One has only to see Jack Blades perform live to know that he was born to make music. With a new album entitled Rock 'n Roll Ride and a myriad of upcoming tour dates with Night Ranger, he continues to share his gift of songwriting with the world. Jack's schedule is always full, and in this interview he talks about filming a new TV show called Rock Star Kitchen, hitting the golf course with Alice Cooper, singing the National Anthem at a recent NASCAR race (and cruising around the track at 170mph!), guesting on two Fox News talk shows (Hannity and Red Eye), appearing on Celebrity Ghost Stories, what kind of music he likes to listen to when he's not MAKING music, and what he might be doing today if he weren't a musician. WMGK is proud to welcome singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Timothy B. Schmit to Philadelphia for a solo show at the Keswick Theatre on May 31st. You probably know him best as a member of the Eagles, and Poco before that, but his voice is all over some of the biggest Classic Rock albums ever recorded, including the works of Steely Dan, Crosby Stills & Nash, and Bob Seger to name just a few. He's getting ready to hit the road with his own band for some more dates in support of his latest release Expando, and was kind enough to take the time to call and chat about these upcoming shows, his recent visit to South Africa with the Eagles, receiving an honorary Doctorate degree from Berklee, writing new music, and one of his favorite places to visit in Philly.
