The 5th Annual South Eastern Pennsylvania Fallen Firefighters Golf Benefit

The 5th Annual South Eastern Pennsylvania Fallen Firefighters Golf Benefit will be held on Friday, June 1st at the Bensalem Township Country Club. This event is held in honor of fallen firefighters and in support of their families; all proceeds earned will directly benefit the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and the Local 22 International Association of Fire Fighters Survivor’s Fund. Firefighters from all parts of the southeastern Pennsylvania area will be hosting this Memorial Golf Tournament, which is located at 2000 Brown Avenue, Bensalem, PA 19020. Fore the Troops is an annual golf outing held at Skippack Golf Club at Evansburg State Park, Skippack, PA to support the men and women of the United States Military. $400 per foursome includes: Scramble format with 10:30 am Shotgun start, Box Lunch, Buffet Dinner and Beverage Contest Holes plus Designated Driver and Beat the Pro. Treats for Troops is an organization that sends care packages to our service men and women serving around the world. All proceeds from the 3rd annual Fore the Troops Golf Outing go to Treats for Troops. The organization will be collecting items to be sent to the troops. Help Barry Burgoyne Beat Cancer

Barry Burgoyne was diagnosed with Ewing’s sarcoma, a malignant round cell tumor in April 2012. Due to the rarity of this disease, Barry will be receiving treatment at Sloan Kettering Memorial Hospital in NYC. In order to pay for these treatments, Barry’s family will be holding a fundraiser on Sunday, June 10^th. This fundraiser is a motorcycle ride starting at West Chester Cycle and ending at Cheeseburger in Paradise in Exton, PA. The cost is $20 per rider and $10 for non-riders.Sign-ups begin at 10 am in West Chester and the ride begins at 11 am. Non motorcycle riders will meet at Cheeseburger in Paradise at 1 pm to join the festivities. There will also be raffles, door prizes, silent auctions, food, music and much more! 4th Annual Walk for Lupus Now events

The Lupus Foundation of America is bringing two events to South Jersey and Delaware as part of a national walk/run series. On May 20th, take a 2K or 4K walk around Ocean City, NJ starting at 9 a.m across from the 6th Street Field. Relive the walk on June 24th and journey around the Riverfront in Wilmington, DE starting at 7:30 a.m at the Dravo Plaza. All proceeds benefit The Lupus Foundation of America, the foremost national nonprofit voluntary health organization dedicated to finding the causes and cure for lupus. Currently, over 55,000 people suffer from this condition in the Philadelphia Tri-State area, Southern New Jersey and Delaware. There is no registration fee and the event is open to all ages.
