We welcomed Donnell Rawlings to the studio this morning. The man has done many things in life, including military service, acting (The Wire), and now stand-up (Helium Comedy Club tonight). But today he mainly just ranted about life in the Air Force, using his race card, and the lack of black gummy bears in the world. It was delightful. Check him out!

Ken Caillat on Making Rumours

This morning we talked with music producer Ken Caillat, who knows more about the Fleetwood Mac soap opera than probably anybody but the band members themselves! He produced their iconic album, Rumours, while only 29 years old. His knew book, Making Rumours, has plenty of stories to tell about the writing, recording, drinking, fighting and all the other drama that Fleetwood Mac was infamous for. Check him out!

Debut screening of film about Clarence Clemons this Wednesday

If you haven’t gotten to the National Constitution Center yet to see the Bruce Springsteen exhibition, you still have plenty of time. From Asbury Park to the Promised Land: The Life and Music of Bruce Springsteen runs through September 3rd. An added bonus to seeing the exhibit will be the screening this Wednesday, May 23 at 5 pm of a film starring the late Clarence Clemons. “Who Do I Think I Am? A Portrait of a Journey” is a documentary that follows Clemons during multiple trips to China in search of himself, and to explore the land. The original 60-minute film debuted at the Garden State Film Festival earlier this year. Prior to Clemons’ death, Director Nick Mead had worked with him on a new version featuring an additional 15 minutes of footage. Now, for the first time, the public can see the 75-minute version of the documentary at the National Constitution Center. Mead will attend the screening and participate in a special Q & A session. Meet Elaina Karayannis. She's a Beatles fan (YAAY!), a college student and, for the last nine years, she's suffered from Lyme Disease, a painful and debilitating bacterial infection that is transmitted by a tick bite. Pennsylvania has the highest number of Lyme Disease cases in the country, and Chester County leads the state in Lyme cases. Elaina volunteers at the Lyme Disease Association of Southeastern PA (LDASEPA), and she has helped to organize their first ever Lyme Disease Awareness Walk. It's THIS Saturday at Elwood L. Crossan Park in beautiful Landenberg, Chester County, PA. Proceeds benefit LDASEPA's continued work of information, support and prevention of Lyme Disease. The registration begins at 9am and the walk starts at 10am. Registration includes a t-shirt (and a bandana, if you're bringing your pooch!) There was much to be discussed in Phillies baseball this time, as they just wrap an animated series in Washington with newfound rivals, the Nationals.
