easy--registration is only 5 entries short I must add.

Sign up for a FREE account at Tattoo Chat Rooms!

(This is a sponsored post. It was rather a long, drawn out entry we wrote just to show our concern but to put it briefly, piracy is just downright wrong--it's stealing from the pockets and wallets of artists, programmers and other people who live to create, and well, create to live.

For those who see this sentiment of ours as urgent, and like us, wants to act, or already have acted upon that urge through their blogs and sites, we invite you to take part in our movement by joining the blog portal we proudly dub The Anti-Piracy Network--thanks and kudos to FeedCluster.com Blog Aggregators for such a wonderful service.

It's pretty easy. Just add your blog/site to the aggregator we created in this link. After doing so, your blog/site will be automatically crawled and featured alongside WHF. That way, people will get to see your posts aggregated with ours as feeds from The Anti-Piracy Network.

Remember, one site can only do so much. But together with all of you who share the same sentiment, there's no knowing how far we all might get, and definitely, there's no stopping our fight against this petty yet rampant crime called piracy.

One can put a thousand to flight. Two, ten thousand. (An old adage)

The Best Cars, The Best Deals | Free Car Cataloguing Service

World economy is at one of its worse right now. Among speed, gas efficiency, comfort, durability, and beauty, the price is one of the more important factors to consider when purchasing a car. On days like these, you just got to make the right choice, you just got to find the best deals. To do just that, the practical way to go would be to buy car magazines and car catalogues at your local bookshop, or simply search the net. But most of the print and even the online media only features new cars, not so much on used cars not to mention the fact that, cheap as buying catalogs is, it is but again another cost.

Come BuyYourCar.co.uk, a top-notch online car search site, which is actually more than just a catalogue. It is a FREE car search service which not only features a huge database of new cars, but also of used ones. And more than just featuring your dream car and its price, it gives a primer on your car manufacturer of choice (BMW, Chrysler, Mercedes, Volkswagen, Volvo among many more), and a review on the model you are looking for. In particular, the reviews unbiasedly rate cars in terms of practicality, life style, security and safety, finishing touches, and overall quality, as well as it shows the cars' specifications in detail (engine, make, color, body, etc). An intuitive 5-point rating system it has, you can simply glance at it and know it is just the car for you. Or, if you want to be more certain, you can read a full-on, more elaborate review covering the rated aspects. Should a car then catch your fancy, a quote free of obligation can be requested. Should you decide to finally buy it, it will be delivered for FREE*. Now, isn't that just convenient?

But that's only half the wonder BuyYourCar offers. This car search leader also features modes of payment that those on a tight budget just might love: leases and loans. The site features UK's top car brokers and dealers so you get to compare across a range of prices and eventually, find the deal just right for your budget.

Obviously a dynamic and thriving car economy on its own, BuyYourCar not only has goods for the buyer, but even for the seller. Featuring an intuitive system that lets you advertise your car for FREE** in minutes, what more do you need?

With such a system that saves both your time and money, BuyYourCar.co.uk can simply be dubbed the go-to site whether you're thinking of buying a new car, or selling your old one.

* - free service applicable only to buyers residing in the UK
** - free service applicable only to private sellers; for dealers, it's still cheap though

When Cultures Collide

The meshing of cultures can be a mess at worst, but a beauty at best. Both ways however, it sure is a party!

It was my first and second year in College when I got to experience what it feels like when cultures collide. Upon entering my dorm room, I was welcomed by two double decks whose occupants I did not know yet, nor did I care, the introvert that I am. But come day two when it was well to my surprise, I got to be living with a Tausug, a Waray, and a Japanese. Different languages, different behaviors, different personalities, and not to mention, different religions (they were a Muslim, a Mormon, and an atheist, respectively)--in short, it was an adventure. Personally, that proved to be a challenge for me to break out of my shell, which of course was to my good. Months passed by and slowly I learned to appreciate our differences and man, did we have fun. Learning a bit from each of their languages, going on outings where I got to see the real soul beneath the person, poking at each others' personality quirks and trivial mannerisms, lengthy yet engaging discussions on religion, sharing memories of family and home--oh how I miss those days.

It is simply wonderful when cultures hodgepodge--quite like having a miniature version of the world right where you are. And for those who see the beauty of that, you ought to come to Black Men White Women Chat, where you get to greet and meet other people from other cultures, and ultimately, experience the world for the diversity it has. If you love chatting, and you love doing it with people from across the globe, there is quite a chock full of IRC's to choose from, most of which however are visually lifeless and monochromatic in my own opinion. But gone are those lifeless monochromatic IRC days, because Black Men White Women Chat is just the way to go. Boasting a fresh and intuitive chatting interface which loads quite fast, an engaging profile system with which you can easily post your own pics with merely a click, and a nifty private messaging mode to let you talk personally with a friend, chatting has never been this easy as it is exciting. Highlighting an interesting variety of chat rooms that house a growing list of more than 20,000 active users, this is truly where black men & white women chat, where Asians meet Caucasians, where it's really a small world after all. That said, Black Men White Women Chat is simply a kaleidoscope, through which you get to see the many colors of this world.

