Spaghetti & Meatball Dinner Fundraiser

On Saturday, October 17th from 4 PM to 8 PM, the Knights of Columbus, Pius IX Council will be hosting a Spaghetti & Meatball Dinner fundraiser. Dinner is all you can eat and includes salad, desert and non-alcoholic beverage. Wine and Bar drinks available for purchase. Fixed Price donation of $10 for adults, $5 for Children 6 and under. 1st Annual Engines for Emma Benefit Car Show

Emma is a beautiful little 6 year old girl who enjoys playing outside, swimming, and just doing things that all children love to do. Emma adores her dog, Harley, and her four cats. Emma enjoys going to car shows with her mom and dad, and also enjoys monster trucks, her favorite is Grave Digger.

On August 6th, Emma's family had their world turned upside down. Emma was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma. Emma has a long road to recovery, and we're all very positive that she will beat this disease.

All money raised for this event will go directly to Emma's parents help offset some of the accruing medical expenses.

Registration will open at 12:00 and close at 2:00. The Show will run till 5:00. The Top 25 trophies that will be 2' tall. Best of Show: Car, Truck and Bike will all be 3' tall. Emma will have her own special pick which will be 4' tall.
If you're free this weekend, we'd love to see you come to our event, and give Emma and her family all the support they need. Let them know that they aren't in this fight alone! More Info

WMGK's Rock MD Finals

Five bands, each containing at least one local doctor, will rock the stage for The 3rd Annual 102.9 WMGK Rock MD Finals proudly supported by Cancer Treatment Centers of America.

The 5 bands will compete to win a $2000 donation to their charity of choice, free recording time at Philly Sound Studios & the title ROCK MD CHAMPIONS.

Tickets ($10) can be purchased online or at the door that evening.

This year's celebrity judging panel includes:
David Uosikkinen drummer in The Hooters & In The Pocket
Dave Kinchen, Reporter, FOX 29 News

3rd Annual Battle on the Boulevard Softball Tournament

The Milmont and Folsom Fire Company’s in conjunction with the nationally recognized “Nathan Speare Regional Burn Treatment Center”of the Crozer at Crozer Chester Medical Center, will be holding our 3rd Annual Battle on the Boulevard fundraising softball tournament at Father Nall Field, Woodlyn on October 10, 2015 at 8 A.M to raise money and awareness for the “Nathan Spear Regional Burn Treatment Center.” The event will feature not only the games but food and further entertainment for both players and spectators.

"The Nathan Spear Regional Burn Treatment Center” at Crozer Chester Medical Center is proud to be celebrating 40 years of providing specialized burn care to the Delaware Valley. The Burn Center opened in November, 1973. The Burn Center was the first in the state of Pennsylvania to be verified by the American Burn Association and the AmericanCollege of Surgeons in June, 2000. The Out-patientBurnWoundCareCenter opened in 1996. More than 11,000 admitted patients and more than 8,000 out-patients over the years.

Burn Center is also proud to support a strong Out-Reach Community Program that focuses on pediatric school re-entry, occupational work re-entry, burn safety and prevention for all ages. They also provide health care education in the forms of observational experiences, an Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS) course with the American Burn Association, as well as the Student Nurse Program that reaches numerous nursing programs throughout the tri-state area.”

12th Annual Valley Road Run

Last year over 300 runners and their families came out for the morning of this 5K run for cancer care. The Breathing Room Foundation is hoping to continue to expand this strong cause this year with the 12th Annual Valley Road Run.

The Breathing Room Foundation's mission is to provide care and support to families affected by cancer. This is truly neighbors helping neighbors, as they adopt families in Philadelphia, Montgomery, Bucks, Chester, and Delaware counties. They are serving 628 families this year, with more reaching out every day. $.95 of every $1.00 raised goes directly to their programs!

The 3rd annual Protect the Badge Golf tournament, which benefits officers killed in the line of duty. This is for the families of any officer in Philadelphia, Montgomery, Bucks, Chester or Delaware county lost while serving the public. Their hope is to raise as much money as possible to help the family in their time of need. They are looking for golfers and sponsorship/product donation.
