Albay …the province that is bounded by the province of Camarines Sur on the north and by the Province of Sorsogon on the south is known worldwide as the land of the world’s most perfect cone- the Mayon Volcano. A visitor’s stay in Albay would not be complete if the majestic beauty of Mayon Volcano is not seen. But as in most cases, the peak would be covered with clouds, very much in character with the coyness of the “daragang magayon” (beautiful maiden) it is likened to. The mystery and tantrums of this volcano however, has left a trail of countless deaths and destructions to property.

A very popular tourist destination for its excellent cool breeze of air, mountainous treks of nature, green pastures of land that is perfect for horseback riding, and of course the view of the popular and historical Taal Volcano.

The City of Pasig was founded on July 1573. The original Pasig was a vast territory of mountainous and grass field trek extending as it did from Montalban 20 kilometers to the North (being in olden times a barrio of San Mateo) and as far south as Bai more than 50 kms. as the crow flies. The early known settlers when the Spaniards came to Pasig were called – Remontados. The name was derived from the Spanish verb “remontar,” meaning, “to flee from the hills,” ”to frighten away,” or “go back to the mountains.” This indigenous peoples are said to be the descendants of lowlanders who opted to live in the mountains to avoid subjugation and persecution by the occupying Spaniards.

A province in the northeastern corner part of Luzon facing the Pacific Ocean, Cagayan Province is home and the regional center of the Cagayan Valley Region. Derived from the word “tagay” a kind of plant that abundantly grows in the province it was subsequently named “Catagayan” which means where the plant comes from. ( Don’t mistake the word for its street traditional term “Tagay” which means “Your turn for the shot of drink” in a drinking session.) Cagayan Province is bounded by the Pacific Ocean on the east, on the southside Which is Isabela Province, on the west is the Cordillera Mountains, and on the north by the Balintang Channel and the Babuyan Group of Islands. About a few kilometers from the northeastern tip of the province is the Palaui Island, and to the west is Fuga Island. The Babuyan Group of Islands, which includes Calayan, Dalupiri, Camiguin, and Babuyan Claro, is about 60 nautical miles north of Luzon mainland.

A highly urbanized community in the province of Lanao del Norte in the Southern part of the Philippines. It is about 795 kilometers southeast of Manila and has a population count of 308,046 according to the National Statistics count of 2007.

This city got its nickname as The City of Waterfalls because of the presence of more or less 20 waterfalls that includes the majestic Maria Chritina Falls (Life of the City). Visitors can also enjoy the elegant beauty of Tinago Falls (translated as Hidden Falls ) because it is literally hidden in a deep ravine.The way that leads in going to and coming from the falls adds up to the thrill of being there as mountain trekking could be added as an additional destination experience . Some other accessible falls to visit are Mimbalut Falls, Limunsudan Falls and Hindang Falls.

The Province of Pangasinan where beautiful unexploited landscapes of nature exists. A place where innovation, technology and urban development is a continuous project. A place where technology and nature co-exists.

Hundred Islands - Pangasinan

Its location from Metro Manila is about a 170 kilometers and could be traveled by land in about 4 hours passing thru the provinces of Bulacan, Pampanga and Tarlac and arriving the first town of Pangasinan which is Rosales ( Carmen is the municipality ) via Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway Project (TPLUEP). This is the province where I also frequented during my younger years as its the land of my ancestry on my mother side. My grandmother comes from Urdaneta City and I remember the house I frequented along the main road infront of the market. Pangasinan is also one of the provinces that have a good number of cities in place such as Alaminos City, Dagupan City, Urdaneta City and San Carlos City. But that doesn’t stop there since it has 44 municipalities, 1354 barangays and 6 congressional districts that comprises the whole province. Each individual municipalities are well known throughout Luzon if not in the whole country, maybe because its a favorite stop to other northern destinations. The local population are very friendly and most speak Panggalatok or Pangasinense with Ilocano and Tagalog as subsequent dialects. During my stays in Pangasinan, I would never leave without some large bottle or carafe of bagoong “salted shrimp” towards my voyage back to Manila as the place is where the best bagoong is produced and some are even exported.