And oh, as we never tire to say here at WHF, it is completely FREE of charge and FREE of fuss, with but a really short registration form requiring only your preferred username, password, email address, gender, and age. Just that, and you're good to go!

Sign up for a FREE account at Black Men White Women Chat!

(This is a sponsored post. But don't mistake it as the usual. Though likened to the aforementioned, The Glorious Unseen ain't your cookie-cutter run-of-the-mill band. They've got a sound of their own, and it's beautiful as well as it is distinct. What makes it even more beautiful is that at the very core of what they do, you'll find not themselves or their artistry, but the one they're doing it all for. Almost always vertical, and barely horizontal, this is a must-grab worship freebie.

How do you grab it? Simple, just follow these 4 steps:

1. Albeit several web hosting services are listed online, not all of them provide competent services beginning webmasters ought to have. Should you be looking for the perfect web hosting service, the instinctive thing to do would be to google "web hosts" or the like, then browse through the hundreds of pages returned. Or, you could sign up for legit forums, and get consultation from other users. But then, to make things harder, you don't really know the credibility of those you're inquiring from. Either way (googling and joining forums) only proves to be a lot of inconvenience and inefficiency in your inquiry and search for the ideal web host.

BUT, worry aside, Web Hosting Geeks makes the search easier for us--that is, FREE of hassle and FREE of charge, just the way we like it here at WeHeartFreebies where there's love for all things free. Although not a fan of the franchise myself (albeit Sendo apparently is), I have to admit it's an endless rave, a contagious fever, one that hasn't died down weeks or even months after the screening--the sensational Twilight, that is. And since that's obviously what most of you want, then that's what all of you should get (and few of you would bash me for, LOL). What amazes me is the dozens of freebies that show up when you google the movie's namesake. A large number of it are merely promotional gimmicks that's not worth the time checking out though. So we here at WHF decided to filter out the crap and leave out the best to save you time should you be on the hunt for some Bella and Edward goodies.

Lo and behold, a list of fine Twilight freebies a fan ought not miss. But upon nearing it, cute turned scary as it jumped right at me flashing fangs only Dracula could've endowed them. Apparently, this cute critter which, according to the story was once my pet, turns out to be only one of the hundreds of albino vampire-like creatures that I have to shoot to survive Puki 3D, an excellently animated, simply endearing heckuva shooter.

What made it engaging for me is the fact that it's in first person, and we're not talking "stick figure" type of first person--which is very common among flash games today by the way--but 3-dimensional first person, proof that the game's creator is not that lazy after all. Albeit cartoon-like and simple, the deceptively charming gait of the Pukis as well as the bobbing and dodging of your head--the first person "camera" so to speak--totally makes up for the unsophisticated vectors, thus making it even more engaging.

Play freebie now!

When Robots Rebel: What To Do

Save me from boredom.

That was my silent plead as I searched the vastness of the interwebs. Then came Robo Riot, one of the culprits to these ever-darkening large bags under my eyes. You see, I just fancy the idea of robots. The idea of them developing their own will then revolting against human masters, I fancy even more--thus my infatuation to the Matrix anthology, particularly its history as told in the Animatrix. And if it were to happen for real, it would surely be FUN to be part of the special forces tasked to prevent the insurrection from furthering, which is exactly what Robo Riot gave me the chance to take part of.

Now you might get the idea that it's as complex as the movie/franchise I'm comparing it to, BUT don't fret, it's quite the opposite! A simple yet engaging game, it features 2 modes of straightforward yet easily enjoyable gameplay, one of which any bored net-zombie would certainly dig if only to pass time: a fresh idea for a puzzler, and a trigger-happy fast-sniping shooter.

Description from the creator (Urbansquall)

"Robots are getting tired of doing the bidding of their human masters and they’ve figured it’s finally time to overthrow them. In this engaging arcade puzzler, it’s your job to protect humanity from the endless robotic horde. Take down wave after wave of robots, collect power-ups and save the world in the Crowd Control play mode. Just a heads up for their treats this week.

For the music downloads, it's It Might Be Hope by contemporary Christian artist Sara Groves from her 5-star rater album Tell Me What You Know. PLUS, I Will Run by Vegas-based worship leader (and, no, not the Ugly Betty actor) Freddy Rodriguez from his also high-rating album Light in the Darkness. (Click on said album's links for reviews from ChristianityToday.)

Now, the video freebie would be what I'm really stoked for as it's something from Fiction Family, a dream project conceived by an amazingly talented duo: Jon Foreman of Switchfoot, and Sean Watkins of Nickel Creek. Not so long ago, their first song When She's Near--which is DEFINITELY AWESOME I should say--was posted as a free music download on their site. Who would have thought a free video of the same song would immediately follow?

Again, these are weekly treats that, well, might only be free for this week. So you better grab 'em now!

Sign up for FREE at iTicket!

Sign up for FREE at VideoRocket!

Grab music freebie!

Grab video freebie!

Digger | Ursula Vernon

Hear ye, hear ye.
